They were installed just a day ago, uh two days ago. Um [0:03:29, 0:03:36]: And we're so happy that you've decided to continue your commitment to the Main Street Advisory Board and to the City of Stockbridge. [0:03:37, 0:03:47]: Yes, thank you. But you know what, for the record, let's make sure it's official. If you need to put in the chat, that's fine too. [0:04:02, 0:04:03]: Yep, I'm present in here. [0:04:04, 0:04:07]: Thank you, sir. Um Mr. Willie Horton. [0:04:09, 0:04:11]: I mean I put names together. Lord Mr. Willie. [0:04:12, 0:04:22]: Hopkins. Because I'm looking at his screen. I know you stepped away. We'll give him a moment. Um looks like he had to step away for just a sec. Um, Mr. Greg Horton. [0:04:22, 0:04:26]: Present. Thank you, sir. Uh Miss Linda Jones. [0:04:27, 0:04:28]: Miss Linda Jones. [0:04:48, 0:04:49]: Thank you, man. [0:04:50, 0:04:52]: Um and may approach him. [0:04:52, 0:04:54]: Alfonso Thomas Thomas. [0:04:54, 0:04:56]: President. [0:04:56, 0:05:03]: All right, we uh do have a quorum. We'll d circle back and see if Mr. Willie Hopkins. [0:05:05, 0:05:06]: Is present. [0:05:07, 0:05:18]: We'll give him a moment. Again, it looks like he may have um needed to take a uh a step away, but he is showing on the screen. Uh so we'll just um give him an opportunity to return, circle back to um the meeting in just a moment. [0:05:19, 0:05:25]: All right, with the roll call done, uh again we will say that he is present. [0:05:25, 0:05:35]: uh and say we have a quorum. We will now move on to uh the reading of the mission statement. Um I would love to read it today if that's at all uh okay with the board. [0:05:36, 0:05:46]: That's fine. Yes, please. Thank you. So the mission of the stock is for our board. Uh the Stockbridge Main Street. [0:06:13, 0:06:17]: Next on our agenda is the review and approval of the agenda. [0:06:18, 0:06:22]: Excuse me, ma madam chair, just a correction, maybe it's too soon to make it. [0:06:22, 0:06:29]: On the agenda, the date is Jan you have January 20, 2020. That's just a minor correction I just saw. [0:06:29, 0:06:33]: Thank you. That is that forty and slope that most of us have this time. [0:06:34, 0:06:54]: So um uh we will make sure that that is corrected. Uh there has been a corrected agenda that has been provided. Um I don't believe it made it to everyone just yet, but I'm actually looking at a corrected version. I'm sure our program manager will um uh ensure this version makes it into the minutes. Um [0:06:53, 0:07:00]: Um and that um into the record and that each of you have a copy of it. So it has been corrected, but thank you for for noticing that. [0:07:01, 0:07:06]: Yes, I actually hit send on the document and tried to recall [0:07:06, 0:07:25]: the um email that I sent out. So I think some of you did get the corrected one. But I've also sent out an another corrected one this morning just to make sure that everyone has the corrected document. And I apologize for that. That was just one of those things, like Anika said at the beginning of the year. [0:07:26, 0:07:28]: You're typing so fast you don't even think about it. [0:07:29, 0:07:34]: But yes, um I will make sure that the corrected version with the correct year date [0:07:34, 0:07:36]: Is in our records. [0:07:37, 0:07:38]: Thank you. [0:07:38, 0:07:51]: Let us also let the record reflect before we um uh move to accept the agenda with the corrections that Miss Barber Richardson has joined the meeting. Good morning and happy new year, Miss Richardson. Good morning. [0:07:54, 0:07:55]: She's on mute. [0:07:56, 0:07:56]: Okay. [0:07:57, 0:08:02]: Good morning. I didn't realise I was on mute. Happy New Year, everyone. Happy New Year to you too. [0:08:03, 0:08:10]: Alrighty. So with the noted corrections, is there a need for um any discussion regarding the agenda for our meeting? [0:08:14, 0:08:14]: Okay. [0:08:14, 0:08:20]: Hearing none, can we please get a motion to um accept it as uh with the corrections noted? [0:08:23, 0:08:24]: You mute it, Miss Miss Reed. [0:08:27, 0:08:30]: I move that we accept the agenda with the note of correction. [0:08:31, 0:08:31]: Thank you, ma'am. [0:08:31, 0:08:32]: Second anywhere? [0:08:33, 0:08:33]: Anyone? [0:08:34, 0:08:34]: A second. [0:08:35, 0:08:36]: Thank you, Mr. Firch. [0:08:37, 0:08:44]: Uh in order to ensure that the record is reflected properly, we will go through each name to ensure that we have a yay or nay to um accept. [0:08:45, 0:08:48]: the motion as as presented, which is [0:08:48, 0:08:57]: That we um accept the agenda as written with the noted need to correct the year date. Um, Mr. Furch, your vote? [0:09:01, 0:09:02]: And you are muted, sir. [0:09:06, 0:09:07]: Yes. [0:09:07, 0:09:08]: Thank you. [0:09:09, 0:09:13]: Mr. Hopkins is still not available, so we will move on to Mr Thornton. [0:09:15, 0:09:16]: Morton, yes. [0:09:17, 0:09:20]: Yes, Mr. Horton. I apologize. I know your name. [0:09:21, 0:09:27]: Thank you. Um, Miss Uh Potts, I say yes. Miss Reed [0:09:27, 0:09:28]: Yes. [0:09:29, 0:09:35]: Thank you. Miss Richardson? Yes. Thank you. Miss Sanders? Yes. Thank you. [0:09:35, 0:09:37]: Mr. Tom Thomas. [0:09:37, 0:09:43]: Yes. Thank you. Uh the motion has carried and we will move on with the agenda as presented. [0:09:43, 0:09:54]: Uh thank you all for that. We will now review um and go through the approval process of our uh meeting minutes from our December twenty twenty virtual meeting. [0:09:54, 0:09:55]: Um [0:09:56, 0:10:07]: Again, this information has been sent to you previously prior to the meeting to ensure that we would be able to move quickly through this portion. Uh does anyone have any need to uh bring up [0:10:07, 0:10:10]: something that needs to be reviewed, edited, or revised. [0:10:11, 0:10:12]: Or add it. [0:10:14, 0:10:14]: Rice. [0:10:24, 0:10:25]: All right. [0:10:27, 0:10:34]: Hearing none, uh can we please have uh a motion to accept the December uh [0:10:35, 0:10:39]: twenty twenty meeting agenda for the Main Street Advisory Board as presented. [0:10:39, 0:10:40]: Minutes. [0:10:41, 0:10:42]: Minutes, thank you. [0:10:47, 0:10:48]: Madam Chair. [0:10:48, 0:10:49]: Yes, you sweet. [0:10:50, 0:10:53]: Uh I've uh move that we accept the minutes as presented. [0:10:53, 0:10:54]: Thank you, ma'am. [0:10:55, 0:10:56]: Do you have a second? [0:11:00, 0:11:00]: A second. [0:11:01, 0:11:09]: Thank you, Mr. Furge. We will uh go through the voting the same as we did with the agenda. Uh Mr. Furge, in favor or not? [0:11:10, 0:11:12]: I've accepted thank you. [0:11:12, 0:11:17]: Uh we will move beyond Mr. Hopkins, Mr. Horton. [0:11:18, 0:11:18]: Yes. [0:11:19, 0:11:21]: Thank you. Um [0:11:23, 0:11:24]: Does someone speak? [0:11:27, 0:11:33]: Okay. All right. Just guess there's a little feedback. Myself, uh Anika Potts, yes. Miss Reed. [0:11:34, 0:11:41]: Yes. Thank you. Um Miss Richardson? Yes. Thank you. Miss Sanders? [0:11:42, 0:11:45]: Yes. Thank you. And Mr. Thomas. [0:11:46, 0:11:47]: Yes. [0:11:47, 0:11:49]: Thank you. Uh so moved. [0:11:50, 0:12:10]: Uh at this point we will um uh allow the meeting minutes to be uh added to the record for future uh reference. And then finally on reviewing and approval approving, we have our financial statement for December 2020 that we need to review and approve. Um [0:12:10, 0:12:13]: Any need for discussion questions or concerns? [0:12:15, 0:12:16]: Madam Chairwoman. [0:12:16, 0:12:18]: Yes, list rhymes. [0:12:19, 0:12:21]: Um yes, I just wanted to um [0:12:22, 0:12:22]: Um [0:12:23, 0:12:38]: point out on the um account summary income statement that we still have under the line item of copy of rental, that number has not moved since we first noted it in July to um$50 and 65 cents. [0:12:38, 0:12:46]: Um that is um the only thing that we had not planned for, as I mentioned before in our budget, and that's why it has [0:12:46, 0:12:48]: Um a negative balance there. [0:12:49, 0:12:51]: Um that will be rectified. Um [0:12:52, 0:12:54]: Once um the financial team [0:12:54, 0:12:58]: Does the final um cleaning up of the books for the end of the year? [0:12:58, 0:13:02]: And that will probably be um remedied by taking [0:13:02, 0:13:03]: Um fifty [0:13:04, 0:13:10]: dollars and sixty five cents from the supplies and materials. Um that's something that they will do. [0:13:10, 0:13:12]: Um internali with regard to [0:13:13, 0:13:13]: Um [0:13:14, 0:13:21]: closing out the books for the end of the year. So um everything else is in balance and um [0:13:21, 0:13:22]: Аж you can see. [0:13:22, 0:13:26]: Uh we ended the year because we did not have um [0:13:26, 0:13:28]: as much programming or we're not able to [0:13:29, 0:13:31]: provide as much programming um [0:13:31, 0:13:34]: At least at the level that we are used to during the year. [0:13:34, 0:13:36]: We did um in the year with [0:13:36, 0:13:44]: Um, a pretty high balance one that we've never seen before. And of course, that's just due to the COVID restrictions and our inability. [0:13:44, 0:13:51]: to um do the programming that we um have come to expect. So I did just want to point that out. [0:13:51, 0:13:56]: And um let everyone know that um, you know, for the most part uh we're in good standing. [0:13:59, 0:14:02]: Yes. I was looking at that and saying, Wow, that's a nice [0:14:03, 0:14:09]: You'll never see that again, exactly. But you totally understand why. [0:14:10, 0:14:10]: Okay. [0:14:11, 0:14:14]: Any additional discussion, concerns, questions? [0:14:18, 0:14:26]: Okay, hearing and seeing none, um we now um ask for a motion to um accept the uh [0:14:27, 0:14:37]: December twenty twenty financial statement for the Main Street Advisory Board as presented with the noted understanding of why there is a uh [0:14:37, 0:14:39]: uh credit. [0:14:39, 0:14:40]: on one of the line items. [0:14:40, 0:14:44]: A a negative balance. Negative negative balance. [0:14:45, 0:14:48]: And um the copier rental line item. [0:14:49, 0:14:53]: And they copy a renter renter rental line item. [0:15:04, 0:15:15]: Mr. Hopkins, you are muted. Yes, sir. Yes. I I move that we accept the December 2020 financial report with the necessary adjustments in place in the archives for future auditing purposes. [0:15:15, 0:15:16]: Okay, thank you, sir. [0:15:18, 0:15:19]: Can we get a second, please? [0:15:22, 0:15:38]: Ms. Mr. Reed. I'll s I'll second. Thank you, ma'am. Um and we will go and through the name uh names to ensure we are getting a proper uh vote uh to see if we are in favor against this motion. Uh so Mr. Firch. [0:15:41, 0:15:42]: And we are all muted at this time. [0:15:46, 0:15:49]: He might not be able to be present. [0:15:49, 0:15:50]: Mr. Furch. [0:15:52, 0:15:54]: Okay. Mr. Hopkins. [0:15:56, 0:15:57]: Yes, sir. [0:15:58, 0:15:59]: Thank you. [0:16:01, 0:16:02]: Uh, Mr. Horton. [0:16:03, 0:16:04]: Yes. [0:16:04, 0:16:05]: Thank you. [0:16:07, 0:16:11]: I Anika Potts are in favor, yes. Uh Miss Reed? [0:16:12, 0:16:13]: Yes. Thank you. [0:16:15, 0:16:20]: I uh got a message that Mr. Firch is in favor. Miss Richardson. [0:16:20, 0:16:21]: Yes. [0:16:21, 0:16:22]: Thank you. [0:16:22, 0:16:24]: Uh Miss Sanders? [0:16:24, 0:16:27]: Yes. Thank you. And Mr. Thomas. [0:16:27, 0:16:36]: Yes. Thank you. Unanimously move. Um thank you so much for allowing us to go through that portion of the meeting. Um we will now uh [0:16:37, 0:16:43]: Turn our meeting over to our Main Street Advisory Board who will give us our report. [0:16:44, 0:16:48]: Good morning everyone and um happy new year. [0:16:48, 0:16:56]: It's great to see everyone and see that we are all safe and sound and have uh made it through twenty twenty. [0:16:57, 0:17:00]: It's been a challenge for everyone and I'm kinda happy to [0:17:01, 0:17:04]: See that one move on and us to move forward. [0:17:05, 0:17:19]: Okay. Um with regard to um old business on the agenda, um basically I just had two housekeeping items um that I need to have everyone um to pay attention to. [0:17:19, 0:17:25]: If you did not turn in your um bio sheet, I sent those out last month. [0:17:25, 0:17:28]: Um, I have only received I think three. [0:17:28, 0:17:41]: I need an updated bio bio sheet from everyone. So if you could please send those in. Those who um had were required to send in their board intent, they don't have to do one because it's basically the same information. [0:17:42, 0:17:45]: Um so please get that in to me as soon as you can. [0:17:46, 0:17:52]: And then also um we have um our board positions. I wanted to remind everyone. [0:17:52, 0:18:12]: That we have some board positions that are available, and we need you all to reach into your networks and try to encourage someone who you feel would be a fit with our board to fill the vacant positions. The first position is that of an [0:18:12, 0:18:15]: arts organization representative. [0:18:16, 0:18:19]: And it has to be a stock bridge based um [0:18:19, 0:18:27]: Arts organization. We did receive an um application from an arts organization that is [0:18:28, 0:18:31]: Um technically has a stock bridge address. [0:18:32, 0:18:39]: But um because of where they are located, they are an unincorporated stock bridge. So [0:18:39, 0:18:40]: That has um [0:18:41, 0:18:44]: posed a challenge um because there aren't [0:18:44, 0:18:45]: That many [0:18:45, 0:18:53]: arts organizations that are located in within the city of Stockbridge's boundaries as far as their location. [0:18:54, 0:19:03]: site or at least their um post office postal address. And so that is something that we might want to look at as a board. [0:19:03, 0:19:05]: With regard to um [0:19:06, 0:19:08]: The arts organization um [0:19:09, 0:19:10]: Like our [0:19:10, 0:19:12]: Um position for the [0:19:12, 0:19:15]: um architect slash um [0:19:15, 0:19:18]: Landscape design slash interior decorator position. [0:19:19, 0:19:22]: That particular position per or by laws [0:19:22, 0:19:25]: Із алобафової Henry County. [0:19:26, 0:19:27]: uh resident because that [0:19:28, 0:19:37]: particular position is so narrow in its focus. Um and because Stockbridge might not [0:19:37, 0:19:41]: Um have the ability to um being within the city limits might not. [0:19:42, 0:19:42]: Um [0:19:42, 0:19:47]: be able to appropriately fill that position and we've had trouble trying to keep that position filled. [0:19:48, 0:19:50]: Um it was open to [0:19:50, 0:19:54]: Um a Henry K Stockbridge um Henry County resident. [0:19:54, 0:20:00]: So that's something that um you all might want to entertain for the arts organization. [0:20:01, 0:20:02]: as well because [0:20:02, 0:20:05]: Um several of the arts organizations that [0:20:06, 0:20:08]: I even know of are outside of the city limits. [0:20:09, 0:20:15]: So if that is something that you all would like to um entertain, let me know. That would require [0:20:16, 0:20:21]: Um a bylaws change and vote from the board in order for us. [0:20:21, 0:20:24]: to implement that particular change. [0:20:24, 0:20:26]: Um the other position [0:20:26, 0:20:34]: Is a business owner outside of the Main Street district. That position has just come open as um [0:20:35, 0:20:40]: Miss Um Anita Johnson will be rolling off the board. She is closing her business. [0:20:41, 0:20:42]: And um [0:20:42, 0:20:56]: will um is retiring, closing your business and retiring. So we will need another business owner outside of the Main Street district to fill that particular um space on the board. [0:20:56, 0:21:10]: So we've got the arts organization representative, we have the architect landscape or interior designer position, and then we have the one position for business outside of the Main Street District. [0:21:10, 0:21:11]: And um [0:21:12, 0:21:24]: There have been a couple of people who have expressed an interest in the business owner, but they have not yet submitted their application. In the event we get more than one application, we of course will [0:21:24, 0:21:42]: um share those applications with the board members so that we can make a recommendation to the city council members um for appointment. So just kind of think about it. Think about your networks, your um did other boards that you serve on. [0:21:43, 0:21:56]: you know, friends, family members, anyone that you feel would be um interested in our mission and would like to serve on the Main Street Advisory Board. Those two those three positions all have um [0:21:56, 0:21:57]: A [0:21:57, 0:21:58]: Two year term. [0:21:59, 0:22:05]: So um just wanted to bring that out. Is there any opinion or discussion with regard to [0:22:05, 0:22:06]: Um [0:22:06, 0:22:11]: the arts organization position and um my recommendation for [0:22:12, 0:22:12]: Um [0:22:13, 0:22:21]: Changing the bylaw so that we can um cast that net a little bit wider or do you all feel we need to give it a little bit more time? [0:22:21, 0:22:23]: To see if we can um try to [0:22:24, 0:22:26]: Um uncover some stock bridge base. [0:22:27, 0:22:27]: Um [0:22:28, 0:22:29]: Arts organizations. [0:22:30, 0:22:32]: Uh Miss Richardson, I think I saw your hand raised. [0:22:33, 0:22:41]: I'm well, I didn't have a question about that. I just wanted to get the three positions again. Okay. It is um the first one is a business. [0:22:42, 0:22:49]: um representative outside of the Main Street district. So that'll be outside of the downtown area, but within the city limits. [0:22:49, 0:22:51]: The second one is [0:22:51, 0:22:54]: Um kind of a hybrid position. It can be a [0:22:55, 0:22:55]: Architect. [0:22:56, 0:22:57]: An interior designer [0:22:58, 0:23:01]: or a landscape architect. [0:23:02, 0:23:02]: Okay. [0:23:03, 0:23:04]: And then the um [0:23:05, 0:23:09]: Third position is an arts organization representative. [0:23:09, 0:23:14]: Okay. Thank you. And it can be any type of arts organization. And right now [0:23:14, 0:23:19]: It has to be located within the Stockbridge city limits. Okay. [0:23:20, 0:23:21]: Okay. [0:23:21, 0:23:23]: Miss Reed, you had a question? [0:23:23, 0:23:26]: Uh comment to what Kira was discussing with the art. [0:23:26, 0:23:27]: organization. [0:23:28, 0:23:32]: I think we should go ahead and consider outside of the city of Stockbridge. [0:23:32, 0:23:35]: Because that uh it seems to be kind of a limited [0:23:36, 0:23:39]: Um connection as far as the city is concerned. [0:23:39, 0:23:40]: Yeah, sorry. [0:23:41, 0:23:46]: So I don't know that we need to delay that, but should make a decision now to continue looking. [0:23:46, 0:23:51]: To add it does not eliminate if we find someone for the city of Stockbridge. [0:23:52, 0:23:59]: Okay. Thank you. Mr. Thomas But within Henry County, would you say? Uh yes, yes, I'm sorry, within Henry County. [0:24:01, 0:24:04]: Okay. Mr. Hopkins oh Annika. [0:24:04, 0:24:05]: Wait. [0:24:05, 0:24:10]: Um, madam chair, thank you. Uh Madam Chair, I move that we [0:24:11, 0:24:13]: Um consider [0:24:13, 0:24:22]: bylaws legislation to uh extend the arts category into um [0:24:23, 0:24:26]: From the k from the city out to the county. [0:24:26, 0:24:30]: uh for inclusion into um the main street program. [0:24:32, 0:24:32]: Okay. [0:24:32, 0:24:35]: Thank you, sir. Mr. Hopkins? [0:24:35, 0:24:37]: Madam Chair, I second that motion. [0:24:38, 0:24:40]: Thank you. Any discussion? [0:24:42, 0:24:42]: From the board. [0:24:45, 0:25:02]: And uh just for point of clarification, Mr. Thomas, um, are we asking for this to be for all three of the open positions for the arts, landscape or design? Um, well two actually, um for the arts and landscape and design positions? [0:25:03, 0:25:04]: Uh I would say yes. [0:25:06, 0:25:06]: Okay. [0:25:07, 0:25:14]: Well arts and landscape is already um within Henry County. Stockbridge, but within Henry County. [0:25:14, 0:25:16]: And then um the [0:25:16, 0:25:18]: Business outside of the [0:25:19, 0:25:26]: City um limits. Is that what you're adding to that? You're adding the city one uh I mean the business position to. [0:25:28, 0:25:41]: So we're asking to add the third, which is a business owner outside of the Main Street district to extend for the entire county of Henry, opposed to just the city of Stockbridge. Is that correct? [0:25:44, 0:25:51]: I I I have I have a question in reference to that i i before we go forward. Yes. That's outside the city, correct? [0:25:52, 0:26:02]: Correct. So that's what we're trying to confirm. Are we living outside the city? Or are we extending just beyond the city? Are we now extending to the entire county for the third position? [0:26:02, 0:26:11]: Because um Miss Braggs just stated that the arts and landscape and design positions are already the entire county. Is that correct? [0:26:12, 0:26:17]: That is correct. Now the business owner outside of the um city limits [0:26:17, 0:26:23]: has not been I mean the business owner position has not been um difficult to feel. [0:26:23, 0:26:25]: Um being with it [0:26:25, 0:26:30]: Because we have so many businesses that are within the city limits. So that one is not so narrow. [0:26:31, 0:26:34]: So that one doesn't necessarily need to be changed. [0:26:34, 0:26:36]: It is just the [0:26:36, 0:26:40]: Two very narrow um positions. [0:26:40, 0:26:50]: um that need that extra that um I guess additional allowance and that would be the landscape which already the architect which already has that. [0:26:51, 0:26:52]: Um expansión [0:26:53, 0:26:57]: The only one that I feel needs to have that additional expansion. [0:26:57, 0:27:02]: would be the arts organization and that is because it is so narrow. [0:27:02, 0:27:03]: The business of [0:27:03, 0:27:08]: owner um outside of the Main Street district. That one is not [0:27:08, 0:27:11]: so much of a challenge because that one is more broad. [0:27:11, 0:27:20]: So it's only for the arts representative that we're asking that the bylaws be amended to extend to in to the entire county of Henry. [0:27:20, 0:27:29]: Yes, that would be um my recommendation with the you know, preference with a s stock bridge within here unincorporated stock bridge. [0:27:29, 0:27:30]: Um [0:27:31, 0:27:33]: So that would mean Henry County. [0:27:33, 0:27:41]: Okay, so we yield back to you, um, Mr. Thomas, to see if you would like to um amend your motion. [0:27:42, 0:27:44]: Yes, for for clarification. [0:27:44, 0:27:48]: Um I will restate the motion and [0:27:48, 0:27:51]: Uh I move that we [0:27:53, 0:27:54]: uh legislate [0:27:55, 0:27:57]: The bylaws [0:27:57, 0:28:12]: to allow the Main Street program to extend membership to uh an arts organization outside of the the city limits. And if if I may just for clarity, um [0:28:13, 0:28:14]: Uh [0:28:14, 0:28:15]: The [0:28:15, 0:28:16]: Business. [0:28:17, 0:28:28]: that's inside the city is is not in involved in that. And I think Mrs. Bragg clarified about the landscape and so yes, only for the arts organization. [0:28:29, 0:28:31]: Thank you, sir. Do we have a second? [0:28:33, 0:28:34]: And yeah. [0:28:35, 0:28:36]: Second of Movie Manager. [0:28:37, 0:28:41]: Thank you. There is a uh a point of yes, Mr. Horton. [0:28:41, 0:28:45]: May I may I also ask that we clarify the uh [0:28:45, 0:28:50]: The motion to state that the position is restricted to be within Henry County. [0:28:51, 0:28:52]: It's outside the city limits, but [0:28:53, 0:28:54]: has to be inside Henry County. [0:28:56, 0:28:57]: Yes, sir. [0:28:57, 0:29:04]: And I will I will amend to clarify, um, outside of the city but within Henry County. [0:29:05, 0:29:05]: Thank you. [0:29:08, 0:29:08]: Okay. [0:29:10, 0:29:11]: Any additional discussion? [0:29:13, 0:29:25]: Okay, great. We will uh move on to voting. So if all can be um unmuted if avail if able. Um if not, you can please use the chat function to um [0:29:25, 0:29:27]: Submit your vote. [0:29:27, 0:29:29]: Mr. Firch? [0:29:31, 0:29:32]: Yes. [0:29:32, 0:29:33]: Thank you, sir. [0:29:33, 0:29:35]: Mr. Hopkins? [0:29:35, 0:29:35]: Yes. [0:29:36, 0:29:38]: Thank you, sir. Mr. Horton. [0:29:38, 0:29:40]: Yes. Thank you, sir. [0:29:40, 0:29:43]: I also agree, yes, Miss Reed. [0:29:43, 0:29:52]: Yes. Thank you, ma'am. Miss Richardson? Yes. Thank you, ma'am. Miss Sanders? Yes. Thank you, ma'am. And Mr. Thomas. [0:29:53, 0:29:56]: Yes. Thank you. The motion has carried. Thank you all. [0:29:57, 0:29:59]: Miss Braggs, we um return back to you. [0:30:00, 0:30:03]: Okay, so um with that being said [0:30:03, 0:30:05]: Again, please um [0:30:06, 0:30:09]: explore your networks and um [0:30:10, 0:30:16]: Think about some organizations, arts organizations that um may have someone who would fit. [0:30:17, 0:30:20]: With our um Main Street mission and that [0:30:20, 0:30:26]: you know, again goes the same for the other two positions that are available as well. [0:30:27, 0:30:30]: Okay, as far as new business is a concern. [0:30:30, 0:30:33]: It's interesting that it's the new year. Oh [0:30:33, 0:30:35]: Anika, Mr Yeah, Mr. Thomas. [0:30:36, 0:30:40]: Uh for clarification, um, Mrs. Braggs. [0:30:40, 0:30:41]: Um [0:30:41, 0:30:44]: Would you need to bring this [0:30:45, 0:30:46]: Uh new level [0:30:48, 0:30:54]: Uh oh, he froze. Legislation back to the city council number. I'm sorry, you froze a little bit. What did you say? [0:30:56, 0:30:57]: Um [0:30:58, 0:31:00]: Would you come before the council? [0:31:01, 0:31:17]: to um bring forward this legislation to extend those boundaries, number one. And number two, uh, would you extend the uh invitation back to uh the Eagles Land and Dance Center, uh, Mrs. Gibson. [0:31:18, 0:31:33]: Um yes, sir. I will be bringing this before council. I'll try to have it on the next agenda um for final approval by the city council. And then I will have to um I guess recontact um [0:31:33, 0:31:38]: the uh representative from um the candidate that submitted their paperwork before. [0:31:39, 0:31:41]: and have them reapply. [0:31:41, 0:31:44]: Um under the n once the um if the new [0:31:45, 0:31:47]: Um expansion is approved by Mayor and Council. [0:31:49, 0:31:50]: Also now [0:31:51, 0:31:53]: The meeting on the eleventh [0:31:53, 0:31:57]: It's more of an organizational meeting [0:31:57, 0:31:58]: Um [0:32:00, 0:32:05]: I I probably could amend the agenda to add this. It seemed to be a real [0:32:06, 0:32:08]: short um [0:32:09, 0:32:16]: discussion uh I believe from the council, but it's the desire of the board, if they would like for me to amend the January eleventh. [0:32:17, 0:32:19]: uh agenda to uh include this item. [0:32:20, 0:32:22]: Or would you rather to um [0:32:23, 0:32:26]: carried to the uh work session at the latter part of January. [0:32:28, 0:32:37]: Mr. Thomas, if it's at all possible, we would love for it to be um added to your next possible meeting so that we can open up our um [0:32:37, 0:32:38]: Cool. [0:32:38, 0:32:46]: And hopefully be able to fill these positions as quickly as possible so we can get continue to get our business done. That would be my thought. Anyone else? [0:32:50, 0:32:51]: Um [0:32:53, 0:33:02]: That would be um my request if that is at all possible. I don't know if um what needs to be coordinated with um the city clerk. [0:33:02, 0:33:06]: Or would you do this in the actual meeting as for the amendment? [0:33:07, 0:33:19]: Yeah, I will have to do it. I'll have to do it at the actual meeting. Uh the fact that the um this agenda has been posted already. I will confer with uh a couple of council members and if I have the [0:33:19, 0:33:33]: approval uh to amend the agenda then we'll go forward and I'll communicate that with you but that's all it would take would be um three council members to approve the uh amendment to the agenda and we can go forward. [0:33:33, 0:33:34]: Okay. [0:33:34, 0:33:43]: Um and if it is not um an option, I'm fine with going with the next regularly scheduled meeting. [0:33:43, 0:33:49]: Um because you know, we can get that particular item approved. [0:33:49, 0:33:53]: um before our next meeting. So w whatever is um [0:33:53, 0:33:57]: most workable for you, Mayor Pro Tem, just let me know. [0:33:57, 0:33:59]: Sure will. Thank you. [0:33:59, 0:34:00]: Thank you, sir. [0:34:03, 0:34:15]: Okay, as far as um new business is concerned, um we're at the new year but don't really have um a lot of new business to handle. Um so I'll just move to the updates um [0:34:15, 0:34:16]: Section. [0:34:16, 0:34:21]: of our agenda. Um we have received an update from [0:34:21, 0:34:23]: The city manager with regard to [0:34:24, 0:34:25]: The um [0:34:25, 0:34:32]: amphitheater. So I wanted to um share that with you all. I'm gonna try to share my screen so I can pull [0:34:33, 0:34:36]: um that particular report up. So just give me a moment. [0:34:39, 0:34:48]: While Miss Briars is doing that, just want uh you all to know the record has been re uh amended to reflect that Mr. Willie Hopkins is present. [0:34:49, 0:34:57]: Uh madam chair, I appreciate that. I apologize. I had to take a call from one of my judges. That's the reason why I wasn't present. So I apologize for that. [0:34:57, 0:34:59]: Absolutely not a problem. Thank you. [0:35:03, 0:35:08]: Okay, hold on just a second. It's not doing what I want it to do here. [0:35:17, 0:35:18]: Okay, let's see. [0:35:19, 0:35:22]: Are you all able to see an amphitheater update photo? [0:35:22, 0:35:25]: Yes. Okay, fabulous. [0:35:25, 0:35:28]: Okay, um this is [0:35:29, 0:35:36]: Um an aerial photo of the um amphitheater that was provided to me. [0:35:36, 0:35:38]: by um the um [0:35:39, 0:35:53]: City Manager Mr. Randy Knighton, as you can see, they have um made um quite a few um advances. They have um almost completed the stage. They're um the seating has been [0:35:53, 0:35:54]: Add it to [0:35:55, 0:35:56]: The um [0:35:57, 0:35:57]: site [0:35:58, 0:36:01]: I'm gonna see if I can um move it down a little bit. [0:36:01, 0:36:06]: Um they're moving on schedule and they are set to be completed in May. [0:36:07, 0:36:15]: Um, we expect that the bidding on the improvements to East Atlanta Road and Lee Street um should be um [0:36:16, 0:36:23]: put out within the next 30 days. And so they're moving right along with that. And if you will recall, [0:36:23, 0:36:33]: The um improvements on East Atlanta Road are RSVP recommended improvements. That is adding the um right turn lane. [0:36:34, 0:36:35]: to um [0:36:35, 0:36:36]: They [0:36:36, 0:36:41]: East Atlanta Road and North Henry Boulevard um intersection. [0:36:42, 0:36:49]: That way there'll be two turn lanes on one to go right and then one to go left and then the lane to go straight. [0:36:49, 0:36:49]: Um [0:36:50, 0:36:51]: Is what was [0:36:51, 0:36:51]: Um [0:36:51, 0:36:53]: Recommended in the RSVP. [0:36:54, 0:36:57]: And that is what I think that they are moving forward with and um [0:36:59, 0:37:01]: Mayor Pro Temp Thomas, can you confirm that? [0:37:05, 0:37:07]: Yes, that that is correct. [0:37:07, 0:37:08]: Okay. [0:37:09, 0:37:09]: Um [0:37:10, 0:37:17]: And then here is another um photo that was provided to me where they have actually installed the seating. [0:37:17, 0:37:19]: For the amphitheater. [0:37:19, 0:37:26]: So um as you can see, all of this is um kind of wood grain. Um it's a very beautiful stage and [0:37:26, 0:37:31]: Then they've um in started installing the seating and they have the [0:37:31, 0:37:35]: Um shelters that are here in the upper level. [0:37:35, 0:37:42]: Um so it's moving right along and it it's amazing to go out to the city hall, um [0:37:42, 0:37:47]: parking lot, the rear parking lot, and see this literally coming up out of the ground. [0:37:47, 0:37:48]: Um [0:37:48, 0:37:56]: Mayor Pro Temp Thomas, you have been actively involved in the discussions regarding this particular project. Is there anything that you wanted to add? [0:37:57, 0:38:02]: Uh yes, I'd like to just inform the board that um I have [0:38:03, 0:38:06]: um add it and legislated um [0:38:07, 0:38:09]: A Uber Lyft [0:38:10, 0:38:11]: uh component [0:38:12, 0:38:25]: uh to the campus uh that would allow you know for that transportation mode uh to be added to the landscape. So and of course, you know, we understand that [0:38:25, 0:38:30]: uh if if a participant to the concert do not want to [0:38:31, 0:38:35]: drive themselves because we do realize that it's gonna be a lot of traffic. [0:38:35, 0:38:37]: Park and his premium [0:38:37, 0:38:43]: And so and we all understand that that's a means of transportation that we're all accustomed to. So [0:38:43, 0:39:03]: Um the city manager is going to add that to the task order to Falcon Design to make sure that that is uh located uh within the landscape of the amphitheater to um you know to include that opportunity for those that uh [0:39:03, 0:39:06]: wish not to drive but will be able to um [0:39:07, 0:39:12]: come in or, you know, come or leave, you know, by those um transportation means. [0:39:14, 0:39:20]: Um, I think that that's gonna be a really worthwhile addition because I think that um [0:39:21, 0:39:28]: In light of um some of the concerns that um Main Street has had with regard to parking. [0:39:28, 0:39:33]: The addition of a designated Uber lift ride share area. [0:39:34, 0:39:37]: is going to um help mitigate [0:39:37, 0:39:44]: um some of that um parking concern. So um thank you for proposing that and [0:39:44, 0:39:47]: Um, making that um something that [0:39:47, 0:39:53]: the mayor and council paid attention to because I don't think that that's something that was necessarily comp contemplated. [0:39:54, 0:40:00]: um in the original design and um that I think is gonna be a very welcomed addition. [0:40:01, 0:40:02]: to the overall um [0:40:03, 0:40:06]: project. So thank you for doing that. [0:40:06, 0:40:08]: And if I and if I may add [0:40:10, 0:40:13]: Yeah. And if I may add [0:40:13, 0:40:19]: Uh, even though uh the downtown development may be long range. [0:40:19, 0:40:35]: But just imagine um if you had restaurants and other type of uh businesses uh on Burke Street or uh ML King. So, you know, we we're talking about more of a a walking campus per se. So [0:40:36, 0:40:42]: After the amphitheater show, someone may just want to [0:40:42, 0:41:02]: walk over and and partake in in a restaurant or in other form of entertainment. So that whole ability to be able to get in and out of downtown, I I think that is a very key as you sort of alluded to, Mrs. Brax. I just want to share that uh because this is what we're, you know, looking for is a walkable [0:41:02, 0:41:06]: uh entertainment um you know downtown. [0:41:06, 0:41:07]: Right. [0:41:09, 0:41:11]: Mr. Hopkins, did you still have a comment? [0:41:11, 0:41:18]: I do. Uh Kira, can you can you share your screen back to the first photo? I just have a question, just clarity. [0:41:19, 0:41:21]: Hold on just a second. [0:41:30, 0:41:31]: Okay. Yes. [0:41:31, 0:41:40]: The area just wanna make sure I'm I'm just clear on how the layout is gonna be from where the retention pond is. I I I wanna say a real retention here. [0:41:41, 0:41:48]: Would that be just is that just gonna be parking or just gonna be drive-through? Or what is that gonna be in that section? I just wanna make sure I'm clear on that. [0:41:49, 0:41:56]: Um, I think that that is going to be um more of a um kind of trail and natural [0:41:56, 0:42:16]: landscaped area. But Mayor Pro Tem, if you could um speak to that again, you have been more involved with those discussions on a regular basis and might be able to explain that area further. But I'm thinking that this is the area that I show [0:42:16, 0:42:20]: [2541.0, 2545.9]: Um that there would be a walking trail, water feature, and some other um [0:42:26, 0:42:30]: like landscape terraced and that sort of thing. But um Mayor Pro Tem, if you would. [0:42:31, 0:42:33]: That that is correct. Um [0:42:34, 0:42:37]: Right now it's a design for three ponds. [0:42:37, 0:42:40]: Uh and I guess if you were standing in the [0:42:41, 0:42:47]: old parking lot, it will and looking down it would so somewhat be to your [0:42:47, 0:42:49]: Left um [0:42:50, 0:42:58]: But that that is correct. So those things that you just described, Mrs. Braggs, uh, those are features that will be uh included in this. [0:42:59, 0:43:02]: Um, I did receive a um [0:43:03, 0:43:06]: Note from Mr. Knighton [0:43:06, 0:43:08]: Who is um [0:43:08, 0:43:11]: I guess observing the meeting, um [0:43:12, 0:43:18]: remotely as well. He says that um there's going to be mostly parking in that area as well. [0:43:19, 0:43:19]: Okay. [0:43:20, 0:43:20]: Yes. [0:43:21, 0:43:27]: That is where uh the parking is scheduled on that on the on the back end somewhat of the of the amphitheater. [0:43:28, 0:43:30]: On the um Lee Street. [0:43:32, 0:43:33]: Okay. [0:43:34, 0:43:35]: Wait, let me go back to [0:43:40, 0:43:40]: Mm-hmm. [0:43:40, 0:43:41]: Yeah. [0:43:41, 0:43:42]: Okay. [0:43:51, 0:43:54]: Okay. Were there any other questions with regard to that? [0:43:57, 0:43:58]: Mm-hmm. [0:43:58, 0:44:18]: Can I just make a comment? Thank you, Mr. Thomas, for ensuring that this part of the population that is definitely now thinking is was incorporated. I'm excited to hear that there would be a designated area because most concert goers are going to be utilizing those features. [0:44:18, 0:44:26]: And like you said, to make it walkable and to go from a restaurant and if they're unable to drive, know that they can still get home. So [0:44:26, 0:44:28]: Excellent. Thank you. [0:44:28, 0:44:29]: Yes, thank you. [0:44:32, 0:44:32]: Okay. [0:44:33, 0:44:34]: Um [0:44:34, 0:44:39]: If there are no other questions with regard to that, um I'll move on to our um [0:44:40, 0:45:00]: Alleyway project or downtown projects, the Alleyway Project, 114 MLK and the Ted Strickland Building. Um when I left you all at the last meeting, I had um told you all that we had um met with the designers um with regard to 114 and um [0:45:00, 0:45:00]: Um [0:45:00, 0:45:02]: The Ted Strickland building. [0:45:02, 0:45:03]: Um [0:45:04, 0:45:12]: Because of the holiday and that sort of thing, we haven't had um much more progress on those two particular projects other than the um [0:45:12, 0:45:23]: prices um we're getting numbers on uh what that construction cost is going to be so that that can be um submitted to the city manager and um [0:45:24, 0:45:33]: um the proper approvals can be obtained with regard to those two projects so that we can move those forward and I will let you know as soon as uh we have [0:45:34, 0:45:36]: received approvals for the pricing on that. [0:45:37, 0:45:37]: Um [0:45:38, 0:45:46]: Um some budgets have been established um by mayor and council and by the city manager with regard to those two projects individually. [0:45:46, 0:45:52]: So um we'll try to make sure that um the number we're tr we are trying to make sure. [0:45:52, 0:45:55]: that the numbers fall within those um [0:45:55, 0:45:59]: those parameters and um kind of going back and forth with [0:45:59, 0:46:00]: They um [0:46:01, 0:46:04]: with regard to the Ted Strickland going back and forth a little bit with [0:46:05, 0:46:06]: Our um [0:46:06, 0:46:10]: space designer to try to make sure that we're staying within that budget. [0:46:11, 0:46:17]: And then also um with one fourteen MLK, that particular item is going to have to go out to bid. [0:46:17, 0:46:20]: We have found um as I shared with you. [0:46:20, 0:46:21]: Um [0:46:21, 0:46:24]: A meeting ago at our last meeting, we have found [0:46:25, 0:46:30]: Um several companies, um general contracting companies that will be able to [0:46:30, 0:46:31]: Do this work. [0:46:32, 0:46:34]: And as I showed you in one of our um [0:46:35, 0:46:36]: Updates. [0:46:36, 0:46:42]: The the real problem issue is the roof and the roof is going to be very expensive to [0:46:42, 0:46:46]: Replace, repair, well, actually repair and then replace. [0:46:46, 0:46:50]: So we're kind of going back and forth trying to make sure that [0:46:51, 0:46:53]: А ви мост. [0:46:54, 0:46:56]: А кес кост ефективно присінь. [0:46:56, 0:47:01]: for that particular part of the project and then um move on to the interiors. [0:47:02, 0:47:13]: The alleyway project is still in the engineering phase. Um, as I told you at our last meeting, they had just started that engineering phase, which it from what I've been told. [0:47:13, 0:47:15]: Із амтел фаз. [0:47:16, 0:47:20]: And um I have not received an update with regard to where we stand. [0:47:21, 0:47:27]: on that particular project other than it's in the engineering phase. So I'm hoping to with the new year. [0:47:27, 0:47:38]: and all the vacations and everything being completed over the holidays, I should be able to get um some more updated information on that and be able to share that with you at our next meeting. [0:47:38, 0:47:41]: Um with regard to our downtown mural. [0:47:42, 0:47:46]: I have a meeting with our artist John Christian today at two o'clock. So [0:47:47, 0:47:47]: Um [0:47:47, 0:47:49]: І газ um [0:47:49, 0:47:56]: Hopefully been working on the some design concepts that I'll be able to share with you all. He's gonna give me an update. [0:47:56, 0:48:03]: Um, as we have discussed in prior meetings, um due to COVID, his schedule has been backed up. [0:48:03, 0:48:04]: Um [0:48:04, 0:48:15]: with some other projects that were um in the um queue before us. So we're just he's just starting to normalize his particular schedule and [0:48:15, 0:48:22]: We're looking forward to having this mural installed as soon as possible. So I'll give you more update after I've spoken with him. [0:48:23, 0:48:24]: This afternoon [0:48:24, 0:48:36]: And then also you all may be um interested in what's going on with the um Department of Natural Resources grants that we recently applied for with regard to [0:48:37, 0:48:46]: Um the trail system, um, improving the trail system that leads from the Reeves Creek Trailhead into the downtown area. [0:48:46, 0:48:49]: А в кріатина тру гейтвей, вакін гейтвей. [0:48:49, 0:48:52]: From Rock Quarry Road into the downtown area. [0:48:53, 0:48:57]: Um both of those grants we should be hearing whether we have made um [0:48:57, 0:49:08]: the um cut to move forward with um submitting a more detailed grant. The if you will recall when I discussed these grants, I think it was in October. [0:49:08, 0:49:22]: there is a process where you submit kind of a pre-application to see if your project is um one that will be considered to move forward. So it's almost like a finalist and semifinalist type situation. [0:49:22, 0:49:23]: So um [0:49:24, 0:49:30]: This is the month that they have said that we would be hearing back. I think the date is January fifteenth or something like that. [0:49:31, 0:49:35]: They're supposed to be notif by January fifteenth, they're supposed to be notifying [0:49:35, 0:49:42]: all of the um candidates that are going to be invited to move forward. So keep your fingers crossed. [0:49:43, 0:49:48]: Um that we will be one of the um cities that has been selected to move forward. [0:49:48, 0:49:55]: uh with that particular grant process because that is over three million dollars in grant funds that we are trying to obtain. [0:49:55, 0:49:58]: Um for improvement of our trail system. So [0:49:58, 0:50:00]: Let's keep our fingers crossed on that one. [0:50:01, 0:50:01]: Um [0:50:03, 0:50:20]: And then also I just wanted to um make mention of um the its accreditation time for all main streets across the state of Georgia. So that is what I am diligently working on, making sure that all of our reports and um [0:50:20, 0:50:28]: the um information that I'm supposed to submit to the state to the State Department of Community Affairs is um [0:50:28, 0:50:32]: all in um accordance with their guidelines. So that's what I'm [0:50:33, 0:50:37]: working on now and is occupying the most of my time and [0:50:37, 0:50:44]: You know, since our um establishment we have made um top scores on that. So again [0:50:44, 0:50:48]: Let's keep our fingers crossed and um hope that we again. [0:50:48, 0:50:54]: um our approved for accreditation get a high score on what we have submitted. I'm a little nervous because our programming [0:50:55, 0:50:58]: hasn't been what it has been in the past, but I think that [0:50:59, 0:51:00]: The state um [0:51:01, 0:51:03]: Um office will be [0:51:03, 0:51:05]: Giving some people some grace. [0:51:05, 0:51:13]: with regard to um meeting all of the guidelines that have been put in place because of the COVID situation and the restrictions. [0:51:13, 0:51:20]: that have been placed upon all programs with regard to how they can um deliver programming and require programming. [0:51:20, 0:51:23]: to um their constituents so [0:51:24, 0:51:26]: Um, just keep your fingers crossed on that. [0:51:26, 0:51:30]: And that's all that I had with regard to um updates. [0:51:31, 0:51:37]: Um so I can hand it back over to you, um, Miss Potts, if there are no questions for me. [0:51:39, 0:51:42]: Are there any questions for our program director? [0:51:48, 0:51:58]: Right. Um thank you so much, Miss Brax, for your information. Uh at this time, um, is there a DDA report? [0:52:02, 0:52:03]: Well, um [0:52:04, 0:52:05]: Yes. [0:52:06, 0:52:14]: Um we uh have a new chairman. Our chairman Renee resigned, and so we have a new chairman now and um [0:52:15, 0:52:17]: Very excited about that. Um [0:52:19, 0:52:20]: Who is it? [0:52:21, 0:52:24]: L I am literally drawing a blank. I have a playing part. [0:52:24, 0:52:26]: It's Greg's partner. Greg. [0:52:26, 0:52:28]: I'm sorry, I'm so embarrassed. I don't [0:52:29, 0:52:38]: It's not me, it's Roger. Yes, I said it's your partner. I was like, wait a minute, I have like literally drawn a blank'cause about two thoughts ahead of myself. Yes, it's Roger. Oh my gosh. [0:52:39, 0:52:43]: So Roger Custon. Roger Custon, yes. Oh Jesus. Yes. He [0:52:44, 0:52:46]: He's our new chairman and um [0:52:47, 0:52:54]: So we're excited about that. Congratulations to him. Yeah. And we had an opening on the board, uh [0:52:55, 0:52:57]: I haven't heard a we field it yet. I uh [0:52:57, 0:53:07]: You all did um there's a um you all did fill that position at the last um city council meeting. Um the person is um [0:53:07, 0:53:09]: Shamiqua King [0:53:09, 0:53:11]: Does that sound familiar to you? [0:53:11, 0:53:12]: That is correct. [0:53:13, 0:53:18]: Okay, awesome, awesome, awesome. So we have a new boardman. So now we, you know, have a fully staffed board. [0:53:19, 0:53:21]: Um and she's been sworn in. [0:53:22, 0:53:26]: Nice. I missed that. I think a painting. Okay, anyway, so that's nice. [0:53:27, 0:53:29]: Yeah, I've been on vacation, I'm sorry. [0:53:29, 0:53:40]: Um and then also um we did I believe we're that we're done with that real estate deal. I'm not really sure all the the last administrative [0:53:40, 0:53:42]: parts that has to take place but um [0:53:42, 0:53:45]: As far as I know it is a done deal and just uh [0:53:46, 0:53:47]: technicalities on the back end, but [0:53:50, 0:54:00]: So I think that's it. And our next meeting, we meet on the third Tuesday, 6 PM. Um, I will make sure that everyone has that public link as well. I think that's the 19th. [0:54:00, 0:54:01]: Um [0:54:01, 0:54:04]: So I make sure that public link goes out in case anyone wants to join. [0:54:05, 0:54:07]: It's the eighteenth, I think. [0:54:07, 0:54:08]: Is it eighteen? [0:54:08, 0:54:09]: Yes, I think so. [0:54:11, 0:54:18]: Right. Okay. Whatever that Tuesday is. Oh no, Tuesday's the nineteenth. You're right. I'm sorry. Okay. [0:54:20, 0:54:23]: We're getting back. I'm not officially back to work until Monday, but [0:54:23, 0:54:24]: Yeah. [0:54:24, 0:54:27]: Okay, I understand. [0:54:27, 0:54:33]: I'm a little rusty today. We all understand. Thank you so much for your report. [0:54:34, 0:54:36]: Are there any questions for Miss Richardson? [0:54:39, 0:54:46]: All right. Thank you again. Um hearing now. We will move on. Um I do believe that um [0:54:46, 0:55:06]: uh the next area of our meeting are announcements and concerns. Um I do believe that we have on our line, um I'm sorry, in our meeting, um a Mr. Alan Peterson. Um I would love to just let you guys know that [0:55:06, 0:55:26]: Mr. Peterson is our new economic development director for the city of Stockbridge. That's a position that we've been needing to fill as far as I have been told. We're very excited that he is on uh participating in our meeting today. I'm not sure if he's able to just [0:55:26, 0:55:40]: say hello or tell us a little bit about himself. If not, we totally respect it, but we did want the board to know that that position has been filled. And I'm sure if not today, we'll have an opportunity to meet Mr. Peterson. [0:55:41, 0:55:45]: Um and I apologize. I thought that um [0:55:46, 0:55:52]: Both um Mr Knighton, our city manager, and Mr. Peterson had um received uh um [0:55:53, 0:56:00]: a panelist invitation like you all did so that they would be able to be seen on this particular meeting. [0:56:00, 0:56:01]: But um for [0:56:02, 0:56:06]: Whatever reason it didn't go through. I tried to send it um [0:56:06, 0:56:11]: twice. So I do apologize to you all and apologize to them. [0:56:11, 0:56:16]: as well for not being able to be as actively um presented with this meeting. [0:56:17, 0:56:19]: Um but we will make sure. [0:56:19, 0:56:22]: That Mr. Peterson um and Mr. Knighton [0:56:22, 0:56:26]: Um, if it is their pleasure to be a part of our next meeting. [0:56:26, 0:56:30]: I'll send them those make sure that they get those invitations um [0:56:30, 0:56:35]: And confirm that they have been received and that they are able to log in to our meeting. [0:56:36, 0:56:37]: But I do um [0:56:38, 0:56:42]: Welcome, Mr. Пітерсон. I have had the opportunity to meet with him. [0:56:43, 0:56:44]: And I think that um [0:56:45, 0:56:47]: He is going to definitely be [0:56:47, 0:56:50]: Um o wonderful resource for. [0:56:51, 0:56:51]: The um [0:56:52, 0:57:06]: Stockbridge Main Street program for our advisory board and for the city of Stockbridge as a whole. So I'm very excited for you all to get a chance to meet to meet him face to face. So hopefully we'll be able to do that at our next meeting. [0:57:07, 0:57:07]: Um [0:57:08, 0:57:15]: And if I may, Miss Potts, I'd like to go on and um give an another announcement that I'm very excited about. [0:57:15, 0:57:16]: Um [0:57:16, 0:57:28]: We are going to be celebrating an anniversary with the Main Street program. Um, our program received its accreditation on January twenty-sixth, twenty sixteen. [0:57:28, 0:57:37]: So uh we're going to be um celebrating our five year birthday. We're five years old, kindergartners, yay. [0:57:37, 0:57:40]: So I'm very excited. Um [0:57:41, 0:57:51]: to announce that to everyone and uh remind everyone um where we started and where we've come. It's it's been a wonderful, wonderful [0:57:51, 0:57:56]: journey, it's had its challenges, but I just think all of you [0:57:56, 0:58:02]: Especially those of you who have been here since day one. Um, you have really, really been um [0:58:03, 0:58:16]: true warriors with regard to um helping us to get this program established. And for everyone who has um joined us along the journey, thank you for your dedication and your [0:58:16, 0:58:16]: Um [0:58:17, 0:58:19]: True belief in our mission and [0:58:20, 0:58:26]: making not just the downtown better, but the city of Stockbridge a better place to live, work. [0:58:26, 0:58:27]: And play. [0:58:27, 0:58:34]: So thank you so much. I really appreciate all of you. And um say happy birthday to yourselves. [0:58:34, 0:58:35]: Um [0:58:36, 0:58:52]: Anika mentioned that um both um Shamari Um Firch and Mildred Reed were re reinstated um to the advisory board. I just wanted to again thank them for recommitting themselves to the Main Street Advisory Board. They were sworn in. [0:58:52, 0:58:55]: On um where was it the sixth, Anika? [0:58:56, 0:59:04]: Um yes. So um thank you both for um continuing your service with the Main Street Advisory Board. [0:59:05, 0:59:15]: And um you all may have noted that um Lisa's not here. She had to take a personal day. Um she um her mother had to have some um surgery, so [0:59:15, 0:59:25]: Well, I guess I hope she doesn't mind me saying that. But um I just wanted everyone to have their thoughts and prayers with her. Um, I don't think it was anything serious, but um [0:59:25, 0:59:31]: I'm just thinking about her and I hope you all are will be thinking about her as well and her family. [0:59:31, 0:59:38]: And um that's all that I had as far as announcements. Um I don't know if anyone else has anything that they would like to share. [0:59:40, 0:59:42]: Madam President, may I? [0:59:43, 0:59:44]: Yes, Mr Hopkins. [0:59:44, 0:59:50]: All right. Uh first I'd like to say as the doors continue to open to twenty twenty one for us. [0:59:50, 0:59:53]: I just want to recommit myself to this board. [0:59:54, 0:59:56]: And recommit myself to the council. [0:59:56, 1:00:02]: And to the city, the visionaries of this city to let you guys know that there's anything that I can do. [1:00:02, 1:00:16]: Um please don't hesitate, reach out to me. And I look forward to a prosperous year for us this year. Hard work. We got loads to lift, and I know we can do it. And I want to thank Councilman Thomas for his endeavors in 20 [1:00:16, 1:00:17]: What is it [1:00:17, 1:00:19]: As he impart us with the wisdom. [1:00:20, 1:00:23]: Uh, through the council, being net liaison through the council, I thank him. [1:00:24, 1:00:30]: For guiding us, leading us, and uh continue to put us on the right tracks to continue to do the things that we need to do. [1:00:30, 1:00:38]: To support the city, support the council, the city manager, and all the powers to be in this city. And Kira and Lisa, I just wanna say to you guys. [1:00:39, 1:00:40]: Uh outstanding leadership. [1:00:41, 1:00:44]: The city's blessed to have two individuals such as you guys on board. [1:00:44, 1:00:51]: And uh if there's anything we can do to support you in our endeavors, I'm sure I echo this to the board and we're here for you. [1:00:51, 1:00:52]: And we're gonna make [1:00:52, 1:00:56]: the city of Stockbridge, the best on this side of heaven. So thank you again. [1:00:56, 1:00:58]: Thank you. Thank you so much.
