[0:13:59, 0:14:08]: Uh Mr. Washington, uh we had previously discussed uh changing the distance limits on the small box retailers. [0:14:08, 0:14:24]: Yeah, we just simply uh want to change the limit. We want to keep the original formula. Uh Henry County has a formula of five miles distance. I simply want to change the distance. Is it is it okay if we add that to the agenda and then [0:14:24, 0:14:29]: Uh just change the distance or do we need to have uh is there some other legal thing we just [0:14:30, 0:14:35]: So what you all have to do and correct me whether I'm I'm wrong on this man for is that [0:14:35, 0:14:42]: If you want to present an ordinance to change an an ordinance to change or a a law or a rule. [0:14:42, 0:14:48]: You have to write it down and submit it and then it'd be it's something that we can vote on. But if you all want to [0:14:49, 0:14:54]: And I need to check to see what your procedures are for that. If you all want to suspend all of your rules to do that. [0:14:55, 0:14:58]: Then I'd have I'd just have to check and see what the vote count would be for that. [0:14:58, 0:15:02]: to be able to suspend the rules and add an ordinance like that to the agenda. [0:15:03, 0:15:05]: You'd be waving your rules. You you'd have to [0:15:06, 0:15:07]: Way yards rules of procedure. [0:15:07, 0:15:22]: Well I would I would say hold on a second, I would think that if you want if you wanted to add it to the agenda, we'd take a vote to add it to the agenda and discuss this issue. But obviously the the attorneys doesn't have I don't think we have any documentation ready for any type of um approval aspect thus far. [0:15:22, 0:15:26]: But uh in that aspect. But if you want to end it, uh add it, I believe I imagine we can add it. [0:15:27, 0:15:28]: Oh, go ahead, Mayor Putin. [0:15:28, 0:15:34]: How how about we do this? We get the documentation ready and we add it at the very next meeting. [0:15:35, 0:15:39]: Uh we brought the subject up before. I'd just like to have it ready at the next meeting if that would be great. [0:15:40, 0:15:45]: No, and that's and that's fine. Here's what we were going to also discuss and [0:15:45, 0:15:47]: We've been thinking about this one, Mr. Knight. [0:15:48, 0:15:58]: It would be beneficial to us if we could have an email that goes around or either we'll just get a sheet together of what the council consensus is so that that way we know what. [0:15:59, 0:16:07]: If three of you all want something brought to you all, what we need to bring. Because what's happening is we're getting direct we're getting directives and requests. [0:16:07, 0:16:14]: And so the question of how to prioritize those could be greatly honed in on if you all would just send us. [0:16:15, 0:16:32]: an email that says council consensus request or either we have a sheet that goes around where you are what three people sign off on it so that way we'll know what to send you off and we can do that in a timely manner. We can do that weekly it's council consensus requests so that that way we can go forward and have these items. [0:16:32, 0:16:36]: Okay, no problem, sir. Uh so moved to approve the agenda. [0:16:37, 0:16:38]: Is there a second? [0:16:40, 0:16:41]: Is there a second? [0:16:42, 0:16:47]: I hold it. Thanks. Thank you. Councilman Barber seconded. All in favor, please indicate. [0:37:04, 0:37:11]: These are just a few of our programs and accomplishments that we have been able to maintain during these challenging times. [0:37:11, 0:37:27]: All of which culminated with our recent Main Street DDA joint planning session and Main Street staff's certification as Georgia Downtown Professionals. We thank the Stockbridge City Council for their support of our work. [0:37:27, 0:37:33]: And we look forward to even bigger, better and bigger and better things in the coming year. [0:38:02, 0:38:04]: According uh to [0:38:04, 0:38:10]: uh community affairs and after all comments i'd like to move that uh we accept [0:38:11, 0:38:18]: Uh, this presentation from uh Mrs. Braggs, the manager of the Stockbridge Main Street program. [0:38:19, 0:38:20]: Okay, is there a second? [0:38:21, 0:38:26]: Is there a second? Second. I got councilman, I saw Councilman Blount's hand raised for a second there. [0:38:26, 0:38:28]: Any further discussion? [0:38:29, 0:38:30]: All favor, please indicate. [0:38:31, 0:38:36]: Casey Nanus. Thank you, sir. Thank you, Council. Thank you, Ms. Bright. Okay. [0:38:57, 0:39:00]: You're you're muted, uh Miss Merrill Miller. [0:39:02, 0:39:02]: There you go. [0:39:03, 0:39:06]: Sorry about that. Good evening, Mayor and Council. I do pray that everyone's well. [0:39:07, 0:39:11]: The uh public works department is requesting council approval to renew the term contract. [0:39:12, 0:39:17]: For sanitation collection services, which is for the collection and transportation. [0:39:17, 0:39:30]: Of all residential solid waste within the its boundaries, from the point of pickup to the customer owned transfer station located in the city limits of Stockbridge. We have with us this evening uh Mr. Dwayne Isaac. [0:39:30, 0:39:34]: Who's also present along with um the public works director, if there are any questions. [0:39:35, 0:39:38]: Okay. Thank you for that. Mr. Aaron, do you have anything you need to add right now, sir? [0:39:40, 0:40:00]: Uh, I'm just saying now it's some challenging times in the uh sanitation industry. I know living here in Macon has been hit and miss for us for the last three months. I haven't had my garbage collected on the day of collection. And I'm proud to say that we haven't had that issue in Stockbridge. I received two services last week. [0:40:00, 0:40:05]: week my collection day is Friday. They collect me me on Monday and this past Friday. So [0:40:05, 0:40:08]: The industry is experiencing a great deal. [0:40:09, 0:40:10]: of issues with [0:40:10, 0:40:17]: finding correct staffing to provide these services. And I'm just glad that we're not experiencing that in Stockbridge. [0:40:17, 0:40:21]: Okay, thank you. Good deal. Appreciate it. Mr. Dwayne Isaac, sir. [0:40:21, 0:40:24]: But GFL, anything you need to say at this time? [0:40:26, 0:40:46]: No, sir. Mayor Ford, thank you guys for allowing me to be on the call and being in consideration to um partner with you guys for the next five years. Hope that decision comes. I know it's not a um easy decision, but I think over the last five years we've we've done a pretty good job. Um every day we improve and we look to improve. [0:40:46, 0:40:51]: and um just hope that I get five more years to continue to prove that we can do the job. [0:40:51, 0:40:52]: All right. [0:40:52, 0:40:58]: On that note, council, any any questions, concerns for any one of Ms. Miller, Ms. Aaron, or of course Mr. Isaac at all. [0:40:59, 0:41:00]: Mr. Thomas, go ahead, please. [0:41:02, 0:41:06]: Thank you, Mayor. I I just wanted to take this opportunity to [0:41:06, 0:41:09]: Uh come in, Mr. Isaac. Um [0:41:10, 0:41:20]: I could give him a call uh from time to time with some concerns that I hear from citizens. And he has always been willing. [0:41:20, 0:41:40]: um you know to to to meet those um residents to uh satisfy them with their service but i just want to take this opportunity uh mr ize just to thank you uh for being able to to respond to uh citizens uh when they do have um issues of [0:41:40, 0:41:45]: I just wanted to to speak to someone. So I just want to thank you for your service. [0:41:46, 0:41:48]: Okay. Miss Barber, go ahead, please. [0:41:51, 0:41:56]: Thank you. I actually have two questions. One of them is for [0:41:56, 0:42:02]: Uh Mr. Wiggins, um, the finance piece. With this renewal, does it include an increase? [0:42:03, 0:42:04]: In our annual [0:42:05, 0:42:06]: What's it about? [0:42:09, 0:42:12]: Uh increase? No, it's is um [0:42:13, 0:42:15]: The budget was was set uh [0:42:16, 0:42:17]: Budget time and I [0:42:18, 0:42:21]: If uh if if district can add something add add to it. [0:42:22, 0:42:23]: I I um [0:42:23, 0:42:25]: I'm not sure if he added in. [0:42:26, 0:42:27]: I got increase. [0:42:27, 0:42:29]: Thank you just uh I I don't know. [0:42:30, 0:42:32]: I'm not sure about an increase. [0:42:32, 0:42:38]: I I can I can chime in on that if you would like. Yeah, go write it, sir. The contract calls for a [0:42:39, 0:42:59]: A GOP increase yearly. Last year, I did not apply an increase because of the issues that we were having with COVID. Um, the reps not coming to work and not being able to be there because of COVID and their family issues. So I didn't pass along a PI for you to you guys last year. But the contract calls for a PI. [0:42:59, 0:43:00]: Yeah. [0:43:01, 0:43:01]: And [0:43:02, 0:43:16]: I reach out to Mr. Aaron yearly to make sure that we're good with moving forward with the PI. And if there's an issue, I do not apply it, even though the contract requires it. When it comes down to the city of Stockbridge, there's a partnership between [0:43:17, 0:43:30]: And you guys and what's best for the residents and the citizens of Scott Bridge, that's what we move forward with. So though the contract says that it requires a PI every year, if the city and the council have an issue with that PI, I don't pass it along. [0:43:32, 0:43:33]: Okay. [0:43:33, 0:43:33]: Oh [0:43:34, 0:43:42]: My question is still not answered. Um, I need to know what is exactly the increase amount. I know last year. [0:43:43, 0:43:44]: Or was it earlier this year? [0:43:45, 0:43:46]: We didn't pay. [0:43:47, 0:43:48]: For additional cost. [0:43:49, 0:43:52]: to waste industries or was it someone else? [0:43:52, 0:43:56]: I know that there were a lot of additional sanitation. [0:43:56, 0:43:59]: Um that waste industries. [0:43:59, 0:44:00]: had to incorporate. [0:44:01, 0:44:02]: into our contract. [0:44:02, 0:44:03]: Mm. [0:44:03, 0:44:05]: was last year doing COVID. [0:44:05, 0:44:11]: Well, last year we didn't apply. We I spoke with Mr. Aaron about the recycle increase. [0:44:12, 0:44:21]: And after me and Mr. Aaron discussed, I pulled that PI back because the PI rates for disposal increased to 60 bucks a ton. [0:44:21, 0:44:33]: So I initially sat down with those guys and talked to them about it. And he said that the the budget couldn't afford it. So I pulled that PI back and I ate that cost. Last year you did not receive a PI for GFL. [0:44:34, 0:44:38]: whatsoever. And I just recently added a PI the first of June. [0:44:38, 0:44:43]: of three percent. But now how the the price increase goes every year is is government [0:44:44, 0:44:58]: So next year it may only be 1.5%. It's based on the GOP. And I can forward that information to you so you can have a better understanding of it. But we haven't gotten any um increase from you guys since 2019. [0:44:59, 0:45:03]: Thank you, Mr. Isaac. But I know last year the council approved [0:45:04, 0:45:06]: additional funding for sanitation. [0:45:07, 0:45:08]: Mr. Aaron. [0:45:09, 0:45:15]: Do you recall um us having this conversation? I know that the whole the [0:45:15, 0:45:18]: Explanation was because of COVID, the [0:45:19, 0:45:26]: Everyone was spending a lot of time at home. So they were cleaning their garages, they had extra, you know, trash. [0:45:26, 0:45:27]: And [0:45:28, 0:45:30]: Waste industries was picking up the trash. [0:45:31, 0:45:31]: So [0:45:32, 0:45:34]: The council was asked to approve additional [0:45:34, 0:45:36]: cost associated with that. [0:45:36, 0:45:40]: Is that separate from what you're asking for here? [0:45:41, 0:45:57]: Yes, ma'am. We had a uh rate increase last year because the uh sanitation fee was up operating out of deficit. We were charging less than what was being charged us to dispose of the cart, but there's no increase for this year or the next year. [0:45:58, 0:46:03]: Okay, so I'm confused then. Mr. Knighton, help me please. Um [0:46:04, 0:46:05]: This contract I know [0:46:06, 0:46:11]: It says it expires um on the thirty first of this year. [0:46:11, 0:46:13]: And of course there is a [0:46:13, 0:46:16]: Um renewal of one year. [0:46:16, 0:46:21]: For five consecutive times. I don't know why this is being brought to us. [0:46:22, 0:46:25]: this early in the year, but I'm trying to understand [0:46:25, 0:46:27]: What in addition to what [0:46:27, 0:46:29]: The council approved last year. [0:46:30, 0:46:31]: Are we now? [0:46:31, 0:46:33]: As to approve now. [0:46:34, 0:46:36]: Let me let me see if I can try to [0:46:36, 0:46:38]: Clarify some things. One is [0:46:39, 0:46:44]: Reason why it's brought being brought now is because sanitation is a huge, huge [0:46:45, 0:46:47]: um infrastructure item. [0:46:47, 0:47:02]: And if the council were uncomfortable with moving forward with GFL or or not necessarily even uncomfortable with GFL, but wanting to bid it out, it would take several months to be able to construct that RFP, put it out. [0:47:02, 0:47:12]: uh and obviously uh review it, evaluate it and then bring it back before December before this particular contract expires. And that's why it's being brought now because it's just the [0:47:13, 0:47:16]: The massive nature of a sanitation contract. [0:47:17, 0:47:24]: The other thing is um related to your your uh other question related to costs uh associated with it. [0:47:24, 0:47:29]: I think there are two different things here. One is the contract, the actual contract with GFL. [0:47:30, 0:47:35]: Which Mr uh Isaac uh alluded to earlier in terms of consumer price index or GOP that [0:47:36, 0:47:40]: natural increase that that natural increase that would take based on [0:47:41, 0:47:48]: that price index, that's with their con that's with their contract and their assessment to us per the contract. [0:47:48, 0:47:55]: And so I think their their contract with us is about 1.1 million or so, right about 1.1 million. And so [0:47:55, 0:47:59]: So if it increased by one percent based on that governmental figure. [0:48:00, 0:48:01]: Then it would be a one percent [0:48:01, 0:48:04]: um increase that would be applied. [0:48:04, 0:48:06]: Per our contract with them. [0:48:06, 0:48:12]: The rate increase, if I recall correctly, the rate increase had to do with what is assessed [0:48:13, 0:48:14]: Per the um [0:48:15, 0:48:15]: for the resident. [0:48:16, 0:48:20]: Um that was the rate increase, if I remember that correctly. Is that m correct, Mr. Aaron? [0:48:21, 0:48:21]: Yes, sir. [0:48:26, 0:48:33]: So we're dealing with two things. One is the actual resident application of what the resident is charged. [0:48:34, 0:48:37]: Versus the contract with the GFL. [0:48:37, 0:48:43]: which would increase based on the a a price index or consumer price index type uh figure. [0:48:49, 0:48:52]: Does that answer your question, Ms. Barber? [0:48:54, 0:48:56]: Not really. But thank you. [0:48:57, 0:48:57]: Thank you. [0:48:58, 0:49:02]: Well we wanna well we wanna make sure that question gets answered and and and clarified. [0:49:03, 0:49:07]: Well in two thousand and nineteen when we had our budget retreat ret [0:49:08, 0:49:11]: tree we requested a rate increase because [0:49:11, 0:49:14]: The city was charging the residents twelve dollars per car. [0:49:15, 0:49:33]: And when we went in and calculated what the actual cost was per resident, it was$17.34 what the city was paying GFL and and uh waste management for the disposal. So we increased the rate to match the rate that GFL, we're not making any money or anything. We increased it. [0:49:34, 0:49:40]: to pay for the actual cost of disposal per resident. And that was the rate increase the city implemented. [0:49:42, 0:49:46]: So what is the difference between what we were what we're currently paying? [0:49:46, 0:49:49]: And what this n renewal includes. [0:49:50, 0:49:54]: We're j we're just renewing, I guess, at our current terms. [0:49:54, 0:50:00]: is that we're not re the city is not requesting a rate increase to to the residents. [0:50:00, 0:50:11]: Like I stated earlier, the last increase we had was just to cover the expenses that we were paying for the disposal. We were losing five dollars for every cart and we were supplementing that. [0:50:12, 0:50:20]: out of a uh small fund balance sanitation had. And when that would have been exhausted, then we would have had to find resources to cover the shortfall. [0:50:22, 0:50:23]: And just a [0:50:24, 0:50:29]: They were charged a seventeen thirty four cart. That's what we're paying per cart, but the city was dealing twelve dollars. [0:50:32, 0:50:34]: Well, go ahead, Mr. Isaac, you were gonna say something, sir? [0:50:40, 0:50:42]: Mr. Isaac, you were gonna say something, sir? [0:50:44, 0:51:00]: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I was talking and I was muted. Um, our charge monthly is only about ten dollars and thirty-five cents per month. So it's not an astronomical fee that drove that increase, but if I'm not mistaken, it's been several years since the city of Stockbridge um had increased. [0:51:00, 0:51:09]: And that loss was really truly being affected. That's why I didn't pass along the the increase in 2019. [0:51:12, 0:51:14]: Okay. Thank you for that. [0:51:15, 0:51:17]: Uh Councilman Blount, go ahead, please. [0:51:18, 0:51:24]: Yeah, Mayor, I just want to echo uh Councilman uh Thomas's uh sentiments when it comes to GFL. [0:51:24, 0:51:44]: Um I've I've been appreciative of his work and I've talked to many citizens that are appreciative of the of the job they're doing. Also um the work that they've done in communities uh which um trash days and all that's uh those things, whatever all that entailed. Um for for me, uh I would I like to make a motion. [0:51:44, 0:51:46]: motion to approve the uh contract. [0:51:47, 0:51:48]: With you. [0:51:49, 0:51:53]: Okay, Miss Gantt, welcome. She seconded any further the conversation discussion. [0:51:55, 0:51:59]: Yeah, Ms. Mayor Potem, go ahead, please. Yes, I certainly support the approval. [0:51:59, 0:52:02]: uh of this measure the service has been [0:52:02, 0:52:05]: Good for me. Okay. I've heard some uh you know [0:52:05, 0:52:09]: There's been some grumbling in the community from time to time about [0:52:09, 0:52:11]: Some things that have happened, but [0:52:11, 0:52:14]: For the most part, I certainly appreciate when they pivoted. [0:52:14, 0:52:18]: Uh on Martin Luther King uh King Junior holiday weekend. [0:52:19, 0:52:28]: And they gave their employees the day off. I I certainly wanna thank you for doing that because you did it on a dime. You gave them the day off and then you bumped the schedule back. [0:52:28, 0:52:30]: Uh in real time. [0:52:30, 0:52:38]: So we understand each other and moving forward. We uh hopefully that'll be uh a yearly thing automatic. I got a couple of operational things. [0:52:39, 0:52:40]: I know that I've had [0:52:40, 0:52:43]: А капла сидис контакт мі. [0:52:44, 0:52:48]: When the trucks come through the neighborhoods and they're driving down. [0:52:48, 0:52:56]: People are saying that they're driving behind the truck and there's trash blowing off the back of the truck that is causing some of the litter that we're having. [0:52:57, 0:53:02]: And i is there a a s a provision where maybe we could have somebody to go out [0:53:03, 0:53:04]: And take a look. [0:53:04, 0:53:06]: At those corridors to see [0:53:06, 0:53:26]: uh what they look like after the trash day because I've heard that from several citizens that uh when the trash is getting put in there as the truck is driving down the road, they've had some some of those issues. If we could probably get that rectified, I think we would uh certainly be in in good shape because the service has been very consistent uh as far as I'm concerned. [0:53:26, 0:53:32]: concern and uh, you know, we just need to make sure that we're cognizant of when we get feedback. [0:53:32, 0:53:43]: No worries. Um whatever you guys need, um when it comes down to, you know, checking back on the streets, I'm very open for suggestions, but [0:53:43, 0:53:51]: I don't want to put it on the citizens as far as how they load their trash, but a lot of citizens, they put loose trash. [0:53:51, 0:54:02]: And when you pack it up, it blows out. It's not the customer's fault. It's our job to make sure we service those communities and pick up that trash. So when you guys have any issues with GM. [0:54:03, 0:54:10]: So I want to be the first one to know so I can address it and I will put my supervisors on a daily basis to go out there. [0:54:10, 0:54:20]: the streets and if they see something, say something so we can get it corrected. Um but I I I would love to hear from all of you from time to time what GFL [0:54:20, 0:54:25]: because my job is to make sure we don't fail and I want to continue this partnership for years to come. [0:54:27, 0:54:40]: Okay. And I'll tell you what, I appreciate that, Mr. Isaac. And I will tell you what I want to also say that I've called you several times about issues and concerns in in my particular neighborhood or things I've heard from other neighborhoods as well. And you've been very responsive. [0:54:41, 0:54:46]: And so I appreciate your service and your guidance and your leadership in reference to your team. It's worked out pretty well. [0:54:46, 0:55:01]: And so I want to thank you for that. You you've uh come to the rescue and you solve these problems. If there were problems or some minute little issue, but you took care of it. And you took care of it with uh with a smile and with leadership and got it resolved. So I really appreciate that as well. [0:55:01, 0:55:07]: If there are if there are any other comments, what are they? If not, we had a motion and a second. [0:55:08, 0:55:10]: So seeing none, all in favor of motion, please indicate. [0:55:12, 0:55:13]: Okay, all polls. [0:55:14, 0:55:15]: Abstain. [0:55:16, 0:55:19]: Abstain. Okay, so it's four zero four zero one. Okay. [0:55:19, 0:55:20]: Record. [0:55:21, 0:55:24]: Um, Clark, I don't have adequate information. [0:55:25, 0:55:26]: Oh well that's candy. [0:55:26, 0:55:27]: Okay. [0:55:27, 0:55:32]: More zero one. Thank you, Ms. Isaac. I appreciate uh your presentation. Appreciate you being with us this this evening. [0:55:33, 0:55:39]: I'm I'm sorry, Mayor. The um the council young lady, what is her name? Councilman, that's councilwoman barber. [0:55:39, 0:55:51]: M Miss Barber, is it is it possible that you and I can meet, have a conversation so I can clear up what GFL can do for the for for the city of Top Brees as well as for yourself? [0:55:51, 0:55:54]: I I want to clear up any question that you may have in [0:55:54, 0:55:55]: But we make sure that you understand. [0:55:56, 0:55:57]: Absolutely. Thank you. [0:55:57, 0:56:04]: I will I will send you an email tomorrow. I have your email address and we go to lunch. And and I just want to say one thing before I go. [0:56:05, 0:56:07]: V van Vanessa Harry [0:56:07, 0:56:08]: She's the bomb. [0:56:08, 0:56:18]: And you got a great, great person there, a great contact for me. I really appreciate the relationship and working with her. And I can't wait till we get to GMA. [0:56:18, 0:56:20]: Um it's been too long. [0:56:20, 0:56:24]: Mr. Isaac, thank you. You guys take care and thank you. [0:56:25, 0:56:25]: Okay, bye bye now. [0:56:26, 0:56:45]: Okay, we'll move on. The public works and events department are requesting that the city council declare the surplus inventory list below for wood and kitchen supplies unserviceable items since the items can no longer be used advantageously by city staff. Presented by Mr. Aaron, please. [0:56:50, 0:56:52]: Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I'll let Miss McGee. [0:56:53, 0:56:58]: speak to this matter since they're doing some partial renovations at the Merrymanders in the kitchen. [0:57:02, 0:57:03]: You see? [0:57:10, 0:57:11]: Yeah. [0:57:12, 0:57:16]: I think we we might have lost her. She might be lost her there for a second. Yeah. [0:57:18, 0:57:23]: She said uh she sent me a message says she can't get on. I thought she was I thought we saw her. [0:57:23, 0:57:25]: I thought I did too. Oh, Councilman Blount, go ahead, sir. [0:57:25, 0:57:32]: Uh Mr. Mr. Aaron is is these the items you sent over to us um that that are unusable that that was um [0:57:33, 0:57:36]: These uh look like uh kitchen items or whatever that's unusable. [0:57:37, 0:57:37]: Yes, sir. [0:57:38, 0:57:50]: I mean, there's nothing we can do with and why we I mean, uh I I don't if it if it pleased the will of the council, I would like to go ahead and approve it. Um, the disposal, however, you guys gonna do it though without the presentation because that's [0:57:51, 0:57:54]: Uh if it's all right with the council, I'll let you go ahead and approve it. [0:57:56, 0:58:03]: I'm if that's no objection. Then make a motion, sir. You make a motion? I'd like to make a motion to approve uh this item. [0:58:03, 0:58:04]: Is there a second? [0:58:05, 0:58:06]: I think [0:58:06, 0:58:08]: Just ten seconds that any further discussion. [0:58:10, 0:58:11]: Ms. Barber, go ahead, please. [0:58:12, 0:58:17]: Okay, so are these items that are being replaced with new items? [0:58:18, 0:58:19]: Mr. Aaron. [0:58:21, 0:58:26]: Yes, Councilmember Barbera, these items that are being surplused are being requested to be surplused have [0:58:27, 0:58:36]: outlived their useful life and they have been replaced and upgraded. So they're we're requesting that these items be declared surplus so the city can dispose of them. [0:58:38, 0:58:42]: Are these items operable? Do they work? [0:58:44, 0:58:50]: I'd have to uh speak Miss McGee to speak on it, but I I don't think they do. [0:58:51, 0:58:55]: Were these just items that were in inventory or something or? [0:58:55, 0:58:58]: We're doing renovation instead of Merrill Manders. I mean [0:58:59, 0:59:00]: [3540.6, 3550.2]: Go ahead, Deshaus. We're doing some renovations to the kitchen and these items have outused their useful outlived the out lasted their useful life and they're no longer serviceable. [0:59:10, 0:59:12]: For their intended usage. [0:59:15, 0:59:22]: Typically if items were put on if they were usable we would put them on gut deals or something like that. I believe these are beyond that. [0:59:23, 0:59:24]: Um [0:59:24, 0:59:31]: And uh these are just items that you know can't be fully used or placed on GUB deals to recoup any cost for. [0:59:35, 0:59:37]: Okay, any further questions? [0:59:38, 0:59:40]: Yes, ma'am. Go ahead, Councilman Barber. [0:59:41, 0:59:42]: So [0:59:43, 0:59:50]: Are these considered capital assets? I'm just curious because I know that we um approved the [0:59:50, 0:59:52]: Insurance. [0:59:52, 0:59:53]: How's he? [0:59:54, 0:59:56]: So are these items also included? [0:59:58, 1:00:00]: with the insurance policy that we just approved. [1:00:01, 1:00:04]: No, they're they're they're not they're not capital assets. [1:00:05, 1:00:07]: Camera assets is or items that are [1:00:08, 1:00:11]: That we would deem that that's over five thousand dollars. [1:00:12, 1:00:15]: These are not capital assets. These assets, these these are appliances. [1:00:16, 1:00:17]: That uh [1:00:18, 1:00:19]: Basically a job right now. [1:00:20, 1:00:24]: And we don't think we're gonna get anything on Gov Dale. So [1:00:25, 1:00:28]: Right now we're asking council, which by the ordinance. [1:00:28, 1:00:29]: We have to. [1:00:30, 1:00:31]: Before we throw'em away. [1:00:34, 1:00:39]: Now we we will before we throw'em away though, we will go back and see if it's something we can. [1:00:40, 1:00:42]: Put on Gov D up for one last time. [1:00:45, 1:00:48]: But most time when when when the public works, when he deems it [1:00:49, 1:00:51]: We can't use them on subscribe. [1:00:51, 1:00:52]: We just throw'em away. [1:00:56, 1:00:57]: Thank you. Mm-hmm. [1:00:57, 1:00:59]: Mirable Tim, Alexander Guay, please. [1:00:59, 1:01:05]: That begs the question, if we did put it on uh the dot gov site, is there a charge to do so? [1:01:09, 1:01:11]: Or is that just what we pay for the service? [1:01:13, 1:01:15]: No, there isn't a charge. [1:01:15, 1:01:21]: Okay, so w is there any harm enlisting them just to see whether or not they bring anything in? [1:01:21, 1:01:27]: No, there isn't. Once council approves it tonight, we'll automatically place it on Gov Deals and see what we can get on the bidding. [1:01:28, 1:01:35]: Okay, well let's do let's do that. Let's just not throw them away and just see what we can get for them. So yes, let's move forward. [1:01:35, 1:01:35]: Okay. [1:01:37, 1:01:40]: All right, so a motion is made in a second. Any further conversation? [1:01:42, 1:01:46]: All in favor of motion, please in the yes, uh one stand by, stand by folks. Miss Holiday. [1:01:46, 1:02:00]: I just want to make sure does the motion need to include that they will be placed on gov deals because that was made by a separate council member. I think that's uh I think they said that that's automatic. That's something they're gonna automatically do. Didn't you guys say that's something that you all is gonna automatically do? [1:02:00, 1:02:02]: I mean, I don't think it needs to be said. [1:02:03, 1:02:09]: Well, the treasurer said it wasn't required, then the procurement manager said that it would. So I just want clarification for the record. [1:02:10, 1:02:14]: We will put them on Gov deal if if if they can't sell within a year. [1:02:16, 1:02:16]: Um [1:02:17, 1:02:20]: We'll let council know that at that time when we can't sell'em. [1:02:21, 1:02:22]: We need to throw'em away. [1:02:23, 1:02:28]: I would clarify it in the motion that they be placed on gov deals if that's the pleasure of council. [1:02:29, 1:02:32]: Um, I like to include that it'd be placed on Gov deals. [1:02:33, 1:02:33]: Fair. [1:02:34, 1:02:36]: Uh yes, Ms. Uh [1:02:36, 1:02:37]: Yeah. [1:02:39, 1:02:56]: Ms. Grant? Um, yes. I I don't really need to know whether or not they sold or not on Gov Deal until the end if we kind of budget and show that we sold something for a surplus. I don't need I mean, we we already know the process. Go ahead and do it. If you get something out of it, great. Thank you. [1:02:57, 1:02:58]: All right. [1:02:58, 1:03:08]: Mayor mass say something. Yeah, go ahead, sir. If we say for a year we don't have storage room for it for these items. [1:03:09, 1:03:14]: So could we have a shorter time frame?'Cause we really don't have any storage room for [1:03:15, 1:03:16]: Items. [1:03:17, 1:03:21]: May Mayor, if you will. Go ahead, Mr. Blount. Go ahead. It's your motion, sir. [1:03:22, 1:03:33]: Uh Mayor, whatever their the staff deems is appropriate time to to post this and see if we can get anything from it, I'm fine with that. If it's unusable, what are we gonna do with it? [1:03:34, 1:03:37]: If it doesn't sell them good, then what we're gonna do, put them back in the Merrill Manders? [1:03:38, 1:03:51]: I mean, come on. You I mean, you know, we we'll we'll I mean staff, I I I believe you all are gonna post it. I believe you all, if we can get anything for it, you're gonna get it. And uh I'd just like for us to go ahead and uh prove this and keep moving. [1:03:52, 1:03:57]: All right, so let's make sure that we have the motion right. What do you have for the motion, Ms. Clerk, please? [1:03:57, 1:04:05]: The motion is to uh put the items on gov deals and to approve as stated. [1:04:06, 1:04:07]: That these items be surplused. [1:04:08, 1:04:16]: Uh the the motion is that the that we move to surplus these items and allow staff to replace them on gov deals at a deemed time that they that they uh [1:04:17, 1:04:19]: uh that they deem is the appropriate time for. [1:04:21, 1:04:21]: А сек [1:04:22, 1:04:23]: All right. [1:04:24, 1:04:26]: Ms. Alda, you have that correct now? [1:04:27, 1:04:28]: Yes, sir. [1:04:28, 1:04:30]: All right. Any further conversation? [1:04:31, 1:04:33]: If not, all favored motion please indicate. [1:04:34, 1:04:34]: Uh [1:04:35, 1:04:45]: Okay. It's a unanimous decision. Fantastic. Thank you very much. All right. Uh what's next is a council on aging board appointment presented by Mr. Washington, please. [1:04:48, 1:04:55]: No, there was a Miss Barber now getting Mr. Night to help out who's of no relation to Councilwoman Barber who was interested in this position. [1:04:55, 1:04:59]: And I guess at this time I guess Mr. Night you can tell me. [1:05:01, 1:05:03]: Um, what else needs to be presented before the council? [1:05:04, 1:05:14]: Well, let before Mr. Night, normally what happens when we have this it deals with citizens here, typically we go into Zegar session and discuss it and then come out of Zegar session and and and make our [1:05:14, 1:05:15]: Or vote known. [1:05:16, 1:05:21]: Uh unless un unless the the the council doesn't want to do that. I mean there are two individuals here. [1:05:21, 1:05:26]: So um and I don't know if I know either person know either one of them myself, but uh [1:05:26, 1:05:29]: Anyway, that's typically what happens, Mr Washington. Two individuals. [1:05:29, 1:05:31]: Okay. [1:05:31, 1:05:32]: Isn't there only two? [1:05:32, 1:05:34]: I thought it was one. [1:05:34, 1:05:37]: There's two. [1:05:37, 1:05:41]: Okay, and and and and there's only one position available or two positions? [1:05:41, 1:05:48]: That is correct. And just um to state for the history, the previous um representative has moved out of the area. [1:05:49, 1:05:49]: Okay. [1:05:51, 1:05:55]: All right. Mr. Nine, uh Mr Washington asked you a question, sir. I don't [1:05:55, 1:05:56]: If you want to respond to that. [1:05:56, 1:06:01]: No, I I think you answered the question that, you know, you've got um two citizens here who [1:06:02, 1:06:07]: um, are candidates for this board and typically the council discusses that in executive session. [1:06:07, 1:06:08]: Makes determination. [1:06:09, 1:06:11]: Well, I didn't know there was anything else I needed there. [1:06:13, 1:06:17]: Well that's that's why I mentioned it. That's that typically that's what happens. Uh we got one position, two people. [1:06:17, 1:06:23]: And we typically go in since it's personnel a type issue and appointment, we go into a single session and discuss it, then come back out. [1:06:23, 1:06:32]: Okay. That's that's what we typically do, counsel. Is that if that's the case, we'll do that tonight, unless somehow there's a consensus not to do that with this these two individuals. [1:06:33, 1:06:40]: Mayor, if you don't mind, uh if you will I I think that we have two candidates. [1:06:40, 1:06:51]: And we have to make that choice. I think that it's best to make that choice behind closed doors and come back and give uh our appointment. Okay, I gotcha. I understand. So we'll uh if that's if that's the case, uh we'll we'll do that. [1:06:52, 1:07:01]: And we'll come back from executive session and make that announcement at that point. Okay, on that note then um HB 317 collecting tax for short-term rentals. [1:07:01, 1:07:03]: Once again, Mr. Washington, it's on you, sir. [1:07:04, 1:07:09]: Yeah. This is just a hotel motel excise tax. [1:07:09, 1:07:12]: that we're asking for you all's support of. [1:07:12, 1:07:17]: And the fund management will be the unrestricted HMT collections and special revenue. [1:07:17, 1:07:18]: B [1:07:19, 1:07:33]: Revenue that we listed here is for the hotels and the motels that would be in City of Stockbridge. And this is the House Ways and Means Bill that was submitted in that this was House Bill 317, which was submitted. [1:07:35, 1:07:37]: with this as part of joining the legislature. [1:07:37, 1:07:40]: And so we would be asking for [1:07:41, 1:07:44]: You all's participation in supporting this. [1:07:45, 1:07:46]: And we would just draft the [1:07:48, 1:07:51]: I'm realizing you all y'all aren't seeing what I'm looking at on my screen. So [1:07:52, 1:07:52]: That irrelevant. [1:07:53, 1:07:55]: We would just draft the [1:07:55, 1:07:57]: You would just draft the appropriate resolution. [1:07:58, 1:07:58]: Format. [1:07:59, 1:08:01]: Well actually an ordinance format for this. [1:08:02, 1:08:03]: To be able to be adopted. [1:08:04, 1:08:05]: Okay. [1:08:06, 1:08:08]: Uh questions uh for Mr. Washington. [1:08:09, 1:08:18]: I'm assuming that uh howdy lay that out that you're an you're accept that. If that's the case, uh we need a motion to accept to his proposal in this aspect. [1:08:19, 1:08:26]: Is there a move? So move. Mayor Pro Tem. Okay, so moved. Is there a second? Mayor okay, council, Councilman Blount, second that. [1:08:26, 1:08:28]: Any further discussion? [1:08:28, 1:08:33]: I would just like to say a couple of words is that so the folks understand what's going on. [1:08:33, 1:08:35]: Uh you know the things that the city is working on. [1:08:36, 1:08:42]: Uh like the wayfinding sign it so you actually know where a building is, where you will know where the amphitheater is. [1:08:42, 1:08:44]: Well, you know where our city limits is. [1:08:45, 1:08:47]: Those types of things are full are funded by [1:08:47, 1:08:49]: The whole tail multi on text. [1:08:49, 1:08:54]: I was at a very excellent uh retreat with the Main Street Advisory Board. [1:08:54, 1:08:56]: And the D D A. [1:08:56, 1:09:00]: We talked about tourism, and I know tourism is one of the things that you can [1:09:00, 1:09:01]: Um [1:09:01, 1:09:02]: You can support. [1:09:03, 1:09:05]: uh with the hotel motel tax. [1:09:05, 1:09:10]: And I heard a great idea from uh this uh the advisory board that they wanted [1:09:10, 1:09:12]: To present a statue. [1:09:12, 1:09:14]: Of the King family with their [1:09:14, 1:09:16]: Uh with their permission. [1:09:16, 1:09:21]: Of course, uh up in in in downtown Stockbridge. They working on a mural. [1:09:21, 1:09:22]: Those types of things apply. [1:09:23, 1:09:25]: uh for this as well as [1:09:25, 1:09:34]: uh you know, uh other items. So understanding that these dollars will be put to good use and uh they're uh commensurate with the surrounding jurisdictions. [1:09:35, 1:09:40]: Any other questions? Understand if not, the motion is made and seconded. [1:09:41, 1:09:42]: All in favor of the motion, please indicate. [1:09:44, 1:09:47]: I okay now decision. Fantastic. [1:09:48, 1:09:53]: And for discussion's sake, uh we're gonna talk about uh T S PLOSS. Uh Mr. Knighton, please. [1:09:58, 1:10:03]: Uh yes, Mayor Ford. I will uh attempt it to share my screen here in just a moment. [1:10:03, 1:10:09]: This relates to the uh transportation proposed transportation splots that will be coming up by vote. [1:10:10, 1:10:11]: uh in november [1:10:11, 1:10:14]: Um Henry County, um [1:10:15, 1:10:16]: Probably early to mid July. [1:10:17, 1:10:22]: Um, we'll call for that referendum, essentially call for that referendum to be placed on the ballot. [1:10:22, 1:10:24]: uh for a November boat. [1:10:24, 1:10:27]: Oh, from we have discussed from time to time. [1:10:27, 1:10:29]: Um the [1:10:30, 1:10:31]: Is much easier. [1:10:32, 1:10:35]: From time to time we have discussed the um [1:10:35, 1:10:36]: Uh [1:10:36, 1:10:40]: various items that would be potentially on a T Splost. [1:10:41, 1:10:44]: And uh the different projects that would be [1:10:44, 1:10:48]: Uh on that particular list from the city of Stockbridge. [1:10:50, 1:10:51]: All right, there we go. [1:10:52, 1:10:54]: All right, let me see if I can share. [1:10:57, 1:10:57]: One [1:10:59, 1:11:01]: Can everyone see my screen here? [1:11:02, 1:11:04]: Now we can, yes sir. Go right ahead. Okay, good. All right. [1:11:05, 1:11:11]: All right, I'll go through this for uh for for you council and also for the viewing public as well. [1:11:12, 1:11:15]: Uh, because we will the city will need to make some decisions. [1:11:16, 1:11:17]: With respect to this. [1:11:17, 1:11:24]: Course, um, as always, we start with our vision statement, which is important to be the most progressive business and family oriented community. [1:11:25, 1:11:31]: in Metro Atlanta with an enhanced or focus on enhanced quality of life initiatives which promote a sustainable live, work, play environment. [1:11:32, 1:11:34]: And certainly transportation and trails. [1:11:35, 1:11:37]: Walkability functionality. [1:11:37, 1:11:39]: is something that um [1:11:39, 1:11:41]: supports that mission statement. [1:11:42, 1:11:47]: The T spas is expected to generate two hundred and forty five to two hundred and fifty million dollar total. [1:11:47, 1:11:51]: Uh in the county, um as you recall back in April. [1:11:51, 1:11:57]: Uh, when there was a uh called meeting of the county and all of the city jurisdictions. [1:11:57, 1:12:01]: County expects city contribution on certain projects. [1:12:11, 1:12:12]: It looks like uh [1:12:12, 1:12:13]: Something got stuck here. [1:12:19, 1:12:19]: All right. [1:12:21, 1:12:24]: Well, I may have to refer to you all. You should have um [1:12:25, 1:12:27]: Receive this item. I don't know what just happened here. [1:12:28, 1:12:29]: Um [1:12:30, 1:12:36]: But basically the um city would be expected city city of Stockbridge would be expected to receive [1:12:36, 1:12:40]: In the range of twenty five to thirty milyen dollars. [1:12:40, 1:12:42]: There are a couple of things that the county is seeking. [1:12:43, 1:12:45]: Um the city to provide some direction. [1:12:46, 1:12:47]: Or the city needs to determine. [1:12:48, 1:12:49]: One of which [1:12:49, 1:12:54]: Um would be um the percentage split. As you recall, there have been some [1:12:55, 1:12:58]: Concerns about various percentage splits, the cities. [1:12:58, 1:13:01]: Uh, were more in tune of working off of a [1:13:02, 1:13:04]: Percentage split based on population. [1:13:05, 1:13:09]: And um the county had uh a various [1:13:10, 1:13:12]: Um options that they propose, but [1:13:13, 1:13:15]: Um the cities proposed working off of population. [1:13:16, 1:13:19]: And then the other item was related to [1:13:20, 1:13:30]: the um city um uh share or contribution to um to the um [1:13:31, 1:13:35]: uh T S PLOST itself. In other words, there were a couple of projects, one of which was [1:13:36, 1:13:37]: The um [1:13:38, 1:13:40]: project related to Hudson Bridge Road. [1:13:41, 1:13:42]: I'm gonna try this again. [1:13:43, 1:13:44]: Hudson Bridge Road. [1:13:44, 1:13:47]: And uh Eagles Landing Parkway. [1:13:47, 1:13:49]: And some [1:13:49, 1:13:50]: Mm-hmm. [1:13:50, 1:13:52]: Contribution there. [1:13:53, 1:13:53]: All right. [1:13:54, 1:13:59]: Can you s can you see that, Mayor and Council? Yes, yeah, we can okay. We'll leave it there. Thank you. We'll leave it there. [1:14:00, 1:14:04]: Um so Rock Quarry World riding from Hudson Bridge to Hospital Drive. [1:14:04, 1:14:12]: State Route 138, that's 2.45 miles. The split based on lane miles is 70-30, which the county proposed. [1:14:12, 1:14:20]: And once stock bridge to contribute eighteen million dollars, as you see in Henry County contribute eight million dollars. Again, this is what was mentioned at the last. [1:14:21, 1:14:23]: uh the uh joint meeting and I wanna make sure that we [1:14:24, 1:14:25]: uh address that particular issue. [1:14:27, 1:14:27]: The next item [1:14:28, 1:14:33]: Hudson Bridge Road and Eagles Landing Parkway resurfacing from Millis Drive to State Route 42. [1:14:33, 1:14:39]: Total of two point nine miles. That split is thirty point five percent, sixty-nine point five percent. [1:14:39, 1:14:44]: Stockbridge's contribution would be four hundred and eighty-nine thousand nine hundred and eighty-two dollars. [1:14:44, 1:14:53]: Henry Counties is$1.116 million. Again, this is what the county proposed in terms of a split in share. [1:14:53, 1:14:56]: For those particular roadway projects. [1:14:56, 1:14:59]: Um that traverse both jurisdictions. [1:14:59, 1:15:05]: This is a uh a just component of our bicycle, pedestrian, and trail plan. Obviously that's very important. [1:15:05, 1:15:07]: It was seeking to implement. [1:15:07, 1:15:10]: And then this list is a list you've seen before. [1:15:10, 1:15:12]: Um that [1:15:12, 1:15:21]: uh is a proposed list of projects for the city of Stockbridge as it relates to the T Splost. As you can see there, there are a number of projects that deal with [1:15:22, 1:15:25]: Um some curbing gutter sidewalks and widening. [1:15:25, 1:15:33]: Uh resurfacing and sidewalks on Davison Parkway, Old Atlanta Road, Tie Street sidewalks, Davis Road, Curb and Gutter and Sidewalks. [1:15:33, 1:15:34]: Reeves Creek Trail. [1:15:34, 1:15:39]: M L K Heritage Trail, um the extension of the um [1:15:40, 1:15:40]: Um [1:15:41, 1:15:44]: uh potential trailhead location with Reeves Creek Trail link. [1:15:45, 1:15:51]: Um and also a country club drive, uh traffic and safety improvements at a million dollars, and then Burke Street. [1:15:51, 1:15:56]: uh pedestrian improvement sidewalks love street as well as well as Walt Stevens Road Trail. [1:15:57, 1:16:03]: One of the things that is of of utmost importance, um, I believe, um based on council. [1:16:03, 1:16:06]: uh comments as well is connectivity. [1:16:06, 1:16:09]: Um, especially throughout our downtown. [1:16:09, 1:16:14]: Uh with respect to obviously city hall, the amphitheater, municipal court, you've got Clark Park. [1:16:14, 1:16:17]: Garden Park Merrill Manders Conference Center. [1:16:17, 1:16:21]: We've got the what is the Ted Stricton facility that'll be uh renovated. [1:16:21, 1:16:23]: Мейн стріт офіс. [1:16:23, 1:16:30]: You have the library, the tag office, and then you have of course the Martin Luther King Herit uh Martin Luther King Senior Heritage Trail. [1:16:30, 1:16:35]: Uh and then over to uh Memorial Park. So if you look at all of these public facilities. [1:16:35, 1:16:39]: Uh, they're really within about a mile and a quarter, mile and a half of one another. [1:16:39, 1:16:42]: And to be able to provide uh a [1:16:42, 1:16:43]: Um pedestrian [1:16:44, 1:16:46]: Um аксес. [1:16:46, 1:16:52]: And connectivity uh throughout the traditional downtown, as well as obviously you see some other road projects on there. [1:16:52, 1:16:55]: Is the impetus for uh this particular list? [1:16:56, 1:17:00]: Um again, uh a couple of things that would need to be determined by the council. [1:17:00, 1:17:04]: is um the population sp or the the percentage split. [1:17:05, 1:17:08]: Also, if there is a desire to [1:17:08, 1:17:15]: Um, contribute to any one of those road projects, the Rock Fori Road Widening or the Eagles Landing Hudson Bridge Resurfacing Project. [1:17:16, 1:17:19]: And then uh if there's anything on this particular list. [1:17:20, 1:17:25]: um that the council wants to see modified or anything that you would like to see included. [1:17:25, 1:17:29]: And so with that, Mayor, I will uh stop sharing the screen for a moment. [1:17:30, 1:17:50]: And um uh obviously entertain any questions or thoughts from the council. Well let me ask you this. I there was a time time frame we had to give a uh some type of maybe I missed this. I I don't know. If you said this, shame on me if I missed it, but I thought there was a we have to give the uh Henry County government an answer on what what we're gonna do here here shortly, I believe. [1:17:50, 1:18:05]: sometime this month, is that correct or is that next month? Well, right. Originally it was mid June, which is why I'm bringing this now. Okay. However, I talked to uh the Henry County Transportation Planner um in fact uh late this this evening and uh he said he mentioned by the end of the month [1:18:06, 1:18:09]: Okay. So if this is something that you still need to ponder. [1:18:09, 1:18:12]: Obviously, I think we have an opportunity to do that. [1:18:13, 1:18:18]: But we will certainly need to come back at the next meeting and make some definitive decisions with respect to these items. [1:18:19, 1:18:21]: Councilman Blanc, go ahead, please. [1:18:23, 1:18:26]: Yeah, Mr. Knight and um and this is kind of [1:18:27, 1:18:31]: in line with uh roads when it comes to the city of Stockbridge. [1:18:32, 1:18:35]: One of the projects pertaining to Rose was kind of [1:18:35, 1:18:39]: You know, a thing of the past now, which was an extension of Rock Quarry Road. [1:18:40, 1:18:50]: uh what is the what is district four and district five gonna do about the millions of dollars that they were pulled from from the city area stockbridge pertaining to roads that they could apply to this [1:18:51, 1:19:05]: Instead of looking at the city of Stockbridge right now, first of all, reapplying the money that was allotted to that road in itself, the widening rock core uh extension, which could have been redirected to the widening because it's still dealing with roads. [1:19:06, 1:19:12]: uh with splot when is that when where the negotiation for that money is to be returned to the city areas of stockbridge. [1:19:15, 1:19:20]: See, we're just because because the I'm sorry, the questions are about how much money we're gonna put in. [1:19:21, 1:19:25]: But we'll but for me, I'm asking the question of when will the monies be returned? [1:19:26, 1:19:31]: to the cities of the city of Stockbridge that the that the that the citizens of Stockbridge paid into splots for. [1:19:35, 1:19:44]: Well, uh I I uh if if the you're talking about the extension of Rock Court Road, and I understand that maybe some monies have been shifted here or there or to other places. [1:19:44, 1:19:46]: Think that's what might we may be alluding to. [1:19:47, 1:19:53]: Um, you know, I I had asked some questions pertaining to Rock Quarry Road and Rock Quarry Road in particular and the funds that have been [1:19:54, 1:19:55]: Um [1:19:55, 1:19:58]: provided uh previously to Rock Quarry Road. [1:19:59, 1:20:00]: Um, if the question is [1:20:01, 1:20:01]: And thank you. [1:20:03, 1:20:06]: We I think the council needs to make a decision regarding this D's plus. [1:20:06, 1:20:11]: If the question is then if there is some concern about what has happened in the past. [1:20:11, 1:20:18]: then the then then the council can look at that and determine that there won't be any contribution on these particular roadway projects. [1:20:18, 1:20:25]: uh be it Hudson Bridge or Rockford Road. Now there is some some some funds that were specifically designated. [1:20:27, 1:20:29]: For a project in Stockbridge. [1:20:29, 1:20:32]: The city has not received or the project. [1:20:33, 1:20:34]: Has not come to fruition. [1:20:35, 1:20:37]: Then that is a question that [1:20:37, 1:20:41]: Certainly warren's asking and determining where those funds may have gone. [1:20:42, 1:20:46]: Well in in this in and let me let me go ahead and clarif get some clari clarify this. [1:20:47, 1:20:55]: Even if the when we talk about working collaborately with the county in funding for these roads. [1:20:55, 1:21:05]: Uh I think that we have to sit at the table altogether and talk about the totality of funds that that that are needed and how we fit into this. Um [1:21:06, 1:21:15]: I think that when we look at the the portion that we're gonna be putting in in certain roles with with the city of Stockbridge, I I think it's kind of a bit a lot, but [1:21:16, 1:21:21]: It needs to be done, but I think that we really need to evaluate and look over what's what's going on because when you [1:21:21, 1:21:26]: Those funds have been utilized. Let me go go there. [1:21:27, 1:21:29]: But how do we now come back? [1:21:30, 1:21:34]: District four, district five, and the city of Stockbridge to two. [1:21:34, 1:21:37]: sit at the table and make these things happen. [1:21:37, 1:21:38]: Mm. [1:21:39, 1:21:42]: Other than the per I think these percent for me. [1:21:42, 1:21:49]: Uh I'm I'm okay with the Hudson Bridge road percentage, but I think to to me, I think the other percentage is kind of high for the City Stockbridge. [1:21:49, 1:21:57]: Because remember this now, because I'm not suggesting that you do necessarily make determinations about contribution or or how much that's your decision to make. [1:21:58, 1:22:05]: But the list that I showed with those uh trail projects, sidewall projects, and road projects for the city of Stockbridge that actually totaled$29 million. [1:22:05, 1:22:07]: Anything that you are [1:22:07, 1:22:09]: going to contribute. [1:22:09, 1:22:11]: To those other road projects that I mentioned. [1:22:12, 1:22:16]: is going to have to be subtracted from that particular list. [1:22:16, 1:22:18]: I just want that to be clear. [1:22:20, 1:22:24]: Okay, yeah, but stand by please. Mayor Mayor Pro Tem, go ahead, please. [1:22:24, 1:22:30]: Yeah, and understanding uh what Councilman Blount said, there was four million dollars that was allocated [1:22:30, 1:22:35]: to the East Atlanta Road Extension, which is a project that certainly could have benefited [1:22:35, 1:22:39]: The amphitheater with additional access. So that four million dollars was. [1:22:39, 1:22:40]: Moved away. [1:22:41, 1:22:44]: Uh from downtown Stockbridge, it was allocated. [1:22:44, 1:22:47]: Реалока то але кани проєкts. [1:22:47, 1:22:53]: Uh there was two million dollars uh for the flipping road sidewalks. There's no sidewalks on flipping road. [1:22:53, 1:22:56]: That is a separate discussion because the law [1:22:56, 1:23:00]: Requires that these projects, the voters completed. [1:23:00, 1:23:06]: uh uh voted on and approved be completed at some point. That's the splash law. [1:23:06, 1:23:07]: I'm not sure how. [1:23:08, 1:23:09]: They're able to not do that. [1:23:10, 1:23:11]: As a part of [1:23:11, 1:23:15]: uh what the law is because it requires them to complete these projects. So [1:23:15, 1:23:17]: We need uh that's probably maybe like a [1:23:18, 1:23:23]: legal thing that we need to really talk to our attorneys about. Is there any recourse [1:23:23, 1:23:25]: uh under the splash law to [1:23:25, 1:23:33]: Recoup those funds. And in discussing what we're dealing with now in terms of the T-SPLOST, the window is very short. [1:23:34, 1:23:45]: And honestly, we we we need uh these funds. The twenty million dollars in additional funds will help us to be able to build uh our master trail plan. And understanding this. [1:23:45, 1:23:48]: There's no way possible. [1:23:48, 1:23:52]: for those those formulas to work so no [1:23:52, 1:24:04]: We the formulas are not gonna work where the city budget is twelve million dollars a year and the new county budget is like a hundred and ninety million dollars. If we're paying sixty percent. [1:24:04, 1:24:06]: Those road projects will never happen. [1:24:07, 1:24:15]: And I keep uh wanting to understand that these citizens who live in Stockbridge cast ballots countywide. [1:24:15, 1:24:25]: Uh so I mean for the county election of those two commissioners. So when they come to these citizens and they ask for their vote, they don't they don't say to them, you know. [1:24:25, 1:24:36]: All of your road or or 70% of your roads need to be taken care of by the city and and then 30% us. How would we ever come up with that funding? The county receives [1:24:36, 1:24:40]: All of the funding, a hundred and ninety million dollars, to do [1:24:41, 1:24:54]: Just that. And every and you can't say that the county's not benefiting from uh the funding that's going into Rock Quarry Road or all all of those those that benefits all of us. And they're reaping a windfall. [1:24:54, 1:24:57]: uh over these collections because they're up tremendously. [1:24:58, 1:25:00]: And the the city needs to make sure that [1:25:00, 1:25:02]: We move forward. [1:25:02, 1:25:05]: To approve this. You know, last time we got into this dispute. [1:25:06, 1:25:17]: uh with the county between twenty-five and and thirty percent and we ended up losing several million dollars when they decided to go in another direction. Unfortunately the splotch laws and even the T splotch laws [1:25:17, 1:25:29]: or vo uh or written in favor of the county because the county calls these particular elections and should and with the relationship that we have they gone on their own and left us out. [1:25:29, 1:25:41]: was cost us six million dollars on the last floss. So we gotta be we gotta be we gotta make prudent decisions in order for us to move forward because there's we just cannot afford not to have [1:25:41, 1:25:45]: Uh this T Splus funding with traffic backed up every single day in our city. [1:25:47, 1:25:49]: Councilwoman uh Gantt, go ahead, please. [1:25:51, 1:25:54]: Thank you, Mayor. Um, I'm agreeing with [1:25:54, 1:26:02]: But both of my colleagues, I I do want to say that I believe that Commissioner District Number Four is willing to work with us. [1:26:03, 1:26:08]: On certain projects jointly, however, I also have some concerns. [1:26:08, 1:26:09]: Um [1:26:09, 1:26:14]: based off of the formula that was presented to us by the county. [1:26:14, 1:26:17]: We wouldn't be able to do any of the road projects. [1:26:18, 1:26:24]: I hope that all of my colleagues here are agreeing that we do want the teeth gloss. [1:26:25, 1:26:28]: But it sounds like negotiation's gonna be towards what [1:26:29, 1:26:34]: formula or what roads are we gonna agree to work with the county on jointly. [1:26:34, 1:26:45]: And currently, although it is badly needed, and when I say badly needed, Rock Quarry Road expansion, I mean you know, to to widen that road. [1:26:45, 1:26:47]: Is is [1:26:48, 1:27:02]: ambulances going to a hospital that is actually within the county and not in the city limits. The impact of the road is from the hospital. And that's some other things that we need to discuss as well. [1:27:02, 1:27:22]: However, it is unreasonable to think that we can agree to the formula that is presented as is as of now. And what I want to know from legal and from um from our uh Mr. Knighton is where are we with those particular negotiations? Um, because I we I would love to get our mass. [1:27:22, 1:27:24]: the trail plan up and running. [1:27:24, 1:27:29]: Um that would benefit us, but based off of the formula right now, just so the public knows. [1:27:29, 1:27:40]: we we wouldn't be able to do anything because all our money would be going towards county projects, joint county projects for a few roads and they have the majority of the funds. [1:27:41, 1:27:42]: So [1:27:42, 1:27:46]: In in addition to that, when it comes to splots and reallocating funds. [1:27:47, 1:27:59]: Um the projects that the money that was reallocated was sent over to a park up in the Fairview area that is not within the city limits of Stockbridge. It was a single park. [1:27:59, 1:28:13]: Um those things are documented in black and white and can be seen from anyone by anyone. And so we do need to make those points and efforts. Whether or not we'll be able to retrieve that back, I I don't know. [1:28:13, 1:28:19]: Um but uh we've known as Sotridge to honor our side of the bargaining. [1:28:20, 1:28:26]: portion. So I'm just asking that we, you know, if we're gonna go ahead and move forward with this. [1:28:27, 1:28:39]: We're moving forward, but we have plans for roads and we have plans. I mean, we have plans for our master trail and for our downtown area, but the funding is not there if we are, you know. So so what's the next step? [1:28:42, 1:28:45]: Well, I I think the issue though is [1:28:46, 1:28:47]: You know [1:28:47, 1:28:51]: What is the answer from the city with respect to those two projects that I've mentioned? [1:28:52, 1:28:56]: Your answer could be that um you don't desire to contribute anything. [1:28:57, 1:28:59]: And that you desire to [1:28:59, 1:29:05]: um move forward with the list of projects in the city of Stockbridge that I recounted uh uh just a while ago. [1:29:06, 1:29:09]: You could determine that you uh want to contribute to. [1:29:09, 1:29:15]: uh to a a certain point on those road projects, not the full amount that's listed or [1:29:15, 1:29:19]: That was mentioned by the county, you may want to contribute a certain amount. [1:29:20, 1:29:21]: Um or [1:29:21, 1:29:26]: Um you may want to decide that you want to contribute the full amount. Doesn't sound like you want to do that. [1:29:27, 1:29:31]: Um but um those are options that uh that you have and [1:29:32, 1:29:35]: And obviously as a sovereign city, you can make that decision. [1:29:35, 1:29:45]: And and let the county know this is where the city has landed with respect to T Sploss, that you believe that is in the best interest of the citizens of Stockbridge and Henry County. [1:29:46, 1:29:48]: Um, based on the ultimate determination you make. [1:29:50, 1:29:55]: And then also there has to be a master uh a master list, a master transportation list. [1:29:55, 1:29:59]: It's going the the county is going to have to decide as well in mid July. [1:30:00, 1:30:06]: Well what it is before uh stand by what I imagine we could have discussion tonight and then [1:30:06, 1:30:26]: And potentially once the meeting ends, have continue to have discussion and make a final decision at our next meeting, our work session, um if that's the case. Uh and because you said that uh today that you got a word that they don't necessarily need and know until the end of the month. And so we will meet at least officially one more time before the end of the month. But that's just food for thought for the rest of the council. [1:30:26, 1:30:27]: Mayor Pro Tem, go ahead, please. [1:30:29, 1:30:35]: Uh one of the things that we should understand is that we have an existing agreement with the county. [1:30:35, 1:30:55]: That they enforced on the last PLOS at 75-25. That's the way that it has always traditionally been. If there was gonna be, it was it was broken down between 75-25. So I'm not sure how they came up with this new formula that the city would be contributing 60 and 70. [1:30:55, 1:31:15]: 70%, the month the the the old formula seemed to be better because understanding is split based on how much of the funding that you receive from SWAS. So that would seem more reasonable uh for us to continue along the same process that they insisted upon. [1:31:15, 1:31:15]: Yeah. [1:31:15, 1:31:18]: Uh on the last flash, which was seventy five, twenty-five. [1:31:19, 1:31:20]: Uh, should we decide? [1:31:20, 1:31:21]: Uh to contribute. [1:31:22, 1:31:26]: Let me if I may, Mayor, let me make one point'cause I want to make sure this is clear. [1:31:27, 1:31:32]: The two projects that I showed, Hudson Bridge and Eagles Landing Parkway, and then the Rock Court Road project. [1:31:32, 1:31:46]: Those are based on lane miles. Those are based on how much of those roads go through the city of Stockbridge versus unincorporated. That's their breakdown. Okay. That's why they presented it that way. Okay. And they're asking for the city to contribute. [1:31:47, 1:31:48]: The overall collection. [1:31:49, 1:31:53]: In terms of a seventy five, twenty-five, as you mentioned, mayor pro tem or seventy thirty. [1:31:53, 1:31:57]: The overall collection of how they're split by the city, that's a different calculation. [1:31:58, 1:32:01]: based on in the cities of Sey, that should be based on population. [1:32:01, 1:32:05]: Now the the county seemingly was a lot more receptive. [1:32:05, 1:32:09]: To the population breakdown, which would be about thirty percent for us. [1:32:09, 1:32:12]: population break uh for the cities, I'm sorry, overall. [1:32:12, 1:32:17]: Музмо рецепти в популяцію. [1:32:17, 1:32:22]: uh for the T Splos as opposed to the traditional SPLOS that was passed uh previous year. [1:32:25, 1:32:28]: Okay, thank you for that. Any further questions or comments? [1:32:28, 1:32:31]: Council. Miss Barber, go ahead, please. [1:32:31, 1:32:39]: Yeah, I just wanted to ask Mr. Knighton, looking at the map, it indicates the potential trailhead and linked to Reeves Creek Trail. [1:32:39, 1:32:40]: Uh-huh. [1:32:40, 1:32:42]: Can you tell me which end? [1:32:42, 1:32:43]: Um [1:32:45, 1:32:48]: Martin Luther King Senior Heritage, where this trailhead would be. [1:32:50, 1:32:52]: Can't tell based on this map. Let me see. [1:32:53, 1:32:58]: It would be um I'm sorry, which which side of [1:32:59, 1:32:59]: Mm. [1:33:00, 1:33:01]: The [1:33:01, 1:33:05]: So I'm looking at the table that's included on the map and it says in the [1:33:06, 1:33:07]: See your hair display. [1:33:08, 1:33:10]: But then it also lists [1:33:10, 1:33:13]: Several of the connecting points, I guess. One of [1:33:14, 1:33:15]: Potentially friendly. [1:33:16, 1:33:18]: And Lee Lee's Creek Trail. [1:33:18, 1:33:29]: Sir I would think it'd be Memorial Park is where it would be. That's what I would think. But anyway, yes, go ahead and map protect. [1:33:29, 1:33:32]: of the parking at Memorial Ro Memorial. [1:33:32, 1:33:37]: uh part that was the desire. We talked about it at that time when we discussed it. [1:33:37, 1:33:38]: But there's no particular [1:33:39, 1:33:41]: uh piece parcel that has been acquired. [1:33:41, 1:33:46]: uh as of yet and I don't think we want to talk about which parcel in public. [1:33:46, 1:33:49]: Right. Yep. That's right. Okay. That's right. Thank you. [1:33:52, 1:33:55]: All right, yeah, okay. Any other comments or questions? [1:33:57, 1:34:17]: All right, so I made a s a suggestion or a thought process. I mean, we'll could probably continue this on for another week or so and make a final decision uh at our next meeting. Uh or is that that the the consensus here on this particular issue further discussion? Uh if that's if that's the case, if there are no other comments then we will do that. And [1:34:17, 1:34:21]: and uh we'll make a consolidated uh decision. [1:34:21, 1:34:24]: In a little bit, in about ten to twelve days or so. [1:34:24, 1:34:25]: All right. [1:34:25, 1:34:30]: If there's no other comments, then I'm gonna move out of discussion and I'll go into my particular comments. [1:34:30, 1:34:32]: I'm I'm sorry, Mr. Night, you have something, sir? [1:34:33, 1:34:34]: Are you good? Okay. [1:34:35, 1:34:36]: I'll go into my particular comments. [1:34:36, 1:34:40]: Uh today's the fourteenth of June and believe it or not, today is what you call flag day. [1:34:41, 1:34:50]: It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the US, United States of America, what happened on uh fourteenth June, nine uh excuse me, fourteenth June 1777. [1:34:50, 1:34:52]: by resolution of the second congressional [1:34:53, 1:35:00]: uh Continental Congress. So our flag that we salute that we pledged to earlier this evening is two hundred and forty-four years old today. [1:35:00, 1:35:02]: Just wanna let you know that. [1:35:03, 1:35:05]: Uh I attended a um [1:35:05, 1:35:13]: A an activity with the youth council, our Stockbridge Youth Council, a couple of days ago. And it was a it was an activity to honor. [1:35:13, 1:35:19]: the youth council members that are seniors that have graduated or or that graduated high school and move on to college. [1:35:19, 1:35:37]: And those three individuals were Jaden Williams, uh Creighton Carr, and Brittany Brown. All three of those individuals received certificates of completion as members of the Stop at Youth Council, which has obviously been very difficult uh to to do, to do all the things they had to do this year based on the on the pandemic, which we're all living through. [1:35:38, 1:35:42]: Then also Mr. Jaden Williams received a letter of commendation. [1:35:42, 1:35:52]: uh from me in reference to all the things that he has done uh during his uh high school career, Dutch on high school, all the things he's done with NWACP, youth council, things of that nature. [1:35:52, 1:35:56]: So I wanted you to let you know about those three individuals that are moving on to college. [1:35:56, 1:36:00]: And they've been uh they served the the youth council very well. [1:36:00, 1:36:15]: And I if I understand this correctly, our youth council uh is going to be very active this year. I believe they're uh they've got at least 15 applicants, uh additional applicants to join the the the individuals that are on the youth council right now. So that's fantastic. [1:36:15, 1:36:18]: Uh so I look forward to have a great year again. [1:36:19, 1:36:23]: As you well know, the COVID nineteen, the coronavirus is still with us. [1:36:24, 1:36:34]: Uh but things are getting better. Uh things get the hospitalizations are going down, the deaths from the uh this virus are going down. So things are getting better. So we're gonna get to the new normal soon. [1:36:34, 1:36:38]: But vaccinations are still available and people still need to get vaccinated. [1:36:38, 1:36:39]: And you can still get tested. [1:36:40, 1:36:42]: But I would tell you the senior Heritage Senior Center. [1:36:43, 1:36:45]: Uh, which test individuals for COVID nineteen. [1:36:46, 1:36:48]: And it will actually end at the end of the month of June. [1:36:48, 1:37:00]: And there'll be no more testing of COVID-19 at the Heritage Senior Center, uh, effective the uh 30th of June. And so, but you can still do that, citizens, if you if you need to get tested. [1:37:00, 1:37:03]: Yeah, eight hundred you have to set McGarrity Road, ten fifty Florence McGardy Road. [1:37:04, 1:37:06]: And the number to set an appointment is eight hundred. [1:37:07, 1:37:10]: eight four seven four two six two. Once again eight hundred eight four seven. [1:37:11, 1:37:16]: four two six two Monday to Thursday, nine a.m. to three p.m. and Saturdays, nine a.m. to twelve noon. [1:37:16, 1:37:28]: And after that, the only way you can get tested if you want to test you have to go to the public health department uh right here in Madonna and right in Madonna uh to uh set an appointment and to get tested if you want to do that. And also [1:37:28, 1:37:33]: Uh the actual vaccinations that the the county was doing with the public health department. [1:37:33, 1:37:35]: Uh the Lana Motor Speedway has ended. [1:37:36, 1:37:50]: It ended last Tuesday. Now if you want to get uh t uh vaccinated for the COVID-19 uh virus, you can call our once again our public health department, eight hundred-eight four seven four two six two. [1:37:50, 1:37:58]: Okay, that's locally, or you can actually call the uh the toll-free number for the state public health department, which is eight eight eight. [1:37:58, 1:38:10]: four five seven zero one eight six. Once again that's eight eight eight four five seven zero one eight six and that's the the state of Georgia's uh public health department to two seven appointment for vaccination. [1:38:11, 1:38:12]: Anywhere in the state. [1:38:12, 1:38:27]: And of course you can get vaccinated at uh at CVS and Walgreens and certain other doctors' clinics and things of that nature. So still very important, folks. We still we're still in this in this pandemic, uh, but it's getting better for us all, uh, collectively. And so uh [1:38:27, 1:38:30]: I look forward for us to get through this process. [1:38:30, 1:38:34]: If you happen to call the toll the Georgia State uh [1:38:35, 1:38:55]: uh COVID 19 uh line, hotline to set up a vaccination. They will ask you about your demographics, race, ethnicity, gender, and age, any type of medical history that you may have, current past ailments or allergies, whether or not you had any past uh infections or testing and vaccinations, and then your contact information. So just want to let you know we're still [1:38:54, 1:39:03]: Trying to get folks vaccinated, and we still have to be vigilant about this actual virus. It is still among us, but it's we're starting to conquer this thing. [1:39:04, 1:39:04]: Okay. [1:39:05, 1:39:25]: On that note, let me talk about some upcoming announcements and events for the city of Stockbridge. And Friday, June 18th, in observance of Juneteenth, the uh the actual staff, the city staff is off. Um, and we have a day off for that actually. The planning commission meeting is at 6:30 via Zoom on the fourth Thursday of each. [1:39:25, 1:39:36]: month which would be June 24th in this case. A city council work session is 6 p.m. via Zoom, which is the last Tuesday of each month, otherwise or otherwise noted, but that'd be June 29th. [1:39:36, 1:39:41]: Our Main Street Advisory Board meeting at n uh nine AM to noon. It's the second Friday. [1:39:41, 1:39:52]: of each month and that's by Zoom and that's July 9th is the next one they have. The city council meeting uh which will be next month, the second Monday of each month, and that'll be July 12th. [1:39:52, 1:40:00]: The Downtown Development Authority meeting is 6 p.m. by way of Zoom. And that's uh third Tuesday of each month. And that next one will be July 20th. [1:40:01, 1:40:06]: and you council advisory meeting uh six thirty by way of Zoom, the third Tuesday of each month. [1:40:06, 1:40:08]: And that's also July twentieth. [1:40:08, 1:40:28]: Now and then and then Councilman Afonso Thomas uh has a city event, uh council initiative uh coming up here shortly, and that is called the responders and uh the first responders, these honored first responders, and that uh and he hosts that appreciation luncheon on Wednesday, June 23rd at the Merrill Master's Comp Merrill Maners Conference Center. [1:40:28, 1:40:39]: and Clark Park at 12 noon. And it's going to be a drive-thru, drive-by in a sense. And of course, uh in uh in celebration for uh Juneteenth. [1:40:40, 1:41:00]: uh the city uh has a um has an actual celebration to honor juneteenth and give information about that and celebrate that incense. And now Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day. And uh obviously it's a holiday sele celebrating the emancipation [1:41:00, 1:41:11]: of those who have been enslaved in the US, which originated uh originated in Galvison, Texas, which was two and a half years after President Lincoln and actually signed the Emancipation Proclamation. [1:41:12, 1:41:13]: And so um [1:41:14, 1:41:18]: Now what's happening is in the country, forty seven states in Washington D C celebrate. [1:41:18, 1:41:28]: Juneteenth annually, um in this aspect. And uh but it was actually a union general uh by the name of um [1:41:28, 1:41:29]: Gordon Granger [1:41:30, 1:41:45]: uh that proclaimed uh freedom from slavery in a Texas and slaves that were in Texas. And uh once again it happened on Monday, June nineteenth, eighteen sixty five, once again two and a half years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. [1:41:45, 1:41:53]: Now for this um the city of Stockbridge, um we are having a an activity on the 17th of uh [1:41:53, 1:41:55]: of uh this month. [1:41:55, 1:42:00]: And uh in reference at Merle Manor's Conference Center, five thirty to eight PM. [1:42:00, 1:42:06]: It's a drive-thru uh activity. It'd be gift bags and and uh a Juneteenth uh t-shirt it'd be issued out. [1:42:07, 1:42:08]: The council will be there as well. [1:42:09, 1:42:29]: And uh be some other activities happening uh during that time frame, during that uh couple hour time frame on the 17th. Uh now the city has other things going on as well. Uh so the on the um the 14th, which is today, to the 19th, we have several participating restaurants in the area. [1:42:29, 1:42:45]: which will be offering Juneteenth specials. And you would have to actually go to the uh website, the Stobbers website, to find out uh the actual uh restaurants and what is actually gonna be the specials they're actually offering. But I have a list of those restaurants right here though for you. [1:42:46, 1:42:50]: That it honors those specials from the fourteenth to the nineteenth. This is it. [1:42:50, 1:42:51]: El granero. [1:42:52, 1:42:53]: Tony's Pizza. [1:42:54, 1:42:55]: Italian oven. [1:42:55, 1:42:58]: Jen Fish Fry, Mrs. Winners, [1:42:59, 1:43:01]: Silver Bay seafood. [1:43:01, 1:43:07]: Country Cooking Depot, Sarah's Country Cooking, and Silver Sands Jamaican Cuisine. [1:43:08, 1:43:18]: Okay, all those restaurants will be offering specials, Juneteenth specials for this week. Uh so you'll have to go to the website to find or even go to the restaurant and [1:43:18, 1:43:27]: and uh find out what those specials are and and and take part in that to help us uh celebrate the uh juneteenth and Saspate. And let me do this one more time just in case. This is it. [1:43:27, 1:43:28]: El granero. [1:43:28, 1:43:29]: Tony's Pizza. [1:43:30, 1:43:41]: Italian Oven, Gen Fish Fry, Mrs. Winters, Silver Bay Seafood, Country Cooking Depot, Sarah's Country Cooking, and Silver Sands Jamaican Cuisine. [1:43:41, 1:43:51]: Okay. And also from the twentieth to the twenty sixth on social media, uh the the uh actually city our our uh social media expert, I guess, or uh [1:43:51, 1:44:10]: a social media guru, I would say, for the sort of city, right? And once you send in photo gallery uh post and families taking pictures at the particular restaurants, selfies, and participating uh that you went to these restaurants wearing the particular t-shirts and uh and also send those in so you can put them on our social media for the for the um [1:44:10, 1:44:30]: uh a public affairs uh officer would do this uh for the city. And then of course each and every day, I believe starting today actually, uh there'll be educational engagement type of information about the meeting on Juneteenth to help educate the uh the citizens on what it means and what how it came about and uh just to make sure that you're well aware of what you're celebrating for. And again [1:44:30, 1:44:32]: give you some information about that as well. [1:44:33, 1:44:36]: I believe on that note is all that I have for any type of announcements or information. [1:44:37, 1:44:39]: And it's my understanding based on yes, ma'am. [1:44:40, 1:44:48]: I have a council initiative I wanted to um for you to announce. Go right here. I'm sorry about that. I I've uh that's stand by go ahead please. [1:44:49, 1:44:54]: Um, I'll be doing a uh council initiative over at Clark Park on the twenty second. [1:44:55, 1:45:05]: um a let's get back to normal. I would like to thank the Eagles Landing Longevity Center, Dr. Sylvain, as well as the Mercy. [1:45:05, 1:45:18]: um group, mercy care group. Um they both will be in attendance. One will be giving out COVID vaccine vaccines and the other will be signing up children for free health care. [1:45:19, 1:45:27]: Um, so I'm excited about that. We'll have music and food trucks and I hope that the public will attend and free ice cream. [1:45:28, 1:45:35]: Absolutely. Thank you very much. Mirapo Tim, sir. Go ahead. Yeah, I just wanted to uh say really quick, uh Walgreens will be having a [1:45:36, 1:45:39]: Uh vaccination pop-up clinic at Mount Olive tomorrow. [1:45:40, 1:45:41]: From ten to two. [1:45:41, 1:45:51]: They're going to have all three vaccines and they're encouraging people 12 yeah it's 12 and over to come out and get vaccinated on tomorrow at Mount Island Baptist Church. [1:45:52, 1:46:12]: You know, thank you for that. That's a good point. Uh what it amounts to, the the the public health department is working with the a nonprofit called CORE, uh, which is uh which goes around in with churches or try to serve uh some unserved communities or or try to communicate and educate people that are apprehensive about taking uh taking uh the vaccination.
