[0:11:54, 0:11:55]: Um [0:11:55, 0:12:01]: I think I mentioned this before, but I just wanted to make sure that I noted this again that [0:12:01, 0:12:04]: 'cause the amount keeps getting higher and higher. [0:12:04, 0:12:07]: Um from our last financial statements. [0:12:07, 0:12:10]: That when the budget was created. [0:12:10, 0:12:14]: This particular um expense was not. [0:12:14, 0:12:20]: known or at least not um calculated properly for the Main Street program. And I think that this is the situation with [0:12:52, 0:12:57]: All of our departments that use the um particular copiers here in [0:12:57, 0:12:58]: First floor. [0:12:59, 0:13:00]: In City Hall, so [0:13:01, 0:13:01]: Um [0:13:01, 0:13:04]: I didn't want anybody to think that Lisa and I are. [0:13:05, 0:13:06]: Printing books over here. [0:13:07, 0:13:10]: As far as the copies are concerned, that is just something that [0:13:11, 0:13:13]: In our next budget, and we just had a budget meeting. [0:13:14, 0:13:15]: Um [0:13:15, 0:13:16]: Єстей [0:13:17, 0:13:18]: Uh we have [0:13:18, 0:13:20]: contemplated or at least programmed. [0:13:21, 0:13:25]: about twelve hundred dollars there. So I think that that will cover us next year. [0:13:25, 0:13:29]: And we won't have this same um deficit reflected on our financial statement. [0:13:33, 0:13:41]: Thank you so much. Was there additional um conversation or discussion? [0:13:44, 0:13:52]: Okay, no. Hearing none, can we please have a motion to accept the agenda? I'm sorry, accept the financial statement for November 2021 as presented. [0:13:57, 0:14:00]: Uh madam chair, I've [0:14:01, 0:14:04]: I motion that we accept the um financial statement. [0:14:04, 0:14:08]: With the with the correction, with the comment from Ms. Braggs. [0:14:09, 0:14:11]: Okay. Thank you for that. [0:14:12, 0:14:15]: Extremely fine. Let's read we have a second. [0:14:41, 0:14:43]: Thank you, sir. Mr. Hopkins. [0:14:45, 0:14:48]: Hold on one second. Yes. [0:14:49, 0:14:51]: Oh thank you, sir. Mr. Horton. [0:14:52, 0:14:52]: Yes. [0:19:01, 0:19:02]: Can you all see it still? [0:19:04, 0:19:05]: Yes. Okay. [0:19:05, 0:19:09]: So those are the dates, and they all fall on the second. [0:19:09, 0:19:15]: Friday of um each month. I think we have avoided all of the um [0:19:15, 0:19:17]: Мейджор холидаї. [0:19:17, 0:19:19]: And um [0:19:19, 0:19:22]: We should be okay with regard to the meeting schedule. [0:19:22, 0:19:24]: So I would um [0:19:24, 0:19:26]: Madam Chair, I would need to um [0:19:27, 0:19:28]: Get this approved. [0:19:29, 0:19:32]: Proposed calendar approved by motion of the board. [0:19:33, 0:19:34]: Yes, yes. [0:19:34, 0:19:42]: Do we have a motion to accept this proposed 2022 meeting schedule for the Main Street Advisory Board as presented? [0:19:43, 0:19:45]: with all noted um [0:19:46, 0:19:56]: us, I guess, information and details as to how they will be stated to the public and how we will um move if there's a need to change. [0:20:19, 0:20:21]: I'll second. [0:20:21, 0:20:24]: I'll second the minutes. I'm sorry. Um [0:20:24, 0:20:27]: a calendar for twenty twenty two. [0:20:27, 0:20:36]: Just second the motion. Okay. Thank you, Ms. Jones. All right. Um, with that in place, we'll move forward without voting. Um, Miss Finley. [0:20:40, 0:20:40]: Yes. [0:20:41, 0:20:43]: Thank you, Mr. Firch. [0:20:44, 0:20:44]: Yes. [0:20:45, 0:20:46]: Thank you, Miss Gibson. [0:20:47, 0:20:48]: Yes. [0:20:48, 0:20:50]: Thank you, Mr. Hopkins. [0:20:51, 0:20:52]: Ah yes, manager. [0:20:52, 0:20:55]: Thank you. Mr. Horton. [0:20:55, 0:20:56]: Yes. [0:20:56, 0:20:57]: Thank you, Miss Jones. [0:20:58, 0:20:58]: Nice. [0:20:59, 0:21:00]: Yes, madam chair. And Councilman Thomas. [0:21:13, 0:21:13]: Yes. [0:21:14, 0:21:20]: Thank you. So moved. Thank you, Miss Braggs, for presenting it to us. And we're looking forward to 2022. [0:21:21, 0:21:22]: Okay. [0:21:24, 0:21:30]: All right, um the next housekeeping item would be the board appointments. [0:21:30, 0:21:33]: We have several folks that um [0:21:33, 0:21:38]: have requested reappointment on the board. We don't have anyone that um [0:21:39, 0:21:43]: expressed an interest in rolling off at this time. So I'm happy about that. [0:21:44, 0:21:49]: And um those board appointments are going to be made at the December thirteenth. [0:21:49, 0:22:06]: meeting of the main um I'm the main street of the city council on December the 13th at 6 p.m. uh yeah sorry I received uh emails from um Vanessa yesterday has been changed to the 21st [0:22:07, 0:22:15]: Oh, has it? Um I thought I had printed it out. Oh yeah. I have I have a copy with me. Uh please advise the [0:22:16, 0:22:20]: Please be advised the Stockwave City Council has moved the board. [0:22:20, 0:22:23]: A committee appointments to December twenty first at six PM. [0:22:23, 0:22:27]: Oh, okay. I didn't realize that. I'm sorry. [0:22:30, 0:22:34]: Did everyone that's up for reappointment receive that communication? [0:22:35, 0:22:39]: It should be Linda, Greg, Shamari, Anika, and Willie. [0:22:40, 0:22:40]: Yes. [0:22:40, 0:22:41]: Uh [0:22:43, 0:22:43]: Okay. [0:22:44, 0:22:47]: So everybody note that the twenty first. [0:22:47, 0:22:51]: So you all will um need to be present at that. [0:22:51, 0:22:53]: Um particular [0:22:53, 0:22:56]: Meeting in case they um [0:22:56, 0:22:58]: Call for any questions or have any [0:22:59, 0:22:59]: Um [0:23:00, 0:23:04]: And it's as you all know, it they usually don't have any questions or anything. So [0:23:04, 0:23:08]: Um, you all need to definitely put that on your schedules to be there though. [0:23:09, 0:23:13]: And any other board members who just want to be there at the meeting and support. [0:23:14, 0:23:16]: That is okay as well. Um [0:23:16, 0:23:17]: Or encouraged. [0:23:18, 0:23:19]: But the way they [0:23:20, 0:23:21]: Do this um [0:23:22, 0:23:25]: Because it is oh wait a minute. [0:23:26, 0:23:30]: I'm sorry, I'm kind of scattered right now. I forgot they have gone back to [0:23:30, 0:23:33]: The physical meetings, so I need to check to see whether or not. [0:23:33, 0:23:35]: The appointments are gonna be made. [0:23:35, 0:23:36]: If they want [0:23:37, 0:23:51]: the candidates to be at the physical meeting or if you are still able to join by Zoom. So I'll get back to those people who are up for reappointment and let you all know, unless it's stated in that letter, because I haven't seen the letter. [0:23:51, 0:23:55]: No, no, it's not stated. It's just one, just the morning. [0:23:55, 0:24:00]: I should send it on the ninth. Please be advised. And that's it. Okay. Madam Chair. [0:24:01, 0:24:03]: Yes, Councilman Thomas. [0:24:03, 0:24:05]: Yes, um [0:24:05, 0:24:09]: The uh agenda low was was quite [0:24:10, 0:24:11]: Uh heavy. [0:24:11, 0:24:13]: With thirty some items. [0:24:13, 0:24:14]: And [0:24:14, 0:24:17]: What the city attempted to do was to [0:24:18, 0:24:30]: uh roll off some of those agenda items to uh December the twenty first. Uh but the December thirteenth and twenty first council meeting. [0:24:31, 0:24:32]: Uh we'll be in person. [0:24:34, 0:24:36]: And I do believe that um [0:24:37, 0:24:41]: Those that those item that agenda item I think [0:24:41, 0:24:42]: Um [0:24:42, 0:24:47]: Those candidates probably will need to be in person. [0:24:47, 0:24:48]: I'm not sure if [0:24:49, 0:24:51]: I don't think there would be [0:24:51, 0:25:01]: uh in the Zoom connection for those in person meeting, even though, you know, it will be Facebook Live, et cetera, et cetera. But I don't know if that will be any um [0:25:02, 0:25:10]: Zoom access. Um, well you can check with uh Madam Clerk, uh Mrs. Holiday to be sure, but I don't I don't think so. [0:25:10, 0:25:11]: Okay. [0:25:11, 0:25:16]: I will do that and get back to everyone. And I apologize that I didn't [0:25:16, 0:25:16]: Um [0:25:17, 0:25:20]: Realised that they had moved those appointments to the [0:25:21, 0:25:22]: Um twenty first. [0:25:23, 0:25:25]: So I'm glad you all got the notice. [0:25:26, 0:25:31]: Um, my next housekeeping item is um I need to get everyone's [0:25:31, 0:25:35]: preferred email address because for some of you I have [0:25:36, 0:25:38]: Um two or three e mails. [0:25:38, 0:25:41]: But I need to make sure that you all [0:25:41, 0:25:43]: Select an email that is [0:25:44, 0:25:51]: one that you check quite frequently. Um the reason that some of you have more than one email. [0:25:51, 0:25:55]: on our email um distribution is because [0:25:55, 0:25:58]: You either requested that it be sent to two [0:25:58, 0:25:59]: Um [0:25:59, 0:26:00]: places or [0:26:01, 0:26:08]: You were not responding to emails from one of the other email addresses that I had. So I added an additional one. [0:26:08, 0:26:11]: to ensure that you are receiving communications. [0:26:12, 0:26:21]: So if you all are have access to a computer at this time, just please shoot me an email with your preferred email. [0:26:21, 0:26:23]: Um address [0:26:23, 0:26:28]: And then also um if you are not at a computer right now, just make a note to yourself. [0:26:28, 0:26:33]: to send that to me as soon as possible because we're trying to kind of clean up and streamline. [0:26:34, 0:26:36]: Our і mail communications. [0:26:36, 0:26:38]: I have inquired with [0:26:39, 0:26:42]: The um IT department to see if we [0:26:43, 0:26:46]: As the Main Street Advisory Board are able to get [0:26:46, 0:26:50]: Stockbridge email addresses. Um I know our DDA has. [0:26:50, 0:26:51]: Stock bridge. [0:26:52, 0:26:52]: Um [0:26:53, 0:26:56]: Stockbridge email addresses so that [0:26:57, 0:27:01]: Um all of their communications can go through that source and that way you're [0:27:01, 0:27:02]: Not having to receive [0:27:03, 0:27:09]: your emails at personal email addresses or work email addresses, what have you. But [0:27:10, 0:27:22]: I have to determine whether or not we're able to get those because I know at one point they were saying that there were not sorry, there were not enough. [0:27:22, 0:27:25]: Um email addresses available with our current [0:27:26, 0:27:30]: Um account. I know that some additional email addresses. [0:27:30, 0:27:32]: Or capacity has been added. [0:27:32, 0:27:37]: For the police department, because they brought the police department on board this year. [0:27:38, 0:27:40]: So I will have to get back to you all on a [0:27:41, 0:27:46]: Um stock bridge specific email for Main Street for us to use for each person. [0:27:46, 0:27:51]: But for the time being, please send me your preferred email address and that is the one that [0:27:52, 0:27:54]: I will use um going forward in January. [0:27:55, 0:27:57]: In addition, I want to try this again. [0:27:58, 0:28:03]: I need to get you all's shirt sizes uh prior to our shop small. [0:28:04, 0:28:05]: Став ам [0:28:05, 0:28:08]: I had requested to get you all's um [0:28:08, 0:28:10]: Shirt sizes. [0:28:10, 0:28:15]: And because we're trying to order polos for the Main Street Advisory Board. [0:28:15, 0:28:21]: Only a few people responded and then I got busy with some other things and did not circle back to you all. [0:28:21, 0:28:27]: So please send me your shirt sizes and we are able to I think I told you before they were gonna be [0:28:28, 0:28:30]: Unisex size, but we are able to get [0:28:30, 0:28:33]: Um male and female sizes so [0:28:34, 0:28:38]: Um, keep that in mind when you send that to me. So in your email. [0:28:38, 0:28:40]: Please be sure to send. [0:28:40, 0:28:43]: your um shirt size and your preferred [0:28:44, 0:28:48]: email address so that we can um get our polos ordered. [0:28:48, 0:28:51]: And we'll have them for next year and that way. [0:28:51, 0:28:54]: We'll look spiffy when we go to our different events and [0:28:54, 0:28:56]: Hat different meetings. [0:28:56, 0:28:58]: will have a um unified look. [0:29:00, 0:29:03]: Okay. Madam Chair. Yes, sir. [0:29:04, 0:29:04]: Um [0:29:05, 0:29:07]: I want to comment on both of those two items, if I may. [0:29:08, 0:29:12]: Sure. Um I just wanted to remind the board members that um [0:29:13, 0:29:21]: That is a uh an an important uh statement about the email address because I want everyone to be aware that um [0:29:21, 0:29:26]: with the city municipality, all of this is open subject to um [0:29:27, 0:29:30]: uh open record and and record requests. [0:29:30, 0:29:35]: And so I think it is important if you really don't want your personal email. [0:29:35, 0:29:46]: to get caught up in in that kind of uh open record or uh open record request, then I I think we probably you need to uh uh you know change that [0:29:46, 0:29:48]: Uh on the polo. [0:29:49, 0:29:50]: Uh [0:29:50, 0:29:52]: I do recall that discussion. [0:29:53, 0:29:56]: Uh personally I I I don't wear [0:29:57, 0:29:57]: Um [0:29:59, 0:30:06]: polos or those kind of so is there any way that um some of us or do we have a discussion about shirts [0:30:07, 0:30:10]: versus in the untooked shirts. [0:30:10, 0:30:12]: versus polos. [0:30:13, 0:30:16]: What type of sh shirt? You mean like a um [0:30:17, 0:30:20]: T shirt, iron shirt or no, no, no, not a t shirt. [0:30:21, 0:30:25]: But just a shirt, but it's not the the tuck in. [0:30:25, 0:30:27]: Kind of shirt it just um [0:30:28, 0:30:30]: A shirt that you wear out. [0:30:31, 0:30:38]: uh with with the cut in the side, which it's not a tuck in kind of a shirt, but it's a it's a button up shirt. [0:30:38, 0:30:40]: Oh, button down, sure. [0:30:40, 0:30:42]: Yeah. Oh, okay. [0:30:43, 0:30:50]: Um no, uh we didn't really have a discussion about it. I was just going to [0:30:50, 0:30:52]: Order polos, but if that is [0:30:53, 0:30:54]: Of концерн. [0:30:54, 0:30:55]: Um [0:30:55, 0:30:57]: To you all as a board. [0:30:57, 0:31:00]: Maybe I can come up with several different [0:31:01, 0:31:02]: Types of shirts. [0:31:03, 0:31:08]: And present them to you all and you all can decide which one you would like to go with. [0:31:08, 0:31:09]: Um [0:31:10, 0:31:13]: I can put that up for discussion. [0:31:13, 0:31:16]: Well, I just think personally a [0:31:16, 0:31:21]: A button down shirt, not the tuck in shirt. Now I think it's it's a better look. [0:31:22, 0:31:26]: than than than polos. I mean polos are okay with with some folks but [0:31:27, 0:31:29]: just personally, um [0:31:29, 0:31:33]: I I think the shirt is is a little bit more um [0:31:35, 0:31:37]: I wanna say more of a formal look. [0:31:38, 0:31:46]: Um, some folks just, you know, polos are just not it's not a good fit for some people. It just it's just my opinion. [0:31:48, 0:31:50]: Well, um [0:31:50, 0:31:53]: The reason I went with polo was because it is [0:31:54, 0:32:01]: usually a more um it does have a a more casual look because we would be wearing them at like for example our movies events. [0:32:02, 0:32:06]: Um, our outdoor meet and greets and things like that. But [0:32:06, 0:32:13]: I am open for any um suggestions if you all are um more interested in some other type of [0:32:13, 0:32:14]: shirt as um [0:32:15, 0:32:16]: Councilman Thomas has um [0:32:17, 0:32:18]: Proffered here. [0:32:19, 0:32:25]: Or I can Lisa and I can kinda go to the catalogs that we have available to us and [0:32:25, 0:32:27]: Um come up with several types of shirts. [0:32:28, 0:32:31]: And um present those to you all and you all as a board. [0:32:32, 0:32:33]: Can decide on [0:32:34, 0:32:34]: What [0:32:35, 0:32:37]: type of shirt you would like to go with. [0:32:40, 0:32:41]: Also no [0:32:42, 0:32:46]: Um long long sleeve versus short sleeve. [0:32:47, 0:32:57]: Yeah, we were going with um just short sleeve polos. Okay. Now Mrs. Bragg, I don't know uh what Mrs. Bragg's and and and uh and and Lisa [0:32:58, 0:33:01]: I I know you all have probably noticed the shirts that that [0:33:01, 0:33:03]: They were around City Hall. [0:33:03, 0:33:06]: And and those are casual shirts. [0:33:06, 0:33:13]: Um out for men and women. Uh it's just a button down shirt. Uh it's not a tuck in. [0:33:13, 0:33:17]: Uh but it's just a a shirt that you it's a casual shirt. [0:33:21, 0:33:25]: Um, I've seen a whole lot of different types of shirts around here. [0:33:26, 0:33:33]: Um, so I'm not exactly sure which one you might be referring to because I've seen them in all [0:33:33, 0:33:35]: Styles, colors. [0:33:35, 0:33:37]: All of it. So [0:33:37, 0:33:38]: Um [0:33:40, 0:33:43]: What is you all's pleasure as a board? [0:33:45, 0:33:46]: Annika. [0:33:47, 0:34:07]: Yeah, um I was thinking that uh comfort is important, that every person is comfortable in what they're wearing, because that kind of uh affects your confidence when you're not feeling like you're dressed well for yourself. So I'm thinking that maybe variety or options might be great, um, where perhaps uniformity will come in the color and where the [0:34:07, 0:34:27]: logo lives um so that we all can uh be comfortable and and and happy in what we're wearing. Sometimes long sleeves will be appropriate, other times short sleeves will. So it could be maybe we have a basic, this is what we're working with. And if you want to upgrade it to this one, maybe, you know, I don't know if we [0:34:27, 0:34:40]: we should come out of pocket for any major change. Um, but I do think that uh the uniformity can come in the color and where the logo lives opposed to the actual shirt, so that all are are happy. That's that's my opinion. [0:34:40, 0:34:41]: Okay. [0:34:42, 0:34:46]: Well, I think that that is a good idea to um maybe have [0:34:46, 0:34:50]: A couple of options that are I guess are uniform and [0:34:50, 0:34:54]: You can wear whichever one you feel most comfortable in. [0:34:54, 0:34:56]: Prayer, I think I saw a question. [0:34:56, 0:35:08]: Yeah. Um am I able to oh maybe I can put it um in the chat. I think I can attach. You can share, I think, if you need to show something. Well I just share my screen. Yeah. [0:35:09, 0:35:15]: Okay, yeah, let me do that. I was just googling some um is this the kind of [0:35:15, 0:35:20]: Like button up like a short sleeve shirt like this, is this what [0:35:22, 0:35:25]: Maybe. I think that that is what um [0:35:26, 0:35:32]: Councilman Thomas and you can um chime in. Councilman Thomas, you were thinking more of a button-down shirt like that. [0:35:32, 0:35:33]: It is. [0:35:33, 0:35:35]: Yeah, I'm I'm looking at it. [0:35:35, 0:35:36]: Yeah. Um [0:35:37, 0:35:40]: The the larger one, the the black one seemed like I can't [0:35:40, 0:35:41]: Okay, hold on. [0:35:42, 0:35:43]: Um [0:35:44, 0:35:58]: I'm sharing my screen so you got to tempt Well this is this is this for a female a similar that one's a female shirt that she was just showing but you're talking about a three right what it is it is a button down shirt similar to that [0:35:58, 0:36:01]: Now I know this one look seemed to be a little long, but um [0:36:02, 0:36:11]: But yeah, it's a shirt similar to that. Uh okay, so similar to that. Okay. So it fits over your pants versus having to tuck it in. That's what you okay. [0:36:11, 0:36:13]: Right, yeah. You do not tuck this one in. [0:36:13, 0:36:14]: Um [0:36:15, 0:36:20]: This one look a seemed to be a little long, but yeah, but that style as far as uh the button down. [0:36:20, 0:36:21]: Okay. [0:36:22, 0:36:22]: Okay. [0:36:23, 0:36:29]: And I think Councilman Thomas's other point was the style of that shirt is cut so there's no tail on it. It doesn't have to be cut. [0:36:29, 0:36:31]: Yeah. That is correct. [0:36:31, 0:36:36]: Doesn't have the round bottom where you have to correct. Yeah, that is correct. [0:36:36, 0:36:37]: Okay. [0:36:38, 0:36:38]: Okay. [0:36:39, 0:36:40]: Uh [0:36:42, 0:36:45]: All right, well, um I think based on um [0:36:46, 0:36:51]: the comments that I've heard so far. Are there any other comments? Um, if not, I guess based on those comments. [0:36:51, 0:36:55]: We will um go to some of our catalogs that um [0:36:55, 0:36:56]: The city orders from [0:36:57, 0:37:02]: And select a couple of shirts for you all to um look at. [0:37:02, 0:37:07]: And we'll get a consensus on maybe a long sleeve and a short sleeve and [0:37:08, 0:37:10]: Go on from there. Does that sound [0:37:11, 0:37:11]: Go. [0:37:13, 0:37:15]: Yes. [0:37:15, 0:37:16]: Okay. [0:37:16, 0:37:17]: Oi. [0:37:17, 0:37:25]: Well, I still will need you all's shirt sizes, so please be sure to send those with your preferred email address. [0:37:26, 0:37:28]: Okay, now I'm gonna move to project [0:37:28, 0:37:29]: Updates. [0:37:29, 0:37:30]: Um [0:37:30, 0:37:33]: And I'm gonna start with our [0:37:33, 0:37:39]: most recent promotion and that's our Small Business Saturday. So I'm going to [0:37:39, 0:37:40]: Um hand that over. [0:37:41, 0:37:42]: To Lisa. [0:37:42, 0:37:47]: Um, but before I do so, I just want to thank everyone who was supportive. [0:37:48, 0:37:49]: Of small business. [0:37:49, 0:37:55]: Excuse me, Small Business Saturday weather you were one of our Small Business Saturday. [0:37:55, 0:37:58]: Енд сма бізнес бліц каптанс. [0:37:58, 0:38:00]: Um Greg Linda. [0:38:01, 0:38:02]: Prayer, Vanessa. [0:38:03, 0:38:06]: Um, thank you so much for. [0:38:06, 0:38:08]: Helping us to get the work. [0:38:09, 0:38:15]: out Linda, did I say Linda to get the word out to everyone and to help us to recruit. [0:38:15, 0:38:17]: The small businesses and [0:38:17, 0:38:18]: For those who shop. [0:38:19, 0:38:23]: Thank you so much for shopping. You sent in your photos and [0:38:23, 0:38:25]: Text messaged me and [0:38:25, 0:38:27]: Let me know that you were out and about. [0:38:27, 0:38:29]: supporting this particular promotion. [0:38:30, 0:38:34]: So now I'm gonna hand it over to Lisa and she's gonna give you all [0:38:34, 0:38:35]: Um her report. [0:38:37, 0:38:39]: Uh good morning again, everyone. [0:38:39, 0:38:46]: Um, I do want to thank you all for participating in this year's um shop small blitz campaign. [0:38:46, 0:38:50]: Um, I think it was pretty successful. Um [0:38:50, 0:38:55]: You know, when you talk about success, there are a lot of different measures, you know. [0:38:55, 0:38:59]: Um how well it went in general and also um [0:39:00, 0:39:08]: What things were our expectations and what we hope we can do better in the future? So, one thing I definitely think is everyone we've talked to. [0:39:09, 0:39:15]: Really prefers having it as a month long blitz, if not seen uh season. [0:39:15, 0:39:16]: And I think [0:39:16, 0:39:20]: It's because it gives people time to create momentum. [0:39:21, 0:39:33]: And um capitalize on the public being aware and having more time to participate as opposed to squeezing it in during the holiday weekend when there's just a lot going on. [0:39:34, 0:39:35]: So um [0:39:35, 0:39:48]: Everyone who shopped, everyone who helped us get the word out and push passports. Also, once again, we had over 30 businesses participate, which is great. [0:39:49, 0:39:52]: I love that because I I just really was not sure. [0:39:53, 0:39:57]: How many participants we would get? I thought we'd have to cull it down to whatever. [0:39:58, 0:40:18]: You know, whoever was available. You know, a lot of businesses um changed their format since the um pandemic, or some of them have just stopped being available to us. But we do we did get more than 30 businesses. And um additionally, some of those were. [0:40:18, 0:40:20]: Бізнес да хартипайте бифо. [0:40:21, 0:40:25]: So and it was a pretty good percentage of those. And I'm really pleased about that. [0:40:26, 0:40:26]: Um [0:40:27, 0:40:29]: We've had a meeting um [0:40:29, 0:40:37]: With some folks who will probably become like a um our shop small committee, and we would like to. [0:40:37, 0:40:43]: Make a few changes so that we have a better opportunity for success next year. [0:40:43, 0:40:50]: Um, in terms of scheduling and getting our getting the word out and so on. So you'll be hearing more about that. [0:40:51, 0:40:51]: Um [0:40:52, 0:40:59]: Kira has asked me to share my screen and show you um one of the videos we [0:41:00, 0:41:02]: Um presented this year. [0:41:03, 0:41:05]: Um so each year [0:41:05, 0:41:14]: For the past few years, we've been doing um, I hope you guys can see that because on my screen it's a little bit small. Gonna see if I can blow it up. [0:41:15, 0:41:23]: Um, we've been choosing something like eight uh businesses. Hang on. So come in anytime. [0:41:24, 0:41:32]: We've been choosing eight businesses for the past three years that we created videos for. And that has been a really good. [0:41:32, 0:41:34]: um strategy. [0:41:34, 0:41:36]: Uh, we get a lot of views. [0:41:37, 0:41:41]: And comments on Facebook from the public, you know, being able to enjoy. [0:41:41, 0:41:44]: Folks they know from around the community in their [0:41:44, 0:41:45]: shops and [0:41:46, 0:41:53]: Um, getting the word out and being participants. So we're going to show you the one from Elf's Cakery, starring. [0:41:53, 0:41:55]: Ms. Prayer Finley. [0:41:57, 0:42:03]: Yeah, we really like this one. Um, I hope oh wait, let me share the sound before I go further. [0:42:03, 0:42:07]: And I hope you'll be able to hear it because sometimes it's not a good transition. [0:42:09, 0:42:11]: I'm gonna turn my sound up pretty high. [0:42:14, 0:42:15]: All right, here we go. [0:42:18, 0:42:38]: I'm Prayer Finley with Elf's Cakery. Small businesses are the heart of our community. Stockbridge needs your support now and throughout this holiday season. Here at Elf Cakery, we offer custom cakes and cupcakes for all occasions. However, you can also come in anytime. You can buy cakes, cupcakes, cake pots. [0:42:38, 0:42:46]: Cookies, we have it all. Please shop small with us through November and throughout the year. We're looking forward to satisfying your sweet tooth. [0:42:46, 0:42:52]: You better shop around. Yeah. [0:42:54, 0:42:57]: Well that turned out much better than I thought it would. [0:42:58, 0:43:00]: We really enjoyed that. [0:43:00, 0:43:04]: Is that your first post to do? You haven't seen it? [0:43:04, 0:43:22]: Oh no, Lisa, didn't you send her a link to it? I I swore I did because the thing was I didn't ask for it. Yeah, it wasn't. Yeah, you did ask for it because you only had a couple more days left and I thought I sent it to you. Oh my I apologize. Okay, we'll use it next year. [0:43:23, 0:43:29]: Yes, yes. We'll keep on using it. Oh my goodness. It came out very well and um [0:43:29, 0:43:34]: Um Barber said that was a great video, everybody. [0:43:35, 0:43:41]: Okay. Um and then Kira wanted me to show you one that we did not produce. [0:43:41, 0:43:45]: But um one of the participating vendors um [0:43:46, 0:43:56]: Their um one of their employees just took it upon herself to make um a video. I'm going to scooch down here on Boba Luba. [0:43:57, 0:44:01]: This young lady named Amelia. Um, I think she did a great job. [0:44:02, 0:44:03]: Here she is. [0:44:03, 0:44:23]: All right, hang on. I'm gonna try to blow and this was totally unsolicited. She did it on her own. I gotta give you a quick note that she still has the music that's piped into the store playing in the background. So the sound is not, you know, high quality. But if you could um try to pay attention to [0:44:23, 0:44:25]: So her it would be worth it. [0:44:27, 0:44:47]: Exciting things that are coming up. So first of all, we have joined with other small businesses in Stockbridge for a small business Blitz passport. So on this passport there are lots of different small businesses and if you shop at four of them and get stamps for four different businesses, you'll be entered. [0:44:47, 0:44:52]: You you're you're not able to hear it. Um, it's because the music on hers is piped in. [0:44:52, 0:44:55]: But if you ever get a chance, I think you'd enjoy it so. [0:44:56, 0:45:00]: Lisa. I mean this this is a pretty young girl, right? And Lisa [0:45:00, 0:45:08]: Lisa, excuse me. Lisa, we can hear it. I could hear we could hear it clearly, but it's and maybe you don't want to play it, but I could hear it very well. [0:45:08, 0:45:15]: Oh, okay we can hear it. Oh but you if you ha if you can on your screens bring your volume up a bit too. So [0:45:16, 0:45:20]: 'Cause it is a lot of interference and I think that she um well background noise and I [0:45:21, 0:45:23]: Финкш овкурші динхав а форма мікрофон. [0:45:24, 0:45:27]: So it's just her little camera or iPhone, so [0:45:27, 0:45:29]: have to listen real closely. [0:45:30, 0:45:34]: So I'm uh we're only 26 seconds in. I'm gonna just play it from here, okay? [0:45:35, 0:45:35]: Okay. [0:45:36, 0:45:50]: Ready to win a$100 gift card. We also have a coupon on here, so if you come in with this or get one from here and get your little stamp, you can buy one regular drink and get the other one for free. So it's an awesome deal. [0:45:52, 0:46:12]: Also, we have a special day with this called Shop Small Business Saturday, which is a Saturday after Thanksgiving. On that day, if you come into any of these cool little shops and make a purchase and then take a picture of yourself with that purchase, you will be entered to win a$200 gift card. [0:46:12, 0:46:32]: Which is great honestly. There's so many cool different shops that will be open on that Saturday or that will be open all throughout November because you have until December 3rd to complete this. There's Bobalubuti, obviously my favorite because I work here. Um there's Party by Design, which is an awesome place to go with your friends where you can paint and you can [0:46:32, 0:46:33]: Can um [0:46:34, 0:46:41]: drink your wine, it's very fun. We also have Barnes and Beautiful, which has the best decor ever for your house. We have [0:46:42, 0:46:47]: some of their shelves up in our shop right now. And let's see, where else? [0:46:48, 0:46:55]: There's just so many awesome stores that you should definitely check this out. Come in, get your passport, and enter to win. [0:46:56, 0:47:15]: And a hundred dollar gift card. Also, this Saturday we are having an awesome, awesome opportunity. My co-worker Sebastian is going to be having a pop-up gallery here. So she goes on to explain that one of their co-workers is doing a pop-up art gallery. I guess that's what he does on the side. [0:47:16, 0:47:20]: And what I just really loved about this is we've tried to encourage [0:47:20, 0:47:23]: Um, hang on, somebody's got something in the chat. [0:47:24, 0:47:25]: Okay. Um [0:47:26, 0:47:29]: So we've tried to encourage um [0:47:30, 0:47:41]: you know, the businesses to take it upon themselves to promote. And this young lady just really went there. And she is she's not the owner. Like she just [0:47:41, 0:47:55]: Took it upon herself to make a very well explained um video. She had all the points down pat and the understanding of how to use the passport and what the program was about. And I was just so [0:47:55, 0:48:00]: Pleased with her. Let me see if I can get to Vanessa's easily. [0:48:00, 0:48:01]: Hang on minute. [0:48:01, 0:48:02]: Hang on, hang on. [0:48:03, 0:48:08]: Normally I um have these on a disc, but I don't today. [0:48:09, 0:48:11]: So we're going from here. Let's try it going this way. [0:48:14, 0:48:14]: Okay. [0:48:17, 0:48:22]: Yeah, past that one. The one with that one wasn't bad. Oh, go past that one. [0:48:23, 0:48:25]: Oh, it's just not showing me my um [0:48:25, 0:48:26]: Wait. [0:48:26, 0:48:32]: And part of the problem is that I've got You may have to use that arrow and scroll through them. See where it says [0:48:33, 0:48:34]: We're um [0:48:35, 0:48:36]: Drip through is the arrow. [0:48:38, 0:48:46]: Did I pass go back down? No, go back down. See drip through's video. See there's an arrow right now. You know what? I can't see it because this thing is here. [0:48:47, 0:48:58]: I gotta move my um my zoom over. Okay. That's yeah. Click on that little arrow. You might be able to get to it that way. All right, here we go. That's so much better. Sorry guys. Greg, Linda. [0:49:00, 0:49:02]: Paint buses. There's Vanessa's right there. [0:49:03, 0:49:03]: Go back. [0:49:07, 0:49:10]: There she is. Yeah. Okay. Another favorite. [0:49:11, 0:49:31]: Hello, my name is Vanessa Gibson and I am the owner and director of Eagles Landing Dance Center right here in Stockbridge, Georgia. We teach dance to little people three ages three to eighteen. That's right, and we teach ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, modern, you name it. [0:49:31, 0:49:51]: Do it, even we have adult Zumba. We are so excited to be located here in Stockbridge, Georgia, and we can't wait for you to come out and support not only our small businesses but the other small businesses and restaurants right here in Stock Bridge. Please go out this month and help support all the small businesses. [0:49:51, 0:49:57]: Right here inside the me. Hey, you better shower up [0:49:58, 0:49:59]: Okay. [0:49:59, 0:50:05]: Hello, my name is Vanessa Gibson and I am the owner and director of Eagles Landing Dick. Here we go. [0:50:07, 0:50:12]: Okay. Okay. Again, another favorite. I loved Vanessa's energy. Um [0:50:13, 0:50:14]: Our um [0:50:15, 0:50:18]: Our participants are not professional. [0:50:18, 0:50:22]: um actors. Take it off share, Lisa. [0:50:22, 0:50:23]: Okay. [0:50:23, 0:50:28]: Yeah, so we can see you mean Carrie, you mean you don't want them to see our video? No, I don't want them to see that. [0:50:29, 0:50:30]: Mm. [0:50:30, 0:50:34]: You can show it. You can show it. [0:50:34, 0:50:35]: Hang on. [0:50:36, 0:50:39]: It's not good. That's the one that I don't like. [0:50:40, 0:50:43]: I thought it was good. Okay, wait, it's gonna be right here. [0:50:44, 0:50:46]: Okay, let me see if I can blow it up. [0:50:49, 0:50:50]: That's better. [0:50:51, 0:50:55]: And I'm Lisa Fareet. I'm the program coordinator for Stockbridge Main Street. [0:50:56, 0:51:16]: And we're inviting you to come and support our local businesses the entire month of November. Come out and shop, dine, and do business with all of our locally owned small businesses. We've come up with the Stockbridge Small Business Blitz and the Small Business Passport. The Passport has over [0:51:16, 0:51:20]: 30 participating locally owned businesses. [0:51:20, 0:51:25]: Customers are asked to go ahead and visit these businesses, shop at four, [0:51:25, 0:51:31]: Get four stamps and you're eligible to participate in a drawing for a$100 cash card. [0:51:32, 0:51:37]: November is the month for our small business blitz here in Stockbridge. [0:51:38, 0:51:39]: One day is not enough. [0:51:40, 0:51:54]: We want to shop and support our local businesses for the entire month of November. So please grab a passport and go shopping, go dining, and support Stockbridge businesses. [0:51:54, 0:51:59]: We need you to shop till you drop and dine non-stop. [0:51:59, 0:52:03]: Alrighty. [0:52:05, 0:52:07]: It's enough showing off. Yeah. [0:52:09, 0:52:19]: Okay. So you know, you all get an idea of uh what we're trying to do. And every year we want to try to add eight more businesses, eight you know, at least eight more businesses to kind of keep it going. [0:52:19, 0:52:25]: And as you could see when Lisa scrolled through, there were some older videos like Linda, um [0:52:26, 0:52:33]: And Greg, they had some videos and some other businesses. And we're making a collection. So we'll have a a nice store of. [0:52:34, 0:52:40]: videos for the businesses that we have and Lisa go on and continue. See I'm on this. [0:52:41, 0:52:42]: What'd you say, Linda? [0:52:43, 0:52:45]: Never mind. Um I [0:52:46, 0:53:06]: Oh, okay. Can I quickly comment really quick? I know um I'm an Instagram person more so than Facebook. And I will tell you, every time I went through my feed and a new video came, I was excited. They were beautiful. They were fantastic and they were very encouraging. So just know that it's it's it [0:53:06, 0:53:09]: reached the people and they were awesome. Thank you for doing that. [0:53:10, 0:53:17]: Thank you. Thanks for that feedback. Because um, even though I try to pay attention to the way it's going through Instagram. [0:53:17, 0:53:22]: I'm not the user. So it's it's different from your perspective and [0:53:23, 0:53:36]: I felt really like it was exciting. I I we used a different videographer this year. We wanted to see if we can get like a slightly different style. And I think he did a really nice job. Um, I think those videos. [0:53:37, 0:53:39]: We're pretty high quality. [0:53:39, 0:53:42]: Um and we're very engaging. [0:53:42, 0:53:56]: So I'm I'm really pleased with that. And of course we're just adding them to the others as Kira described, which means um, you know, we'll have a bigger catalog to run through the entire month instead of just the same eight all, you know, throughout. [0:53:57, 0:54:03]: So um any other feedback from you guys about this year's campaign, we'd be happy to hear it. [0:54:07, 0:54:15]: No? Y'all you love it? I agree that the whole month is fantastic. Um, I was able to go other places after small business, you know. [0:54:16, 0:54:32]: other than that one weekend. So I do agree um with the business owners that having it for the month was was better um because we're all crazy this time of year and to know oh yeah this place I didn't even know this existed always check this out it just gives people an opportunity to [0:54:32, 0:54:39]: really dig in a little bit more. And I think it's growing. It's it's definitely growing and it's nice to see. [0:54:39, 0:54:42]: it from a thought to something that's actually [0:54:42, 0:54:43]: breathing. So [0:54:44, 0:54:48]: Thank you so much, Lisa, and the whole committee for your effort here. [0:54:48, 0:54:51]: And we do have um [0:54:51, 0:54:53]: Two winners for the um [0:54:53, 0:54:55]: Gift certificates. [0:54:55, 0:54:58]: We have a one hundred dollar gift certificate that [0:54:58, 0:55:00]: Is going to be presented to [0:55:00, 0:55:01]: Чімей [0:55:02, 0:55:06]: She is um very active in the community. She owns a state farm agency, but [0:55:07, 0:55:09]: She went shopping and um visited. [0:55:10, 0:55:14]: A lot of small businesses um during that month of November. [0:55:14, 0:55:17]: Oh go on, Lisa. I I want to say about Kim. [0:55:17, 0:55:18]: Um [0:55:18, 0:55:33]: So she's uh uh in a part of Stockbridge that has a plaza and she shopped at the businesses in her plaza. They were not on the passport, but they are Stockbridge businesses, and that was something else we came up with this year. If you [0:55:33, 0:55:39]: Shop at a small business that's like maybe one of your favorites or that you know of and it's not on the passport. [0:55:39, 0:55:41]: There's a blank section where [0:55:41, 0:55:45]: Someone can put stickers for that location. [0:55:45, 0:55:48]: And I I thought that was a great idea. She just [0:55:48, 0:55:55]: introduced us to some places that we just haven't been in communication with for whatever the reason. So I think that's great. [0:55:55, 0:56:00]: And she shopped at some on the that were on the passport too. I I did want to make that. [0:56:00, 0:56:06]: Um clear that she shopped at those along with some passport um places as well. [0:56:06, 0:56:07]: Mm-hmm. [0:56:07, 0:56:08]: Okay. [0:56:08, 0:56:14]: Anything else? Lisa, did you have anything else on that? No, I think that's about it. I'm kind of glad it's over. [0:56:14, 0:56:22]: Oh, the second winner, um, the$200 um yes, I'm sorry. That was um Robert Kolpak. [0:56:22, 0:56:28]: Robert Kolpak, some of you know him from being in the community or on some other committees. [0:56:29, 0:56:44]: He is a staunch supporter of Small Business Saturday. Like from we've known him for a couple of years, and we met him because he was doing the shop small passport and he was a winner a few years back and um. [0:56:45, 0:57:05]: I'm telling you, I don't care what's going on. He is out there shopping on that Saturday. He's taking pictures wherever he's at. He's bringing his kids around and family members. He comes back, he delivers his passport in person. You know, he makes sure that he shows us that he's been to drip through because I guess that's his morning stop. [0:57:05, 0:57:07]: And um [0:57:07, 0:57:23]: I'm just glad to have um folks like Robert be a part of what we're doing. It's it lets us know that people do appreciate the campaign because a lot of work goes into this and we don't always get the feedback to understand how the customer is enjoying it. [0:57:25, 0:57:42]: I I wanna add to what to what Kira said that that uh Robert was taking his kids around and introducing them to the idea of supporting local and sh and small and and it was really nice to see and and uh they visited here. It was a nice pleasant visit and the way he was guiding the kids through. It's really nice. [0:57:44, 0:57:44]: Yeah. [0:57:45, 0:57:46]: Okay. [0:57:46, 0:57:56]: All right. Well I'm gonna speed along. Thank you, Lisa, for your report and thank you everyone for supporting this effort. And it's we're gonna do it even better next year. [0:57:57, 0:58:00]: Um, as far as our construction projects are concerned. [0:58:00, 0:58:02]: The Ted [0:58:02, 0:58:05]: Dricklin is um we are [0:58:05, 0:58:07]: Looking at bitters now. [0:58:07, 0:58:12]: for the work on that particular building. We did have a little bit of a snag in our bid process. [0:58:13, 0:58:17]: Where there was um s a little bit of confusion with regard to [0:58:17, 0:58:21]: some items that people were supposed to include in their bid. [0:58:21, 0:58:25]: So we've contacted all the bidders and kind of corrected that. [0:58:25, 0:58:31]: Confusion. So uh we'll be looking at FET to finalize that before the end of the month as far as which [0:58:32, 0:58:32]: Um [0:58:33, 0:58:35]: construction company will be going with [0:58:35, 0:58:36]: Um for that. [0:58:37, 0:58:40]: One fourteen MLK the White Box Project. [0:58:40, 0:58:47]: That is that contract is currently with the city attorneys and being written. So we're moving pretty fast on that one. [0:58:48, 0:58:50]: And then with the Alleyway project, um [0:58:51, 0:58:58]: The uh Falcon Design did give a report at the last um city council meeting. They're going to be tweaking [0:58:58, 0:59:02]: Um, the design that was presented to the business owners. Um [0:59:03, 0:59:06]: After getting comments from the business owners with regard to [0:59:07, 0:59:08]: Their um [0:59:08, 0:59:09]: I guess. [0:59:09, 0:59:12]: Desires for that particular spot. [0:59:12, 0:59:13]: Um [0:59:13, 0:59:19]: They're going to do a redraw of some of the elements that taking out some elements, adding some elements. [0:59:19, 0:59:25]: To make that more conducive to what the um property owners and business owners. [0:59:25, 0:59:30]: gave us feedback on. So I'll g have some more on that once they have given me. [0:59:30, 0:59:33]: The redraw to give you an update on that. [0:59:34, 0:59:38]: Um then finally I would like to uh well not finally um [0:59:38, 0:59:43]: Finally, on this particular project, our Main Street website is going live. [0:59:44, 0:59:51]: And um you all beta tested it several months ago and we got some of the kinks out and [0:59:51, 1:00:00]: Made some changes, added some content, and um I would like for you all to write down stockbridgemainstreet.com. [1:00:01, 1:00:04]: All one word, no dashes, stockbridge, main street. [1:00:04, 1:00:06]: Dot com [1:00:07, 1:00:23]: And it's gonna go live this weekend. So I would like for you all to again um visit the site, look it over, test it out, see if there's anything that's not looking right. This is just a little soft launch. [1:00:23, 1:00:32]: Um, you can tell friends and family to look at it. We're going to try to get staff to look at it as well. And just give us some feedback on what you think about. [1:00:32, 1:00:36]: the site itself. Again, that's Stockbridge Main Street. [1:00:36, 1:00:37]: dot com [1:00:38, 1:00:42]: And um just shoot us some emails and let us know what you think. [1:00:43, 1:00:50]: The work plan committee joint DDA Main Street Work Plan Committee are downtown connectivity. [1:00:50, 1:00:51]: Committee meant [1:00:51, 1:00:55]: Last week for the on the first um Tuesday of the month. [1:00:56, 1:00:57]: Think that was the seventh. [1:00:57, 1:01:00]: And then downtown beautification will be meeting. [1:01:00, 1:01:03]: On the fourteenth, both groups have homework. [1:01:03, 1:01:07]: Um, that you all are supposed to be bringing to our next meetings. [1:01:08, 1:01:08]: Um the [1:01:09, 1:01:10]: Connectivity um meet [1:01:11, 1:01:17]: Crew will not be meeting in January. So uh make note of that if you are on the design and connectivity. [1:01:18, 1:01:21]: Um committee we will not be meeting in January. [1:01:22, 1:01:23]: Uh but the um [1:01:24, 1:01:28]: Design and um downtown beautification and activation will be [1:01:28, 1:01:33]: Um meeting next week on the fourteenth, I think it is. Tuesday the fourteenth. [1:01:34, 1:01:36]: Yes, Tuesday the fourteenth at six PM. [1:01:36, 1:01:41]: And you all had a homework assignment, so make sure you come back with your homework completed. [1:01:42, 1:01:43]: Um [1:01:43, 1:01:46]: Then there's one other thing that we um [1:01:46, 1:01:51]: I want to address and that is um an issue. I'm sorry. Yes Frank is a question. Are you [1:01:52, 1:01:54]: I I wanted to say something about the work plan. [1:01:54, 1:01:56]: Mm-hmm. Um [1:01:56, 1:01:58]: So we um [1:01:58, 1:02:07]: As a committee uh our the different committees were talking about it, we thought it was a good idea to present our work plan to [1:02:09, 1:02:13]: To present the work plan to uh the council. [1:02:13, 1:02:15]: Because um [1:02:15, 1:02:20]: We just wanted to make sure they understood, although they had heard about it before, understood. [1:02:20, 1:02:27]: what we were trying to do and agree to allow us to go forward with that uh work. [1:02:28, 1:02:34]: And therefore we'll have more support as we go through. They understand what we're doing. Um [1:02:34, 1:02:40]: You know, it won't be a surprise to them when different parts um are presented uh of the work that we've [1:02:40, 1:02:44]: Completed and are trying to uh improve to the downtown. [1:02:44, 1:02:45]: So [1:02:45, 1:02:49]: Um, Mr. Peterson was able to go before the council last week. [1:02:49, 1:02:59]: and request that our uh work plan be accepted in a resolution. That resolution has passed. And so I think that's really good news. Um [1:03:00, 1:03:03]: I think sometimes in the past we had some work that was done that [1:03:03, 1:03:04]: Maybe they [1:03:05, 1:03:09]: Misunderstood or forgot about, or whatever the case may be. [1:03:09, 1:03:12]: And then um it wasn't always followed through on so [1:03:12, 1:03:15]: I think it's a great thing that we have a resolution. [1:03:15, 1:03:17]: To acknowledge our work plan. [1:03:18, 1:03:20]: Thanks for um adding that, Lisa. [1:03:20, 1:03:24]: I'm trying to speed through and that was a very important point. [1:03:24, 1:03:28]: um that we did get that resolution approved. And thank you, Alan, for [1:03:29, 1:03:32]: taking that to the city council and um making sure [1:03:32, 1:03:34]: That they understood um [1:03:34, 1:03:38]: what it is we're planning to do over the next year and into the future. [1:03:39, 1:03:44]: Okay. Um one other item I had with regard to um [1:03:45, 1:03:50]: I guess it's not necessarily a project update, but it does um work into our [1:03:51, 1:03:55]: uh work plan and that is the um creating the [1:03:55, 1:04:01]: sense of place in our downtown and we have it has come to my attention that we have [1:04:01, 1:04:03]: А хомлеснес проблем. [1:04:03, 1:04:04]: That is starting to [1:04:05, 1:04:06]: Develop [1:04:06, 1:04:08]: In the downtown area, we've got a couple of [1:04:09, 1:04:11]: Folks who have decided that [1:04:11, 1:04:13]: Our downtown is um [1:04:14, 1:04:16]: A good place for them to set up. [1:04:16, 1:04:18]: Um, their camp. [1:04:18, 1:04:22]: And we are trying very hard to discourage. [1:04:23, 1:04:24]: This sort of behaviour. [1:04:25, 1:04:26]: Um they have [1:04:26, 1:04:30]: Um, come into some of the downtown businesses and [1:04:31, 1:04:31]: Um [1:04:32, 1:04:33]: Have not. [1:04:33, 1:04:35]: made it to кон conducive for [1:04:36, 1:04:41]: people who are shopping and and coming into the downtown area to do business and [1:04:41, 1:04:46]: This is something that we definitely don't want to have in our downtown. So [1:04:47, 1:04:53]: I have spoken with the um police chief our new police chief chief um tramer [1:04:53, 1:04:57]: And I've met with him, and he has [1:04:58, 1:05:00]: Ам, спокен вид Генри Коні поліс. [1:05:01, 1:05:02]: Um they have [1:05:02, 1:05:06]: Increase the patrols for downtown trying to [1:05:06, 1:05:09]: kind of see if there's any kind of um [1:05:09, 1:05:11]: Unwanted behaviour going on. [1:05:12, 1:05:15]: Um, they have also advised us that if [1:05:16, 1:05:17]: Any um [1:05:17, 1:05:21]: Of these folks are coming into the businesses. [1:05:21, 1:05:22]: That [1:05:22, 1:05:24]: Um, you should [1:05:24, 1:05:24]: Um [1:05:25, 1:05:30]: file a police report if they are being belligerent or being in any way um [1:05:31, 1:05:31]: Um [1:05:32, 1:05:36]: I guess unwanted or showing unwanted behaviors or just [1:05:36, 1:05:39]: Um being in your places of business. [1:05:39, 1:05:41]: Um they have also [1:05:41, 1:05:42]: Um [1:05:42, 1:05:47]: told us that if the person is inside of your business and they are not [1:05:48, 1:05:49]: There to do business. [1:05:49, 1:05:52]: Make a purchase, uh, be serviced. [1:05:52, 1:05:53]: That you [1:05:53, 1:05:58]: as the business owner do have and business and or property owner do have the right. [1:05:58, 1:06:00]: To ask them to leave. [1:06:00, 1:06:04]: Um, I've also alerted our mayor about the situation. [1:06:05, 1:06:05]: Yeah. [1:06:05, 1:06:08]: Mayor in capacity as mayor and as city manager. [1:06:08, 1:06:12]: And I have alerted our public works staff about. [1:06:13, 1:06:14]: Getting the um [1:06:15, 1:06:19]: campsites removed it's kind of a slippery slope because [1:06:19, 1:06:20]: Um [1:06:21, 1:06:22]: The [1:06:22, 1:06:23]: Campsites [1:06:23, 1:06:29]: The police cannot, even though they've come out and they've um removed some volatile [1:06:29, 1:06:31]: Um s things that they had in the camp. [1:06:32, 1:06:35]: They cannot remove the camp. That is the [1:06:35, 1:06:40]: responsibility of either the property owner that the proper that the camp has been set up on. [1:06:41, 1:06:42]: Or on the city if that [1:06:43, 1:06:49]: Camp is within the city's right of way or in city owned or controlled property. [1:06:49, 1:06:54]: So I have um photographs of where the camp is and have [1:06:54, 1:06:57]: sent those to all of the parties, so um hopefully [1:06:58, 1:06:58]: That [1:06:59, 1:07:03]: will be removed immediately so that we don't have that in our downtown. [1:07:04, 1:07:09]: Um, there's also a problem uh behind the library I've been alerted to, I've met with. [1:07:09, 1:07:21]: Um, Miss Johnson, who is the head librarian at Cochrane Library, and there's a meeting scheduled with the police chief for next week with her as well. So we're trying to work toward [1:07:21, 1:07:28]: kind of nipping this situation in the bud before it becomes a very, very, very serious problem. It's serious now. [1:07:28, 1:07:30]: But we don't want it to turn into something that [1:07:31, 1:07:32]: is very um [1:07:32, 1:07:36]: Detrimental to our downtown and our downtown development efforts. [1:07:37, 1:07:39]: Okay, that concludes my report. [1:07:40, 1:07:40]: Um [1:07:41, 1:07:43]: I'll give it back over to you, Anika. [1:07:45, 1:07:46]: Okay, thank you. [1:07:46, 1:07:59]: for your report and um at this time our next agenda item is our DDA report. Is Ms. Richardson or Mr. Peterson able to present a report for us today? [1:08:02, 1:08:07]: Um once again, unfortunately there's no report. Um [1:08:07, 1:08:11]: The only thing that we have going on right now, well, we are having um [1:08:13, 1:08:22]: Council McGain and did inform us that she's rolling off the DDA board. So we don't I'm not really sure who the replacement is going to be at this time. [1:08:22, 1:08:29]: Also, um we don't have any active projects going on other than working with our joint committees with Main Street. [1:08:30, 1:08:31]: Um [1:08:31, 1:08:31]: So [1:08:32, 1:08:37]: Those will be the only two updates we have at this time. Hoping and praying for a more active 2022. [1:08:40, 1:08:42]: Okay. Alan, did you have anything? [1:08:44, 1:08:50]: Uh yes, uh Roger and I have some meetings set up regarding the DDA market study. [1:08:50, 1:08:56]: As far as the business recruitment and retention committee, I was out of town, so we did not meet this month. We will meet again. [1:08:56, 1:08:58]: In January. [1:08:58, 1:09:01]: Uh, the group has their homework and [1:09:01, 1:09:04]: Uh before that meeting, I'll send out other updates. [1:09:05, 1:09:09]: But um we'll keep you posted. Uh we'll we'll update everyone next month. [1:09:09, 1:09:13]: On the D DA market study. Uh like I said, Roger and I have some [1:09:13, 1:09:14]: Awesome. [1:09:14, 1:09:16]: Meeting set up regarding that. [1:09:16, 1:09:20]: And um Kerry and Lisa already touched on the resolution. [1:09:21, 1:09:21]: Okay. [1:09:23, 1:09:27]: Perfect. Thank you both for the update. Um any questions? [1:09:31, 1:09:35]: Okay, hearing that. And I do want to apologize for changing um [1:09:35, 1:09:40]: to no visual, I had connectivity and had to rejoin on my phone. [1:09:41, 1:09:41]: Um [1:09:42, 1:09:44]: connectivity c connectivity issue, sorry. [1:09:45, 1:09:45]: Mm. [1:09:46, 1:09:53]: Hearing no questions or concerns, we'll move on to our next agenda item, which is announcements or concerns. Do we have any? [1:09:53, 1:09:55]: From our board members. [1:09:59, 1:10:01]: No announcements, no concerns? [1:10:02, 1:10:03]: Happy holidays. [1:10:03, 1:10:07]: I know, right? Exactly. Thank you for that. [1:10:08, 1:10:09]: Okay. [1:10:11, 1:10:12]: Okay. [1:10:13, 1:10:13]: Beautiful. [1:10:14, 1:10:14]: Well [1:10:15, 1:10:19]: I echo happ happy holidays. We begin and end with the same sentiment. [1:10:19, 1:10:26]: Um we are hoping that 2022 will be fantastic for us all and um Main Street will continue to grow. [1:10:26, 1:10:28]: Um, along with the city. [1:10:28, 1:10:32]: Um and thank you all for all that you do and your service and your commitment. [1:10:32, 1:10:39]: Um and your uh rededication for several of you to the Main Street program effort. [1:10:39, 1:10:40]: Um [1:10:40, 1:10:44]: And anything else? I just want to say. [1:10:44, 1:10:47]: Happy holidays to everyone. Um [1:10:47, 1:10:48]: We've had [1:10:48, 1:10:54]: Two incredible years that just went by. My head is still spinning. [1:10:54, 1:10:58]: But you guys have really um helped us to [1:10:58, 1:11:01]: Кип, іноарнис. [1:11:02, 1:11:18]: and supported us and I rely on you and always look forward to your support. So thank you so much and enjoy your families, enjoy your holidays, stay healthy. And I know I'll see some of your faces uh before the new year, but [1:11:19, 1:11:23]: Just the same. I want to also say I'd be happy to see you in twenty twenty two. [1:11:24, 1:11:29]: All right, perfect. Thank you, Lisa. Perfect sentiment to end our meeting. [1:11:29, 1:11:30]: Madam Chair. [1:11:31, 1:11:37]: Oh yes, sir. Sorry, Mr. Thomas. Councilman Thomas. No problem. I I just want to commend the [1:11:38, 1:11:45]: uh Main Street uh board as well as the Main Street program. [1:11:45, 1:11:48]: Um as part of the elected body. [1:11:49, 1:11:50]: And [1:11:50, 1:11:53]: uh the the direction that we are taking [1:11:54, 1:11:58]: Um, you know, coming out of the past election and [1:11:58, 1:12:00]: We're in the budget cycle now. [1:12:01, 1:12:03]: And you know, we are trying to [1:12:03, 1:12:06]: Uh, look at how we can [1:12:06, 1:12:10]: Uh improve all of our efforts as a team. [1:12:11, 1:12:28]: uh to create a better quality of life for all of our citizens and improve our service delivery. But I I just want to say though as a teammate, uh I appreciate the the the Main Street program and and y'all's value to [1:12:28, 1:12:48]: uh the whole movement. I know Mrs. Bragg, you and Lisa, I know, you know, recently, you know, there have been some comments made. I know Dr. Peterson is aware of that, but um I would just say that um most folks do not, you know, take that view. And uh I appreciate, you know, [1:12:48, 1:12:52]: over the years I've I've been able to to see [1:12:53, 1:13:07]: And to appreciate the effort. And I one thing I can say about this board, um, I may miss a meeting or two here and there because of you know other reasons, but we we have a functioning [1:13:08, 1:13:12]: А нам моем фасиздат, ви авиафонни борй програм. [1:13:12, 1:13:26]: and and we're in the trenches, you know, we're working to to improve the City of Stockbridge. And and I think this is what a a lot of folks see uh when there were no other entities uh you know working. [1:13:26, 1:13:31]: you know, this this board at work and you're visible. So I just know that [1:13:31, 1:13:42]: citizens see this board where they may not even see some elected officials out here working. But I can say that um this board going back to the movies. [1:13:42, 1:13:49]: Uh, you know, when we before the pandemic, I I can just say that, you know, this is a a a a visual. [1:13:50, 1:14:05]: uh board, you know, people see you out here working. And so I just wanted to just say that because um the some of the s uh comments that have been made, uh I thought they was really off and and I have [1:14:05, 1:14:25]: um you know spoken to uh individuals that you know have made some some comments but uh i'll just say that it is not that sentiment is not viewed by the majority of of the council so I just wanna say um I I thank you all and then I commend all of the boys [1:14:25, 1:14:34]: members for being committed uh to you know help making Stockbridge a better place to live and work and play. Thank you. [1:14:36, 1:14:56]: Thank you. And thank you very much. And um I echo um Lisa's sentiments that she um gave earlier, and I thank each and every one of you. It's been a tough two years, and I thank you all for hanging in. And I know that things seem slow, but there is movement. [1:14:55, 1:14:57]: movement and [1:14:57, 1:14:58]: Oui. [1:14:58, 1:15:03]: You're gonna see it in twenty twenty two. And I'm very excited about the movement that you're going to see. [1:15:04, 1:15:05]: Everything stays on track.
