[0:18:32, 0:18:34]: That will be in attendance. [0:18:35, 0:18:35]: At [0:18:35, 0:18:38]: the meeting to respond as well. [0:18:38, 0:18:44]: So that means Alan, please respond if you have not already done so and I'll make sure that um [0:18:44, 0:18:47]: The sta other staff members who are planning to attend. [0:18:48, 0:18:51]: will um pay attention to the survey as well. [0:18:51, 0:18:54]: Are there any questions about the survey or? [0:18:54, 0:18:56]: Anything about the retreat. [0:18:58, 0:18:59]: strategic planning meeting. [0:19:01, 0:19:04]: Okay, I'll move on to the next item. [0:19:04, 0:19:05]: Um [0:19:05, 0:19:08]: As far as training is concerned. [0:19:08, 0:19:13]: There was um an announcement sent out to everyone with regard to [0:19:13, 0:19:14]: The um [0:19:15, 0:19:20]: Boot camp, the design downtown design boot camp that is going to be hosted next month. [0:19:20, 0:19:24]: Um there I'm sorry, in July there are three dates. [0:19:24, 0:19:30]: that are um included in that. And the only people that responded that they were interested [0:19:30, 0:19:33]: In attending the boot camp are Mildred. [0:19:33, 0:19:36]: Um councilman Thomas and um [0:19:36, 0:19:37]: Uh Willy. [0:19:38, 0:19:43]: Is there anyone else that I missed with regard to the boot camp? I know it's three days, so that's kind of hard to [0:19:43, 0:19:44]: Commit to [0:19:45, 0:19:48]: But um I think that it's gonna provide us with um [0:19:49, 0:19:52]: A wealth of information, and I'm glad that we will have. [0:19:52, 0:19:56]: some advisory board members who are able to attend. [0:19:56, 0:19:58]: Okay, did I miss anyone? [0:19:58, 0:20:01]: And of course Lisa and I will be attending, and I think um [0:20:02, 0:20:05]: Alan has said that he'll be um attending as well. [0:20:06, 0:20:07]: Okay. [0:20:08, 0:20:12]: All right, we're still uh recruiting for board member positions. [0:20:13, 0:20:17]: Um, and they are specific positions. We've had some people from the community. [0:20:17, 0:20:22]: express an interest in serving on the Main Street advisory board, but they don't [0:20:22, 0:20:23]: Um [0:20:23, 0:20:26]: quite meet the criteria that we're recruiting for now. [0:20:26, 0:20:29]: One is a licensed business. [0:20:30, 0:20:30]: Um [0:20:30, 0:20:32]: Outside of the Main Street district. [0:20:33, 0:20:38]: Um, but within the city of Stockbridge and then the other one is the [0:20:38, 0:20:43]: architect landscape designer and or uh interior designer. [0:20:43, 0:20:44]: So if [0:20:45, 0:20:50]: You all have friends and family who are interested in either one of those positions, please let me know. [0:20:51, 0:20:53]: And um [0:20:54, 0:20:59]: Oh yes, and then the arts position. We were still trying to find someone within the um [0:21:00, 0:21:03]: city limits of Stockbridge who represents an art organization. [0:21:04, 0:21:05]: So if you have [0:21:05, 0:21:07]: Friends or um [0:21:07, 0:21:13]: contacts or um anyone who you feel would fit any one of those positions, please. [0:21:14, 0:21:17]: Let me know so that we can speak with them. I think that we're close. [0:21:18, 0:21:24]: to having someone for the um business outside of the main street district within the city limits. [0:21:24, 0:21:29]: Um, that has um showed an interest. They're just trying to kind of mull it over a little bit. [0:21:29, 0:21:34]: And I'll let you more about know more about that person if they actually submit an application. [0:21:34, 0:21:35]: So that one is close. [0:21:36, 0:21:37]: Okay. [0:21:37, 0:21:38]: Um [0:21:39, 0:21:40]: Let's see. [0:21:41, 0:21:41]: Um [0:21:42, 0:21:43]: Асфар [0:21:44, 0:21:46]: The main street advisory board. [0:21:46, 0:21:51]: Um status if you um are at the end of your term. [0:21:51, 0:21:56]: Um, I need you to start thinking about uh whether or not you're going to continue with the board. [0:21:57, 0:22:02]: Um, because there is a process that we have to go through in October if you're interested in renewing. [0:22:03, 0:22:04]: Your um position. [0:22:05, 0:22:09]: So um just let me know. Um there's several members of the board who will be [0:22:10, 0:22:11]: Who are scheduled to roll off. [0:22:11, 0:22:12]: This year. [0:22:12, 0:22:16]: However, if you're interested in renewing your term. [0:22:16, 0:22:19]: Just let me know and um I will [0:22:19, 0:22:22]: Make sure that we start that proper process. [0:22:22, 0:22:23]: Okay. [0:22:23, 0:22:27]: I think that's all that I had with regard to um housekeeping items. [0:22:28, 0:22:30]: So now we can move to [0:22:30, 0:22:35]: Um the logo redesign and [0:22:36, 0:22:38]: Before you go, I have a question. [0:22:39, 0:22:46]: Is that me? I have a question regarding you said that the architect, I'm still the licensed business outside of the city. [0:22:46, 0:22:48]: A stock with Main Street. [0:22:48, 0:22:50]: Was close or closed? [0:22:51, 0:22:52]: Close. [0:22:52, 0:22:54]: There's someone who has approached me. [0:22:54, 0:23:02]: Um, that is interested, but um they wanted to get all of the details with regard to what the um [0:23:03, 0:23:06]: what it would actually entail and then they um [0:23:06, 0:23:12]: you know, said that they would get back to me by next week as to whether or not they were gonna submit an application. [0:23:12, 0:23:18]: So if they do submit an application, I of course will let you all know that the person is interested in being a candidate. [0:23:20, 0:23:21]: Okay. [0:23:24, 0:23:28]: Now I have a piece of old business that I wanted to um [0:23:29, 0:23:31]: Um go back to um what [0:23:31, 0:23:33]: Северо манс аго. [0:23:33, 0:23:34]: Um, we [0:23:35, 0:23:36]: talked about [0:23:36, 0:23:39]: The redesign of the main street. [0:23:39, 0:23:40]: logo. [0:23:40, 0:23:41]: Um [0:23:42, 0:23:44]: And we discussed this. [0:23:44, 0:23:46]: А і не контекст [0:23:46, 0:23:49]: trying to create a logo that would [0:23:49, 0:23:51]: play well or with um [0:23:52, 0:23:53]: Look good, um [0:23:53, 0:23:59]: sitting next to the city's new logo after they went through their whole branding process. [0:23:59, 0:24:01]: We thought that it would be a good idea. [0:24:01, 0:24:10]: Um, to move forward with um making a different logo or at least freshening up our logo for the Main Street program. [0:24:10, 0:24:12]: And that was voted on by the group. [0:24:12, 0:24:15]: And so we have uh reached out. [0:24:15, 0:24:16]: Then [0:24:16, 0:24:22]: We had some issues as far as us being in the office and you know that sort of thing. So we finally connected with [0:24:23, 0:24:24]: A um local [0:24:24, 0:24:25]: Designer. [0:24:26, 0:24:32]: And she has submitted several um options for us and uh we've kind of narrowed it down to [0:24:33, 0:24:38]: Um some options that we feel would be um very appropriate and would look good with [0:24:39, 0:24:43]: Our um city of Stockbridge logo. So you all should have received [0:24:44, 0:24:46]: A second email from me. [0:24:46, 0:24:49]: That had samples of [0:24:49, 0:24:50]: They [0:24:50, 0:24:52]: Акчуа дизайн [0:24:52, 0:24:54]: Did everyone receive? [0:24:54, 0:24:56]: That email with um [0:24:57, 0:25:02]: It should have had the two new designs and then our actual stock bridge logo on that. [0:25:03, 0:25:06]: And what I wanted to do was just have a discussion about [0:25:06, 0:25:13]: Those two options, see if you all like them, if you felt like they were moving in the right direction. [0:25:13, 0:25:16]: And then if possible, try to take a vote. [0:25:16, 0:25:18]: To see if um [0:25:18, 0:25:20]: We can approve [0:25:20, 0:25:25]: Um, one of those logos to move forward with. As you all know, we are working on the website. [0:25:25, 0:25:28]: And we would like to have that um [0:25:28, 0:25:32]: logo in place so that it can start being inserted into the new website. [0:25:33, 0:25:34]: Um as soon as possible. [0:25:35, 0:25:37]: So I'm going to [0:25:37, 0:25:42]: try to share my screen and bring up the two um logos that we have. So just give me [0:25:43, 0:25:45]: A minute to bring those up. Hold on. [0:25:53, 0:25:55]: Do this. [0:26:02, 0:26:03]: Okay, wait a minute. [0:26:04, 0:26:05]: Bear with me here. [0:26:15, 0:26:18]: Thought I had it queued up, but it looks like it's not quite. [0:26:31, 0:26:32]: Okay. [0:26:33, 0:26:35]: Oh shoot, I have to [0:26:36, 0:26:37]: Sorry, y'all. [0:26:38, 0:26:38]: Mm-hmm. [0:26:42, 0:26:44]: I tried to open it with the wrong program. [0:26:55, 0:26:58]: Okay, Main Street photos and branding, rebrand. [0:26:59, 0:27:01]: Local concepts option one. [0:27:03, 0:27:04]: Open with [0:27:12, 0:27:13]: Option two. [0:27:24, 0:27:26]: Okay, now let me see if I can [0:27:28, 0:27:29]: Share this. [0:27:46, 0:27:47]: Okay, yay. [0:27:49, 0:27:51]: Now can you all see? [0:27:52, 0:27:54]: Um the logo on your screen. [0:27:56, 0:27:56]: Yes. [0:27:56, 0:27:57]: Okay. [0:27:57, 0:27:59]: This is [0:27:59, 0:28:00]: Опшен Она. [0:28:01, 0:28:05]: This is a um what Lisa and I are calling a [0:28:06, 0:28:09]: nostalgic stamp style logo [0:28:10, 0:28:11]: Um we [0:28:12, 0:28:18]: Really like this one because it does have kind of a nostalgia to it. It kind of makes you think of [0:28:18, 0:28:23]: Um, like a old, maybe even a a postal stamp. Um [0:28:24, 0:28:25]: That they would put on a a letter. [0:28:26, 0:28:27]: Back in the day. [0:28:27, 0:28:30]: It has of course Stockbridge, Georgia. [0:28:30, 0:28:35]: Um, it does have Main Street, of course, this and then it has our established date. [0:28:36, 0:28:40]: As we had in our um last logo, and as you can see. [0:28:40, 0:28:42]: The colors for [0:28:43, 0:28:46]: The new stock city of Stockbridge branding. [0:28:46, 0:28:52]: Have been incorporated into this. So we think that this is kind of a crisp and clean. [0:28:52, 0:28:54]: option and it um [0:28:54, 0:28:56]: Kinda has a little um [0:28:56, 0:28:58]: cutesiness to it as well. [0:28:58, 0:29:03]: Lisa, did you have any comment with regard to this particular option? [0:29:07, 0:29:08]: Lisa. [0:29:09, 0:29:11]: Yes, I'm sorry. I was trying to unmute. [0:29:11, 0:29:14]: Um can everyone hear me okay? [0:29:15, 0:29:16]: Yes. [0:29:16, 0:29:18]: Good. Um [0:29:18, 0:29:19]: So [0:29:19, 0:29:27]: Some things I just wanted to point out is that um other Main Street logos we've seen across the state and across the country. [0:29:27, 0:29:30]: usually have some kind of a nod. [0:29:30, 0:29:34]: To uh historiк preservation or historic quality. [0:29:35, 0:29:37]: And also they usually have a nod to [0:29:37, 0:29:40]: The business district. So I think this one. [0:29:41, 0:29:42]: Represents that theme. [0:29:42, 0:29:45]: or Main Street. Um I just [0:29:45, 0:29:47]: Wanted to point that out because you know. [0:29:48, 0:29:50]: There's another choice and it [0:29:50, 0:29:55]: Has different characteristics, so those are some of the things you might want to keep in mind here. [0:29:56, 0:29:57]: Okay. [0:29:57, 0:29:58]: Thank you, Lisa. [0:29:58, 0:30:02]: And now I'm gonna share my screen again and pull up the other option. [0:30:12, 0:30:13]: Okay. [0:30:14, 0:30:16]: This is option number two. [0:30:17, 0:30:20]: This one has kind of a more modern look to it. [0:30:21, 0:30:28]: And it um again, like the other one, is very clean. I think that it will um fit into [0:30:29, 0:30:31]: Um different promotional [0:30:31, 0:30:32]: Type [0:30:33, 0:30:33]: Um [0:30:34, 0:30:38]: Things that we do as far as promotional items, as far as um [0:30:38, 0:30:40]: Promotional advertising. [0:30:40, 0:30:44]: Um, I think that this one will have um [0:30:45, 0:30:46]: Kind of a fresh look. [0:30:47, 0:30:50]: It also incorporates the city of Stockbridges. [0:30:51, 0:30:51]: New [0:30:52, 0:30:52]: Logo. [0:30:53, 0:30:54]: Um as well. [0:30:55, 0:31:02]: So this is kind of a nod to the city and also bringing us in as a partner with the city. [0:31:03, 0:31:04]: So [0:31:05, 0:31:06]: This one is also [0:31:07, 0:31:10]: a winner as well. So I think that [0:31:10, 0:31:12]: Від ідеос2 лоґос. [0:31:13, 0:31:17]: we would be able to um show kind of a brightness. [0:31:17, 0:31:18]: Freshness. [0:31:18, 0:31:22]: very clean lines and then also uh [0:31:22, 0:31:23]: Make sure that we are. [0:31:24, 0:31:27]: Bringing forth I our identity as well. [0:31:27, 0:31:28]: Okay. [0:31:28, 0:31:33]: Lisa, did you have any other comment? And then I'm gonna ask um for board comment. [0:31:34, 0:31:36]: On either one or on both. [0:31:37, 0:31:48]: I don't think that, you know, the importance of um this one is that it's a direct nod to the city's uh logo and brand mark. [0:31:48, 0:31:52]: Um and I do like the fact that it's kind of bright. [0:31:52, 0:32:00]: Clean and modern looking. I like both of them quite a bit actually, but um the the difference here is that this one is not. [0:32:00, 0:32:03]: Nodding to nostalgia. It's kind of [0:32:03, 0:32:05]: A nod to today's stock bridge. [0:32:05, 0:32:10]: So um I'll leave everything else up to the board. I guess they can see. [0:32:10, 0:32:12]: What they see and make their own [0:32:12, 0:32:14]: uh perspectives from that. [0:32:14, 0:32:15]: Okay. [0:32:15, 0:32:18]: So were there any comments from the board? [0:32:20, 0:32:21]: Um, I like the first. [0:32:22, 0:32:23]: Who's that? I didn't hear. [0:32:24, 0:32:25]: Yeah. Linda? [0:32:25, 0:32:27]: Hey Linda. I'm sorry, say it again. [0:32:28, 0:32:30]: I really like the first one. [0:32:30, 0:32:47]: Okay. So option one, that's the one with the little house. And if you what do you like about it, Linda? I was gonna say if you all prefer, I can um have them, you know, up and we can kind of go between the two or we can have the gallery up. Which do you all prefer? Having it actually up there. [0:32:49, 0:32:55]: Well, I'm looking at it on my computer. So does everybody have it out, you know, on their desk or whatever so I don't have to [0:32:56, 0:32:58]: Toggle back and forth. Okay, good. [0:33:01, 0:33:03]: All right, Linda, I'm sorry. [0:33:03, 0:33:05]: I interrupted Linda. Linda. [0:33:05, 0:33:10]: Yeah, I I do like the the year that we started. I think that's very important. [0:33:10, 0:33:13]: Um that's good for you. [0:33:13, 0:33:16]: Uh let you know and everyone else know when you started. [0:33:16, 0:33:20]: uh stock grant uh which we didn't have a main street board. [0:33:20, 0:33:23]: And you came in and opened up the windows for us. [0:33:23, 0:33:25]: And created this board. [0:33:25, 0:33:45]: Also, I like that little house that's on there because it's like buildings of like downtown. It represents what we do and we are here to um preserve and promote and build the community. So um I like that part and the colors are nice and it's very readable. It's not [0:33:45, 0:33:46]: So [0:33:46, 0:33:48]: The fonts are not so [0:33:48, 0:33:49]: Wait. [0:33:49, 0:33:51]: I I just like it. I like that one. [0:33:51, 0:33:52]: The comments I love. [0:33:53, 0:33:54]: Okay. [0:33:55, 0:33:57]: Anyone else? [0:33:57, 0:33:59]: Councilman Thomas. [0:33:59, 0:34:00]: Okay, um [0:34:01, 0:34:05]: I I really don't like the second one. I I really don't like the fact that the main [0:34:06, 0:34:10]: And the street is separated. Um, I really don't care for that. [0:34:10, 0:34:13]: Uh and I and I'll just be honest with you, um [0:34:14, 0:34:19]: Either one of the it doesn't move me. Um the old original logo. [0:34:19, 0:34:23]: I I think it has it has more features. I just my take, um [0:34:24, 0:34:27]: These two just j just don't move me. [0:34:27, 0:34:30]: And and definitely uh separating the main [0:34:30, 0:34:31]: And the street. [0:34:32, 0:34:33]: Um [0:34:33, 0:34:36]: I really I really just don't get that period. [0:34:36, 0:34:38]: But that's just my take. These two [0:34:39, 0:34:43]: Um I'm a visual kind of person, but this it just doesn't move me. [0:34:43, 0:34:44]: Um [0:34:45, 0:34:46]: Uh you know, out of these two. [0:34:47, 0:34:52]: versus the old logo, I would still have to go with the old logo. I mean, that's just my take. [0:34:53, 0:34:53]: Okay. [0:34:55, 0:34:55]: Um [0:34:56, 0:34:57]: Greg. [0:34:58, 0:35:18]: Yeah, I I really like the option one. Uh I think it gives a true nod to what we say we're here to do as far as Main Street. You know, it it kind of gives a nod to uh historic district promotion. It gives a nod to business with the little storefront there. And I like the established. [0:35:18, 0:35:21]: [2121.4, 2126.0]: I if we're talking about re rebranding our logo, option two is really [0:35:26, 0:35:34]: the city's logo, it's not ours. Even though Main Street's on there, it's not our logo. It's the city's logo. I don't think our logo should [0:35:35, 0:35:41]: just be including any other logo, it ought to be unique and on its own. So I like option one. [0:35:42, 0:35:43]: Okay. [0:35:45, 0:35:49]: Yeah, uh Mildred, did you have something you wanted to say? And I had yes, I did. Um [0:35:50, 0:35:52]: I like option two because of the color. [0:35:52, 0:35:55]: Not for any other reason but because of the colour scene. [0:35:55, 0:35:57]: More can be added. [0:35:57, 0:35:58]: Two option two. [0:35:59, 0:36:01]: I believe the d the date. [0:36:02, 0:36:04]: And some other things. But as every time I looked at it. [0:36:04, 0:36:05]: I just saw it. [0:36:05, 0:36:07]: I could see it clearer. [0:36:07, 0:36:11]: On option two. For some reason that colour on option one. [0:36:11, 0:36:15]: just didn't sit well with me. And I realize you're saying that it's the cities. [0:36:15, 0:36:16]: No no. [0:36:16, 0:36:18]: But I'm talking about the brightness of it. [0:36:19, 0:36:19]: Um [0:36:21, 0:36:21]: That [0:36:22, 0:36:30]: Now it's the same colors on both both um one is the same colors, but one is in green. One is green, circle is green. [0:36:32, 0:36:36]: And the other Yes. Yes. And the other one is gold. Yes. [0:36:36, 0:36:41]: But it's still incorporating the the colors that are in the city's logo. [0:36:41, 0:36:43]: Right. Okay. Okay. [0:36:43, 0:36:45]: Anyone else? [0:36:47, 0:36:47]: Anika [0:36:48, 0:36:49]: And then Shamari. [0:36:50, 0:36:56]: I'm gonna defer to Shamari first. He had his hand up before I did Oh, I'm sorry, Shamari. I didn't see yours up first. [0:36:57, 0:37:02]: Oh yeah, I just put the little icon hand thing up over there. Um, but um [0:37:03, 0:37:19]: I like the first one as well. Um, as I'm looking at it, it does give like that stamp. That's the first thing I thought of as well, too. Like this would be perfect. You could like stamp it on stuff and um it kind of stands out and and you know, put our stamp on it. [0:37:19, 0:37:20]: Um [0:37:20, 0:37:21]: You know, I think [0:37:22, 0:37:22]: Um [0:37:23, 0:37:29]: Greg said it best about the other one that has the the logo in there for Stockbridge. [0:37:29, 0:37:43]: Um it's a little awkward in there because it's not even, you know, I like stuff to be kind of even and straightforward. That one's kind of just like stuck in there as well. And it's their logo. I think we do need to have something defined for us. So if both the logos are together. [0:37:44, 0:37:56]: it would really stand out that this is Stockbridge Main Street and this is the city of Stockbridge, um, which we do have a lot of stuff where the logos are together. So um I really, I really like it to be unique. Um [0:37:57, 0:38:15]: You know, there's definitely opportunity, I would say, in both. So I agree with uh, you know, Councilman Thomas that um you know, they're not absolutely perfect. If I if if I did have to be critical, I would say the first one. Um, I do like the little house there as well, or you know, kind of like a main street shop. [0:38:16, 0:38:27]: I was gonna say it's supposed to be a shop. If it looks too housey, we might need to change the the icon. Because several people have called it a little house and it's supposed to be like a storefront. [0:38:27, 0:38:36]: Right. Which so and that's where, you know, it kinda gets a little I would this would just be me. I would suggest maybe if it's not too much to stick in [0:38:37, 0:38:46]: the you know same color but have it with um the bridge and a train on it, you know, something like that. Um that might be [0:38:47, 0:38:58]: something to kind of add in there to kind of throw in stock bridge and the train and and all of that as well. I know our our bridge our trains don't run on bridges, but you know, it'd be something to kind of put it together. So [0:38:58, 0:39:00]: That would be my two cents. Okay. [0:39:01, 0:39:03]: All right. Um [0:39:04, 0:39:05]: Anyone else? [0:39:06, 0:39:06]: Oh, this one. [0:39:07, 0:39:08]: Yes, Anika. [0:39:08, 0:39:18]: Okay. Um I honestly echo the much what the majority of the board is stating. Um I do prefer the first over the second. Um [0:39:18, 0:39:22]: The only thing that comes to mind though though is very on trend. [0:39:23, 0:39:31]: Um and when things are on trend, they kind of go out of style. Um, so when I saw it, my eye instantly understood it, liked it. [0:39:32, 0:39:37]: Totally understood it. It was a storefront. That is what Main Street's all about. I don't want I don't want to repeat what everyone is saying. [0:39:38, 0:39:49]: But the only thing that kind of kinda got me is it felt very trendy and that, you know, when the cupcake theme is over, do we change our theme our logo again? So just want to make sure that we're careful. [0:39:49, 0:39:50]: Um [0:39:51, 0:39:58]: with that piece. Um, but totally agree with with um the majority of the board is stating um with option one. [0:39:58, 0:39:59]: Okay. [0:39:59, 0:40:04]: All right. Thank you. Mr. Hopkins, did you have an opportunity to say anything? [0:40:06, 0:40:07]: Um [0:40:08, 0:40:09]: Pretty much uh uh [0:40:10, 0:40:17]: Pretty much everybody's pretty much echo the same thing that that that I think uh can be done. I like option one on that. Um [0:40:18, 0:40:20]: The young l uh [0:40:20, 0:40:26]: difference that I see is uh well it's not a well that's a difference. Um [0:40:26, 0:40:30]: Main Street need to be a no s in inclusive. [0:40:30, 0:40:35]: and supportive of the city and we need to have that identifiable piece. [0:40:36, 0:40:41]: For Main Street. And I think that gives us that identifiable piece for Main Street. And I do know. [0:40:42, 0:40:49]: Uh we are here to support the city, but at some point th that that I I think that Main Street is a vital. [0:40:50, 0:40:54]: uh identifiable piece that we need to put in place so folks know that. [0:40:55, 0:41:02]: Stockbury has a viable downtown Main Street identity, and that gives us that identity. And uh like I said, that that that [0:41:03, 0:41:08]: I thought it was a little house as well, but I think the oning throws it off a little bit. [0:41:09, 0:41:15]: In reference to that. So if if that can be shaping up just a hair just so it looked like a s a [0:41:15, 0:41:27]: downtown storefront with a RN where you see that difference in there. I think that gives us what we need as Main Street because we are that Main Street piece that have to uh [0:41:28, 0:41:29]: Pretty much uh [0:41:30, 0:41:41]: represent the downtown businesses and make it more viable for for businesses to come down here when they see this then they're like oh I like that and and like what a nigga said trendy uh [0:41:42, 0:42:02]: What I've learned over these years and and and being the age that I am right now, trend it changes all the time. But I think this right here fits right into if that change do come, you don't have to change it. You can fit fit it right into whatever that trend may be. Because it's real subtle. It's not we're out loud and it's real subtle. [0:42:02, 0:42:13]: settle to that I think it can fit pretty much in any trend that you put it in. So but overall I think one is is will be my choice if those are two choices that we have to choose. Okay. [0:42:15, 0:42:17]: Did anyone else have any comments? [0:42:19, 0:42:23]: I just wanted to say to everybody, and I'm laughing under this mask. [0:42:23, 0:42:43]: But that little um storefront icon is uh being used by several different not the exact same one, but even American Express uses it for small business Saturday. But everybody is always saying house, and that cracks me up because it's really supposed to represent a storefront. So I don't [0:42:43, 0:42:48]: know if we should be mad at American Express or everybody else at once, but maybe we can re [0:42:49, 0:42:49]: Uh [0:42:49, 0:42:52]: restyle it a little bit and see what we could come up with. [0:42:52, 0:42:57]: And that's what I was gonna say. Um, if there is [0:42:57, 0:43:00]: You know, once we um choose which direction we want to go. [0:43:00, 0:43:06]: we can have the designer possibly look at a different little building or, you know, ways that we can [0:43:07, 0:43:09]: Punch it up a little bit, um [0:43:10, 0:43:13]: I um was looking at the word stock bridge. [0:43:14, 0:43:16]: I would kinda like to see maybe those letters, maybe a [0:43:17, 0:43:17]: Fuck. [0:43:17, 0:43:19]: A a point size larger. [0:43:20, 0:43:27]: Um, so that the stock bridge is a l a little bit or make I'm sorry, not the stock bridge larger, but the Georgia a little smaller. [0:43:28, 0:43:29]: So that um [0:43:29, 0:43:34]: The Georgia isn't bigger than the Stockbridge or the um Main Street letters. [0:43:34, 0:43:36]: So we can um [0:43:37, 0:43:44]: You know, go with one direction and then try to punch it up a bit and bring it back to you all so you can kind of see. [0:43:44, 0:43:47]: uh what the difference is um [0:43:48, 0:43:49]: And um I know [0:43:49, 0:43:50]: And [0:43:50, 0:43:51]: Ліса [0:43:51, 0:43:52]: Um [0:43:52, 0:43:57]: And I had talked about the e the establishment date being in green as well. [0:43:57, 0:43:59]: Um, so we might look at it. [0:44:00, 0:44:00]: Um [0:44:00, 0:44:04]: couple of different versions of this particular one, if this is the one that [0:44:04, 0:44:08]: Um everyone wants to go with. And it seems like that is a majority. [0:44:08, 0:44:12]: is kind of moving toward this, but we'll take a um formal vote. [0:44:13, 0:44:13]: Um [0:44:14, 0:44:16]: For option one and option two. [0:44:19, 0:44:20]: So um [0:44:20, 0:44:24]: All of those who are interested in um [0:44:25, 0:44:26]: Option one. [0:44:26, 0:44:29]: being our new direction for logo [0:44:30, 0:44:31]: Please raise your hand. [0:44:34, 0:44:36]: If we uh [0:44:36, 0:44:37]: Under [0:44:42, 0:44:47]: I'm sorry, I didn't I apologize trying to take a call. What was that? I didn't hear that. [0:44:47, 0:44:52]: I was just asking everyone to raise their hand if they were interested. [0:44:52, 0:44:53]: And um [0:44:54, 0:45:02]: Everyone interested in option one to raise their hand and then we'll do a a like vote for option two if we're up for one. [0:45:03, 0:45:03]: Okay. [0:45:05, 0:45:08]: So that's Mildred, Anika. [0:45:09, 0:45:10]: Really? [0:45:13, 0:45:14]: Greg. [0:45:17, 0:45:20]: Linda, are you did you raise your hand? I'm sorry. Linda. [0:45:21, 0:45:22]: Okay. Shamari. [0:45:23, 0:45:24]: Okay. [0:45:26, 0:45:27]: All right. [0:45:27, 0:45:29]: And so I don't think [0:45:29, 0:45:29]: Mm. [0:45:30, 0:45:33]: Is there anyone who is more in favor of option? [0:45:34, 0:45:35]: Two. [0:45:38, 0:45:38]: Okay. [0:45:40, 0:45:43]: Okay. And then um Councilman Thomas, you abstain? [0:45:46, 0:45:47]: You're on mute, sir. [0:45:51, 0:46:00]: out of the two, I would actually go with one, uh, even though I you know, I made my comment, but I go along with the majority. But if I had to vote for either one, it would be uh option one. [0:46:01, 0:46:01]: Okay. [0:46:03, 0:46:07]: All right. Well, it looks like we're going to go with option one. [0:46:08, 0:46:23]: Is um is there any interest in um doing some tweaking like with the building and coming back to you all with that? Or are you all fine with this? Like I said, we might make the word Georgia a little bit smaller. That's a personal preference for me. [0:46:24, 0:46:30]: But is there any other tweaking that anyone is interested in seeing that I can go to the designer with? [0:46:31, 0:46:33]: Yeah, Kira, I would I I would say if you can um [0:46:34, 0:46:54]: See if they can drill down a little more detail in that in in in the storefront. Okay. Call a house this time, but storefront. Yeah, the little house. Just get some more narrowed down to some detail so you can see the difference in it. And I think well they might have some um different ones, you know, that can be put in I know Lisa and I have seen different ones. [0:46:54, 0:47:00]: They have um one that's kind of like a two story building, even though we don't really have two story buildings down now. [0:47:00, 0:47:04]: But they have some other one story buildings that look more shoppy. [0:47:04, 0:47:13]: That don't have that little awning. They're more square and have like a banner on the front or whatever. So we can see if she can come up with a different icon for that. [0:47:14, 0:47:21]: Or or maybe even having two back to back to kind of look like, you know, a couple of storefronts, that might help as well. [0:47:21, 0:47:41]: We thought about that um sort of a strip of stores, maybe three different heights. Um one reason we didn't and she never drew this for us, but Kara and I talked about it. But we also thought if we ever get it printed, that could get a little bit mushy in the threads, you know what I mean? Because it's kind of small. [0:47:41, 0:47:44]: and crowded when you add all the buildings. [0:47:45, 0:47:57]: But we can ask her and see what it looks like. There's also a version that's kind of a wider building. It almost looks sort of like Gl Greg's store, where uh instead of it being short and narrow, it's kind of [0:47:57, 0:48:01]: wide and it's got more windows. [0:48:01, 0:48:03]: So that that's another possibility. [0:48:04, 0:48:05]: So we'll um [0:48:06, 0:48:10]: Take a look at that with the designer and get back to you all. [0:48:10, 0:48:12]: As soon as possible. Yes, Anika. [0:48:12, 0:48:21]: Um, I was going to um say very much the same thing as Mr. Firch, but I did recall Miss Reed having a like [0:48:22, 0:48:35]: of the outer circle being a different color or the other color. So perhaps we can entertain what that looks like just to see if that's more appealing. Uh because it seemed like that stood out to her. [0:48:35, 0:48:36]: Okay. [0:48:37, 0:48:38]: Yeah, I'll second that. [0:48:39, 0:48:41]: So a version with the outer circle gold. [0:48:42, 0:48:45]: Yeah, if you're gonna change the established [0:48:45, 0:48:55]: in t twenty twenty fifteen to green as well. I think I think the offset of making the circle gold will give it a little bit of pop as well. [0:48:56, 0:49:01]: And you know, um the original version that she showed us, um [0:49:01, 0:49:21]: The the house was still the the teal green and so was established 2015. So the only offset was the red orange of Stockbridge, Georgia. So we we asked her to make the house house, the storefront to make the storefront gold. [0:49:21, 0:49:28]: When she did it, she also made the date gold and we didn't ask for that, but we've presented it to you anyway. [0:49:28, 0:49:30]: I think that it would look better. [0:49:30, 0:49:37]: Um, in the green. But now of course I'm gonna have to see it again. I'm gonna have to see it with the other changes and see how it [0:49:37, 0:49:42]: Place. See now I like the gold established 2015. I mean it's like a million combinations. [0:49:43, 0:49:46]: Um that we could come up with. But we'll try to bring you um [0:49:47, 0:49:48]: The options that um [0:49:49, 0:49:55]: We just discussed possibly making the established teal, possibly um changing the storefront. [0:49:55, 0:49:57]: To multiple stores or a different store. [0:49:58, 0:50:04]: And then the outer circle um possibly being gold. And we'll come back with those um versions. [0:50:04, 0:50:07]: To see if anyone um stands out to you all. [0:50:08, 0:50:15]: Yeah. The good thing is we're down to one and we can ask her to make good tweaks based on the one that there is. Yeah. [0:50:16, 0:50:20]: And this is really a three color logo, which is good because that [0:50:21, 0:50:26]: Um, cuts down on cost when you're thinking about printing things. Anytime you go over three colors. [0:50:26, 0:50:29]: It really gets to be expensive. So keeping it [0:50:30, 0:50:31]: Um to three colors is is good. [0:50:32, 0:50:38]: So um thank you all for your um participation with that. Yeah, that was good feedback. Thank you. Yeah. [0:50:39, 0:50:39]: Okay. [0:50:40, 0:50:50]: Um now I'm going to move to the um portion of my report about um new business. We actually have been approached by the um [0:50:50, 0:50:54]: Arts Consortium with Visit Henry, Georgia. [0:50:55, 0:50:56]: Um, which is our um [0:50:57, 0:51:00]: Henry County C V B Convention and Visitors Bureau. [0:51:00, 0:51:02]: And um Greg Horton. [0:51:03, 0:51:06]: Is a part of the Arts Consortium and um [0:51:07, 0:51:17]: He has spoken with us about the squirrel table project before, but Greg, do you mind just um coming off mute and just giving them just a little quick [0:51:18, 0:51:23]: um review just to refresh everyone's memory about what the project actually is. [0:51:24, 0:51:25]: Sure, um [0:51:26, 0:51:42]: The uh the project is actually called the Bushytail Art Trail. And as you're familiar, it's about the squirrel tables that uh the artist consortium has uh worked with various artists in the county to decorate and install. [0:51:42, 0:51:45]: in the various parts and our goal is to get'em [0:51:46, 0:51:57]: uh in parks and municipalities throughout the county uh as a way of bringing art in public places to the community, to the county to kind of help. [0:51:57, 0:52:17]: uh transform Henry County's image to be more associated with public art and and the arts in general. And so we have we have the an ongoing project that we've divided into three stages. The first stage has been completed and that was getting 10 tables out across the county [0:52:17, 0:52:25]: County in the public uh in the county parks and a few city parks. And now we're engaging in phase two of that project. [0:52:26, 0:52:32]: And phase two is an additional nine tables. Our goal is to have a total of 30 tables throughout the county. [0:52:32, 0:52:36]: Um but phase two is an additional nine tables and [0:52:36, 0:52:45]: What those nine tables consist of is we have committed three tables for each of the main street districts being Stockbridge. [0:52:45, 0:52:45]: Um [0:52:46, 0:52:49]: uh Hampton and Locust Grove. McDonough has their own [0:52:49, 0:52:50]: Uh [0:52:50, 0:53:04]: their own thing. Uh uh so they're they're kind of not in the main street part of our installation. But anyway, so we've committed three tables to each of the main streets, meaning Stockbridge has the option to uh present [0:53:05, 0:53:09]: Three of the squirrel tables for corporate sponsorship. [0:53:09, 0:53:21]: um meaning that any business within the main street uh in stockbridge within and preferably within the main street district uh can sponsor a table and have that table [0:53:22, 0:53:22]: Uh [0:53:22, 0:53:42]: installed and located within the Main Street district of Stockbridge. What we also and in thinking through that project, it it's you know the trying to figure out how to safely or or fairly present that sponsorship opportunity to businesses within the Stockbridge area. [0:53:42, 0:53:49]: It it gets, you know, it's difficult and how you do it and and you know and uh it can it can get a little uh [0:53:50, 0:53:56]: crazy or people get their feelings hurt because they didn't get one of the three tables. And so we thought maybe the first thing [0:53:57, 0:54:07]: our first step should be to offer first refusal to the actual Main Street program. Um and in working with Kira in and trying to get [0:54:08, 0:54:08]: That [0:54:09, 0:54:11]: Phase uh [0:54:11, 0:54:15]: Defined uh we ask uh that [0:54:15, 0:54:26]: the Main Street program present possible installation locations within the district for those three tables. Um and and uh Kira came back with a short list of of [0:54:26, 0:54:39]: uh possible locations to install and but because she has to go through and get also get that improved with the city manager and you know uh the the whole make sure everything's above board and and and fair and and represented. [0:54:40, 0:54:53]: Um, but one of the locations Kira offered, uh, is it okay for me to talk about the amphitheater situation? Sure. Kira, um, was uh the for a location for the amphitheater park. [0:54:53, 0:55:13]: Uh, once the amphitheater is open, we'd like to have a squirrel table in that park, we think. It would help bring attention to the amphitheater, and the amphitheater would help bring attention to the Bushytail Art Trail and it would put public art there. Um, just a little whimsical fun piece there in that park. And we thought maybe uh we could talk with the CDNC if [0:55:13, 0:55:33]: If the amphitheater, once it's open, it will be its own entity if the amphitheater would actually be one of the corporate sponsors and sponsor that table. And so that would leave two tables for the Stockbridge Main Street District for the Main Street program to have first refusal on. And so that's what we're asking. [0:55:33, 0:55:53]: We'd like to present to the advisory board this morning to say, would the advisory board be interested in sponsoring two of the uh squirrel tables for the Bushy Tail Archale to be installed in one of the locations that Kira has presented to us? [0:55:53, 0:55:54]: Okay. [0:55:54, 0:56:01]: And um as far as the sponsorship is concerned, it's$250 per table. [0:56:01, 0:56:05]: So that would be a total of five hundred dollars um for [0:56:06, 0:56:11]: The two tables and um I have um presented this to [0:56:11, 0:56:14]: Mister Knighton with regard to the amphitheatre. [0:56:14, 0:56:18]: So um he would make the decision with regard to whether [0:56:18, 0:56:19]: Um [0:56:19, 0:56:22]: The city wanted to sponsor the um [0:56:22, 0:56:25]: one for the and or if we could put it there. [0:56:25, 0:56:26]: Um, but if [0:56:27, 0:56:35]: He is not interested in having the amphitheater um as one of the or the city as one of the sponsors for the amphitheater park. [0:56:35, 0:56:37]: Um we can also [0:56:37, 0:56:39]: take the third table and have it [0:56:40, 0:56:48]: Um, you know, located somewhere else if the amphitheater is not a location that they would like to have it. So basically we're trying to split the cost a little bit. [0:56:48, 0:56:53]: Unless you all want to approve going forward with [0:56:53, 0:56:59]: Um Main Street sponsoring all three tables, and then we get the permission to put it in the amphitheater. [0:56:59, 0:57:04]: to make sure that that is, you know, that they're actually paid for. Greg, did you have another comment? [0:57:05, 0:57:23]: Yeah, uh maybe it would help too also if I defined what the sponsorship is. The the the$250 sponsorship gets um we expect the life of the project to be two to three years. And so that$250 gets you that table maintained and and and uh [0:57:23, 0:57:24]: And and [0:57:24, 0:57:33]: And located and sponsored for approximately a two-year lifespan. Um, and we'll, you know, if if the table is damaged irreparably. [0:57:33, 0:57:33]: Oh. [0:57:34, 0:57:37]: The consortium will replace that table at no cost. [0:57:38, 0:57:54]: the first time. Um, but you know, if we if we have a problem with vandalism or you know, s uh then the second time uh we're prepared to offer that for that table to be replaced at cost. Um so just just so you understand what that$250 per table gets you is is what I was wanting to define. [0:57:55, 0:58:01]: Right. And I was just gonna go over the sponsorship listing um as I've received. [0:58:01, 0:58:06]: Um we would have discretion over where the table is placed. As Greg um mentioned, it would be [0:58:06, 0:58:12]: maintenance and quarterly visit to visits to the table based on um any [0:58:12, 0:58:13]: Um [0:58:13, 0:58:17]: Maintenance that needs to be done, ma basic maintenance would be done. [0:58:17, 0:58:18]: А фри в кас. [0:58:19, 0:58:25]: Um he mentioned the one replacement table if there is any vandalism or theft, and then the next one would be at cost. [0:58:26, 0:58:32]: Um, recognition of our organization as the sponsor with a link on the Bushy Tail. [0:58:32, 0:58:36]: Art Trail web page and elsewhere as appropriate. [0:58:36, 0:58:43]: Um this would be um promotion for us and we do have a promotion budget if you look on your [0:58:43, 0:58:53]: financial statements. Um we really haven't touched that due to the pandemic. We really haven't um hosted as many um events and things that we usually [0:58:54, 0:58:56]: would be doing so we do have the um [0:58:57, 0:58:58]: The money's there. [0:58:58, 0:59:01]: А формочно перпис. [0:59:01, 0:59:07]: So um is there any discussion on this particular art project? Um it has gotten a lot of [0:59:07, 0:59:09]: Umbas [0:59:09, 0:59:11]: On the C V B website. [0:59:11, 0:59:22]: Also um on um in the local magazine, the um We Are Henry magazine, they did a big feature. Our Henry County Times has done a feature, and Greg was [0:59:22, 0:59:26]: Featured in that particular article, um, in the newspaper on the front page. [0:59:27, 0:59:32]: So um I think that this is um yet another step that we could take. [0:59:32, 0:59:34]: Toward bringing public art. [0:59:35, 0:59:35]: Um [0:59:36, 0:59:37]: to our community and [0:59:37, 0:59:40]: More specifically to the um downtown area. [0:59:41, 0:59:42]: Um [0:59:42, 0:59:47]: So are there any questions, recommendations? Um yes, Annika. [0:59:47, 1:00:01]: Thank you. Um two questions. One is where are the other two locations that or other locations that we're entertaining if the city does not approve us using the amphitheater park? [1:00:01, 1:00:12]: And um just for understanding the scroll tables are is there actually food that's being placed there as well? Is or is it just the art piece and [1:00:13, 1:00:16]: How does that work? I was just curious on um [1:00:17, 1:00:23]: Is there actually food being placed there for nature, nick na natural creatures? It's it's an art piece first. [1:00:24, 1:00:42]: And then um you can utilize the table or an organization can utilize the table any way they want to. Um we could put nuts there if we wanted to, um, because they have different promotions that they're running with regard to the tables. And Greg can tell you a little bit about um how those um [1:00:43, 1:00:45]: Promotions have been going so far. [1:00:46, 1:01:03]: Um uh the the first promotion was actually just a scavenger hunt for the public to locate the first ten tables and we've just completed that scavenger hunt and awarded the the the three prizes to the the first uh three people or groups of three people that [1:01:03, 1:01:23]: Uh took selfies with themselves at each table. So that promotion has already happened. Ongoing promotions or things such as we we have created what we call the golden acorn. And we have a blue acorn, yellow acorn. We can also do heart stars, but things that can be placed on the table to increase. [1:01:23, 1:01:32]: courage uh promotions and any any sponsor or the excuse me the artist consortium or main street [1:01:32, 1:01:34]: Could place a golden acorn in [1:01:35, 1:01:47]: on a table somewhere and ask people to go find it in conjunction with some type of promotion, find the golden acorn and you get this or you can do this kind of thing. Um so so there's that and [1:01:47, 1:02:07]: Um Kira, I don't have the list of locations that you presented in front of me, so I can't answer that. I can't answer that question for Anika. Um, but uh we expect that the promotions will will go on at least uh the CVB is prepared to the CBB, the artist consortium is prepared to conduct promotions at least quarterly using the goal. [1:02:07, 1:02:17]: an acorn or maybe a heart around Valentine's Day or Mother's Day or a star at a certain time of the year. We could even come up with something for shop small. [1:02:17, 1:02:22]: um to place on the tables and and offer promotions in that manner, if that answers your question. [1:02:23, 1:02:28]: Yes, thank you. Um as far as locations are concerned, we already have one in Clark Park. [1:02:28, 1:02:35]: We were thinking of a second, you know, somewhere maybe near the dog park or somewhere like that in Clark Park. Uh, we mentioned the amphitheater. [1:02:35, 1:02:45]: Um also because we have a little free library um along Reeves Creek Trail, we were thinking, you know, somewhere along Reeves Creek Trail and Memorial Park because we're kind of connected. [1:02:46, 1:02:51]: Even though those are those two locations are outside of the Main Street district because [1:02:51, 1:02:53]: The trail connects to the downtown. [1:02:53, 1:02:58]: We felt that there was, you know, a causal connection to those two. [1:02:58, 1:02:59]: Faces as well. [1:03:00, 1:03:07]: Well and in addition to Clark Park here, we also have a table at JP Moseley Park for you know, and that's considered a Stockbridge Park. [1:03:07, 1:03:08]: Yeah. [1:03:08, 1:03:09]: So [1:03:09, 1:03:15]: And and and people have really connected with the project. There's been a lot of excitement about it. I've even received a a letter from [1:03:15, 1:03:19]: uh uh a a local judge uh out of mcdonna [1:03:19, 1:03:33]: uh commending the project and and and her and expressing her excitement over the project and and its life and what it can do for for tourism uh and for you know just the community as a whole with connecting with public art. [1:03:33, 1:03:33]: Okay. [1:03:34, 1:03:39]: Well, thank you so much. And financially we could afford all three if we wanted to, correct? [1:03:39, 1:03:43]: That is correct. Um, Mr. Firch, I saw your hand raised. [1:03:44, 1:03:49]: Yeah, I just had a quick question about how it's set up. More talking about positioning. So [1:03:49, 1:03:57]: Is it like connected to a tree or is it built on its own pole or how are we what are we looking at on in regards to placement? [1:03:58, 1:04:18]: We have the option for either. Um, all the trees thus far are installed uh, excuse me, all the tables thus far are installed on trees. And we've gone through the process of making sure that we do that uh echo-friendly and safely so that we're not damaging or or injuring the trees. We use what we call as we ordered it as. [1:04:18, 1:04:34]: specifically called tree strap. It's an elastic, an elastomeric type strap that we attach the tables to the trees with. And we're also going back and reinforcing that with metal zip tie straps. And but with the metal zip tie straps just means we'll have to [1:04:34, 1:04:54]: uh make sure that we keep an eye and make sure it doesn't at some point as the tree grows cut into the tree or the bark in in any way. But but we feel like that helps make it a little more secure. So that um but so all thus far have been installed on trees, but we do have the option if the CD chooses to install it on a post. But you know, obviously it being in a parks, we'd have to work with the public works department. [1:04:54, 1:05:00]: To have the post installed like we did the little free libraries and then install the table to that post. [1:05:01, 1:05:03]: Gotcha. Okay, cool. Yeah, sounds good. [1:05:04, 1:05:04]: Okay. [1:05:05, 1:05:10]: So is there any other discussion? And I'm sorry, we actually I was [1:05:10, 1:05:14]: kinda trying to look through my files while we were talking to see if I had the picture. [1:05:15, 1:05:18]: of the one that's in um Clark Park attached to the tree, but [1:05:19, 1:05:25]: I didn't have enough time to pull it up. And I'm sorry I didn't have it because it shows how it's strapped to the tree, but it's up high enough. [1:05:25, 1:05:45]: where kids can't jump on it and swing on it, but you know, low enough for you to be able to see it. Uh Willie, did you have a comment? Yes. Yes. A couple. One, that was the qu first question. Do you is there a site or picture we can go to? I'm a little visual of this to see a a picture of what [1:05:45, 1:05:46]: We're referring to [1:05:46, 1:05:56]: Yeah. I can show you a table uh here if you you have a picture of one installed, but I can show you a completed table here that hasn't been installed yet. Let me grab it. Okay, thanks. [1:05:56, 1:06:02]: And secondly, uh I know the sponsorship for the table is two hundred and fifty dollars. [1:06:02, 1:06:22]: It's$250 for one. Right. And it's um if we go with two, it would be$500. And if we go with the three, it would be the$750. Right. Um, and that would give us, you know, control over all three of the tables. Okay. You know, so for those who haven't seen them yet, this is the size. It's actually scaled down. [1:06:22, 1:06:26]: down to the size of a s it's a picnic table scale down to the size of a squirrel. [1:06:26, 1:06:28]: So if you can picture a squirrel sitting here on top. [1:06:29, 1:06:49]: eating uh nuts and and walnuts and things. Um and and and I guess to uh uh Anika's question about uh is it or will food be placed on them? Nobody intends to regularly uh check the tables and see if there's food for squirrels, but we do encourage and and the tables are designed [1:06:48, 1:07:08]: to encourage public interaction. I have checked on a couple of tables from phase one in the county parks and people are placing walnuts and and peanuts on the tables and leaving them there and feeding the squirrels that way. So we encourage interaction with the public in that manner as well. But some people have caught pictures with the squirrels on them, so. [1:07:09, 1:07:09]: Yes. [1:07:10, 1:07:24]: Um this table was decorated by local artist Velkita Reading. She's one of the artists that presents a product here in our store. We were able to work with Velkita and uh entice her into decorating a table. [1:07:24, 1:07:27]: And so you know and and the only uh [1:07:27, 1:07:47]: We encourage them to decorate the tables in a manner that expresses their art. So, you know, there doesn't have to be a squirrel on it, though she did. Most of them have some type of image of a squirrel, but that's not required. We just ask that they be decorated in a manner that we will weather treat them and they'll be able to withstand the element. [1:07:47, 1:07:48]: For two years. [1:07:49, 1:07:50]: So [1:07:50, 1:07:53]: And um my second question was the [1:07:54, 1:08:14]: The sponsorship of 250 per table. Is that the same cost after the two-year period uh to service these tables? What is the cost? Would that be 250 if we had to replace them again? Would that be the same cost? What's the difference in the sponsorship and the cost after after the two years to replace if something [1:08:14, 1:08:14]: happens. [1:08:15, 1:08:35]: Uh the the original sponsorship willie is two hundred and fifty and that and what and what we're saying is that two hundred and fifty not only gets you a decorated table and and installation, it also gets the maintenance of the table for two years. So if a table and but we we back that up with a guarantee that if a table is stolen or [1:08:35, 1:08:55]: Or irreparably damaged by act of nature or vandalism or something, we will replace that table the first time for free. Right. If it is damaged or stolen again, then we replace it at cost if the sponsor chooses to have it replaced. And cost for us has turned out to be the base cost. [1:08:55, 1:09:03]: Cost for the table is$40 plus whatever materials the artist might have in it. So I'm thinking cost is probably gonna be around. [1:09:03, 1:09:06]: eighty or ninety dollars, depending on the individual artist. [1:09:06, 1:09:26]: Okay. All right. Uh and and also um I think this was a good idea from my perspective. Uh the pandemic has helped a lot of us and a lot of our budget, so we didn't hadn't spun any money. And we're very good stewards of money. And based on me looking at the the the financial sheets, I think we're in a good position. Uh [1:09:26, 1:09:44]: not to try to allow the city to to partner to buy one, why not Main Street just purchase all three? And then if the city won't, we uh give one to the city on behalf of Main Street. And since we have that that that budgetary line out of the money that we hadn't spent. So I think it's a good investment. [1:09:44, 1:09:58]: in reference to it and it brings some continuity and some excitement downtown to our downtown and it it it goes along with with with the other cities as well. So I I think it's a good idea. That's a good idea. Okay. Well sir would you like to make that motion? I would. [1:09:58, 1:10:08]: Okay, fabulous. I moved that we allocate$750 towards the the Bushy Tail Art Trail Project Squirrel Tables. [1:10:09, 1:10:11]: And as the main street bowl. [1:10:12, 1:10:14]: Okay. [1:10:14, 1:10:16]: Okay. Is there any discussion? [1:10:18, 1:10:19]: Can I ask a question? [1:10:20, 1:10:20]: Yes, sir. [1:10:21, 1:10:27]: Since I'm actually on the on the consortium and and the one presenting this here, is it appropriate for me to vote on this or should I abstain? [1:10:29, 1:10:30]: Oh [1:10:30, 1:10:31]: Um [1:10:32, 1:10:37]: I guess you should abstain from this particular vote. Yes, please. And that you sustain, yes, sir. [1:10:37, 1:10:38]: Mm-hmm. [1:10:38, 1:10:42]: Okay. Um Anika, you want to call the vote? [1:10:42, 1:10:48]: Yes. Um all those in favor of accepting the motion as presented, please raise your hand. [1:10:50, 1:10:55]: And Linda and Mildred are um having a black screen, so we just need to hear from them. [1:10:56, 1:10:59]: I accept. Thank you, Miss Jones. Miss Reed? [1:10:59, 1:11:00]: I accept. [1:11:00, 1:11:01]: Thank you. [1:11:02, 1:11:05]: Okay, we will move forward with that. [1:11:05, 1:11:09]: Thank you very much and thank you, Greg, for um the presentation. [1:11:10, 1:11:20]: All right. Um and Greg, I'll get with you um after our meeting at another time to kind of settle all of that up. Okay. Thank you all for the vote. [1:11:21, 1:11:33]: Okay. Next on the agenda are my updates with regard to the mural. The mural concept has been decided upon in the um [1:11:33, 1:11:36]: Artist is working on that particular [1:11:36, 1:11:40]: Um design. So we're excited about that in the committee. [1:11:40, 1:11:50]: Um, I think is very satisfied with that. So we're looking forward to being able to unveil that mural at the end of June if everything goes well, fingers crossed. [1:11:50, 1:12:00]: Um the website is also moving along pretty swiftly. Um I had hoped to get more um beta testing from our um [1:12:00, 1:12:07]: Main Street Advisory Board, only a few people um gave me any comment with regard to [1:12:07, 1:12:12]: the website and functionality and that sort of thing. So if you can [1:12:12, 1:12:23]: Still we're still working on it. So if you will all please again put that rubber band on your wrist to remind you to please go onto the website. I sent the link out. [1:12:23, 1:12:30]: Um before our last meeting, I can send it out again. If you have any feedback, we really need you all to test this site. [1:12:30, 1:12:32]: And look at it to make sure that. [1:12:32, 1:12:46]: We haven't missed anything as far as, you know, misplaced words, any kind of functionality difficulties, if it gets stuck, if it freezes anywhere, especially on cell phones, because we really want this to be mobile friendly. [1:12:46, 1:12:50]: So if you all could take some time. [1:12:51, 1:12:52]: Yes, um [1:12:52, 1:12:56]: Somebody's got music playing me to you. Nice, please. [1:12:56, 1:12:57]: Um but [1:12:58, 1:13:03]: If you all could just take a an opportunity to go on, some of you did um respond and I thank you for that. [1:13:04, 1:13:07]: feedback but if everyone else could please just do your part and [1:13:08, 1:13:12]: Go on just for five minutes and just see if you see anything that we need to correct. [1:13:13, 1:13:16]: Because we're gonna try to launch this um [1:13:16, 1:13:20]: Hopefully at the end of June when we're launching our [1:13:20, 1:13:20]: Um [1:13:21, 1:13:29]: mural launching the website, launching the new logo, just doing a big launch to welcome um the summer season. So [1:13:29, 1:13:33]: Um hopefully um we can get that done. Yes, Anika. [1:13:33, 1:13:42]: Um are you interested in getting some feedback at this time or you want it written? Cause I was able to navigate quite a few times on the [1:13:42, 1:14:02]: And would love to just share like literally five seconds if that's okay. You can do that. And and I will say if there's anything that you want to send in, you know, there's more detail or whatever, please do that as well, because we forward that on to the um designer. But yes, go go ahead, please. So just very briefly, just wanted to state that. [1:14:02, 1:14:11]: That it is very robust. There's a lot of content. When you scroll through it, it feels like it's extremely long. [1:14:11, 1:14:31]: I don't know if that was the intention. So meaning you're scrolling, you're scrolling, you're scrolling with most websites, that home landing page doesn't have that ability to scroll so deep into the site. So that was a little different. I didn't know if that was the intention or not. So I did want to mention that. Um Were you on mobile or were you on um [1:14:31, 1:14:51]: Desktop. Desktop. Okay. Yeah. And and I just felt a little different. Not that anything was wrong with it, but I didn't know if that was the intention that you can scroll so far, you know, into the site. Um, and the colors were gorgeous. The photographs were uh again very robust and did want to say the content was rich. Um didn't see any time. [1:14:51, 1:14:59]: typos, very easy to navigate, but just that was a little different. So I just wanted to mention if I don't know if that was the intention or not. [1:15:00, 1:15:20]: It was um the intention for you to be able to kind of if you didn't want to navigate the toolbar at the top or selection bar at the top, you could kind of scroll through and then when something grabs your interest, you could kind of stop and and hit that um icon or you know click on that picture or that video or whatever and [1:15:20, 1:15:40]: Go to that immediately. It does have arrows on the side to show you that you can go up and down, or you can immediately go back up to the top to where the selection bar is. So it was kind of designed for you to kind of keep moving until you saw something that struck your fancy. [1:15:40, 1:15:43]: Um Lisa, did you have any more comment on that? [1:15:43, 1:15:50]: Yes. Um first I wanted to thank the folks who have already given feedback because [1:15:50, 1:16:05]: It was uh it was really valuable. We were able to use that information to um make major tweaks, you know, because it had not been seen by anybody but us and we were kind of working [1:16:05, 1:16:13]: on the backside of the program, not you know, not the front side where you can do it on your mobile or or on any other device. So that's one. [1:16:13, 1:16:17]: And two, um, I appreciate Anika's comment. [1:16:18, 1:16:18]: Um [1:16:19, 1:16:20]: What we [1:16:20, 1:16:22]: thought about when we were designing it is that [1:16:23, 1:16:28]: The data we have says that most of our visitors are older people. [1:16:28, 1:16:29]: Um they're not like [1:16:30, 1:16:31]: millennials. [1:16:31, 1:16:34]: Um, we hope we get more millennials and [1:16:35, 1:16:38]: younger gen X and all of them, but um [1:16:38, 1:16:44]: I say Gen Z and all of them, but we get moms, grand moms. [1:16:44, 1:16:56]: you know, people who come out for family activities. And we thought about making sure it's easy for those people to navigate who may not be accustomed to being online often. [1:16:56, 1:16:58]: So uh we thought the [1:16:58, 1:16:59]: Scrolling. [1:16:59, 1:17:15]: uh down was simpler. But like Kara said, there are easy uh navigations to the other pages and and it'll bring you, you know, kind of circle you back. So you're not like, how did I get here and how do I get back where I want to go. [1:17:15, 1:17:18]: Um, we just thought it was easier that way. [1:17:19, 1:17:31]: Thank you. And I love our board picture. Gorgeous. Thank you. Yes. Isn't it a wonderful picture? Or it should fall right in there. If for nothing else, just go to the about us part of the website to see the Main Street advisory board stuff. [1:17:32, 1:17:44]: Oh, just wonderful. Okay. Um, any other comment? Cause we're kind of going long, so I want to keep on moving if there are no other comments. But if you get a chance, please go. I'll send the link back out again. [1:17:45, 1:18:01]: Um as far as our downtown projects are concerned, the one that I have the um most information that I'd like to share with you all about, and um that is the um revitalization or remodel of 114 MLK. [1:18:01, 1:18:04]: And I'm gonna share my screen um very quickly. [1:18:05, 1:18:05]: Um [1:18:06, 1:18:10]: If you all can you all see my screen? [1:18:12, 1:18:29]: Yes. Okay, great. All right. Um, this is 114 Martin Luther King Senior Heritage Trail in its current condition. Um, you all um drive by it when you go into the downtown area. Um, we've got the um [1:18:29, 1:18:31]: We the city has [1:18:31, 1:18:33]: Перші this particular property. [1:18:33, 1:18:36]: And has given us the go ahead, as you all know, to um [1:18:36, 1:18:37]: Remodel and white. [1:18:38, 1:18:40]: Basically white box the inside. [1:18:40, 1:18:43]: Just to give you some um historical reference. [1:18:43, 1:18:51]: These are some historic photos of downtown. Um, this is looking down the street from like if you were standing up at Greg's shop. [1:18:52, 1:18:53]: Looking down. [1:18:53, 1:19:00]: Um and this is in the um opposite if you're walking in the opposite direction from what I understand. [1:19:00, 1:19:01]: Um [1:19:02, 1:19:04]: And as you can see, we've got. [1:19:05, 1:19:10]: Flat front um where you have kind of a um zero um inverted front. [1:19:11, 1:19:14]: And then we have the inverted front with the recessed um [1:19:15, 1:19:18]: Entrance into the the building. So you've got [1:19:18, 1:19:19]: You know, where you does [1:19:20, 1:19:23]: literally go into the front door and then you have the recessed [1:19:24, 1:19:24]: Um [1:19:25, 1:19:27]: Entrance. So this is what [1:19:27, 1:19:30]: The hiss from a historic point of view, what the downtown looked like. [1:19:31, 1:19:31]: Um [1:19:31, 1:19:33]: In the early nineteen hundreds. [1:19:34, 1:19:34]: Okay. [1:19:35, 1:19:42]: Um this is kind of a close up of the historic facade. So you can kind of see that. I probably should have brought that up um for the [1:19:42, 1:19:43]: To explain that. [1:19:44, 1:19:52]: But we have three options for 114, and we're working with TSW, the city's architect. [1:19:52, 1:19:53]: Two [1:19:53, 1:20:01]: Um, decide what that building is gonna look like, what that facade is gonna look like on the front. And I wanted to present it to you all. [1:20:01, 1:20:08]: to get some um feedback with regard to what you all would like to see as the main street advisory board. [1:20:09, 1:20:14]: First option is um of Martin Luther King Senior Heritage Trail. [1:20:14, 1:20:19]: Um one building one fourteen reimagined. This is what it looks like now. [1:20:19, 1:20:20]: Um [1:20:20, 1:20:25]: This is the flat front with no recessed um or inverted entrance. [1:20:25, 1:20:27]: And if you look at this. [1:20:27, 1:20:29]: Picture at the bottom. [1:20:29, 1:20:34]: This is what it would look like basically, the door here and the picture windows across the front. [1:20:34, 1:20:35]: Okay. [1:20:36, 1:20:39]: Um, so that's what it looks like now. [1:20:40, 1:20:44]: But of course we'd fix this, but you know, see, it's all windows and just a door. [1:20:45, 1:20:45]: Yeah. [1:20:46, 1:20:48]: The second option would be [1:20:49, 1:20:51]: Oh, I should have this on. [1:20:51, 1:20:53]: Presentation. Sorry about that. [1:20:57, 1:21:01]: The second option would be uh inverted entrance. [1:21:02, 1:21:02]: Okay. [1:21:03, 1:21:04]: And we [1:21:04, 1:21:09]: We um maybe because you're using your double screen today. [1:21:09, 1:21:12]: What we see is both your um [1:21:13, 1:21:21]: We see the small uh presentation, but we see your slide, your next slide and series as well. [1:21:21, 1:21:23]: It's not really doing a slideshow. [1:21:23, 1:21:24]: Okay. [1:21:24, 1:21:29]: Hmm. I don't know why I that's because you've got on double screen. If you were not [1:21:29, 1:21:32]: plugged into the double monitors, it wouldn't work that way. [1:21:33, 1:21:34]: Oh. [1:21:34, 1:21:39]: So how do I fix that? You can see it as it is. Yeah, it's okay like this. [1:21:40, 1:21:44]: We okay. We can get it. We get it. Okay. I'm sorry. I don't know how to fix that. [1:21:45, 1:21:45]: And um [1:21:46, 1:21:55]: We're running long, so I don't want to explore them. I'm sorry. Um, so this is um option two. Can you all see the inverted entrance there? [1:21:56, 1:21:56]: Mm-hmm. [1:21:57, 1:22:05]: And that is, you know, kind of what's depicted in this particular storefront where you've got the inverted entrance. [1:22:06, 1:22:07]: So [1:22:08, 1:22:14]: We don't we don't know that that building we can't tell because we think that in this picture. [1:22:14, 1:22:22]: This is the space where that building actually was. And as you can see, there's an empty space. So we don't know. [1:22:22, 1:22:23]: Um [1:22:24, 1:22:26]: We're thinking that it was a flat front. [1:22:27, 1:22:27]: Фасад [1:22:28, 1:22:32]: Батс наверted фаса і [1:22:32, 1:22:34]: Um relevant to that period and [1:22:35, 1:22:36]: Um could be [1:22:36, 1:22:38]: Um, as we've seen. [1:22:38, 1:22:42]: In this picture here, that inverted facade, um, which is [1:22:43, 1:22:43]: Um [1:22:44, 1:22:45]: Like what Greg. [1:22:45, 1:22:47]: Had with his particular building. [1:22:47, 1:22:50]: Um, we would be able to. [1:22:51, 1:22:53]: Бринг інверти фасад. [1:22:53, 1:22:55]: to this particular building if [1:22:56, 1:22:57]: Uh we would like to. [1:22:58, 1:23:01]: And then the third option is uh [1:23:02, 1:23:04]: Флат фронт фасад, азю кінсі хір. [1:23:05, 1:23:10]: But there would be columns put here on each side of the door. [1:23:11, 1:23:15]: And there would be flat front, those are the two columns, and that is just to help. [1:23:16, 1:23:16]: Sure up. [1:23:17, 1:23:21]: the um brick facade because we'd be adding some additional brick here. [1:23:21, 1:23:24]: Пикас, аж you saw in this particular building. [1:23:25, 1:23:27]: It was all glass across the front. [1:23:27, 1:23:33]: So we would basically be putting columns on each side, which is also still relevant to the period. [1:23:33, 1:23:36]: Деву флет агріґєнс та фасад. [1:23:36, 1:23:40]: That would um help shore up the brick. [1:23:40, 1:23:42]: That would be needed to fill in the space. [1:23:43, 1:23:44]: So [1:23:45, 1:23:52]: Is there any opinion or preference based on those three options with regard to? [1:23:52, 1:23:56]: the front facade. So we have flat two flat fronts. [1:23:57, 1:23:58]: Flat with um [1:23:59, 1:24:01]: All of the picture windows. [1:24:01, 1:24:02]: We have [1:24:03, 1:24:05]: The inverted entrance. [1:24:06, 1:24:10]: Which still has the picture windows, but would have the inverted windows. [1:24:10, 1:24:12]: On each side. And then we have the [1:24:13, 1:24:15]: Ам смале пікчу. [1:24:16, 1:24:17]: Um [1:24:17, 1:24:20]: But the columns to help support the brick that would be put in place. [1:24:21, 1:24:23]: Where that glass would have been. [1:24:24, 1:24:27]: So is there any um [1:24:27, 1:24:29]: Preference or discussion or [1:24:30, 1:24:34]: interest in um what that is actually going to look like. [1:24:37, 1:24:39]: And um [1:24:39, 1:24:43]: Perhaps our our shopkeepers can even um [1:24:43, 1:24:50]: Um, Greg and Linda can even um add some comment with regard to the need for um [1:24:50, 1:24:58]: you know, picture windows and entering into the building, um, what you all have experienced because we would like to [1:24:59, 1:25:03]: make these either retail or make this either a retail or restaurant space. [1:25:04, 1:25:05]: Um [1:25:06, 1:25:10]: All right, so I'll just jump in there. Um you know, with with the resist. [1:25:10, 1:25:12]: Uh entrance. Uh [1:25:12, 1:25:14]: The setback. Um [1:25:14, 1:25:29]: you're actually eating into the square footage of your space by doing that. Although it is a nod to historic preservation, um that may be something to consider. And so you know depending on what you the intended use of the building is may [1:25:29, 1:25:37]: may have some influence as to which way you go. And I I think the the second option or or maybe it was the third option of adding the brick [1:25:37, 1:25:38]: Um [1:25:38, 1:25:58]: Columns. So that was the third. Yes. Kind of gives it more of a modern uh approach from my standpoint. But uh the recessed uh opening there could actually, instead of being a recess, could just be used as as uh an enclosed vestibule, and that may help with uh air cons air conditioning. [1:25:58, 1:26:00]: conditioning and air control. [1:26:00, 1:26:20]: with the building. So I I don't know that I helped. I'm just kind of defining what what I kind of what I see. Our building used to have a recessed front. You when we first moved in here, you could tell from the paint lines, and actually you can kind of still see the paint lines on our ceiling from where it used to be a recessed opening and it was pushed back out to be a flat front. [1:26:20, 1:26:32]: Which kind of helps with the look of the store actually, just to have a solid wall of glass. Um so I think it depends on what the intended use of the building is, may dictate maybe which direction you want to go there. [1:26:32, 1:26:35]: Okay. Linda, did you have any comment? [1:26:36, 1:26:51]: Yeah, I concur what Greg said. Um that opening is very important. So it's according to what's going to be put in that space, um, retail or what have you, the window uh glass opening is very nice. I don't personally have that at my place because. [1:26:52, 1:26:53]: I just don't. [1:26:53, 1:26:58]: I bought it like it is, but I do like um that having the open space on that part. [1:27:00, 1:27:01]: I went the window. [1:27:01, 1:27:02]: Mm-hmm. Or glass. [1:27:03, 1:27:03]: Okay. [1:27:04, 1:27:05]: Any other comment? [1:27:08, 1:27:14]: I will say that with the um inverted space, those inverted spaces were designed to kind of have like a [1:27:15, 1:27:16]: Um for the uh [1:27:16, 1:27:20]: retailer to have kind of a um showcase um box. [1:27:21, 1:27:24]: Where people would be able to spend more people. [1:27:25, 1:27:32]: Who s were spending more time looking in the window to see what the shopkeeper had in their inventory or what they were displaying? [1:27:33, 1:27:35]: І вот алаутем то степ інтер. [1:27:36, 1:27:36]: That [1:27:36, 1:27:48]: um recessed area, have cover if there were elements, and be able to look in the window more thoroughly and not be blocking the sidewalk for people walking back and forth. [1:27:48, 1:27:57]: So that's what that invert was actually designed for, to keep people out of the elements while they were looking in the shopkeeper's showcase window. [1:27:57, 1:28:00]: And to also keep them off of the sad walk. [1:28:00, 1:28:04]: In the you know, right away while other people were busily walking up and down the street. [1:28:05, 1:28:09]: Um, I have seen those recesses used in um [1:28:09, 1:28:13]: restaurants and they put tables in those little [1:28:13, 1:28:14]: Um [1:28:14, 1:28:16]: Showcase windows that are [1:28:17, 1:28:20]: Available at the front that that recess creates. [1:28:20, 1:28:28]: And then also I've seen, you know, shopkeepers put displays in those windows that are created, those showcase boxes that are created. [1:28:28, 1:28:30]: Um by the recess. [1:28:31, 1:28:33]: But as Greg said, it does. [1:28:33, 1:28:34]: You know. [1:28:34, 1:28:35]: Come into it can take [1:28:36, 1:28:38]: You know, way, you know, up to [1:28:38, 1:28:39]: Anywhere from [1:28:39, 1:28:42]: you know, I guess twenty square feet or more. [1:28:42, 1:28:43]: Of your um [1:28:44, 1:28:45]: Your [1:28:46, 1:28:47]: Um shop space. [1:28:48, 1:28:49]: So [1:28:50, 1:28:54]: You know, that's a concern. And again, we don't know what's going there yet. [1:28:55, 1:29:00]: That would be up to the council as to what they want to um try to recruit for that particular building. [1:29:01, 1:29:07]: Um and the DDA. And I think we can probably also talk about that at our strategic planning meeting. [1:29:07, 1:29:08]: So um [1:29:10, 1:29:13]: I don't know if this is the time to move forward with [1:29:13, 1:29:14]: Making a a [1:29:14, 1:29:15]: An exact decision. [1:29:16, 1:29:24]: without maybe also talking about it with the DDA, but we do want to make some decision quickly because we want the work to start. [1:29:24, 1:29:26]: Greg and then Amika. [1:29:26, 1:29:38]: Uh uh I will just add that the you know, the recessed entrance can actually add interest to the line of storefronts because you've got a little variation there. So it kind of makes it a little more interesting. So maybe [1:29:39, 1:29:43]: I was leaning a little bit more toward that um recess because [1:29:44, 1:29:45]: Um for the for the [1:29:45, 1:29:50]: exact reason to give it a little that building a little bit more character and to [1:29:50, 1:29:56]: add some variety to our downtown um that historic row of buildings there. [1:29:56, 1:29:57]: Um [1:29:57, 1:29:59]: So thanks for bringing that up. [1:29:59, 1:30:00]: Greg. Um Anika. [1:30:01, 1:30:21]: Uh yes, you guys pretty much hit the points I were I was thinking. Aesthetically, the recess looks better in terms of walkability. It will attract people to look in the windows. Yes, it may take away from your ability to have inventory, but if you have display in there explaining what's inside, it'll bring [1:30:21, 1:30:36]: people in so it's it you know it it's your marketing or if it's a restaurant it's your your um customer sitting there so I think it allows for the space to be used for so many different purposes [1:30:36, 1:30:37]: Um [1:30:38, 1:30:47]: Also, like the concept if you're going to keep it flat or the building requires that you have to keep it flat, that the the uh brick be used. [1:30:47, 1:30:52]: Um, because it kind of gives it a little more um substantial look. This is all me looking at it. [1:30:52, 1:31:11]: as a person walking down the street and the aesthetics of it. But um if I was to choose between the three, the recess um is awesome. And then also remembering the per um historical conservation and bringing that back is awesome too. But you guys really hit it when you said one [1:31:11, 1:31:11]: Um [1:31:12, 1:31:12]: Uh [1:31:13, 1:31:32]: People being able to walk and look and see what your product is. We can use it for just about everything. And you gotta think about the person or business that wants to be in there. They want to have the best possible box to work with. And if your box has, you know, that concept as well, I think you would attract a a a larger um [1:31:33, 1:31:35]: I guess, pool of potential businesses. [1:31:36, 1:31:38]: Okay. Yes, Greg. [1:31:38, 1:31:51]: I want to add one other thing. Um, and and it's from my experience with a wall of glass here. Um, j because of our situation, we we actually get sunrise. So for the first half of the day, especially in the summer. [1:31:51, 1:32:11]: those windows get baked. And and that may so that may require, you know, consideration of maybe even putting an awning uh if if we choose to go with that if you know, if we're gonna go forward with that wall of glass, which I think the wall of glass is the right thing to do. Um, but you know, maybe it should be uh tempered glass or or in in some manner that [1:32:11, 1:32:15]: that kind of cuts back on the UV a little bit and the heat. [1:32:16, 1:32:19]: Um, but just keep in mind that for the first half of the day. [1:32:20, 1:32:22]: It's gonna get baked and that may have an effect on [1:32:23, 1:32:23]: Uh [1:32:24, 1:32:34]: You know, you'd take to you'd take to go through all that process to have that wall of glass there to have the first tenant come in and put up window blinds. That's not gonna look good. So another consideration. [1:32:34, 1:32:35]: Okay. [1:32:36, 1:32:38]: All right. Any other comment? [1:32:39, 1:32:44]: Okay. Um and I did um kind of bring up the option of um [1:32:45, 1:32:49]: Tabling this until our joint meeting when we have the DDA. [1:32:50, 1:32:54]: Um, with us as well. Is that something that you all have an interest in? [1:32:55, 1:32:58]: Um, maybe having it on the table for um maybe [1:32:59, 1:33:01]: Um, discussion with the DDA as well. [1:33:02, 1:33:06]: Or is that something we feel more comfortable with going on and making a decision? [1:33:07, 1:33:08]: Um today. [1:33:10, 1:33:17]: Well, I would say to just to hold off on until the DVA to see what they had in mind. Cause I know um [1:33:17, 1:33:37]: with the other building, the firehouse building, they're talking about the restaurant and all that. So we don't know if they're trying to do restaurant retail or or what that looks like. That might help us in regards to, you know, getting an idea. I am leaning towards the inverted, whether it's a restaurant and has tables or like little bar stools right there, kind of like what you were mentioning. Or if it has um [1:33:37, 1:33:50]: um, you know, some retail space where, you know, people can look in there. I think, you know, having that discussion, um, bringing them in bringing their opinion into the fold of what they're they're planning on doing will will help make that decision. So [1:33:51, 1:33:51]: Okay. [1:33:52, 1:33:53]: Any other comment? [1:33:57, 1:33:57]: Okay. [1:33:58, 1:34:01]: All right. I think Lisa might be frozen. Um [1:34:02, 1:34:04]: Oh no, she's not frozen. Okay. [1:34:05, 1:34:06]: All right, um [1:34:06, 1:34:08]: Anyone else have any comment on that? [1:34:09, 1:34:11]: Okay, well um [1:34:11, 1:34:20]: I think that, you know, in the spirit of um the joint meeting and um looking forward to being more collaborative with the DDA with regard to [1:34:20, 1:34:23]: The downtown design, this might be a good um [1:34:24, 1:34:24]: First [1:34:24, 1:34:26]: Step toward um [1:34:27, 1:34:28]: Talking with them and discussing. [1:34:29, 1:34:31]: Um something that's gonna have a [1:34:31, 1:34:34]: An impact in our downtown, how it looks and [1:34:34, 1:34:39]: Bills. So I think that um that's a good idea if if you all are in agreement with that. [1:34:42, 1:34:50]: Okay, so we're gonna go on and table that until our next meeting. I don't I mean, yeah, until the joint meeting, joint strategic planning meeting. [1:34:50, 1:34:57]: Um, I do not have um a report from the DDA. So now we can move to um [1:34:57, 1:35:01]: The announcement and the concerns that concludes the Main Street Manager's report. [1:35:03, 1:35:04]: Thank you very much. [1:35:04, 1:35:05]: Ranks. [1:35:06, 1:35:11]: Uh are there any announcement or concerns for the board at this time? [1:35:12, 1:35:12]: Okay. [1:35:13, 1:35:13]: Yes, Mr Horse. [1:35:15, 1:35:27]: Um it I guess it's more of a a question and concern is uh I'm glad we're having the joint strategic planning meeting with the DDA, uh but but hearing that we're we're doing it [1:35:28, 1:35:32]: At the end of June in the community center makes me question [1:35:32, 1:35:42]: the progress of converting the community center to be Main Street. Where are we on that project? And where are we on the alleyway project? Things that [1:35:42, 1:35:45]: You know, I I kind of assume dirt that through the pandemic we would [1:35:46, 1:35:49]: Have accomplished some things, but it it seems like [1:35:50, 1:35:53]: And this is gonna sound a little negative, it seems like our [1:35:53, 1:36:07]: City Council has been more focused on trivial things and as opposed to helping us move Main Street and the RSVP plan or anything forward for development. So that that's that's the concern I have is what are we actually accomplishing. [1:36:08, 1:36:08]: Um [1:36:09, 1:36:12]: Physically and visibly as Main Street, um [1:36:12, 1:36:15]: And and where are we on all that? Okay. [1:36:15, 1:36:22]: And I can speak to um I was hoping that Mr. Knighton was going to be on the meeting because he would have been able [1:36:22, 1:36:26]: To provide us with a better update on the alleyway project. [1:36:26, 1:36:31]: Um 114 is um moving forward as you can see. We're working with the architects. [1:36:31, 1:36:41]: As are we with the Ted Strickland, I just didn't have a drawing to show you all of the completed work, but Lisa and I have been meeting with them with regard to [1:36:41, 1:36:46]: um the interior of that particular space. So that work is going on. [1:36:46, 1:36:47]: Um [1:36:47, 1:36:51]: The uh so that's the Ted Strickland and the um [1:36:51, 1:36:56]: MLK f one fourteen MLK, Lisa and I have been very active with that. [1:36:56, 1:37:01]: Um the alleyway project, not so much. We have not received an update. [1:37:02, 1:37:02]: Um [1:37:03, 1:37:08]: in over a month and that's why I was hoping that Mr. Knighton would be able to provide us with that. [1:37:08, 1:37:14]: So unfortunately, I'm not able to give you an update when we last talked with them. [1:37:14, 1:37:15]: Um [1:37:15, 1:37:20]: They were trying to work with the engineering designs for. [1:37:20, 1:37:21]: The underground utilities. [1:37:22, 1:37:30]: And um I had not received anything other than I've requested updates but haven't um received them yet. So I was hoping we would be able to get that. [1:37:30, 1:37:43]: But I will um I am noting your concern with regard to that and hopefully I'll be able to send you all some sort of update with regard to that. Um as far as the Ted Strickland um the construction, yes. [1:37:44, 1:37:45]: The construction um [1:37:46, 1:37:48]: Can't happen until we have an approved [1:37:48, 1:37:49]: Um [1:37:49, 1:37:53]: design and an approved budget. So we're supposed to be getting [1:37:53, 1:37:56]: those final designs um very soon. [1:37:56, 1:38:00]: Um so we'll be hearing um that coming up in council meeting. [1:38:00, 1:38:02]: Um very soon as well. [1:38:02, 1:38:05]: Uh Mr. Thomas, did you want to respond? [1:38:06, 1:38:06]: Yes. [1:38:07, 1:38:07]: Oh. [1:38:09, 1:38:11]: Um Mr. Thomas first, then Alan. [1:38:11, 1:38:12]: Okay. [1:38:12, 1:38:16]: Yeah, I just wanted to say uh the city council is just like the main street. [1:38:17, 1:38:21]: We are pushing for these projects to move forward as well. [1:38:21, 1:38:27]: Um the city council really do not have an issue with trying to to stop any of these projects. [1:38:27, 1:38:34]: Um we are pushing the city managers well. I just want you know the the board to be clear that. [1:38:35, 1:38:39]: You know, we don't really have an issue of trying to stop uh entities project. [1:38:39, 1:38:50]: Uh we push every day uh with wayfinding uh what's going on with the uh refiguration of Lee Street. So we push every day for things to move forward. [1:38:51, 1:38:52]: Um [1:38:52, 1:38:58]: We we just have issues with with with the snail pace, but Mr. Peterson may be able to speak to some of that. [1:38:59, 1:38:59]: Okay. [1:39:00, 1:39:00]: Ellen [1:39:01, 1:39:15]: Yes, I spoke with Mr. Knighton on yesterday about the RSVP uh plan, particularly the um the MLK senior bridge. Uh we've been talking about this for a while. Mr. Knighton contacted ARC. [1:39:16, 1:39:36]: And uh we're going to set up a meeting with them. It'll be myself, Mr. Knight, and Breca, who's over community development. And right now we're waiting on the ARC to get some contracts signed with GDOT. So we are uh moving along with the RSVP plan, particularly that bridge. That's been a primary concern. [1:39:35, 1:39:41]: concern of mine because we need that connectivity piece since the amphitheater is coming. So I've been [1:39:41, 1:39:50]: um Mr. Knighton about the uh the RSVP plan and and the bridge and waiting on ARC to get back with us. But you know, ARC knows we're we're aggressively trying to get this done. [1:39:52, 1:39:52]: Okay. [1:39:53, 1:39:57]: Thank you, um, both Councilman Thomas and Mr. Peterson. [1:39:57, 1:40:01]: Um hopefully they gave you a little bit more information, Greg, and we'll [1:40:01, 1:40:04]: Um keep you updated and um [1:40:04, 1:40:07]: That's something that I'll probably add to our agenda. [1:40:07, 1:40:13]: Um, to allow for Mr. Peterson to give us a little update with regard to economic development. [1:40:13, 1:40:18]: Um, how it touches Main Street and the progress of those particular projects. [1:40:18, 1:40:22]: Because that was an update for me as well with regard to the um [1:40:22, 1:40:23]: The breach. [1:40:23, 1:40:32]: Okay. Um I did want to make one other announcement, and that was um there will be a Carrie May Hambrick. [1:40:32, 1:40:33]: Days so [1:40:34, 1:40:35]: Operation. [1:40:35, 1:40:38]: And I have misplaced my [1:40:38, 1:40:39]: Why yeah. [1:40:40, 1:40:51]: Um, Mr. Thomas, you might know some. Yeah, actually I was gonna make yeah, I was gonna make two announcements. Uh yeah, on tomorrow the fifteenth, uh we will [1:40:52, 1:40:55]: Um, honor is hammered by [1:40:55, 1:40:57]: uh providing a grocery [1:40:58, 1:41:01]: give away uh to the community [1:41:01, 1:41:17]: uh it is in partnership and collaboration with uh Mrs. Diane Miller who owns the Greenfront Cafe. Oh I got it. Ms. Linda Jones uh who is the owner of uh Feeding My People Food Pantry. [1:41:17, 1:41:21]: And community for real people. [1:41:21, 1:41:25]: Uh and the Starkridge Civic Association. [1:41:26, 1:41:28]: Uh from eleven [1:41:29, 1:41:32]: to where from eleven until the food runs out. [1:41:33, 1:41:35]: Uh there are um [1:41:35, 1:41:39]: Fly is being circulated and there is a route. [1:41:39, 1:41:40]: Like that. [1:41:40, 1:41:44]: Yes, that indicate the route for the cars to to come through. [1:41:45, 1:41:47]: Uh so we're excited, you know, in twenty twenty. [1:41:48, 1:42:01]: was the first year we did not do anything to honor Mrs. Hamburg. You know, we started this in 09, um, the last year that she was alive, uh, but since uh oh nine, [1:42:01, 1:42:15]: All the way up until 2020. Uh, we have been celebrating her life and legacy every year. So this year in 2021, we're going to honor her uh by um hosting a grocery giveaway and [1:42:16, 1:42:20]: And if God willing in twenty twenty two we will uh resume the [1:42:20, 1:42:22]: Full scale um [1:42:22, 1:42:28]: Community celebration. And while I do have the floor, I will just say that we are moving forward. [1:42:28, 1:42:30]: to um [1:42:31, 1:42:37]: Finalize uh a budget for the Carame Hambridge uh Culture Art facility. [1:42:37, 1:42:42]: Um so we had this on the agenda at the last meeting. If any of you was tuned in. [1:42:42, 1:42:52]: So at our very next meeting, we should be able to uh confirm uh that dollar amount so TSW uh can get started. [1:42:53, 1:43:01]: Also, June the 23rd, Wednesday, June the 23rd, I will be uh hosting the first responders. [1:43:01, 1:43:04]: Drive through luncheon. [1:43:04, 1:43:09]: at the mirror manders. Uh so if any of you would like to just be on site to [1:43:10, 1:43:14]: Uh thank and honor uh the f our first responders, um I would appreciate. [1:43:15, 1:43:17]: And what what date is that again? [1:43:17, 1:43:19]: That is uh Wednesday. [1:43:20, 1:43:22]: June the twenty third at twelve noon. [1:43:23, 1:43:31]: Uh we would be feeding uh in a drive-through the Henry County Sheriff, the office of the Henry County uh sheriff. [1:43:31, 1:43:39]: The uh police department, the fire department, and the um emergency management uh staff. [1:43:40, 1:43:47]: Okay. A a drive thru luncheon, twelve noon, Wednesday, June the twenty third, twelve noon. Okay. [1:43:50, 1:43:55]: Excellent. Yes, Mr. Hopkins. [1:43:55, 1:44:09]: Uh just a a brief announcement. Unfortunately, I will not be able to be at the Caremy Hambricks uh event. Normally I would, but just for information purposes, I will be not too far from Carramet Hambrick. [1:44:10, 1:44:30]: The leadership at Globe Impact Christian Ministries will be doing a rolling fish fry. So if you got time once it's over, please come through, get you a hot plate of fish, and just roll through so we can wave at you and see if you can throw some fish, you know, after the carry may hammer's uh event or doing the [1:44:30, 1:44:37]: that time. So I just want to give you that tidbit of information. Uh we're out doing our thing and supporting the community in Henry County. [1:44:37, 1:44:42]: What time is what time does it start and end? Twelve to two, noon to two. [1:44:43, 1:44:44]: Okay. [1:44:46, 1:44:47]: All right. [1:44:47, 1:44:59]: Wow, we have lots of great things going on this weekend in Stockbridge. Good stuff.
