[0:14:42, 0:14:43]: Yeah. [0:14:44, 0:14:44]: Okay. [0:14:46, 0:14:49]: Okay, thank you. I wanted to ask um [0:14:50, 0:14:51]: Mr. Wiggins. [0:14:52, 0:14:52]: Um [0:14:54, 0:14:55]: Do you know how much we [0:14:56, 0:14:58]: budgeted for this particular project. [0:14:59, 0:15:00]: And if so [0:15:01, 0:15:03]: How much money or [0:15:03, 0:15:03]: That's it. [0:15:04, 0:15:04]: With a furniture. [0:15:06, 0:15:07]: For the furniture? [0:15:08, 0:15:08]: Yeah. [0:15:09, 0:15:13]: We budgeted f uh it was four hundred and forty four thousand. [0:15:15, 0:15:15]: For this project. [0:15:16, 0:15:17]: Okay, for the construction. [0:15:18, 0:15:20]: That I think that included F F and E as well. [0:15:21, 0:15:21]: Yeah. [0:15:22, 0:15:25]: It includes everything, get the the four hundred and forty four thousand. [0:15:25, 0:15:28]: was a uh budget amount and I think uh [0:15:29, 0:15:33]: Kara and Alan, when they went through, they included everything. [0:15:34, 0:15:36]: And uh when I told'em that's the budget, they [0:15:36, 0:15:39]: included everything to try to come up on the budget. [0:15:40, 0:15:41]: And they did. [0:15:41, 0:15:42]: Pony sent out. [0:15:44, 0:15:45]: For the construction. [0:15:46, 0:15:46]: Yes. [0:15:47, 0:15:52]: It's for construction. Thank you for uh w what else did you have on on the all? [0:15:52, 0:15:53]: Kingland. [0:15:54, 0:15:57]: Sure, if you need a book to that sheet. Oh, okay. [0:15:57, 0:16:11]: Okay. Doesn't include any kitchen appliances, desks, chairs, that kind of thing. Yeah. This is just for the construction. Um, because there was four hundred and forty-four thousand dollars budgeted for the total project. [0:16:12, 0:16:17]: We had some wiggle room, so construction came in under budget, so we have some space for. [0:16:17, 0:16:21]: Actually purchasing the furniture for the interior space. [0:16:21, 0:16:25]: We're only gonna have a small break room, so we won't require [0:16:25, 0:16:31]: Um any large kitchen fixtures uh we already have an ice maker that is there. [0:16:31, 0:16:42]: um ample counter. So they won't be doing a a lot of fixtures in the kitchen. The most fixtures will be associated with the office spaces, the desk and [0:16:42, 0:16:45]: Черс форсити. [0:16:45, 0:16:47]: And then the actual boardroom area. [0:16:48, 0:16:50]: Forward slash conference room area. [0:16:50, 0:16:54]: 'Cause also the the last year I think the the Ted was already uh [0:16:54, 0:16:57]: The kitchen area was already renovated. [0:16:57, 0:17:00]: So it's a lot of new stuff already there. [0:17:00, 0:17:01]: That they're gonna use. [0:17:03, 0:17:04]: Okay. That's true. [0:17:05, 0:17:06]: Thank you. [0:17:07, 0:17:09]: Council, any other questions that you may have? [0:17:10, 0:17:12]: Uh yes, sir. Go go write it, please. [0:17:13, 0:17:33]: Mr. Peterson, in terms of uh a sharing space between yourself and Main Street, how do you see that being played out in terms of your space versus uh what Main Street would share and uh how how is the layout in terms of the office? [0:17:33, 0:17:49]: Offices, uh we just had individual offices. So where's your office and where's uh the uh Miss Bragg's office or or lit or the assistant's office? Hold on just a second. [0:17:49, 0:17:49]: Mm-hmm. [0:17:57, 0:17:58]: Oops. [0:18:00, 0:18:01]: Beautiful family. [0:18:01, 0:18:03]: I'm sorry about that. [0:18:04, 0:18:05]: Thank you. [0:18:10, 0:18:11]: Okay, can you all see that? [0:18:12, 0:18:16]: Uh just your family right now. Oh we just see your your background. [0:18:16, 0:18:17]: All right, sorry. [0:18:23, 0:18:26]: Okay, now we have the slide. Now we have a slide present, please. [0:18:26, 0:18:28]: Okay. Very first slide. [0:18:28, 0:18:29]: This is what we have. [0:18:29, 0:18:31]: Sorry about that. Oh there you go. [0:18:31, 0:18:33]: There there we are. [0:18:33, 0:18:34]: Mm-hmm. [0:18:35, 0:18:37]: Can you see it, Councilmember Alexander? Yes, sir. [0:18:37, 0:18:39]: These are the offices here. Right. [0:18:40, 0:18:43]: If if you can you move your cursor to the offices, Miss Ms. Kira? [0:18:44, 0:18:46]: Yes. There you go. All right. Those are the [0:18:47, 0:18:49]: The uh the four offices right there. [0:18:49, 0:18:55]: Um now as as far as which one is going to be mine, Kira's and Lisa's. [0:18:55, 0:18:56]: Um, I don't know yet. [0:18:57, 0:18:57]: Mm-hmm. [0:18:58, 0:18:59]: Well I guess we'll uh [0:18:59, 0:19:03]: draw straws to see who gets the largest office. But um [0:19:03, 0:19:05]: But those are the offices right there. [0:19:05, 0:19:07]: Okay, so in terms of what you [0:19:08, 0:19:17]: envision on the economic development side, your use of this space would be primarily to do what you thinking uh you bringing the client [0:19:17, 0:19:21]: Yeah, uh prospective um business investors. [0:19:22, 0:19:26]: And depending on the number, I'll I'll likely have them in that conference room. [0:19:26, 0:19:33]: Mm-hmm. I like to have them in that in that conference room. Um the office I the office here is smaller than the office that I have in City Hall. [0:19:34, 0:19:38]: Um, so if if they bring drawings or anything like that, we'll be in in that conference room. [0:19:39, 0:19:40]: So um [0:19:40, 0:19:45]: Likely in the conference room is where I'm gonna have my meetings and we're downtown so we can walk downtown and [0:19:45, 0:19:53]: If we're going to a different part of the city, just hop in the city vehicle and drive with them. But you know, as you know, I don't I don't spend much time cooped up in the office. [0:19:53, 0:19:54]: So um [0:19:54, 0:19:56]: That that's the way we're we're going to arrange it. [0:19:58, 0:20:16]: So in terms of your future growth, and we like I would like to think that you would be growing your office. So we would have another office in there to add somebody uh to your department as well. I see we have four offices. So two of those offices would be yours and two of those would be Main Street. [0:20:17, 0:20:18]: Is that what the thought process is? [0:20:19, 0:20:21]: Or Miss Bragg, either one. [0:20:21, 0:20:33]: Well, um we did plan that was in our minds that we would want to plan for future growth. Um we also have the receptionist area here because someone can be seated there as well. [0:20:34, 0:20:36]: So we actually have [0:20:36, 0:20:37]: Um, five. [0:20:38, 0:20:39]: Spaces for staff. [0:20:40, 0:20:46]: And then an additional, as I mentioned before, an intern desk for um volunteer um [0:20:47, 0:20:49]: staff and or intern staff. [0:20:49, 0:20:50]: So [0:20:50, 0:20:57]: We feel that it is um ample that there is ample room for growth expansion of either one of [0:20:57, 0:20:58]: Um those [0:20:58, 0:21:01]: particular departments which is, you know, the [0:21:01, 0:21:03]: um economic development team. [0:21:04, 0:21:06]: Okay, and in terms of this project. [0:21:07, 0:21:07]: Uh [0:21:08, 0:21:09]: Lay out a timeline for it. [0:21:11, 0:21:15]: A pr I know you can't be sp you can't be down to the day, but something general. [0:21:18, 0:21:25]: Um well that would depend on um once we are able to um get [0:21:25, 0:21:27]: Move forward with the contract. Um [0:21:28, 0:21:33]: They are telling us that it would take anywhere from 90 to 120 days. [0:21:33, 0:21:35]: In order to um [0:21:35, 0:21:45]: do all of the renovations. And again, they gave us that wide window because there are some issues with um supply chain. [0:21:45, 0:21:56]: So there are some delays, or some projects have experienced some delays around the city with regard to receiving building materials. [0:21:56, 0:22:00]: But we feel that if we get started immediately, we would. [0:22:00, 0:22:10]: um be able to occupy this space by the end of the year or at the latest the early part of next year. But we would like to really push for [0:22:10, 0:22:15]: Um this year because again it is not a rebuild, it is a remodel. [0:22:16, 0:22:18]: Okay, well that that's very that sounds really um [0:22:19, 0:22:22]: You know, uh while that's aggressive to make sure that we can uh [0:22:22, 0:22:26]: Get this project going and get some construction in downtown going. [0:22:26, 0:22:28]: So it it creates some excitement. So thank you. [0:22:29, 0:22:36]: Thank you. I saw Mr. Blount's hand first, Mayor Purtain, if you don't mind. Um Mr. Blount, go ahead, please. [0:22:36, 0:22:40]: Yeah, Ms. Bryce, could you put the uh the layout back up for me? [0:22:41, 0:22:42]: Yes, sir. [0:22:45, 0:22:46]: Is it up? [0:22:47, 0:22:49]: Yes. Yes, it is it is now. Okay. [0:22:51, 0:22:55]: Um, because I know one of the concerns that you all have had. [0:22:55, 0:22:56]: For quite some time. [0:22:57, 0:23:02]: has been storage space. And I'm looking at this. How how large is your storage space? [0:23:03, 0:23:05]: This is our storage space here. [0:23:05, 0:23:06]: It's sixty two. [0:23:07, 0:23:10]: I don't see could you see I'm moving the cursor? [0:23:12, 0:23:14]: Can you see that moving the cursor? [0:23:15, 0:23:17]: No, we don't see you can't see my cursor. [0:23:18, 0:23:18]: There you go. [0:23:18, 0:23:19]: There you go. [0:23:19, 0:23:20]: Okay. [0:23:20, 0:23:24]: This area here is sixty two square feet. [0:23:27, 0:23:30]: And the work area that we have here. [0:23:30, 0:23:35]: Is um all of that mealwork that you saw listed on the um [0:23:35, 0:23:36]: Pricing sheet. [0:23:37, 0:23:42]: That is going to be shelving, um, cubbies, drawers, and cabinetry. [0:23:42, 0:23:54]: so that we will be able to store um Main Street supplies and implements. If you've ever been in the Main Street closet here at the city of Stockbridge, it is chocked full at City Hall, it's chocked full. [0:23:54, 0:23:59]: So we took into the account that we do a lot of community events and activity. [0:23:59, 0:24:00]: And um [0:24:01, 0:24:06]: Programmed a lot of storage cabinetry and shelving in this particular work area. [0:24:07, 0:24:12]: We added this um storage space that is not present right now in the um Ted Strickland. [0:24:13, 0:24:19]: And then a dedicated cloak coat closet that would service this conference room. The conference room. [0:24:19, 0:24:22]: Um will also have cabinetry. [0:24:23, 0:24:26]: On both ends of the um room. [0:24:26, 0:24:29]: So we feel that we'll have ample storage space there. [0:24:29, 0:24:43]: But when we talk about tables and things like that, um, we are going to have to kind of rethink where some of that stuff is stored. We won't be using the large um round tables that are stored there currently. [0:24:43, 0:24:45]: Um but [0:24:45, 0:24:49]: That is something to think about with regard to how those tables are used. [0:24:50, 0:24:52]: Від Merrill Manders Conference Center. [0:24:52, 0:24:54]: and um the amphitheater. [0:24:56, 0:24:56]: Well [0:24:58, 0:25:00]: I'm just looking at um [0:25:00, 0:25:05]: future usage when I looked at the storage space and I know you guys had quite a bit. [0:25:06, 0:25:08]: Uh when you was designing this. [0:25:08, 0:25:28]: Was it designed and minded to only have 62 square feet of storage space or you was preferably trying to get more? Because I know that you guys talked about um items that we was uh Main Street was renting that we was if there was any purchase that's 62 square feet is pretty small. Um is that was there any [0:25:28, 0:25:35]: Any other area that you guys was looking at for storage? Because that was concerns. Oh, I'm sorry, sir. [0:25:36, 0:25:40]: I was gonna say Main Street as far as rentals are concerned, we [0:25:40, 0:25:51]: don't really do a lot of renting. We usually utilize the tables and chairs that the city already has in possession. We borrow them from the event staff. [0:25:51, 0:25:58]: Um, there is room um behind the Ted Strickland that we could um develop in the future. [0:25:58, 0:26:02]: Um to create um maybe a small um storage. [0:26:03, 0:26:04]: Um outbuilding. [0:26:05, 0:26:11]: Um, but that would be a part of our phase two of the alleyway project. We did kind of contemplate that. [0:26:11, 0:26:19]: But we really don't rent a lot of stuff. The things that we use, we utilize from [0:26:19, 0:26:19]: Um [0:26:20, 0:26:22]: the stocks that are already available. [0:26:22, 0:26:25]: through the Merrill Monders Conference Center and the event staff. [0:26:26, 0:26:31]: Okay. I was just looking at a lot of things like when we show movies and we do different things, but [0:26:31, 0:26:33]: Um I'm fine with that. Thanks. [0:26:33, 0:26:37]: Yeah, I was gonna say when we do movies, all of those tables and things that you see we rent. [0:26:38, 0:26:40]: From I make rent. We borrow from um [0:26:41, 0:26:42]: The better um [0:26:42, 0:26:46]: Event staff as far as the movie screen that is [0:26:46, 0:26:51]: Um, a part of the package that we utilize when we [0:26:51, 0:26:51]: Um [0:26:52, 0:27:01]: license our movies. Um so that's all a a a combo package, so to speak. The movie, the licensing, and the screen are a package deal. [0:27:01, 0:27:02]: Okay, thank you. [0:27:03, 0:27:04]: Yes, sir. [0:27:04, 0:27:10]: Mayor Proten comments, go ahead, please. Thank you. Uh Dr. Peterson and Ms. Braggs. [0:27:10, 0:27:12]: In terms of [0:27:12, 0:27:15]: uh commute community meetings [0:27:16, 0:27:17]: Focus groups [0:27:19, 0:27:26]: What is the plan? I know we've had uh as an advisory board member, I know we've had some sessions. [0:27:26, 0:27:33]: uh outside but what is the plans it's looking at the space uh uh on the interior [0:27:33, 0:27:40]: What is the plan for those types of uh community gatherings or focus groups? [0:27:41, 0:27:52]: Well, we were very um strategic and um very intentional with the creation of this space. Um we wanted to make sure that there was a large board slash conference room. [0:27:52, 0:27:56]: available in this particular facility because we would like [0:27:56, 0:27:58]: To be able to offer this space. [0:27:58, 0:28:03]: The small business owners who may need to um have a meeting space. [0:28:03, 0:28:07]: Ам, і спеціальні армтоун бізнес і антропенюрс. [0:28:07, 0:28:11]: Ви хост класи, ви хав аверий строгрші. [0:28:11, 0:28:13]: with um truest bank. [0:28:13, 0:28:15]: Project Hope and we also have [0:28:15, 0:28:18]: А стронг реляншеншип від Смал Бізнес Девелопна Центр. [0:28:18, 0:28:22]: out of the University of Georgia located at Clayton State University. [0:28:23, 0:28:24]: They provide um [0:28:24, 0:28:27]: Техніка асистент to our small business owners. [0:28:28, 0:28:33]: and our great partners. So we're hoping that we will be able to host classes there. [0:28:33, 0:28:39]: invite the community to this space and also serve as a welcome center in the downtown area. [0:28:39, 0:28:58]: We want um entrepreneurs, um, small business owners and um even developers to see this as a space where they can come meet with staff, learn about the community, and also learn about all of the investment opportunities that will be available in the city. That's why it was so important. [0:28:58, 0:29:06]: For us to locate the economic development offices in this space. We felt that having economic development here. [0:29:06, 0:29:09]: In the downtown with the Main Street program staff. [0:29:10, 0:29:13]: we would be able to kind of be that one two punch to be able to [0:29:14, 0:29:24]: give our prospective investors a view of our community, a welcome to our community, and then a display of all of the opportunities that we can offer. [0:29:26, 0:29:28]: In addition to that, uh Mayor Pro Tem. [0:29:28, 0:29:33]: The Henry County Chamber is in the beginning stages of of their incubator program. [0:29:33, 0:29:37]: And I've spoken with them about their program and they're in the beginning stages of that. [0:29:38, 0:29:46]: And so uh there's an opportunity for us to partner with them as well for businesses that are participating in that program that are from Stockbridge. [0:29:47, 0:29:56]: Right. We've talked with John about having almost like a a satellite type area um here in Stockbridge because um we think that there is a need [0:29:57, 0:30:00]: For the Chamber to reach out more to um [0:30:00, 0:30:03]: Екстендер річ то стокбridж бізнес. [0:30:03, 0:30:09]: And we think that this would be a win-win for our developing partnership with the Chamber of Commerce as well. [0:30:10, 0:30:13]: Right. I I I guess I was um [0:30:14, 0:30:19]: sort of going back looking at some of the things that had happened in the past. [0:30:19, 0:30:25]: And even potentially going forward, I know there's been a number of [0:30:25, 0:30:28]: uh sessions um outside [0:30:29, 0:30:32]: And and I guess I was I wanted to hear [0:30:32, 0:30:52]: um something along those lines. I know with the um the breeze way eventually is going to come. And and I guess um Mrs. Braggs, I guess as we go forward, uh when you meet uh with the advisory board, I guess some of those things come up. But I'm [0:30:52, 0:30:59]: Just sort of just going back, and the reason I'm I'm harping on this because I I just know how successful. [0:30:59, 0:31:11]: They were. And uh and one thing I I think uh as a board member myself and I think for the Main Street program, um citizens always came out. [0:31:11, 0:31:14]: uh for those uh sessions. [0:31:14, 0:31:30]: And uh there was a number of citizens that would that that that came out. And even when we met with the uh business owners uh recently, we had a large number to come out. I was looking at the the seating uh in the diagram, looked like there was like 14. [0:31:30, 0:31:32]: Seats in the conference room. [0:31:32, 0:31:34]: And I can put that back up. [0:31:34, 0:31:35]: Hold on. [0:31:36, 0:31:49]: And I guess eventually uh that would happen, but I guess I was just still sort of thinking uh in terms of going forward. And I I guess those things will happen, Ms. Brad, because I know you and um [0:31:49, 0:31:52]: Uh Miss Reed, I know you all [0:31:52, 0:32:06]: are always planning those kind of sessions. And I just know how successful they were uh when we had those um outdoor sessions. And I guess I wanted to hear if some of those things were [0:32:06, 0:32:15]: Um, you know, in the plan and and I guess without you answering that I I guess I guess they really are. But I I would just listen to see if you were gonna speak to any of that. [0:32:15, 0:32:26]: Oh um well I can do that. Um as you know, we have established a um downtown beautification and activation committee that is a a joint um committee. [0:32:27, 0:32:28]: Um that is [0:32:28, 0:32:30]: Composed of DDA members and [0:32:31, 0:32:36]: Main Street Advisory Board members and this committee is tasked with [0:32:36, 0:32:37]: Uh coming up. [0:32:37, 0:32:39]: with and brainstorming ways to [0:32:40, 0:32:41]: further activate our downtown. [0:32:42, 0:32:52]: We see the Breezeway as being an extension of our Main Street program and economic development offices. So we will be hosting. [0:32:52, 0:32:54]: Outdoor events um [0:32:54, 0:32:58]: рецепс мітн греть азви авай [0:32:58, 0:33:05]: in this space, in this extension of our offices, um, the Breezeway. So we're looking forward to that type of [0:33:05, 0:33:06]: Um [0:33:06, 0:33:08]: activation in the downtown because again [0:33:09, 0:33:14]: We want people to get used to coming downtown and being a part of downtown. [0:33:14, 0:33:15]: And being interested. [0:33:16, 0:33:17]: And being um [0:33:17, 0:33:18]: An active participant. [0:33:19, 0:33:23]: in this area. So we're looking forward to those types of activities. [0:33:24, 0:33:25]: Thank you. [0:33:25, 0:33:31]: Sir welcome. No, sir, no, stand by please. Stand by miss Gantt is next, please. Wait, Ms. Gantt. [0:33:31, 0:33:40]: Ms. Braggs, I s uh um thank you for that presentation. In regards to the uh the in the past, we've had another [0:33:40, 0:33:50]: rendering of possible office for Main Street and economic development, the DDA was included. Is the DDA included for an office space there as well? [0:33:51, 0:33:58]: Well, as we mentioned, we do have the um fourth office that is available for um [0:33:59, 0:34:12]: extended um staff use and or board use. We um the DDA is not a I guess a staff member, but they are a very active um partner and contributor to downtown development. [0:34:12, 0:34:17]: So we would be willing to make space for the DDA to be able to operate. [0:34:17, 0:34:20]: Out of um this particular um [0:34:21, 0:34:25]: Location and um again we have um [0:34:25, 0:34:33]: The intern slash volunteer space that is also available since they are um more of a a part-time presence. [0:34:33, 0:34:35]: In um our [0:34:35, 0:34:37]: Day to day operations. [0:34:37, 0:34:45]: But again, we have that extra office and if it is the um council's desire that can be utilized for them. [0:34:47, 0:34:48]: Okay. [0:34:48, 0:34:49]: Uh Mr. Gardner, please. [0:34:50, 0:34:55]: I'm I'm good. Um good. I I was just in the setting. Um Mr. Count uh Mr. [0:34:56, 0:34:57]: I'm April Tim. [0:34:57, 0:35:04]: Um, you know, when you have a large event that can't, you know, utilize the conference room, we we also still do have the Merrill Manderson City Hall. [0:35:05, 0:35:07]: Where you could have gatherings if you're doing [0:35:07, 0:35:18]: listening sessions and you need to have a larger room. We still have that facility right down the road to utilize as well, a city hall. So and this building is is geared to house economic development as a whole. [0:35:19, 0:35:22]: So your mean street, your DDA program. [0:35:23, 0:35:26]: will all be housed out of there, they're staffed by the same people. [0:35:26, 0:35:34]: Um so we should be pretty much good to go with this building and then that frees up some office space in City Hall, as you know. [0:35:34, 0:35:37]: We're we're going to have to grow a little bit. [0:35:37, 0:35:48]: Um and in light of some things happening in particular in the near future, if they do, we're we're gonna have to grow. So we're gonna need office space because City Hall is is uh full. [0:35:50, 0:35:52]: Okay, good deal. Uh Mr. Alexander, go ahead, please. [0:35:53, 0:36:01]: Yes, uh uh Ms. Kent uh kind of really stole my thunder there, but because of the DDA, we certainly are would encourage and support. [0:36:01, 0:36:02]: That um [0:36:03, 0:36:07]: You know, that we have the Office for Economic Development, which is Mr. Peterson. [0:36:07, 0:36:13]: And then the DDA uh certainly does need a space because it's active and certainly [0:36:13, 0:36:24]: uh those individuals uh need the equal representation. So that certainly would be my suggestion to have one academic development and then one DDA office in the building too. [0:36:26, 0:36:28]: All right, any other questions, comments from the council? [0:36:29, 0:36:32]: And if Miss Barber, you have something you need to say? [0:36:32, 0:36:35]: Ms. Braggs. Yes, ma'am. [0:36:35, 0:36:37]: the capacity of the conference room. [0:36:38, 0:36:46]: Um it is it is set up for 14 people at the table. However, we are going to be getting a um [0:36:47, 0:36:53]: a board table that can be um broken down into different quadrants. [0:36:53, 0:37:04]: So we would be able to get additional chairs around the single tables if we need to. We wanted this space to be very adaptable and the furniture that we select. [0:37:04, 0:37:13]: to be adaptable as well to be able to accommodate more numbers when we're not in a board meeting setting. [0:37:16, 0:37:19]: Okay. Any other questions or concerns? [0:37:19, 0:37:22]: If not, I need a motion to accept this proposal, please. [0:37:24, 0:37:29]: It's a motion to accept the proposal. Ms. Barber, you you you're making that motion, Miss Barber? Is there a second? [0:37:30, 0:37:36]: Mr. Okay, Mayor Potem, I'm sorry. Mayor Potem seconded that motion. Okay. If there's no further discussion, all favor, please indicate. [0:37:38, 0:37:40]: And Miss Cat. [0:37:41, 0:37:43]: Oh Ms. Gantt, did you vote? [0:37:44, 0:37:48]: Okay, you voted us in a an affirmative. Okay, so it's a decision. Okay, thank you very much. [0:37:49, 0:37:49]: All right. [0:37:50, 0:37:51]: Thank you very much, everyone. [0:37:52, 0:37:53]: Well, thank you very much, Council. [0:37:54, 0:37:59]: The sewer department is requesting the city council's approval to renew the term contract. [0:38:00, 0:38:20]: For request for proposal number 2018-001Q, special non-hazardous waste service agreement between Republic Services of the City of Stockbridge in the amount of$35,000. Funding source is a sewer budget uh department budget presented by Mr. Aaron and Mr. Brown Broadshore. [0:38:19, 0:38:21]: Holsener, excuse me, Mr. Holsener. [0:38:21, 0:38:22]: Go ahead, please, gentlemen. [0:38:23, 0:38:26]: Yes, Mr. Mayor and Council, I'll let Mr. Holtzinger speak to this item. [0:38:27, 0:38:30]: Thank you, Mayor Council, for hearing me and um just [0:38:30, 0:38:33]: This what we want is [0:38:33, 0:38:53]: Where we take our residual sludge. Just I want you to know we don't we try our very best to limit all we can limit what we take to the landfill. We normally take it to farmers fields where we apply it there where it really all it costs. [0:38:53, 0:39:13]: We have to take it to the landfill when weather doesn't permit or the farms don't permit via their cutting hay or something like that. This is also a manner of logistics. [0:39:13, 0:39:24]: There's really no other place around that's reasonably close and this is a good ways away for us to take it. It's a manner of just I have to. [0:39:26, 0:39:30]: Okay. Mr. Blount, do you have a question, sir? Go ahead. [0:39:35, 0:39:37]: Uh can't hear you, Mr. Blount. You're muted. [0:39:39, 0:39:47]: Mayor and the sake of time, unless other council members have some questions pertaining to this, I would like for us to uh I motion to approve the agreement between uh [0:39:48, 0:39:54]: uh um for the uh between Republican the city of Stockbridge or for a sum of thirty five thousand dollars. [0:39:54, 0:40:01]: Okay. So all right. Let's do out of curiosity, Miss Gan second that Miss Barber, you have some additional comments. Go ahead, please. [0:40:01, 0:40:04]: I do. Um so [0:40:05, 0:40:08]: Is this a one-year contract or is it a month-to-month? [0:40:11, 0:40:29]: No, ma'am, this is an annual contract because with sluds, as Mr. Holstinger said, sometimes it's raining and you can't access the fields. And also each field has a limit that a EPD will allow us to apply on those fields. So once you reach that limit. [0:40:30, 0:40:36]: And weather conditions, you have no other choice but to land apply to sludge, and all landfills do not take sludge. [0:40:37, 0:40:39]: Okay, so looking at the [0:40:40, 0:40:42]: Service agreement doesn't expire until [0:40:43, 0:40:46]: Well, no, it part last year in December. [0:40:49, 0:40:50]: Okay, so [0:40:54, 0:40:55]: I'm confused. [0:40:55, 0:40:58]: I'm looking at this um service agreement. [0:40:59, 0:41:04]: And the expiration date expired December fourth of twenty twenty one. [0:41:04, 0:41:11]: So if we approve it now with this existing contract, will expire as of [0:41:11, 0:41:12]: Today. [0:41:12, 0:41:17]: twenty twenty three or will it expire December of twenty twenty-three? [0:41:17, 0:41:18]: Well [0:41:18, 0:41:19]: Mr. B are you? [0:41:20, 0:41:28]: We'd like for it to expire December 2023 since it's it goes from budget year to bur budget year, so it's not a mid-year. [0:41:28, 0:41:35]: uh renewal so we're adding those months to get us to 2023 so that we're on the same calendar cycle as the budget. [0:41:36, 0:41:40]: Okay, this is for thirty-five thousand. [0:41:40, 0:41:41]: Yes, ma'am. [0:41:41, 0:41:45]: Okay. This is not one of those automatic renewal contracts. [0:41:45, 0:41:48]: No ma'am, it comes before you every year because. [0:41:49, 0:41:55]: F uh the budget amount typically exceeds the city manager's signing authority and this is a yearly renewal. [0:41:57, 0:41:57]: Okay. [0:41:58, 0:42:00]: I wanna ask really quick. [0:42:00, 0:42:01]: There are Wiggins. [0:42:02, 0:42:04]: And Mr. Gardner, I don't see Mr. Berry here. [0:42:05, 0:42:08]: But I'm curious, now they review this contract. [0:42:09, 0:42:12]: I'm just looking at the agenda request form and I don't see [0:42:12, 0:42:13]: You think we need it? [0:42:15, 0:42:16]: Mr. Wiggins. [0:42:16, 0:42:19]: I'm not sure if uh Mr. Berry's uh [0:42:20, 0:42:23]: reviewed his contract. I don't I don't think it's one of these contracts. [0:42:24, 0:42:26]: uh that has come before him. [0:42:27, 0:42:27]: Um [0:42:28, 0:42:30]: I think this is just a uh [0:42:30, 0:42:32]: It's almost like uh uh operations. [0:42:33, 0:42:34]: For public works. [0:42:35, 0:42:35]: So [0:42:36, 0:42:41]: Normally if it was uh up under the city manager, they would go ahead and do it. But since it's over [0:42:42, 0:42:45]: The city manager, this type of operating budget is uh [0:42:45, 0:42:47]: It just needs your uh uh [0:42:47, 0:42:49]: The city council's approval. [0:42:50, 0:42:52]: No, but we always need legal. [0:42:53, 0:42:54]: Ado. [0:42:55, 0:42:55]: That's all. [0:42:58, 0:42:59]: All right, any other comments from the council? [0:43:01, 0:43:06]: Motion was made and seconded. So all all members if if you approve this, please indicate [0:43:08, 0:43:08]: One [0:43:09, 0:43:10]: Two, three. [0:43:10, 0:43:11]: Miss Barber? [0:43:13, 0:43:13]: I'm sorry. [0:43:14, 0:43:20]: I'll abstain only because um four zero one thank you haven't information just yet. [0:43:21, 0:43:21]: Sorry. [0:43:22, 0:43:25]: All right. Four zero one motion. Thank you, Mayor. Thank you. Welcome, sir. [0:43:26, 0:43:31]: The public works uh department is requesting the city council approval to renew a term contract. [0:43:31, 0:43:47]: For with contract number two thousand one nine two zero one nine-zero zero zero twenty-two P facility maintenance solutions groundkeeper landscaper between uh CGL facilities management LLC and the city of Stockbridge an amount of three hundred thousand. [0:43:48, 0:43:49]: Three hundred thousand dollars. [0:43:49, 0:43:53]: The funding source is a public works budget presented by Mr. Aaron, please. [0:43:53, 0:44:04]: Yes, Ms. Mayor and Council. Staff is coming back, coming tonight to ask the city to renew the contract with CGL. I think a month or so ago, you approved the budget amount. [0:44:05, 0:44:06]: For this uh [0:44:07, 0:44:08]: Contract uh [0:44:08, 0:44:16]: to go ahead with the budget, which was$300,000. So we just ask you to approve the renewal of the contract. [0:44:16, 0:44:18]: For the right-of-way maintenance. [0:44:19, 0:44:19]: Okay. [0:44:20, 0:44:22]: Council questions and concerns you may have. [0:44:23, 0:44:24]: Miss Barber, go ahead, please. [0:44:25, 0:44:29]: Yes. Um in comparison to last year. [0:44:30, 0:44:32]: Has there been an increase in the cost? [0:44:33, 0:44:37]: Well, that there's increase because of materials and fuel and [0:44:38, 0:44:40]: increases and things like that. [0:44:40, 0:44:43]: That the nine point six percent that's showing. [0:44:43, 0:44:48]: Yeah. But but also we took into account that during the last service deliveries. [0:44:49, 0:44:49]: Agreement. [0:44:50, 0:44:57]: with the county that we uh receive some roles that we hadn't normally been maintaining. So those are gonna be included as well. [0:44:57, 0:45:03]: Okay, but as it pertains to the m material cost and labor cost. [0:45:05, 0:45:08]: What's the difference between last year and this year? I just want to compare this. [0:45:09, 0:45:12]: Well, right now there's some um [0:45:12, 0:45:18]: conversation between Ms. Miller and N CGL because the state hasn't officially [0:45:19, 0:45:28]: approve the increase amount. So we're still operating on last year's contract amount until the state determines if they can increase their pricing. [0:45:31, 0:45:31]: Thank you. [0:45:33, 0:45:34]: Any other questions from the council? [0:45:37, 0:45:39]: Okay, if there's no other questions, is there a motion to accept this proposal? [0:45:40, 0:45:45]: We're piggybacking off of a state contract with this, correct? Yes, ma'am. [0:45:45, 0:45:46]: Yes, I have. [0:45:49, 0:45:51]: So a motion to approve this proposal. [0:45:53, 0:45:58]: Uh well y yes. So okay m mr Mr. Alexander, Ms. Gantt, you second that motion? [0:45:59, 0:46:05]: Yes. Okay, good. Any further discussion? And if not, all in favor, please indicate. [0:46:06, 0:46:10]: It's uh look unanous decision. Thank you very much. Thank you, Mr. Aaron. [0:46:11, 0:46:12]: Thank you, Mr. Mayor and Council. [0:46:13, 0:46:33]: Public Works Department is requesting City Council's approval to piggyback on contract for Unifirst, Sourcewell, RFP number 040920, City of Stockbridge contract number 2020-0027P for uniforms and related products and services through May 2024. [0:46:33, 0:46:40]: for the annual amount of thirty thousand dollars. The funds will be provided from the accountant numbers. [0:46:40, 0:46:46]: One hundred dash four two two zero zero dash five three one seven five zero. [0:46:46, 0:46:51]: Five oh five dash four three three zero zero dash [0:46:52, 0:46:56]: Five three one seven uh one seven five zero. [0:46:56, 0:47:01]: Then on to five oh five dash four four two zero zero dash five three one seven five zero. [0:47:02, 0:47:07]: comma five one zero dash four two five zero zero dash five three one [0:47:08, 0:47:14]: Seven five zero, comma, five, five, five, dash, one, five, six, five, six, five, zero. One hundred dash one five six five zero dash five three one seven. [0:47:51, 0:47:52]: Five zero. [0:47:52, 0:48:11]: in the FY 2022 and FY23 but 2023 budgets presented by Mr. Aaron. Go ahead sir please. Yes, Mr. Mayor and Council. This is for approval of the uniform contracts for the public staff and event staff. And it also includes mats and rugs at City Hall and assorted city buildings. [0:48:13, 0:48:15]: Mr. Blount, go ahead, please. [0:48:15, 0:48:27]: Mayor, unless there's any questions from uh there's any questions from the council. I'd like to I do have a question. There's some questions there, sir. It seems like Mr. I I got hold on, Mr. Mayor Potem. Council I'm in Nile Zan, go ahead, please. [0:48:27, 0:48:35]: Yeah, the one thing that I want to understand is uh as we're moving forward and we're doing the rebranding with the new brand for the city. [0:48:36, 0:48:52]: And then with the new slogo and uh are these old uniforms that we're ordering, or we're looking at uh doing something new and uh and falling in line with the new branding for the city, uh where community connects, uh the new colors, the new logo. [0:48:52, 0:48:58]: because uh that that would seem to be appropriate at this point instead of ordering old uniforms. [0:49:00, 0:49:02]: Well, these uniforms don't have [0:49:03, 0:49:16]: at the moment don't have the logo on maybe a few of them but they typically have a a person's name and on one side and the city of Stockbridge on the other side. If we wanted to incorporate the city's logo we can meet with the vendor and [0:49:16, 0:49:18]: And request that. [0:49:18, 0:49:21]: Well well that's what I would suggest that you do. [0:49:21, 0:49:41]: Is that you bring it back to us and then uh you know, because as we go forward, we want that we want everybody out there marketing the brand appropriately. So when somebody sees a public works person, we want them consistent in seeing the same logo as on the amphitheater or the new police department. So how much time do you think that would take? [0:49:42, 0:49:49]: I have the the vendor normally comes on Thursday, so he'll be here the uh this Thursday. I'll have that conversation with him. [0:49:50, 0:49:51]: Okay, with that. [0:49:51, 0:49:51]: Okay. [0:49:52, 0:49:58]: Go ahead. And I'll and I'll r respond to Mr. Gardner as to the time frame to get those switched over. [0:49:58, 0:50:03]: Well, that's my thought. I don't know about the rest of the council. I think we need to do that. Yeah. [0:50:03, 0:50:12]: 'Cause some of most of them too are polo shirts and they just have City of Stock Bridge on them. They don't have a logo, so we'll we'll request that. [0:50:13, 0:50:14]: Yeah, we want to do better. Thanks. [0:50:15, 0:50:15]: Nice. [0:50:16, 0:50:18]: Air Pro Town, please, go ahead. [0:50:18, 0:50:22]: Uh Mr. Aaron, I know we mentioned here um [0:50:22, 0:50:25]: These budget line items. [0:50:26, 0:50:30]: Uh can you recall the amount that's [0:50:31, 0:50:36]: in the budget for uniform and you you mentioned here several items. [0:50:36, 0:50:40]: Um, do you have a rough estimate of [0:50:40, 0:50:43]: And it for the twenty twenty-two budget. [0:50:44, 0:50:46]: that total amount and and I guess [0:50:48, 0:50:50]: I I I'm assuming [0:50:50, 0:50:59]: The this category is something that we always approve every year. I know we haven't got to the 2023. [0:51:00, 0:51:03]: All the twenty twenty four budget, but [0:51:03, 0:51:06]: Uh give us an idea of what's [0:51:07, 0:51:09]: Just for twenty twenty two. [0:51:10, 0:51:13]: Uh just roughly how much was approved. [0:51:14, 0:51:17]: uh for uniforms in that 2022 budget. [0:51:18, 0:51:30]: The each division in public works has a line item for uniforms, water has a line item, sewer, storm, water, sanitation, government buildings, general maintenance, and events, events as well has a line item. [0:51:31, 0:51:49]: for our uniforms and the cost is based on the number of employees in that division. Uh general maintenance would have the largest uniform cost because they have the largest number of employees. So they're probably at about$10,000,$12,000. Then next would be the sewer department, then water department. [0:51:49, 0:51:55]: then events would be a smaller cost. I don't know what that budget is, but it is included in this. [0:51:55, 0:51:59]: this cost because they've got two employees. [0:51:59, 0:52:00]: Sorry. [0:52:00, 0:52:01]: I'm sorry. [0:52:01, 0:52:08]: is based on the number of employees, but general maintenance has the largest uh share of the expense for uniforms. [0:52:09, 0:52:25]: So these line item numbers, uh, they consist they consist of um a number of departments. Uh I believe that's that's what you say. So all of these numbers here, they they vary through the various departments. [0:52:26, 0:52:33]: Yes, so based on the number of employees, each employee gets 11 uniforms and they get a jacket for the winner. [0:52:33, 0:52:43]: So that's part of the uh uniform agreement and plus some of the rubs you see in in City Hall, the mats you wipe your feet on when you come in the door, that's a part of the uniforms as well. [0:52:44, 0:52:52]: So if if so if I go back and look at these numbers, then I'll be able to see uh exactly what department uh it's it's coming out of. [0:52:53, 0:52:54]: Yeah. Okay. [0:52:55, 0:53:01]: If you need a breakdown, we have a spreadsheet for the public works. We don't have it for [0:53:01, 0:53:21]: uh the event staff as they're not a part of public works, but for each uh division within public works, we can get you those figures for what it costs for uniforms. Okay, no, no problem. I'm just out of curious, uh all of the numbers that you mentioned, I I I just wanted to hear you say that they were from the different departments [0:53:21, 0:53:33]: departments. So it's just uh information, just knowledge that I I just like to know about the budget. And when you start throwing out these uh line items, uh you answered my question as far as [0:53:33, 0:53:38]: they come from a number of departments. So that's just the information I needed to know. [0:53:39, 0:53:40]: All right. Thank you, sir. [0:53:40, 0:53:42]: Mr. Blount, go ahead, please. [0:53:44, 0:53:48]: In re in respect to the request by Mr. Alexander. [0:53:48, 0:54:08]: um on a motion would you be willing for us to go ahead motion to agree with this and then if the amount exceeds the purview of the city manager then it would come back to us that way if it doesn't these items can be approved through the city city that that portion can be approved through the city manager and it can go on forward and what [0:54:08, 0:54:11]: would have to come back to us. Are you amenable to that, Ms. Allison? [0:54:11, 0:54:11]: No. [0:54:12, 0:54:18]: I I I I think that they might be okay, but wouldn't we wanna see them to see what they look like? [0:54:19, 0:54:23]: I don't know. Maybe y'all don't do that. I'm assuming it would be the city's logo. [0:54:24, 0:54:29]: And and the names on the suits and their names in the city logo like we do on our shirts. [0:54:31, 0:54:37]: Mr. Gardner has his hand up. What is he saying? Well, yeah, I mean he could uh but go go ahead, Mr. Gardner. [0:54:37, 0:54:39]: Yes, yes, sir. Um [0:54:40, 0:54:48]: The the process already allows for that council member Blount that once you approve this and then we go back and have [0:54:48, 0:54:50]: The um [0:54:50, 0:54:56]: Consultants um add the city's uh current logo, which um council member [0:54:56, 0:55:01]: Alexander makes a lot of sense that you know, we start showing showing our new branding. [0:55:01, 0:55:06]: And it should be throughout not all vehicles and on our shirts and and and uniforms. Um [0:55:07, 0:55:27]: You know, if that process, like any other process, once it's approved and we go ahead, we got the contract to add any addition, if that exceeds the 25,000, yes, we will bring that back. That's the normal process that we have in place. So it doesn't have to be part of the motion. That's just that's our normal operating procedure. That if it comes in at$10,000. [0:55:27, 0:55:32]: dollars, I can sign that to make sure that moves forward as long as we have the funds and the budget to to cover it. [0:55:33, 0:55:53]: Yeah, but uh but because I the I I was here to bring it back and I think your amount is twenty five thousand uh that that's correct. Yeah, if it exceeds that then it automatically comes back to you guys. Yeah, but uh I'm saying that w if we could go ahead and approve it tonight and let it go through the process and if it needs to come back to us, we'll allow it to come back to us. But I like if we can just go ahead and approve it tonight if that's [0:55:53, 0:56:13]: Okay with uh discount. Yeah, yeah. I mean what I was saying was that our normal procurement procedure would allow for me to assign anything and to assign off on anything under the 25. So that's normal. It doesn't have to be part of the motion. That's just part of our normal operating procedures. But if it does, we'll bring it back. If it falls under that, we'll bring it down and [0:56:12, 0:56:20]: It's gonna be the same logo, whether it's the S and the and the and the sloops underneath and then the employee's name. [0:56:20, 0:56:23]: I mean, it's gonna be existing logos, not gonna be anything we change. [0:56:23, 0:56:26]: Well I would I would like to motion to approve the uh [0:56:26, 0:56:32]: The thirty thousand dollars with the contingency that was set forth to uh for the approval for the logo. [0:56:33, 0:56:37]: A second. All right. Ms. Barber, you had a question. [0:56:39, 0:56:43]: Okay, so what is before us is a proposal. [0:56:43, 0:56:46]: This proposal is for two years. [0:56:46, 0:56:49]: And I'm looking at the pricing structure and it talks about a [0:56:50, 0:56:56]: five year contract term commitment, a four-year contract term commitment, and a three-year contract term. [0:56:56, 0:56:57]: Commitment. [0:56:58, 0:57:00]: I don't see a breakdown of what [0:57:01, 0:57:03]: those costs are and I'm sure [0:57:03, 0:57:04]: The longer the term. [0:57:05, 0:57:06]: Maybe the less. [0:57:06, 0:57:07]: We [0:57:08, 0:57:08]: Span. [0:57:10, 0:57:11]: But I'll have a breakdown of that. [0:57:13, 0:57:14]: Can anybody [0:57:14, 0:57:17]: Answer that question. Mr. Aaron, could you have that, sir? [0:57:18, 0:57:30]: That would have to come from procurement. Procurement gave us the the information to upload for the agenda, but I know over the last two years we haven't had an increase in the uniform costs. [0:57:31, 0:57:37]: But this is a proposal for a two year agreement. Well, we can strike the [0:57:37, 0:57:45]: We can strike out 2023. I don't know. And we go with the current year and we'll revisit that next year. [0:57:47, 0:57:49]: Because twenty twenty three is not here yet. [0:57:50, 0:57:54]: Well, n what is before us, you're asking. [0:57:54, 0:57:56]: For us to approve. [0:57:57, 0:57:58]: This two year. [0:57:58, 0:57:59]: Proposal. [0:58:02, 0:58:02]: Yeah. [0:58:04, 0:58:10]: My well stand by stand by first. Uh Ms. Barb okay. Mr. Garner, go ahead, please. [0:58:10, 0:58:20]: Uh council member Baba, I mean, if if you look at what's happening now with everything going up, I think if we lock the price in for the next two years at the 30, um [0:58:21, 0:58:27]: That might actually save us versus having to come back and if if we're in in a worse um [0:58:27, 0:58:41]: uh inflationary period, you're gonna see that cost go up. So we s if we lock in at this cost, it might be in our best interest versus trying to get it to see what what it'll be again next year. And if it goes up, then we're having to change the budget versus [0:58:42, 0:58:46]: Versus us having a static cost over the next two years and then hopefully by twenty twenty three. [0:58:47, 0:58:48]: Twenty twenty four. [0:58:48, 0:59:00]: You know, we're in a better economic situation and and the prices will go down. And obviously, hopefully then we get a reduce in price or the price stays the same. But with the way things are going, with costs going up, with materials and so forth and so on. [0:59:00, 0:59:08]: It might be in our best interest to lock at the price that we are in s in light of the fact that Desh has just said that we haven't had any increase so far. [0:59:09, 0:59:12]: You know that there's gonna be an increase coming somewhere. [0:59:12, 0:59:16]: Um just because of headlight, everything we're doing, yeah. [0:59:16, 0:59:22]: You're thinking hypothetical and I don't have any well in front of me. [0:59:22, 0:59:30]: What when you say financials, um, what do you mean like how much the rugs cost versus how much each of the uniform costs, that type of breakdown? [0:59:31, 0:59:33]: Based on two year [0:59:33, 0:59:38]: Three year, four year, five year, as this proposal suggests. [0:59:38, 0:59:41]: I can't see it, I can't compare. [0:59:44, 0:59:46]: See any breakdowns for that? [0:59:48, 0:59:49]: Unless I'm overlooking it. [0:59:50, 0:59:51]: Mr. Wigan. [0:59:52, 0:59:53]: Are you able to? [0:59:54, 0:59:55]: Next boy. [0:59:59, 1:00:05]: No no I can't I I I need to um I don't have those documents in front of me, but um [1:00:05, 1:00:06]: Yeah. [1:00:07, 1:00:10]: I I think what what what um Desha was was trying to do [1:00:11, 1:00:12]: Was uh with the two year [1:00:13, 1:00:15]: Is it's like what Fred says, trying to lock in. [1:00:16, 1:00:18]: And get those prices. I think um [1:00:19, 1:00:22]: And this is right. We have it the the uniform cost is not [1:00:22, 1:00:25]: Gone up in the past two years and [1:00:25, 1:00:29]: If we can keep it at thirty thousand the way that he's been spending. [1:00:30, 1:00:37]: Because each of each of the um the accounts for the next for the past two years has been basically 30,000 each year. [1:00:37, 1:00:39]: And that's including the rugs and everything. [1:00:43, 1:00:50]: But if we would need to uh take that and break it down, I think that'd be part of uh what we need to get back to you with. [1:00:51, 1:00:53]: We can break it down and put the cost next to them. [1:00:57, 1:00:59]: All right, uh Mr. Blount, do you have some additional questions? [1:01:00, 1:01:15]: Um for me, I just I think what was been stated here even by our city manager that this is a price that we pay annually and to lock that price in for two more years would be advantageous for us as a city, I believe. So [1:01:15, 1:01:25]: I think my my motions would stand that we would um stick with this for the as it is written for the two years or pertain to the contract now. So that's my motion. [1:01:25, 1:01:28]: Sir. Uh yeah, go ahead, Mr. Alzheimer. [1:01:28, 1:01:35]: Yeah, this is what I want clarification on. It sounds very reasonable in terms of uh locking in the price and everything. [1:01:35, 1:01:40]: But what I'm looking at is I want the city manager to understand what the directive is, Mr. Gardner. [1:01:42, 1:02:02]: Is that the directive would be to uh have it and to review it uh with the newest, latest uh city uh logo and marketing material. As well as I certainly myself, I would like to see them wear the same type, some of the shirts that we wear, especially in the summertime, like the dry fit shirts. [1:02:02, 1:02:13]: uh instead of what I've been seeing them wear in the past. So if it's good enough for us, it's certainly good enough for them working out in the elements, that type of thing. So it's a nicer uh overall appearance. [1:02:13, 1:02:25]: But but but I also want you to understand too that you know dry fit when you're working in the rugged conditions, you might not work. And so the reason why you might see the hard cotton versus the dry fit is [1:02:25, 1:02:25]: You know. [1:02:26, 1:02:36]: the issue of of of um longevity in on those shirts. Um that's why the material might be a little bit more tougher because they're out in the elements every day. [1:02:36, 1:02:56]: And they're wearing these uniforms back to back to back and getting them clean and come back. So you you don't want to, you know, for us, we wear it one time occasion. We don't really well, I'll speak for myself because I when the summer comes, I'm in a polo shirt. So we'll definitely look at that um in light of you know where these guys are working and how that how you know how the material would hold up. [1:02:56, 1:03:09]: That's a conversation Des just can have with the vendor to make sure that we get the best aerated type shirts, you know, and the ones that are rugged as well to the hold up with these guys' working conditions. Okay, we'll leave that up to you. And then we'll leave it. Thank you, sir. [1:03:10, 1:03:11]: Thank you. [1:03:11, 1:03:19]: All right, so motion's been made, been seconded. If there's no more other no other comments, I'd like to ask for the approval of this motion. All in favor, please indicate. [1:03:20, 1:03:25]: Okay. Um okay and Miss Barber, your vote your vote. [1:03:25, 1:03:30]: Well abstain. I for the record I don't have enough information. [1:03:31, 1:03:33]: Okay, four zero one motion pass. [1:03:33, 1:03:50]: Okay. Council could thank you, Mr. Aaron. Uh Council consideration to amend the state office of planning a budget OPM officials for the ARPA funding to Frederick Gardner as designee and Kelly Russell, administrative point of contact, presented by Mr. Gardner himself. Sir, please. [1:03:52, 1:03:53]: Already um [1:03:53, 1:04:13]: Uh May and Council, in keeping with with what we see from and the requirements under the federal guidelines for our ARPA funds, um moving forward, um, we'd love to have the the city managers, the signature and and obviously the backup is our grant administrator who will be working on a typical day-to-day basis with any grant all. [1:04:14, 1:04:15]: Um [1:04:15, 1:04:17]: And reviewing all those grants applications. So [1:04:17, 1:04:22]: Um very easy lift. Um, we're asking to make sure that uh we're the signatures moving forward. [1:04:24, 1:04:24]: Oh bad. [1:04:25, 1:04:26]: All right. Any questions, Council? [1:04:27, 1:04:29]: M Mr Mayor Potem, go ahead, please. [1:04:32, 1:04:33]: Let me get off. [1:04:38, 1:04:39]: It's still muted, sir. [1:04:40, 1:04:40]: Still muted. [1:04:43, 1:04:52]: Okay. Um not necessarily a question. I know uh uh Mrs. Russell is here. I know uh I heard [1:04:53, 1:04:56]: that she was high I I just wanted to hear her voice. [1:04:59, 1:05:01]: I just want her to say something. Yeah. [1:05:02, 1:05:03]: Hi mere pro temp [1:05:04, 1:05:08]: Good evening, Mayor Honorable Mayor Ann City County Council. [1:05:11, 1:05:11]: It ain't [1:05:12, 1:05:32]: I guess you want you to expound on something there, Ms. Russell. Well, well, let me just say this, you know, we're excited about the opportunities uh for grant opportunities. And I just wanted to sort of I'm looking for some enthusiasm, you know, to you know, so I I just wanted to sort of you to speak that's I'm being a little facetious, but uh [1:05:32, 1:05:33]: Um [1:05:33, 1:05:36]: Looking for a little enthusiasm as far as uh [1:05:37, 1:05:46]: you know, uh going forward. That's all. Oh yes, absolutely. Um, as I've mentioned in the last council meeting, I'm very excited to be on board. [1:05:47, 1:05:55]: What I've been trying to focus on is um developing our foundation to accept grants and manage grants in compliance with federal regulations. [1:05:55, 1:06:01]: And so part of that is what you have before you today, just making sure that we have all of our ducks in a row. [1:06:01, 1:06:05]: Um as we move forward so that the pertinent personnel can receive the [1:06:05, 1:06:12]: notifications and communications from the state as well as the federal government and we can be responsive in a timely fashion. [1:06:12, 1:06:13]: So [1:06:13, 1:06:18]: Yeah, I have a a slew of things before me to work on, trying to prioritize and [1:06:18, 1:06:19]: Um [1:06:19, 1:06:23]: give the best impact, you know, immediately, but strategically. [1:06:24, 1:06:28]: Yeah. Well we we know you spoke at at the last meeting, but you know, um [1:06:29, 1:06:49]: We just i i just want to be real proactive. I want you to come to us and say, hey council, hey, I got this going. Next month, council, hey, I got this going. So I'm just saying we're excited about the opportunities. And so and I'm I'm just looking forward for you to be constantly uh giving us all that good information. [1:06:49, 1:06:55]: and uh turning over all of those rocks, finding all of those funding. So that's it pretty much. [1:06:55, 1:06:57]: Trails, trails, trails. [1:06:57, 1:06:58]: Thank you. [1:06:58, 1:07:01]: Okay. Mr. Blount, go ahead, please. [1:07:01, 1:07:10]: Mayor, I'd like for us to go ahead and uh we have an item on on hand here. I'd like for us to go ahead and approve the amendment of the state planning and budget. Um [1:07:11, 1:07:15]: For the officials of opera funding and uh having Miss Um Russell as a point of contact. [1:07:16, 1:07:18]: Okay, is there a second to the motion? [1:07:19, 1:07:29]: My second. Ms. Kant seconds that. Okay. Any further discussion? And if not, all in favor of motion, please indicate. Okay. Unanimous decision. Fantastic. Thank you. [1:07:32, 1:07:50]: Council consideration to approve request for proposal, RFP number 201508-02, Sanitation Collection Services, Contract Renewal, Waste Industries, Atlanta LLC, GFL Environmental, presented by Mr. Aaron and Miss Miller. Is Ms. Miller online? [1:07:52, 1:08:11]: I guess uh she's not, I guess uh she's not. She's not there. Okay, so that's gonna be Mr. Aaron. I would imagine you, Mr. Wiggins, would be assisting this process. Go ahead, gentlemen, please. Yes, Mr. Mayor and Council. We're coming before you tonight to renew the contract with uh GFL for the residential garbage collection for the city of Stockbridge. [1:08:14, 1:08:15]: All right, any further? [1:08:15, 1:08:19]: It anything else, sir? That's that's it? Okay, Mayor Pro Tem, you got a question, sir? [1:08:20, 1:08:20]: Well [1:08:22, 1:08:27]: This service to the city and to the community. [1:08:27, 1:08:30]: You know, I get a lot of calls. [1:08:30, 1:08:35]: And I'm I'm just a little concerned. I'm reading here and I'm looking at [1:08:35, 1:08:36]: Um [1:08:36, 1:08:40]: I I guess a a five year an automatic five year contract. [1:08:42, 1:08:45]: And I'm I'm trying to find my question. [1:08:45, 1:08:49]: I'm a little I'm a you know, I know um [1:08:50, 1:08:52]: Some of the service is great. [1:08:52, 1:08:58]: Uh but I get so much feedback and you know we talked before about the commercial aspect of it. [1:08:59, 1:09:04]: And I know, you know, we're talking about improving, we're talking about growing. [1:09:05, 1:09:10]: And I'm just a little concerned. I I just want to make sure that we are proactively [1:09:11, 1:09:13]: Improven [1:09:13, 1:09:18]: um this particular service that we provide to the community. [1:09:18, 1:09:28]: I I I get a lot of um grumblings and I just found out recently and that, you know, citizen didn't understand that um carpet [1:09:29, 1:09:33]: Is not uh an item that they actually pick up. [1:09:33, 1:09:37]: So, you know, it's just a lot of disinformation. [1:09:38, 1:09:40]: Uh when it comes to the um [1:09:41, 1:09:45]: uh the the cutting of the tree limbs [1:09:45, 1:09:55]: And I I don't know how we can fix it. I know when I spoke to Mrs. Isaac a number of times, he shared this information all the time. And I don't know exactly um [1:09:56, 1:09:58]: What we can do, Mr. Aaron. [1:09:58, 1:10:03]: uh to try to fix some of that. You know, I'm okay with extending this, but I just think we have to [1:10:04, 1:10:17]: look at how we can improve. I think we got to have some conversations to see how we can uh improve or tweak some of the things that we're doing because you know this service is so vital. [1:10:18, 1:10:25]: uh to the communities and i don't want to take it too light i want us just to come in and say okay we're gonna you know do another contract without [1:10:25, 1:10:33]: Looking at the possibilities of how we can improve the services and having this conversation with GFL to make sure that. [1:10:33, 1:10:35]: Um we're sort of [1:10:35, 1:10:38]: Going forward, you know, to try to improve. [1:10:39, 1:10:42]: Uh and all of that and I alluded to [1:10:42, 1:10:45]: um you know the the the commercial end of it so [1:10:45, 1:10:46]: Uh [1:10:47, 1:10:50]: Mr. Aaron, does that is that anything you just want to say on that end? [1:10:51, 1:11:11]: Uh yes, I've had that conversation with with Ms. Miller about the commercial and and it involves a lot more detail than just saying we're going to get the commercial because there's uh concerns of where you're gonna take it. Would you take it to the transfer station? You probably get a different rate versus taking it directly to the landfill. And in reference to [1:11:11, 1:11:31]: Carpet and yard waste, those things are pretty much industry-wide from city to city. Reason why they don't take carpet because carpet can't go into regular landfill. It has to go into construction and demolition landfill. And also carpet is it's a big issue for equipment to get caught up in the in the tractors and [1:11:31, 1:11:41]: things like that. So that's why they don't take carpet because it has to go to that construction and demolition landfill because the state will not allow them to put it in a regular [1:11:41, 1:11:43]: Санітарі муніципол [1:11:43, 1:11:56]: landfill. And as far as the tree branches and limbs, the dimensions they're cut into, that's pretty much industry standard throughout the United States. It's not some arbitrary number they came up with, but that's pretty much [1:11:57, 1:12:02]: everywhere you go. And we understand some of the issues we've had with GFL. And one of the things we did [1:12:03, 1:12:08]: get implemented where the residents can go online and schedule buck and yard waste pickup. [1:12:08, 1:12:28]: And I just think right now, during the times I I live in Macon and we've switched providers. We had an issue with our provider not being picking up services and things like that. We're into our fourth, third month with the new provider and we still haven't hiccups. The old provider hasn't come and picked up their cart. So now they're asking people. [1:12:28, 1:12:39]: you bring your carts in and turn them in. So it's been a big headache for us. We realize there's been some hiccups with COVID related and also with some other issues, but I think we're working through those. [1:12:39, 1:12:59]: And if commercial is an item that the city wants to pursue, then we can pursue that as well. If that means issuing out a new RFP, we'll do that as well. But I think we need to do our due diligence to see what uh providing commercial services to our customers is gonna entail, because some people might get upset because now you only got one. [1:12:59, 1:13:05]: one provider, so I can't shop for the best rate. I'm locked into whatever that provider offers. So [1:13:06, 1:13:26]: Staff is ready to do whatever city is requiring us to do. If they want to pursue commercial, then we'll address that issue as well. Well, let me let me just piggyback off of something you said. And I know Mr. Isaac has attempted to inform citizens that they do have to call in for buck to be picked up. [1:13:26, 1:13:26]: Yeah. [1:13:26, 1:13:39]: Everyone, I guess when it comes to going online, that may be a problem. And from what I see, now I don't see all neighborhood, but I see stuff just piling up on the street. [1:13:39, 1:13:42]: And some households just assume [1:13:42, 1:13:45]: that they're going to just come by and pick it up. [1:13:45, 1:13:47]: How can we improve? [1:13:48, 1:13:49]: Uh [1:13:49, 1:13:51]: That process of [1:13:51, 1:13:53]: Uh notifying [1:13:54, 1:14:05]: that you know uh uh uh a homeowner has uh uh buck to be picked up how can we approve point of order mayor what what what what's what's wrong what's the point of order [1:14:05, 1:14:11]: The the the point of art is we're not talking about the process of GFAL. That's not what's on the agenda today. [1:14:12, 1:14:16]: Tonight is we're gonna renew their contract that we already have current. [1:14:16, 1:14:23]: This is not the the procedures that GFL goes through is not on the agenda, how we're going to modify. [1:14:24, 1:14:27]: their services is aren't we going to continue their services? [1:14:28, 1:14:48]: Mr. Mayor, if we want to add a discussion, hold on. We want to add a discussion on modification of services. That's a totally different conversation. Okay. I appreciate that. Are we going to continue the services or not? That's what's on the agenda. I appreciate that. Mr. Mayor. Mayor Protell. Go ahead, Mayor Protell. I heard you uh council. [1:14:47, 1:14:52]: Mira Proten, go ahead, please. How can you approve [1:14:52, 1:14:53]: Of a contract. [1:14:54, 1:14:59]: That's about service without discussing service. [1:15:00, 1:15:03]: I I don't get that. So are we talking about service? [1:15:05, 1:15:08]: Go ahead, sir. Go ahead with the contract that provides service to the community. [1:15:10, 1:15:21]: Isn't that what we're talking about? Yeah, yeah, sir. Go ahead. What's your uh conversation, please? So so I I just want us all to speak to that. Um, and and there's a concern. See this whole [1:15:21, 1:15:27]: business about point of order this and that i'm about making sure that the citizens [1:15:27, 1:15:34]: Get the services that they need. So when these items come on the agenda and we're talking about service. [1:15:35, 1:15:36]: Approving a contract. [1:15:37, 1:15:39]: Да провай сервіс. [1:15:40, 1:15:44]: to the community, we have to do our due diligence. [1:15:44, 1:15:50]: To make sure before we get into just giving someone a contract. [1:15:50, 1:15:53]: So the service is up to par. [1:15:55, 1:15:56]: That's the point I'm trying to make. [1:15:58, 1:16:00]: Anything anything else, sir? [1:16:02, 1:16:02]: Okay. [1:16:02, 1:16:05]: Um Mr. Gardner, please go ahead. [1:16:05, 1:16:18]: Yes. Uh Mayor Pro Cham, um you're exactly right. One one of the things we can do, um, part of this process with GFL is how do we provide for educational opportunities for residents to know what [1:16:19, 1:16:33]: you know, what the services are, how how do those services break down? That's an educational platform that I think we need to look at to discuss. And, you know, not just everybody on the on the on the internet, because we know that all residents aren't on the internet. [1:16:34, 1:16:41]: But being able to provide um flyers, pamphlets, um, door knockers, or even um [1:16:41, 1:16:44]: Uh the magnets that we you know used to put on your [1:16:44, 1:16:46]: on on your on your refrigerator. [1:16:47, 1:17:07]: Um, and then you know, especially when we have when you guys are having town hall meetings, you know, add add something like that to the agenda where we can start talking to citizens about you know what the services are, what the requirements are. Um, and it's just an educational issue. And I think we we're well within our purview to be able to to to [1:17:07, 1:17:27]: effectuate a good educational program in conjunction with with GFL to um to make that happen. So I think that's what you're saying is important. I mean we had to do the same thing um with our sanitation department and at my last jurisdiction. And a lot of that was education. And when we go out in the community, we talk exactly about those [1:17:27, 1:17:40]: and hand out hot hand out flyers and door knockers and all of that stuff for folks to be able to have are they ready when they need to understand, you know, if they have a bulk pickup, what that issue is, if they have limbs, how those limbs should be configured. [1:17:40, 1:17:50]: um and you know why we don't you know we don't pick up carpet and and what the reasons are and how do how do you treat carpet. Um so definitely that's just an educational platform. [1:17:50, 1:17:52]: And I think that's something we can do. [1:17:53, 1:17:58]: Uh m Mr. Biden, I really appreciate that. But in closing, let me just say this for for this council. [1:18:00, 1:18:02]: We're about providing [1:18:02, 1:18:05]: The best services we can. [1:18:06, 1:18:07]: Uh to our citizen. [1:18:08, 1:18:12]: Any future residents that's coming into our city. [1:18:12, 1:18:19]: We have to be about providing those services. I'm not here to sign a contract yet to say I sign a contract. [1:18:20, 1:18:38]: I'm about trying to deliver the best services that we can as a municipality. Well, Mr. Gardner, I appreciate that. And I'm going to close with that. Um, but I just hope that we can sort of get with them and how can we make this a little easier for citizens to be able to um [1:18:39, 1:18:53]: you know, uh reach GFL and you know, get these things picked up, whether there's a phone number or what have you. But I I appreciate your comment, sir. Mayor, I yield back. Thank you. No problem. Ms. Hold on, please. Ms. Barber, you had your hand up earlier. [1:18:55, 1:18:57]: Thank you, Mayor. Um [1:18:57, 1:18:59]: Mr. Gartner, Mr. Wiggins. [1:19:00, 1:19:03]: This contract expired December 31st. [1:19:03, 1:19:04]: Twenty twenty one. [1:19:07, 1:19:08]: That's a question. [1:19:09, 1:19:13]: I'm reading the agenda request form and that's what it suggests. [1:19:16, 1:19:21]: Barber, I was informed by uh Ms. Miller that actually [1:19:22, 1:19:24]: The council and one of the city attorneys. [1:19:25, 1:19:30]: uh discuss this item and the expiration date is actually April the eleventh. [1:19:30, 1:19:33]: 2022. That was the information that was provided to me. [1:19:36, 1:19:37]: Right. [1:19:37, 1:19:41]: That might have been an attempt to try to get everything on the budget caliber. [1:19:43, 1:19:45]: But um it it is it expires in April. [1:19:50, 1:19:53]: Mr Washington, some well, I see that new attorney. [1:19:54, 1:20:01]: the city manager or finance manager. You didn't sign or staff recommendation form. So [1:20:02, 1:20:03]: I don't know what to think of it. [1:20:04, 1:20:08]: So Jeremy deals with the matters of procurement. Well go ahead, Ms. Connor. [1:20:10, 1:20:17]: I too share the same concerns as Mayor Pro Tin Thomas. I've gotten quite a few calls from residents. [1:20:17, 1:20:17]: Uh [1:20:18, 1:20:20]: Asking about the process to pick up [1:20:20, 1:20:21]: Lambs. [1:20:21, 1:20:22]: And other [1:20:23, 1:20:24]: Household. [1:20:25, 1:20:26]: Items and debris. [1:20:26, 1:20:30]: So we need to be able to express that here. Now. [1:20:30, 1:20:33]: If this contract truly is to expire. [1:20:33, 1:20:34]: In April [1:20:35, 1:20:37]: This has been a five year contract. [1:20:38, 1:20:39]: For mi [1:20:40, 1:20:41]: I do not support. [1:20:41, 1:20:45]: extending long-term contracts like this. [1:20:46, 1:20:49]: We would be extending it for another five years. [1:20:49, 1:20:50]: That means [1:20:51, 1:20:52]: This particular company [1:20:52, 1:20:54]: Will have a contract. [1:20:54, 1:20:56]: For ten years. [1:20:56, 1:20:57]: I do not agree with. [1:20:58, 1:20:59]: Extending that. [1:21:00, 1:21:00]: Um [1:21:01, 1:21:03]: But I still would like to know. [1:21:03, 1:21:06]: When does this contract truly expire? [1:21:06, 1:21:08]: I think we've discussed this particular contract. [1:21:09, 1:21:10]: At least. [1:21:10, 1:21:11]: Twice. [1:21:11, 1:21:16]: um that I'm aware of and I wanna know what the actual expiration date of it is. [1:21:17, 1:21:22]: And if in fact this contract was executed in twenty sixteen. [1:21:22, 1:21:25]: It expires April of this year. [1:21:27, 1:21:29]: That's what, six years? [1:21:30, 1:21:31]: I don't support extending it. [1:21:32, 1:21:34]: However, I know that it is services. [1:21:34, 1:21:35]: that we do need. [1:21:35, 1:21:39]: But I really want staff to um consider. [1:21:40, 1:21:43]: prior to these contracts nearing the expiration. [1:21:44, 1:21:46]: To consider [1:21:46, 1:21:48]: Perhaps rebidding. [1:21:48, 1:21:52]: So that we can compare cost and services. [1:21:52, 1:21:53]: But to just [1:21:54, 1:21:58]: Bring it and drop it in my lap just as it's expiring. You give me no choice. [1:21:58, 1:22:01]: Well, I have a choice and I'm gonna abstain. [1:22:02, 1:22:12]: Okay, Mr. Washington, uh you were called on earlier. I don't know know if you got a chance to finish your comment in reference to the inquiry about whether or not you had an opportunity to review this or not. [1:22:12, 1:22:19]: Yeah, this is the one that we've been going back and forth on that had been brought a couple of times. And Jeremy had Jeremy had reviewed it. [1:22:19, 1:22:26]: And the date the dates were wrong on it, but he's not available to come to the meeting. But this was a contract that had come before council before. [1:22:27, 1:22:31]: I think it was toward the end of the year and that's what I was trying to reach out to him about. [1:22:31, 1:22:33]: about this exact contract. [1:22:34, 1:22:44]: Okay. All right. Uh hopefully he'll get a chance to respond to you and maybe you can update us. Uh stand by Mr. Blount. Mr. Gardner, you had your hand up, sir. Go ahead, please. [1:22:44, 1:22:58]: Yes, and and stand by stand by go ahead, Mr. Buddha. Um council members, when when you do get complaints about the level of service or the quality of the service, you know, please let us know because we we need to share that information. [1:22:58, 1:23:18]: obviously with with with the with the contractor um and allow for us to actually keep a record and a score. That way when we get to the point of looking at renewing the service, we can say, hey, we've had X amount of complaints versus this vendor and the need for us to move forward and have some [1:23:18, 1:23:35]: something that's quantitative. Um and I and and I go back to what I was saying with my pro tem, you know. Somehow you you you muted Mr. Gardner, you muted. I don't know how that happened. There you go. Yeah um it's not showing on my side man. It's my you're good now we hear you. Oh okay. Um [1:23:35, 1:23:36]: As I was saying, you know. [1:23:37, 1:23:40]: We have to keep when you guys get complaints, let us know. [1:23:41, 1:23:55]: That way we can keep track of the complaints, the amount of complaints. So when we have to renew, we'll have those to review and make sure to be making an informed decision based on the number of data complaints we're getting. Also. [1:23:55, 1:23:56]: Um [1:23:56, 1:23:58]: I think once again, um [1:23:58, 1:24:18]: us providing educational opportunities, um, handouts and flies for our residents. So when they don't, when they do call you guys, we can immediately get that person's address and be able to to to ferret over the information to them. But once again, getting out into the community and telling folks, hey, this is what the service is and this is how the service is rendered to you. [1:24:18, 1:24:22]: Um that's an important part. Education is an important part. [1:24:22, 1:24:38]: Um and especially when we're getting if we get new residents come in, that is part of their whole billing situation with us, they get a phone, they get a a handout um that explains the service and the level of service to them. So that's something we can do and work with GFL. If GFL is who we go with. [1:24:38, 1:24:40]: Um, to make that happen. [1:24:41, 1:24:42]: What do you guys? [1:24:42, 1:24:44]: Oh go ahead. Mr. Aaron, you gonna say something, sir? [1:24:45, 1:25:05]: Uh just one thing, all new residents, new customers, they do get a mail out from public works stating what's collected, what's not collected, also their collection day if they have any questions or concerns. Because I take multiple calls daily, Ms. Norrisworthy as well, scheduling bulk and yard waste pickup. So if they can't get in touch. [1:25:04, 1:25:10]: with GFL city staff is here to take calls and put in those requests for residents as well. [1:25:11, 1:25:12]: Thank you. Mr. Blount, go ahead, please. [1:25:14, 1:25:17]: Yeah, let me let me clarify something really quick here. [1:25:18, 1:25:22]: I agree with uh um uh Mr. Thomas. [1:25:22, 1:25:33]: That we do need to let the citizens know we're concerned about their complaints and their their their uh complaints and their concerns when it comes to um their sanitation pickups. [1:25:34, 1:25:37]: But one of the things we have to also realize [1:25:37, 1:25:41]: On this call, on this Zoom, not one person is on here from GFL. [1:25:41, 1:25:54]: These are the times when we go behind closed doors and we sit down with our city manager and the powers to be, and we sit here and tell them the concerns of the citizens. And we come out here and tell the citizens, your concerns have been heard, and this is what we're going to do. [1:25:56, 1:25:58]: I agree with Councilwoman Barber. [1:25:58, 1:26:10]: Councilwoman Barber has continually asked for things early, has continually asked that we get contracts. We don't have another council meeting to April 14th. This contract expires. [1:26:11, 1:26:12]: uh eprent [1:26:13, 1:26:17]: So we have to make a decision tonight for the citizens for sanitation service. [1:26:18, 1:26:19]: Right now tonight. [1:26:20, 1:26:31]: And one of the things that concerns me about this whole process that we're continuing to go through and we see this paradigm of things operating a certain way, we've got to change the way we're operating. [1:26:31, 1:26:33]: There's a part of this contract that I read. [1:26:34, 1:26:42]: This contract was for five years, and Councilwoman Barber, I don't know if you know this, but it's it it's it's for renewal yearly after that. [1:26:42, 1:26:46]: If I'm wrong, Mr. Dacius, please correct me. If I'm wrong, Mr. Wiggins, please correct me. [1:26:46, 1:26:48]: So we're not renewing tonight. [1:26:49, 1:27:05]: for five years. In my understanding, this it renews after the five years when uh from the 16th, uh I think um 2016 when we first came on, they came on for five years, 2021 would have been five years, and then it renews a year yearly after that. [1:27:06, 1:27:23]: But we've got to get information early. We got to get information early because of any contract ever come to us at the last minute that we can't sit the powers to be down and discuss the issues of the citizens. That's a disservice to every council member on here, every elected official that comes through this city. [1:27:23, 1:27:38]: We should always get an opportunity to sit down with the powers to be and make a uh a a decision right here whether we're going to continue those services or remove ourselves from it. But that should be done because we can't be in order in doing that. [1:27:38, 1:27:41]: If staff is not in order in bringing us the information. [1:27:41, 1:27:45]: Once again, we have a council meeting on fair on April fourteenth. [1:27:46, 1:27:48]: Бо ви хавтиме тонай. [1:27:48, 1:27:50]: Whether we're gonna continue with this services. [1:27:51, 1:27:53]: For the citizens to have sanitation pickup. [1:27:54, 1:27:59]: And I'm not gonna sit here and vote against sanitation pickup because our back is against the wall. [1:28:00, 1:28:01]: This what we have to prove tonight. [1:28:02, 1:28:04]: All right, Miss Gan, go ahead, please. [1:28:06, 1:28:07]: Well, Councilman Black just [1:28:08, 1:28:14]: Pretty much summed up exactly some of the same thing same concerns I have. I think we all get concerns about [1:28:14, 1:28:25]: about our city manager, uh Mr. Gardner, that um it's more education. I hope that we have this [1:28:25, 1:28:44]: on our the front page of our website honestly um i think that is something that we should put continue to put in our newsletters it should always be in there the schedule of of pickup for sanitation um so that we can have constant communication um to our constituents and the [1:28:44, 1:28:47]: Although this is doesn't have to do with residential. [1:28:47, 1:28:54]: We also had discussed um contracting whoever we have for sanitation, which is currently GFL. [1:28:54, 1:28:59]: to also have one person for commercial pickup. [1:28:59, 1:29:19]: Um, this has been ongoing. It's been going on for years. Um, I think that it would resolve a lot of problems. There have been over near the Walmart shopping center at one point, there was trash everywhere. Um, they have various pickups from different sanitation departments with our commercial portion, our businesses. And I think if we had one, we were [1:29:19, 1:29:29]: supposed to give them like a a six months notice that they were gonna they everyone was to switch over to the same company sanitation department that we use. [1:29:30, 1:29:44]: Um, I think it would show consistency. I think it would be professional, and I think it's something that we need to look into to hold one individual accountable for. Um, that's just my two cents. I know that's totally different from what we're talking about on our contract. [1:29:45, 1:30:00]: I agree. I think that we should have a right to discuss with our with whoever we're renewing the contracts. I think it maybe we should have a policy where if we're renewing a contract, those people need to be on our council meetings, scheduled for that day. [1:30:00, 1:30:20]: Um, because we have questions. We want to let them know we may be renewing your contract or you know, and we know that Georgia's at will and we can terminate the contract early without penalties, maybe in some of those clauses. But what we want them to know is we want them also to know our concerns. So they should be here present so that we can ask those. [1:30:20, 1:30:27]: particular questions and also address those concerns. So I think we need to make that part of our policy and get those people here on those meeting dates. [1:30:28, 1:30:32]: That's it. Thank you for that. Ms. Barber, go ahead, please. [1:30:34, 1:30:42]: Yes. So the last time this came to us in December, there were some discussions about the expiration date of this. [1:30:42, 1:30:42]: Um [1:30:43, 1:30:43]: B [1:30:44, 1:30:46]: City attorney confirmed. [1:30:46, 1:30:48]: that the expiration of this [1:30:48, 1:30:51]: was to end in December of the [1:30:51, 1:30:53]: December of twenty twenty one. [1:30:54, 1:31:00]: Looking at the very first page of the Solid Waste Collection Transportation Disposal Agreement. [1:31:00, 1:31:04]: Under term, it says this agreement shall be binding. [1:31:05, 1:31:11]: on all parties for a period of five years and eight months, beginning May first of twenty sixteen. [1:31:12, 1:31:15]: And ending december thirty first of twenty twenty one. [1:31:16, 1:31:21]: provided that consistent with the multi-year contractual provisions. [1:31:21, 1:31:27]: This contract shall be automatically renewed on January one of each year. [1:31:27, 1:31:34]: unless either party provides written notice to the other of its intentions not to renew this agreement. [1:31:34, 1:31:35]: So [1:31:35, 1:31:45]: I know that it will renew for an additional, the initial term will automatically extend for five consecutive additional one year periods. [1:31:45, 1:31:46]: But this contract. [1:31:46, 1:31:50]: ended December thirty first of twenty twenty one. [1:31:51, 1:31:54]: is just now coming to us, I guess, to ratify it. [1:31:55, 1:31:55]: I don't know. [1:31:56, 1:31:57]: But I do not like the fact. [1:31:57, 1:32:00]: that is being dropped in our lap right now. [1:32:00, 1:32:02]: With a critical service like this. [1:32:03, 1:32:04]: And we're forced to sign it. [1:32:05, 1:32:06]: Again. [1:32:06, 1:32:08]: For these services. [1:32:08, 1:32:12]: That we have um awarded contracts back in. [1:32:12, 1:32:20]: 2016, 2017, and we have not put them back out to bid. I don't agree with extending them. [1:32:20, 1:32:23]: I'd much rather see them go back out to bed, but. [1:32:24, 1:32:26]: Because we're in this situation, we don't have time. [1:32:27, 1:32:28]: to bid it out. [1:32:28, 1:32:29]: But we do. [1:32:29, 1:32:31]: We should be planning. [1:32:31, 1:32:37]: you don't mind Mr. Gardner, we should be planning to bid this back out sometime this year. [1:32:37, 1:32:38]: Before [1:32:39, 1:32:40]: The renewal. [1:32:40, 1:32:44]: if that's what the council approves. [1:32:44, 1:32:49]: so that we can compare cost and services. Um, that's all. [1:32:50, 1:32:51]: Mr. Gardner, go ahead, please. [1:32:52, 1:33:02]: I I'm wholeheartedly agree. Yes. The the there's the the initial five-year term, as you stated, Councilmember Barber, from from 16 to 21, and then it has five one year. [1:33:02, 1:33:22]: So obviously this will be the the the set the renewal for the one year. Um and it has been, this will be six years worth of information and data that we've gathered on this vendor. So yes, this is something that we can look to bid out and have have something out on the streets somewhere in the area of October. [1:33:22, 1:33:23]: Um [1:33:23, 1:33:27]: No October, November and then be able to have s you know, if they win then fine if [1:33:27, 1:33:47]: Um, we'll bring a new contract and hopefully better pricing. But to see exactly yes, what's out there? Is it a better pricing available? Um, as well as um are they provide is there another vendor that is providing an enhanced quality service to their customers, i.e., they'll do that too for us. So I agree this is something we need to look at. [1:33:47, 1:33:53]: at um and we'll be we'll be looking into it to make sure that that happens. [1:33:54, 1:33:59]: I think yes, we can try to look to see if we can get a better buying file, but um [1:33:59, 1:34:01]: Obviously after five or six years. [1:34:03, 1:34:09]: That is a lot of okay, thank you. Hold on, Ms. Washington. You are unmuted, sir. Did you find out anything from uh your cohort? [1:34:10, 1:34:11]: Um big yeah. [1:34:12, 1:34:13]: Not yet. [1:34:13, 1:34:16]: Okay. Um uh councilman Alexander, go ahead, please. [1:34:16, 1:34:19]: Yeah, so Mr. Gardner, what is the recommendation? [1:34:20, 1:34:33]: So obviously we're we're we're um we're pretty much a couple of weeks away from from the ending of the term. I would I would recommend that we extend for one more year and direct staff to put this out to bed. [1:34:33, 1:34:34]: Um [1:34:35, 1:34:38]: Pro the contract give notice that we will be bidding it back out. [1:34:38, 1:34:40]: Um, I think we have to give ninety day notice. [1:34:40, 1:34:47]: Um and that'll be later in the year that we bid this out. And if GFL comes back with the best pricing and [1:34:47, 1:34:54]: We'll look at that in refer in reference to their level of service that we've given over the over the last six years. Um, if it's another vendor, then we'll bring another vendor. [1:34:56, 1:35:07]: Okay, so the recommendation is for a one-year renewal, uh, and then to put it back out for uh, you know, to see what uh what the mark market is. [1:35:07, 1:35:08]: Dicturing. [1:35:08, 1:35:13]: uh at this point and but in the meantime I still want to make sure that we follow through [1:35:13, 1:35:22]: With the recommendations of the information going out. I like that idea, especially for seniors, of the magnet on the refrigerator. [1:35:22, 1:35:30]: where they just is there i and and folks will use it. So I certainly appreciate that. And uh [1:35:31, 1:35:34]: I will make a motion to go ahead and approve that recommendation. [1:35:34, 1:35:47]: uh by uh the city manager uh to renew for one year and then to put this out for bid with the conditions that we have the upgraded information uh in this one year renewal. [1:35:48, 1:35:48]: A second. [1:35:49, 1:35:57]: I'm Ms. Gantt second that uh Mayor Pro Tem, go ahead, please. Well, I I just wanted to just say that for me, uh, service dictate approval. [1:35:57, 1:36:03]: Uh we we talking money, but I think in this as well, we have to talk about. [1:36:04, 1:36:11]: Uh and and Mr. Aaron and uh Mr. Gardner, we're gonna have to be able to look at some of these things to see how we can improve. [1:36:12, 1:36:23]: uh the services. So I think with with all of that, we got to pinpoint how the services can be improved. So I think that has to go along with [1:36:23, 1:36:43]: um putting it back out for bid and those that's gonna come in and bid on it. We have to sort of be able to speak to uh some of the deficiencies and some of the service. But I'm okay with, you know, um the the one year, but we have to sort of talk about and and I'm okay with you and Mr. Aaron sort of doing that. [1:36:43, 1:36:58]: But you have to know what the concerns are. We have to know what level of service are right now. We always have to improve our service. We can't live on our past laurels. We have to always be about improving things. [1:37:00, 1:37:06]: Yeah, I just stop it up. Please, Mr. Blount, let us finish his comments, please. [1:37:07, 1:37:11]: No, I'm sorry. I wouldn't talk to Mr. Thomas. Forgive me. I wouldn't talk to Mr. Thomas. Forgive me. [1:37:12, 1:37:15]: So my my my point, Mr. Gunn and Mr. Aaron. [1:37:16, 1:37:20]: Uh I'm okay with GFL. They do a pretty good job. [1:37:20, 1:37:40]: But I don't care who the contractor is, we have to always be about approval. So, Mr. Gardner, Mr. Aaron, I'm okay with the one year, but I think you all got to have that conversation to see how we can improve. And that's all I just want to get over to this council. We have to understand we have to be about improvement of services. [1:37:40, 1:37:41]: Thank you, Mayor. Number year. [1:37:42, 1:37:46]: Okay, so the motion's been made, been seconded. So all in favor of the motion, please indicate. [1:37:49, 1:37:50]: Okay. I [1:37:50, 1:37:53]: Okay. Okay. Miss Gar uh Miss uh Barber. [1:37:54, 1:37:59]: I'll abstain. Um 40. Okay. 401. [1:38:00, 1:38:03]: For the right sorry, did we get a vote from uh Councilman Block? [1:38:03, 1:38:06]: Yes, he's he said I. He's four four zero four zero one. [1:38:07, 1:38:08]: For the biker. [1:38:08, 1:38:13]: I'm abstaining because it looks as though this contract has already expired. [1:38:14, 1:38:16]: Secondly, I wanted to um just mention [1:38:17, 1:38:21]: This contract, our current contract, requires a ninety-day [1:38:21, 1:38:22]: Notice. [1:38:24, 1:38:24]: Before. [1:38:25, 1:38:25]: Um [1:38:26, 1:38:28]: You change to another contractor. [1:38:29, 1:38:29]: However [1:38:30, 1:38:32]: Mr. Garden, you mentioned about um [1:38:32, 1:38:34]: We're building this. [1:38:34, 1:38:39]: So I would suggest that you bring back a new contract or recommendation to award. [1:38:40, 1:38:43]: ninety days prior to December thirty first. [1:38:45, 1:38:51]: Well and I I I think I did mention Councilman Biden that we we also we have to give them the ninety day notice. [1:38:52, 1:39:03]: um of the fact that we will be terminating. Um and I will work with the city attorney to make sure that that date is December 31st versus Octo um April. [1:39:03, 1:39:08]: Um because the one year renewal should if it's a true one year renewal. [1:39:08, 1:39:13]: It should go from April eleventh, twenty twenty two to April eleventh, twenty twenty three. [1:39:13, 1:39:27]: Which means we need to give ourselves that that window 90 day to notify them. But that would also be probably the prior period of time when we start the bid process out for folks to start bidding on it. Cause obviously, as you know, put it out there for 45 days plus. [1:39:27, 1:39:35]: Then staff review. That's probably another another week or two. So we'll be in concert with them, have an event to come on board when they're done. [1:39:37, 1:39:38]: You're welcome. [1:39:39, 1:39:59]: All right, so the motion passed. And uh now what's next is uh my particular comments. What I want to say tonight is simply this that COVID-19 and pandemic is still among us. So, folks, that you can still get uh tested at uh Red Hawk um field uh located 143 Henry Parkway, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. [1:39:59, 1:40:19]: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the Department of Health, you can call their on uh Henry Parkway as well. You can call them at 470-661-0005. You can get tested there as well as you can get your vaccinations there, Pfizer or Moderma. You can walk in for that. And if you want to do that at Department of Health. [1:40:19, 1:40:28]: Health, that would be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 or 1 p.m. to 2 30. Okay. And so you can go there and do that as well. [1:40:28, 1:40:48]: But here recently, and actually council and staff and all the directors just recently received a message from our city manager in reference to per CD CDC guidelines that Henry County itself is experiencing low, low rates here, low rates hospitalization, low rates in reference to the people being affected by the pandemic. [1:40:48, 1:41:08]: So the CT, CDC is uh recommending in a sense that uh that uh that actually there's no requirement now for indoor mask wearing at indoor facilities. You you you can do it if you'd like to do it, but you don't have to. It's not mandatory. I think by this last message that the uh city manager said [1:41:08, 1:41:28]: Sent out to the staff and council in reference to city hall and our city buildings. The city staff doesn't necessarily have to wear a mask unless you really want to. And citizens that are coming into to do business with us don't necessarily have to wear a mask either, unless you honestly want to at this point. So that's uh that's a good sign, I would say, to you. And hopefully [1:41:28, 1:41:44]: We'll continue to move on with this process as the numbers continue to get lower and we beat this pandemic. Also, what's happening on Friday, which is April, April 1st, April Fool's Day, but we will have our first concert of 2022 season. [1:41:44, 1:42:01]: John Parde, a country star, will be in concert along with a couple other of his uh cohorts there. And you can still get tickets, folks, if you go to uh stopbridgeamp.com, find out what's available, and uh come on out and listen to some country music this this Friday evening. [1:42:01, 1:42:06]: Now also if you go to Stockbridge AMP dot com, you'll see the the actual um [1:42:06, 1:42:17]: actual tickets or the uh uh the actual concerts that we have tickets for on sale now for several different concerts as well. So take a look at that and and and take your pick of what you want to come and see for this concert season. [1:42:18, 1:42:19]: Um now [1:42:19, 1:42:39]: And what what uh what I understand that we would do also for the concert, uh the we're not going to ask anybody for a vaccination card or a booster card. It's not going to be a requirement at this time to ask you for any type of um of uh any type of uh COVID test, negative test within the last 48 hours. Uh you can [1:42:39, 1:42:42]: still wear a mask if you come to conference if you'd like to do that. [1:42:42, 1:42:46]: It's not mandatory at this time for this outdoor uh uh venue. [1:42:46, 1:42:57]: And uh it was my understanding is that there will be medical staff on to give tests or vaccinations if people want them, is my understanding. If you want them, it's not a requirement, but if you want them. [1:42:57, 1:42:58]: You can do that. [1:42:59, 1:43:03]: this aspect. So look forward to a wonderful uh concert s uh uh season. [1:43:04, 1:43:08]: Which we kick up April first and I think the last concert would be sometime in uh late October. [1:43:08, 1:43:11]: So it's fantastic in that aspect as well. [1:43:11, 1:43:14]: Earlier uh this evening and when we opened up [1:43:14, 1:43:34]: Mayor Potem gave the prayer and he and he talked about, indicated that myself, along with him and Councilman Alexander, along with several members of staff, were at a conference earlier today. And that was what you call the actual South Metro Development Outlook Conference. It's an economic conference in rest in reference to the South Metro area. [1:43:34, 1:43:54]: Area and what kind of good things are happening in the south part of the Atlanta metro area. And this has, and we're growing and we're making some good movements here. So I want you to know that during that conference, we had a lot of interaction, a lot of networking of the staff and the council members made. And this has been going on for 20 years, along with the collaborative firm. [1:43:54, 1:44:04]: which is a the partner of that is uh Mr. Michael Hightower. And so for 20 years he's done this and done an excellent job. So it was it was great, great conference in this aspect. I will tell you that [1:44:04, 1:44:24]: I as as a representative, as the mayor of the city of Stockbridge, representing Stockbridge at the time, had an opportunity to give a highlight of this of a South Metro city, give a highlight of Stockbridge. And I want to let you know the type of topic, topics, and things that I covered. And without besides uh indicating, I'm not gonna make it very long on this aspect, but besides talking about the fact [1:44:24, 1:44:44]: That uh we're over 100 years old in corporation. Of course, we didn't celebrate like we really wanted to in 2020 due to the pandemic. But I always have to mention and educate people in reference to Stockbridge being the ancestral home of the King family. You always find people that don't even know that. So you want to educate them enough to know of our historical value and our link to the king family and the civil. [1:44:44, 1:45:04]: rights movement in this aspect as well. Without a doubt, I talked about the state of the art amphitheater and what's coming to the amphitheater. In fact that it's it's a great the first amphitheater in Henry County and one of the greatest looking facilities amphitheaters in the South Metro area. I want to emphasize that the fact that the season's going to start and invited everybody of course to check out the uh check out the uh actual uh concerts [1:45:04, 1:45:24]: Online and buy a ticket and come on down and enjoy everything in this aspect as well. Um, have some conversations. Uh I talked about last year's structure for that, and wanted to talk about the course of the um police department coming online and mentioned uh Chief Tremors uh is our police chief and the fact that him and his staff are hiring uh [1:45:24, 1:45:44]: Plenty of good qualified police officers, going to be a diverse police force, and they will implement uh uh the police force on one July, something that the city has not had in 45 years. It's a good thing that we're doing this, and also had a slide that's showing a brand new spanking-looking police vehicles and the fact that we're going to spend three million dollars to renovate the [1:45:44, 1:46:04]: The old police station, stated art police station in this aspect, something that we totally differ definitely need. Talked talked briefly about um Bridget Adjodico and about last Friday, week go last week go Friday, I guess it is now, um, about our groundbreaking with our general at uh at Jodico, uh the$50 million. [1:46:04, 1:46:17]: Um these luxury apartment that Sterling Group is going to do with those luxury apartments and the fact that we have retail on the first floor of 306 of those apartments, one and two three bedroom apartments. And also the fact that that's just the beginning. [1:46:18, 1:46:38]: of the of the actual additional groundbreakings that we'll have at Bridge of Jodico, because we're going to eventually have hotels, restaurants, all types of eateries, homes, condos, town homes, and homes that have attached and detached garages, as well as a path, a network of a path where a pathway network there for people to commute [1:46:38, 1:46:45]: to walk on and and move around the facility as is is as well. And um I continued on with um [1:46:46, 1:47:06]: In reference to the Cultural Arts Center, the fact that we have that at the far west side of the uh of our downtown area, and the fact that that's planning to be a theater, a ballroom, and other types of cultural type events, art shows and things of this nature that we want to bring to this. And the fact that the the actual um groundbreaking probably won't happen for roughly a year now, late late quarter. [1:47:06, 1:47:19]: quarter of this year or first quarter of of next year is what's intended for that to happen. And actually I didn't get a chance to spend on everything like I wanted to because I I had a short period of time. So I was trying to get a lot in a whole a big period of time there. [1:47:19, 1:47:39]: And I mentioned about T-SPLOST. Thanks, you citizens, for voting for T Splots in November passing. That means the collections, what I've been told, the collection for T-SPLOST will start on April 1st, five years. Over a five-year period, the city should get an estimated of$30 million. And what we're going to do, that$30 million, is going to we're going to look at curb, gutter, widening street. [1:47:39, 1:47:59]: Streets, repaving streets and putting in some of the cross markings, crossing, crossings in actual communities, especially the underserved communities that haven't had this before. Look at the path, connecting communities with pathways, pathways there itself, connecting the communities to the downtown area so you can walk and move about. [1:47:59, 1:48:19]: And also connected or have a pathway connected to Panoma Mountain and eventually to uh the Silva Comet Trail. So all this is what's planned in that T Sploss and the Council is going to have to prioritize the funding and things we want to do with that$30 million on the next five years. Also mentioned about expanding the bridge that goes across the [1:48:19, 1:48:37]: the uh rebel track downtown ml king senior bridge we want to put a pedestrian walkway on that bridge to expand it so people can walk from east to west side safely and and be safe with that process as they move about from the from the amphitheater to our downtown areas as we look to revitalize our downtown areas well. [1:48:38, 1:48:58]: I also talked about the STEM. The Henry County Board of Education approved to put the STEM school right there at the old Henry site, old Stockbridge High School site, two blocks from down from our city hall, right in our downtown area. That's a great thing, even though it's it it helps revitalize our downtown area to have the skin sta. [1:48:58, 1:49:07]: STEM school right there. So that was also mentioned to them. And actually on the 14th of April, uh four o'clock, uh, council and its citizens, there will be a special event to unveiling [1:49:08, 1:49:12]: of this particular project that they're that they're going to have and I'm I would imagine the project will [1:49:12, 1:49:32]: Actually open up, uh officially open up probably in a good year and a half from now after you have to clear out the land and build build that STEM school. So it'll probably a good year and I probably won't uh have a grand opening in probably uh into 24, probably 2024. But they'll be able to tighten that up at the activity on April 14th. And the last thing I covered dealt with the conceptual plan in a downtown. [1:49:32, 1:49:45]: area as we want to revitalize it and and the shops and and things that we want to do there in this aspect as well. And um so I was about to highlight so they're trying to go through that pretty somewhat quickly uh in this aspect, but I'll tell you what. [1:49:46, 1:50:06]: What I heard from individuals that approached me after this particular briefing, they didn't realize a lot of things are going on at Stockbridge. And what they know where they they got an idea that we're moving forward. They also understand that and and say that that's great things that you all doing. And that's thank that's good to the council and us moving everything forward. That's good for the citizens. And we have a listen here for you citizens. [1:50:06, 1:50:26]: on what you want and the staff doing a heavy lifting as we continue to move everything forward. So we have a bright future. We're going to dub, you know, brush off this this rough diamond and make it shine. And we'll continue to shine. And so on that note um I'll end my particular comments and I'll start reading uh the actual um events here that we have going on. Now I'm [1:50:26, 1:50:43]: I'm gonna mention these events and these things are all gonna basically mention about the primarily about Zoom meetings, but they may very well change now that things are starting to open up a little bit. So that's up to the actual committee or the board whether or not they wanna have something in person, but I'll but most of them say that they're gonna be virtual and I'll read that this time. [1:50:43, 1:50:52]: Main Street Advisory Board meeting, second Friday of each month, nine o'clock by way of Zoom. And uh said the revised date for this is going to be April 15th. [1:50:52, 1:50:58]: City Council meeting the second Monday of each month. And that's by way of Zune on April eleventh. Okay. [1:51:00, 1:51:13]: April 11th. All right. So we'll see whether or not we have that by Zoom or in person. We'll find we'll have to discuss that to see manager council with how you want to handle that. New council meeting, 5 30, second Wednesday of each month in the Levi meeting room. [1:51:13, 1:51:15]: City Hall April thirteenth. [1:51:15, 1:51:29]: The Downtown Development Authority meeting is uh six o'clock by way of Zoom, third Tuesday of each month, and uh is April 19th. The U Council of Irish committee meeting is the third Tuesday of each month. The Patrick Henry meeting room, and that's April 19th. [1:51:30, 1:51:36]: Uh the planning commission meeting is a four Thursday at 630 by way of Zoom, which is April 28th. [1:51:38, 1:51:42]: see here and our let's see one second here [1:51:44, 1:51:47]: And then I have here the uh of course the uh [1:51:48, 1:51:49]: Uh [1:51:49, 1:52:09]: I have here a note in reference to uh a continuous salute to veterans, uh, four pictures of veterans, including the name, branch, and rank of years of service to Mayor Pro Tem Thomas, as we want to present and keep keep those veterans and close to us in this aspect and give them the set of due respect and honor. And uh [1:52:09, 1:52:17]: And you can communicate with uh Ms. Pearson and it's a Z Pearson at C Stockbridge dash G A dot Gov [1:52:17, 1:52:27]: And then our once I already mentioned about our first concert of the season is Friday, April 1st, uh this Friday, John Parday, which is a country singer, and the show begins at eight. [1:52:27, 1:52:31]: And it's COVID 19, once again, restrictions have been lifted. [1:52:31, 1:52:36]: And I have here Councilman Alexander is hosting a quarterly town hall meeting April fourteenth at seven PM. [1:52:37, 1:52:57]: And right. I'm sorry, that's been postponed. Postponed. Okay. Thank you very much, sir. That's been postponed. And then there's a there's a city sponsored job fair uh Thursday, April 21st, uh at uh 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Amplitude Theater parking lot, with the city is as having it was with Goodwill with the city, along with a mega sci-fi uh uh fraternity. [1:52:57, 1:53:08]: And Delta Sigma Theta sorority. And they're also going to be ex offenders, part of the ex offender job fair as well, and try to get folks back into the into the job market. And um [1:53:09, 1:53:20]: And then of course I had meet the mayor and voice your concerns and uh concerns and issues and questions you may have. That'll be Monday, April 25th at 10 a.m. to noon. And we're going to do that in person. [1:53:20, 1:53:36]: And uh so you have to schedule an appointment with Zenovia Pearson at 770-389-7900, extension 248. And on that note, that's all the uh the announcements I have. And I'm it's only my assumption there is no executive session for this evening. [1:53:36, 1:53:39]: Okay, so on that note, Council, I need a motion to end our meeting. [1:53:40, 1:53:40]: So move. [1:53:41, 1:53:46]: Ms. Brant's uh the second by Alexander and Gantt put that most on favor, please indicate. [1:53:47, 1:53:50]: All right. And it looks like you now see season. Goodbye, everybody. [1:53:50, 1:53:53]: Uh and have a good evening. God bless you all. [1:53:53, 1:53:55]: Good night. All right. Have a good evening. Good night.
