[0:07:41, 0:07:42]: Anyway, inside joke, right? [0:07:43, 0:07:59]: All right, council. I'm sorry about that. We need a motion to adopt uh bell in Washington and uh as our legal counsel. I'm a former judge in Fulton County where I sat in Majesty Court for the last three years and I have a private firm, Bell in Washington, which is, I guess, over here. [0:08:40, 0:08:43]: And we're coming up on fifteen years as being a minority owned firm. [0:08:44, 0:08:48]: And Jeremy Berry is one of my classmates who's a former city attorney for the city of Atlanta. [0:08:48, 0:08:51]: was agreed to help out on this project. [0:08:51, 0:09:02]: And we look forward to being able to work with you all. And anytime you need anything, I'll be scheduling meetings with each one of you all to just talk, say hello, give you a bit of my background, but at four [0:09:02, 0:09:07]: Uh brevity's sake, I am a native Georgian from the city of Wanna Robbins, Georgia, south of here. [0:09:08, 0:09:28]: I am an undergraduate of Florida AM University. I did my master's at the Kennedy School of Government and Public Policy. And I went to law school at Emory University. And I have spent all of my legal career here. And I've advised cities from the Georgia Municipal Association as a member of the African-American or the Black Mayors Association. [0:09:28, 0:09:38]: and the Georgia County elected the Georgia County black officials. And I look forward to using my experience to help work for the city of Stockbridge. So thank you all so much. [0:09:38, 0:09:42]: Thank you, sir. Jeremy, how about you, sir? Any opening comments? Thank you, sir. [0:09:42, 0:09:50]: Thank you, Mayor and members of council. Uh I'm a delighted and honored to be here tonight and to be part of the team with Bell in Washington. So thank you very much. [0:09:51, 0:10:00]: Uh just a brief background. I went like Quentin to Emory University School of Law, graduated in 2003, so been practicing about 17 and a half years. [0:10:00, 0:10:03]: I've been you know, I was with McKenna long an Aldridge. [0:10:03, 0:10:07]: Uh which became Denton's the largest law firm in the world. [0:10:07, 0:10:13]: City of Atlanta, uh then with a smaller firm, Hilliard Starkey, and now with another firm, Chilovis Grubman. [0:10:13, 0:10:20]: Dalby and Warner. My my practice is extensive, a lot of experience in government and government contracts, procurement. [0:10:20, 0:10:21]: uh local government issues. [0:10:22, 0:10:29]: And I I look forward to working with each of you and and when we can safely uh look forward to meeting each one of you in in person. [0:10:29, 0:10:36]: And I again appreciate the opportunity to work with y'all and uh look forward to a a long and productive relationship. [0:10:36, 0:10:53]: Thank you, gentlemen, both. And uh congratulations and uh we'll make it long and prosperous for us all as you uh have our legal counsel. Okay. Um now back to you, Mr. Aaron. Uh approval of the FY twenty two of FY twenty twenty two L Meg, please list. [0:10:54, 0:11:02]: Yes, Mr. Mayor. We come before you tonight asking for mayor and council's approval of the FY twenty twenty twenty twenty-two LMIG list. [0:11:02, 0:11:08]: This is the first list from the revised role evaluation that we had done in 2018. [0:11:08, 0:11:09]: And it also [0:11:10, 0:11:27]: uh includes two major roads, Davison Parkway and Old Atlanta Road. We'll also be the first time that we ref resurface streets in carriage lakes. You know, we annexed that I think in 2017. So we'll get two roads in carriage lakes. We'll have two roads in [0:11:27, 0:11:33]: Willow Springs, uh Willow Springs Lane and Sage Court, which are both definitely in need of resurfacing. [0:11:34, 0:11:37]: We'll also have two roles in Monarch Village and we'll also [0:11:38, 0:11:43]: include the legends and I think this is every street in the legends will be [0:11:43, 0:11:46]: resurfaced under the twenty twenty two L me. [0:11:47, 0:11:48]: Okay, fantastic. [0:11:49, 0:11:53]: Council, any questions for Mr. Aaron and or uh Mr. Knighton? I'm sorry, sir. [0:11:54, 0:12:12]: No, I I I was just going to add is as you all know, this is done through an independent grading system, if you will, to determine which roads uh would be on the resurfacing list. So it's not something that's arbitrary, it's something that goes through an analysis to determine uh which roads would be resurfaced. [0:12:12, 0:12:15]: All right, fantastic. Mr. Blount, go ahead, please. [0:12:17, 0:12:28]: Mr. Aaron, you said that the uh list been revised. Is when was the last time the revisions happened and do we have are we able to get a copy of the revisions that was put on the uh the uh list? [0:12:29, 0:12:35]: Mayor and council should have a copy, but I resend that list. This was done in two thousand and I think eighteen. [0:12:36, 0:12:41]: When uh it was requested we do a streets and sidewalk assessment and both of those were done. [0:12:42, 0:12:50]: So there's no new revision since 2018 approval, what you're saying? No, sir. Okay. No, I'm fine, and I got I have that. Thanks. [0:12:52, 0:12:53]: Any other questions from Mr. Aaron? [0:12:53, 0:12:57]: But if anyone needs a copy, I'll send it to the city manager. [0:12:58, 0:12:58]: The same. [0:13:00, 0:13:06]: Thank you. Another question from Mr. Aaron. Then I uh council need a motion to accept this particular list, project list. [0:13:06, 0:13:07]: Tamo. [0:13:07, 0:13:08]: Is there a second [0:13:09, 0:13:10]: Okay. [0:13:10, 0:13:11]: Okay. [0:13:12, 0:13:24]: Ms. Gantt had her hand up. She wasn't speaking and mayor potem. So Blount again. Okay. All right. Good deal. All in favor the I imagine there's no more discussion. So all in favor of the motion, please indicate. [0:13:25, 0:13:34]: Okay, it's unanimous decision. Outstanding. Okay. Uh discussion purposes here. Propose aquatic center. Mr. Knighton, please. Why don't you start this off? [0:13:36, 0:13:44]: Sure. Uh Mayor and Council, as you know, um there's been some recent discussion about the location of aquatic center, which was approved. [0:13:44, 0:13:53]: Via SPLOST 5. Again, uh citizens' voters approved a SPLOSS list, which included an aquatic center, approximately$25 million. [0:13:53, 0:13:56]: Uh the uh discussion has centered upon [0:13:57, 0:14:01]: right now with the county, uh a potential location for the aquatic center. [0:14:02, 0:14:05]: I provided you with a list of an assessment from a consultant. [0:14:06, 0:14:09]: That was hired to assess various locations. [0:14:09, 0:14:12]: The preferred location, uh, as you can see from the consultant. [0:14:13, 0:14:16]: was for the Jodico Bridges at Jodico site. [0:14:17, 0:14:19]: Um the uh [0:14:19, 0:14:20]: Developer of the site. [0:14:21, 0:14:24]: uh essentially has consented to donating [0:14:24, 0:14:27]: the land for uh the aquatic center. [0:14:28, 0:14:30]: uh to be developed and constructed. [0:14:30, 0:14:31]: on said site. [0:14:32, 0:14:39]: Uh a few weeks ago, uh the uh mayor provided a letter with support, of course, from the rest of the members of the council. [0:14:40, 0:14:43]: Uh to uh Chair Harrell to Henry County. [0:14:44, 0:14:45]: Uh, providing support. [0:14:45, 0:14:50]: for the aquatic center to be located at the Bridges of Jodeco site. [0:14:50, 0:14:53]: Since that time there have been some discussions uh by the county. [0:14:54, 0:14:55]: And at a previous meeting it was [0:14:56, 0:14:59]: plan to be discussed however that county meeting was [0:14:59, 0:15:03]: cancelled. It is my understanding that uh the next meeting on March the ninth [0:15:04, 0:15:07]: uh for the county commission will entail a discussion. [0:15:08, 0:15:09]: Аботві локація. [0:15:10, 0:15:13]: uh the decision about the location [0:15:13, 0:15:15]: of the proposed aquatic center. [0:15:16, 0:15:22]: Again, the city's position uh via conversation and via letter from Mayor Ford. [0:15:22, 0:15:24]: Is that the location should be? [0:15:24, 0:15:26]: At the bridges of Jodeco site. [0:15:26, 0:15:28]: Located in the city limits. [0:15:28, 0:15:32]: Of Stockbridge and maintained in the city limits of Stockbridge. [0:15:33, 0:15:36]: Um at this point in time there is not a [0:15:36, 0:15:40]: Schematic or concept that I'm aware of of the aquatic center. [0:15:40, 0:15:43]: Um once a location is determined. [0:15:44, 0:15:48]: then a more definitive uh concept plan andor [0:15:48, 0:15:51]: depiction of what the co the aquatic center would entail. [0:15:52, 0:15:56]: uh would be determined again based on uh size of property, location, etcetera. [0:15:57, 0:15:58]: Um [0:15:58, 0:16:02]: Obviously uh the aquatic center is located in the city limits of Stockbridge. [0:16:02, 0:16:05]: And stock which would by virtue of that [0:16:05, 0:16:07]: Have certain responsibilities. [0:16:07, 0:16:10]: With respect to uh the aquatic center. [0:16:10, 0:16:16]: Of course, discussions um as you know, uh may center around what that looks like uh for a [0:16:17, 0:16:20]: Aquatic center to be located in the city of Stockbridge. [0:16:20, 0:16:23]: Then ultimately constructed by Henry County. [0:16:23, 0:16:26]: I have indicated to the county manager. [0:16:26, 0:16:33]: Um in that uh the city by virtue of Mayor Ford's letter supportive again of the location. [0:16:33, 0:16:37]: And certainly would be willing to uh have open discussions and dialogue. [0:16:37, 0:16:41]: uh with respect to uh the location of the aquatic center. [0:16:42, 0:16:43]: And working with the county to ultimately [0:16:44, 0:16:46]: Place the aquatic center. [0:16:46, 0:16:48]: On the Joteco site. [0:16:49, 0:16:50]: Um [0:16:51, 0:16:56]: That's all I would mention at this point in time, Mayor Ford. I'm sure that uh council members may want to discuss this matter. [0:16:57, 0:17:00]: Um and uh have some form of dialogue. [0:17:00, 0:17:02]: With respect to [0:17:02, 0:17:05]: uh the status of the aquatic proposed aquatic center. [0:17:06, 0:17:08]: Reverable Tim Alezana, go ahead, please, sir. [0:17:09, 0:17:12]: Uh thank you so much, Mr. Knighton, for your presentation and [0:17:13, 0:17:33]: Uh wholeheartedly I support the the Jodeco location. Uh I did see a schematic uh of what the aquatic center would look like uh presented at a previous uh meeting. I think it may have been uh for another location, but in terms of what it was supposed to look like, there is a schematic that actually exists. [0:17:33, 0:17:34]: For what it looks like. [0:17:35, 0:17:39]: Uh moreover than that, what I want to speak to is [0:17:39, 0:17:40]: Uh [0:17:40, 0:17:41]: What I'm hearing from the public. [0:17:42, 0:17:43]: Again and again. [0:17:44, 0:17:46]: Is that they want to see us work together. [0:17:47, 0:17:53]: Uh too often in the past the county and the city cities have uh had issues or they've been at odds. [0:17:53, 0:17:56]: But the public just wants us to roll up our sleeves. [0:17:56, 0:18:00]: and work together collaboratively for the benefit [0:18:01, 0:18:01]: Of everyone. [0:18:02, 0:18:03]: To me. [0:18:03, 0:18:07]: The Johtaco Aquatic Center represents just that. [0:18:07, 0:18:08]: A grand opportunity. [0:18:09, 0:18:16]: where all of us, county and city, can once and for all show the public that we're putting them first. [0:18:16, 0:18:19]: Not the city first, not the county first. [0:18:19, 0:18:20]: Them first. [0:18:20, 0:18:23]: The recommendation was very strong from the consultant. [0:18:24, 0:18:26]: Uh on the uh on the information that I read. [0:18:27, 0:18:34]: The Jodico was a shovel ready project, ready to go right now. The infrastructure was already in, the grounds have been cleared. [0:18:35, 0:18:36]: It was the clear cut favorite. [0:18:37, 0:18:39]: In my conversations with [0:18:39, 0:18:40]: Uh, commissioners. [0:18:40, 0:18:43]: I've been told that they support this particular site. [0:18:43, 0:18:45]: Uh wholeheartedly. [0:18:45, 0:18:47]: And uh that they want to work with the city. [0:18:47, 0:18:51]: Now the proof is in the pudding where we all sit down. [0:18:51, 0:18:52]: Work together. [0:18:52, 0:18:58]: I understand for them this is a very important project. It's an important project for all. [0:18:58, 0:19:04]: Not only am I a city council member in the city of Stockbridge, I'm a Henry County resident as well. [0:19:04, 0:19:06]: I cast the ballot for commissioner. [0:19:06, 0:19:08]: I cast a ballot for city. [0:19:08, 0:19:13]: And I and I want everybody to sit down and to be able to work together. [0:19:13, 0:19:14]: uh in harmony. [0:19:14, 0:19:17]: Because this one right here is a no brainer. [0:19:17, 0:19:23]: where all of us should be able to work together, provide this location that is centrally located. [0:19:23, 0:19:30]: along I seventy five, spurring economic development where we want to drive it along I seventy five. [0:19:31, 0:19:31]: I would hope. [0:19:32, 0:19:36]: Again, that all of us could sit down at the table and we understand that [0:19:36, 0:19:39]: This is a a twenty milyen dollar plus project. [0:19:40, 0:19:41]: And uh mi personally. [0:19:42, 0:19:50]: I don't have any problem with uh Henry County uh controlling the project because they're the major investor, as we would do. [0:19:50, 0:19:55]: with any entity coming into the city to be able to control their project. [0:19:56, 0:19:57]: They bring in a city. [0:19:57, 0:20:00]: A project inside our city limits. [0:20:00, 0:20:02]: So as the property owner [0:20:02, 0:20:05]: Which the land would be donated to them by the developer, I understand. [0:20:06, 0:20:08]: They would have control over the project. [0:20:08, 0:20:11]: And it would be it would behoove us to work with them. [0:20:11, 0:20:14]: uh in every instance to allow them to build [0:20:14, 0:20:21]: the best facility possible. So I certainly wholeheartedly support that and whatever we need to do, in my opinion. [0:20:22, 0:20:27]: We should do that to work together to bring this aquatic center to the city of Stockbridge. Thank you. [0:20:28, 0:20:40]: In the thank you, sir, in the actual letter that uh you all um allowed me to write and sign off and get your approval, it talked about the fact that uh that we had a a joint agreement uh at the sense that this would be a great site. [0:20:41, 0:20:44]: And also the fact that uh we look forward to developing [0:20:44, 0:20:46]: in a governmental type of agreement. [0:20:47, 0:20:48]: That we will review. [0:20:49, 0:20:54]: And uh that uh eventually myself along with Chair Hurrel will sign off on, but obviously [0:20:54, 0:21:02]: I personally won't sign off on until you all look at it and you approve that we got a consensus to approve all the outlines or details of that agreement. So I look forward to that. [0:21:02, 0:21:15]: that agreement and sharing that obviously with the rest of the council and staff and and continuing uh uh the coordination uh with Chair Harell and all the commissioners on this particular particular project uh for uh the citizens of Henry County. [0:21:15, 0:21:21]: Uh so I I would say we're all in, but uh any other comments uh that anybody may want to have on this particular issue? [0:21:22, 0:21:25]: Discussion. Uh Councilman Thomas, go ahead, sir. [0:21:25, 0:21:29]: I just want to echo the sentiment of uh Mayor Pro Tem and yourself. [0:21:30, 0:21:32]: Uh I am фейvr ін фейвер. [0:21:32, 0:21:44]: Um, as Mr. Knighton alluded to, the uh IGA, I just think we just need to sit down and and and you know, hash out, you know, all of the details, but uh I am totally in favor of this location. [0:21:45, 0:21:47]: Thank you, sir. Anybody else? [0:21:49, 0:21:50]: Okay. [0:21:50, 0:21:52]: Yeah, yes, sir. Go ahead, please. [0:21:53, 0:22:00]: Well, I was I was wanting to wait to hear from uh some of the other council members and see whether or not they had anything to say, but it looks like we have um [0:22:01, 0:22:03]: uh unanimous consent on this. [0:22:03, 0:22:04]: Синь ассет. [0:22:05, 0:22:07]: What I'd like for us to do is to consider [0:22:07, 0:22:22]: just uh indicating to the council uh in a resolution that we certainly would like to support uh the Jodico location uh via an IGA with an official vote of the council. [0:22:22, 0:22:27]: The letter uh came through you, Mary. It was a great job, it was a great s a great initial step. [0:22:27, 0:22:40]: But for us to take the next step and actually vote uh on a resolution where the council can clearly state and go on the record that we s we uh are basically codifying everything that you put. [0:22:40, 0:22:42]: Uh in your letter with the city council vote. [0:22:43, 0:22:50]: I s suggest that we do that. So I'd like to make a motion for us to have uh a city resolution. [0:22:50, 0:22:52]: That states that we [0:22:52, 0:22:54]: The city of Startbridge fully support. [0:22:55, 0:22:57]: The bridges are Jodico location. [0:22:57, 0:22:59]: For the Henry County Aquatic Center. [0:22:59, 0:23:01]: And we would like to accomplish that through that. [0:23:02, 0:23:05]: to an intergovernmental agreement that will be put forth. [0:23:05, 0:23:07]: uh by Henry County and negotiated. [0:23:07, 0:23:13]: uh uh with the city. I just want to make that official through a vote. So I certainly like to make a motion for that. [0:23:14, 0:23:21]: I second you'll give you second. Well, Miss Barber, I think, had her hand up to second that. That's what I have here. Is that right, Miss Barber? Is that what you do? [0:23:22, 0:23:26]: Okay. You unmuted. Were you you have something you needed to add, Miss Barber? Something else you want to say? [0:23:26, 0:23:28]: No? You good? [0:23:28, 0:23:32]: Okay, all right, good deal. Ms. Gan. [0:23:33, 0:23:52]: Anything else? No, I think it's excellent. I'm excited. Um, I think that the community is waiting on this. There's been a lot of talk on the product center. I think it's an excellent location. I'd like to thank um Jeff Grant, along with anyone else who and and um our Madam Chair. [0:23:52, 0:23:54]: Uh Carlotta Harel? [0:23:55, 0:24:01]: for meeting and collaborating and coming to Mayor and Council with this great idea. And so [0:24:01, 0:24:08]: um and all of the rest of the county commissioners, I would like to thank them and hope in advance for their support as well. So [0:24:08, 0:24:09]: That's it. [0:24:09, 0:24:13]: Okay, good deal. If there's no the cop I'm sorry, Ms. Bla uh Mr Blount, go ahead, please. [0:24:15, 0:24:21]: Yeah, I I wanted uh to um just piggyback on those sentiments uh myself and um [0:24:21, 0:24:25]: And thank you, Ms. Collada Morrell, uh Council uh Chairman. [0:24:25, 0:24:27]: Colonerail. Uh she's um [0:24:27, 0:24:35]: She's definitely been an asset to this county uh since she's taken office. And I've seen her um just reach across. [0:24:36, 0:24:46]: reach across every line that I've seen since she's been in office and uh I'm I'm I'm proud to see her making a difference in the uh in in Henry County. And I just wanna say uh [0:24:46, 0:24:49]: Uh I I thank her for what she's doing with the county. [0:24:50, 0:24:50]: Okay. [0:24:51, 0:24:55]: If there's no other comments, I'll call for the vote. So all in favor of the motion, please indicate. [0:24:56, 0:25:16]: Okay, so nanos decision. Thank you very much. Okay, now we're going to go into executive session. So, Ms. Holliday, I would imagine you need to send all of us, the uh the attorneys and uh the council members um in this aspect uh connectivity to uh the for the executive session to uh talk over some legal matters. [0:25:16, 0:25:17]: Okay. [0:25:18, 0:25:20]: And uh in this aspect. [0:25:22, 0:25:25]: You're able to do that? Yes, I just need the vote to enter. [0:25:27, 0:25:33]: Excuse me. Yes, yeah, hold on a second. You need a vote to enter. I don't I'm sorry, I'm lo I might I must be lost. [0:25:33, 0:25:36]: Oh, the vote was un on this last vote was unanimous. [0:25:37, 0:25:43]: I I'm I move I I move the motion that we go to the second session. I'm sorry. Excuse me. Is there a second? [0:25:45, 0:25:48]: I said Okay, all in favor, please indicate. So yeah, so you you've got to understand Mr. Washington, Mr. Barrett, the council. And uh in this case I I will have to [0:26:27, 0:26:30]: We'll be missing one council member in this aspect. [0:26:30, 0:26:33]: Okay. But we'll be sent another link for Ms. Hollis. Okay. [0:26:34, 0:26:37]: I'll I'll be sending a link. Yes. Okay. [0:26:37, 0:26:39]: Okay. I'll see you on a few minutes. [0:26:40, 0:26:41]: Okay. [0:26:41, 0:26:41]: Yeah. [0:27:17, 0:27:18]: Yeah. [0:27:48, 0:27:50]: Remating on Mayor Ford. [0:27:52, 0:27:53]: Yeah, and uh [0:27:55, 0:27:58]: Councilman Alexander would also need to be brought back, correct? [0:27:58, 0:28:01]: I sent a message. [0:28:01, 0:28:02]: Okay. Okay. [0:28:02, 0:28:04]: Yeah, he he needs to come back. [0:28:32, 0:28:32]: No. [0:28:33, 0:28:36]: So everybody's here except for him at this point. [0:28:38, 0:28:43]: I've sent him a message. I don't I've sent him a message. I don't uh [0:28:52, 0:28:52]: Yeah. [0:28:54, 0:28:56]: How long ago did you do that, uh, Miss Holliday? [0:28:58, 0:29:02]: I I've said it twice. [0:29:10, 0:29:12]: Okay. Um [0:29:14, 0:29:21]: All right. Here's what we're going to do. We have a quorum. Um, we're gonna go forward. I need a motion to end this exit session, please. [0:29:22, 0:29:24]: I'm moved. No second. [0:29:25, 0:29:29]: And Councilman Barber seconds that all in favor, please indicate. [0:29:31, 0:29:37]: All right, thank you very much. Uh now I need a motion to reconvene our uh council work session. [0:29:38, 0:29:39]: So moved. [0:29:39, 0:29:45]: Okay, is there a second? Second. Okay. Councilman Thomas. Okay, appreciate it. [0:29:46, 0:29:47]: All favor, please indicate. [0:29:48, 0:30:02]: All right. Thank you very much. All right, now there are a couple of things that came out of the actual um our executive session. So I need uh those items bring forward. And first thing, uh uh Councilman Belunt, I believe you have a motion. [0:30:03, 0:30:05]: Yeah, so maybe maybe [0:30:06, 0:30:26]: um i don't i'd like to make a motion to approve um acquiring um mr williams services for three months contractual for seven thousand dollars pertaining to uh the city's uh litigation uh matters with uh by the [0:30:26, 0:30:26]: Mm. [0:30:27, 0:30:27]: There's a second. [0:30:28, 0:30:29]: A second. [0:30:29, 0:30:32]: Okay. All flavored emotion, please indicate. [0:30:34, 0:30:35]: Apples. [0:30:37, 0:30:43]: Okay. It it passes uh three zero Miss Barber, you you abstain abstaining? [0:30:45, 0:30:46]: I'm sorry, I can't hear you. [0:30:47, 0:30:48]: Okay. [0:30:49, 0:30:50]: Alex Dane. [0:30:50, 0:31:03]: Okay, so it's please zero one. Okay. Um it passes. All right, Miss Kant. I actually have Mr. Alexander raise his hand on that vote and I just need to ask the attorney do I accept that vote or not? [0:31:04, 0:31:09]: Three's uh well the attorneys can answer. I I know it passed, but I just need to ask for the record. [0:31:12, 0:31:14]: I would think that it should not be counted [0:31:15, 0:31:16]: Given the interest in the litigation. [0:31:17, 0:31:17]: Okay. [0:31:18, 0:31:25]: Thank you. I just want to clarify. Thank you. Okay. Um, Miss Gantt, do you have a another motion for us? [0:31:26, 0:31:30]: Yes. Yes, I I move that we [0:31:30, 0:31:31]: Um [0:31:32, 0:31:39]: approve and welcome um Mrs. Breca Johnson as our community development director. [0:31:40, 0:31:45]: Okay, Mr. Thomas seconds that all in favor of motion, please indicate. [0:31:47, 0:31:55]: Okay, she now decision. Fantastic. Congratulations to her. Look forward to meeting her in person and talking with her. And now you're welcome, sir. [0:31:55, 0:32:15]: And re in reference to my my comments. Uh recently, as you well know, ladies and gentlemen, that the uh state of Texas has been hit with uh a tragic inc incident where they lost a lot of power and uh the folks in Texas uh uh have a rough, rough time. It just so happens that here in the city, excuse me, in the county, in the h in Henry County. [0:32:15, 0:32:23]: The American Legion post five uh five sixteen along with the Henry Gow County government and participating cities to include Stockbridge. [0:32:24, 0:32:35]: have um gathered up a pallet of water to send down to Te uh Texas to support those individuals down there. And that uh that truckload of water is headed out uh tomorrow morning. [0:32:35, 0:32:55]: Uh so hopefully individuals I know individuals from the county itself from different parts of cities and other cities, include Stockbridge, has um uh went on and d delivered or uh or donated water to help those citizens of of Texas and and hopefully if we ever come in a situation here in Henry County and Georgia, the Texas do the same for us if we have any type of [0:32:55, 0:32:59]: natural disaster or some incident that'll cause havoc for us as well. [0:32:59, 0:33:19]: Um on this note I probably need Ms. uh Holiday to help me out on this. It's your constitutional right to vote. So right now, folks, the East PLOS number six is up for a vote. We can't advocate yes or no here in this venue, uh, but it's your constitutional right to vote. And of course that it's a referendum that that's going on right now. Early voting is going [0:33:19, 0:33:24]: one of Merrill Manor's uh conference center on the sixteenth of March is actual um [0:33:24, 0:33:44]: election date and I believe that'd be held only held at um in Madonna, I believe that is. Is that correct, uh Miss Holliday? That's correct. Okay. So that deals with uh roughly three hundred twenty-five million dollars of of uh cash uh for the school system itself Henry's Henry County school system capital school projects technology technology [0:33:44, 0:33:56]: technology improvements and transportation and fine arts uh improvements. So uh once again it's your constitution and right to uh voice your opinion on that. As you well know, we're still in a pandemic. [0:33:57, 0:34:08]: And so when y'all in the public domain, wear your mask, wash your hands when you can, use hand side and tanner when you can't wash your hands, stay six feet of distance away, don't go to large gatherings. [0:34:08, 0:34:19]: The big thing now these days is a vaccination. Okay. And so uh and I know a lot of you having problems uh getting getting a vaccination at this point, but you gotta keep trying and calling that number. [0:34:19, 0:34:27]: Uh so here in Henry County, uh they're now rotating the vaccination site to several different locations in Henry County for the month of March. [0:34:27, 0:34:47]: Just so happens a week ago last Tuesday, and we were at Merrill Manor's Conference Center, and well over 600 plus citizens, uh senior citizens typically received the first doses of the vaccination, Moderna, Moderna vaccination. Just earlier today, uh roughly 600 plus more citizens were given a vaccination the first. [0:34:47, 0:34:51]: first doses of Moderna, Moderna at um JP Mosley. [0:34:51, 0:34:59]: Recreational Center. Um, and the following week, uh next Tuesday, it'll be a Locust Grove Senior Center. [0:34:59, 0:35:10]: It's two eighty Moss uh Berman Road. Screw me Mouse uh Moss Brown Drive, I'm sorry, two eighty Mouse uh Moss Brown Drive in Locus Grove next Tuesday. [0:35:10, 0:35:12]: It starts at eight thirty in the morning. [0:35:12, 0:35:14]: So starting tomorrow morning. [0:35:14, 0:35:20]: Tomorrow morning at eight thirty, you can start calling to make your reservations and appointments for that particular [0:35:20, 0:35:23]: uh location to get your vaccination next next Tuesday. [0:35:24, 0:35:25]: So Wednesday to Friday. [0:35:25, 0:35:30]: They'll be septing your uh your actual reservations. Do you have to call this number? [0:35:30, 0:35:31]: Seven six two. [0:35:32, 0:35:36]: eight eight eight eight one eight zero. Once again seven six two [0:35:36, 0:35:38]: eight eight eight eight one eight zero. [0:35:39, 0:35:43]: open those lines are open from uh Wednesday to Friday, eight AM to five PM. [0:35:43, 0:35:47]: And they'll they'll stop accepting those reservations when they're maxed out with their appointments. [0:35:48, 0:35:53]: Now you have to keep trying,'cause obviously you have to you have to keep trying to get through, but it can be done. So be patient with that. [0:35:53, 0:36:13]: Now obviously, uh like I said, next Tuesday at Locust Grove Senior Center, and then the uh following week on the 23rd uh of uh uh of March. Excuse me, so I'm sorry, on the 9th of March, actually for the two weeks, on March 2nd and March 9th, March 2nd and March 9th, both at Locust Grove, both Tuesdays. [0:36:13, 0:36:17]: That starts at 8 30 in the morning until all the vaccinations are done. [0:36:17, 0:36:31]: So the second and ninth at Locust Grove on the 16th, they'll be back at Merrill Manor's Conference Center. Uh now on that uh aspect that those will be for the individuals to get their second dosage, people that got their dosage at Merrill Manor last Tuesday. [0:36:32, 0:36:42]: One month later, they'll come back to Merrill Manager for the second shot. Okay, to Mederma. And as this is the same type of process that goes on the uh the twenty-third at JP Mosley. [0:36:42, 0:36:47]: And so those are those would be the individuals that got their shot today primarily to get the second shot. [0:36:47, 0:36:50]: And then on the March thirtieth to be back at Locus Grove Senior Center. [0:36:50, 0:36:54]: Okay. Now even though we have the vaccinations, they're still [0:36:54, 0:37:01]: some people still need to get uh tested and testing goes on daily at the heritage centers at Heritage Senior Center. [0:37:01, 0:37:04]: In uh on my on uh in Madonna. [0:37:04, 0:37:14]: Okay. Uh so um that happens Monday to Thursday, nine AM to three PM. Nine AM to three PM, Monday to Thursday, Saturday, nine AM to twelve noon. [0:37:15, 0:37:17]: And you need to make a reservation for that as well. [0:37:17, 0:37:21]: Uh it's eight hundred eight four seven four two six two. Once again, eight hundred [0:37:22, 0:37:23]: eight four seven four two six two. [0:37:24, 0:37:27]: Uh so if you need to get tested, please do that. [0:37:27, 0:37:43]: And but more or less we're before and you gotta be patient with the vaccination piece. Now obviously you have uh places like uh CVS and Publix or Walgreens that are also private of uh uh private individuals that also are given out the vaccination. You have to call them directly to do that. [0:37:43, 0:37:45]: All right, so hopefully you [0:37:45, 0:38:05]: You'll be get your vaccination as soon as possible. When you're qualified to do so, you need to eradicate and stomp out this uh this particular virus. So just keep the faith with that as well. And right now we're still in phase one, a expanded, so it deals with healthcare individuals, police officers, firefighters, individuals over 65 years of age. [0:38:05, 0:38:09]: And the h and the care, the first care uh givers that are actually part of the process here. [0:38:10, 0:38:14]: Okay, city offices are closed due to COVID nineteen precautions, of course, until this point. [0:38:14, 0:38:34]: And uh please contact the city's website, uh citystopridge.com, and you get a hold of each department and get additional information and get services here in in the city. Uh upcoming meetings and announcements. Uh there's um going to be a city council meeting course at 6 p.m. by Zoom. [0:38:34, 0:38:54]: Second Monday of each month.
